Jaden's p.o.v.

Jaden was sitting in his room together with Syrus. They were having test duels for the upcoming exam. They needed to study and since Jaden couldn't borrow his sisters notes, he had test anxiety. They were having a simulation duel on the PDA and Jaden had Burstinatrix and Clayman on the field. Syrus had three monsters, Drillroid, Gyroid and Patroid on the field. Syrus was smiling now.

”I attack your Clayman with Drillroid, and Burstinatrix with Patroid!” He said and grinned ”You are wide open now Jaden!”. Syrus attacked with his last monster. Jaden looked in horror, when he lost the duel. Jaden sighed.

”I need to learn how to stay calm doing tests!” said Jaden and sighed. Syrus grinned.

”You just need to chill out Jay!” Syrus said ”Like Chumley over there!”. Jaden looked up at the top bunk bed. Chumley was lying op there and were taking a nap like always. Jaden looked at Syrus now.

”Um Syrus, is Chumley not too relaxed! We have exam week this week!”. He said. 

”I think he is just fine!” said Syrus and looked at Chumley ”He is only tired! I heard he was up the whole night studying!”. Jaden looked a little surprised.

”It doesn't sound like Chumley!” said Jaden surprised ”He is not a ace studier!”. 

”Jaden!” yelled Syrus in a low voice ”Chumley needs to pass his exam this time. He didn't pass two times already. If he doesn't pass this time, he is being kicked out!”.

Jaden scratched his hair. He had totally forgotten that. He looked at Chumley. He really hoped that Chumley would pass this time. What Jaden didn't know, was that Chumley was awake and had heard it all. 

Tara's p.o.v.

Tara was sitting in the classroom and was drawing. They had art. Jaden and Syrus was sitting two rows from Tara. Chumley was sitting one row from her. However Tara could see what her brother was drawing. It was a really bad drawing of something looking like Sparkman. Tara looked at Syrus's drawing. Was that a bad copy of Dark magician girl? Tara sighed and looked at her picture. This was really a masterpiece. A really good picture of Cyber tech alligator. Tara loved it. However Tara could hear some of her classmate laugh at her in the background. Tara sighed. Maybe her drawing skills were as bad as Jaden's. 

”Hey Chumley what did you draw!” asked Jaden him. Tara bowed forward to look. He had made the most beautiful picture of ayers rock. Everyone was complimenting him. And of course Jaden had no idea what Ayers rock was. Syrus began telling him. Suddenly Dr. Crowler appeared on the screen. He asked Chumley to come to Chancellor Shepherds office. Tara looked at Chumley. He looked worried!

Chumley p.o.v.

Chumley arrived at the Chancellor's office some minutes later. He was really worried. It was only bad people who was sent to the chancellor's office. Bad people, or people who gets an award or something. Chumley knew he didn't get any award, so he assumed that he had done something bad. He was standing in front of the Chancellor now. Dr. Crowler was standing beside Sheppard and they both looked worried. Chumley gulped a little.

”So am I busted out anything!” asked Chumley worried. Sheppard just smiled.

”No, no!” He said and smiled ”I called you because I have some very good news!”. Sheppard took a card from his pocket and gave it to Chumley. Chumley looked surprised at him. This was his card. He had made a picture of it!

”This is my card, but how?!” asked Chumley confused. Shepard smiled.

”You won the competition at Industrial Illusions!” Sheppard said. Chumley looked confused at Sheppard and then at his card. 

”But who chose me!” said Chumley confused. Suddenly the television screen at Chancellor's office turned on. A man with long silver hair was smiling on it. It was Maximillion pegasus. He was smiling at Chumley.

”I did! Chumley boy!” He said and waved ”Your cards were the best!”. Chumley felt flattered. Pegasus and the teachers began discussion Chumley's future. Pegasus want Chumley as one of his employee. Chumley was really happy. However Crowler was stating that Chumley should graduate first, and they all suddenly agreed, that if Chumley could win a duel over Crowler, Chumley was hired by pegasus. 

”Oh and Chumley boy!” said Pegasus suddenly ”You shouldn't know these two students, Tara and Jaden!”. Chumley looked confused. 

”Um I know them!” Chumley said ”They are my lischus friends!”. Pegasus smiled. 

”Fantastic!” said Pegasus ”I will arrive at your school tomorrow, to see your duel! Meet me at the harbor tomorrow! Oh and tell Jaden and Tara that I have a little gift for them! Goodbye!”. Pegasus waved and disappeared from the screen. Chumley looked worried and confused. He has to beat Crowler in a duel! And what in the world does Pegasus want with Tara and Jaden?!

Tara's p.o.v.

Tara, jaden and Syrus was standing outside the door to Sheppard's office. They were waiting for Chumley. A little bit later, Chumley appeared. Tara saw that Chumley looked a little worried. 

”Hey what's this!” said Jaden suddenly and took the card out of the hand of Chumley ”Hey it's your card. They made one of your pictures!”. Chumley nodded.

”Pegasus called! He want's me to work for him!” Chumley said proud. Jaden and Syrus began congratulate him, however Tara was still looking at Chumley.

”Chumley!” She said ”That's not all right! There is more!”. Chumley smiled.

”You always figure people out Tara!” He said and sighed. He told them everything that had happened. Jaden tried to intervene, but Tara stopped him. Chumley had to tell the whole story. When he was finished, both Tara and Jaden was surprised.

”Wait! You are telling me, that Pegasus is coming here tomorrow!” said Jaden and smiled ”You said he had gifts for us!”. Chumley nodded. 

”There must be something fishy here!” said Tara ”The owner of Industrial Illusions are coming, and want to give us some gifts! It sounds like a trap!”. Jaden grinned.

”Oh stop being so paranoid Tara!” said Jaden and grinned ”He properly want to thank us, because we saved the world and stuff!”. Tara sighed and shrugged. 

”However what about Chumley!” asked Syrus ”He shall take down Crowler in a duel! And Pegasus is going to watch!”. Tara nodded worried. However Jaden was just grinning and gave Chumley a friendly boy hug. 

”Ah Chumley is going to be fine!” He said ”And of course we are gonna help him prepare and stuff!”. Tara smiled. Chumley smiled too. 

”You are all my lischus friends!” said Chumley. Tara grinned. 

”Of course we are!” Tara said and smiled ”You are our friend two!”. They all had a big bear hug. Then Jaden, Syrus and Chumley left towards the slifer dorm. Tara figured Jaden would be enough to prepare Chumley for his duel tomorrow. Tara was a little worried though. About the gifts from Pegasus. 

In the morning at the harbor.

”I can't wait for these gifts!” said Jaden excited. He was really impatient. Tara sighed.

”Jaden relax!” Tara said and sighed. ”Think about how Chumley feels right now!”. They were standing at the harbor, together with the rest of the school. It was not every day the owner of industrial illusions appeared. Tara was leaning up against Zane, who had placed his arms protected around her. Chumley and Syrus was sitting at the edge to the ocean, with their legs hanging over the edge. Alexis was standing near Jaden and was trying to make him relax together with Atticus. Mindy and Jasmine was fighting over Atticus and was also trying to flirt with him. Chazz was leaning at the storage bunkers together with Bastion. Even the Chancellor and the teachers was assembled. They were all waiting. Suddenly a giant helicopter arrived in the air. It was a really big one! It landed on the big platform. Tara looked at Chumley. He looked a little worried. Tara saw that Jaden grabbed Chumleys arm and began walking over there. Tara followed together with Zane. The rest of their friends followed. The Chancellor and Crowler was already ready greeting pegasus, who just had walked out of the helicopter. He was shaking hands with both Sheppard and Crowler. Pegasus smiled and turned towards Chumley. 

”Ah Chumley boy!” Pegasus said ”It is so good to see you in person!”. He shook Chumley's hands. Chumley smiled awkwardly. Pegasus turned around now and looked at the crowd. He was waving to all the students.

”So Chumley boy! Where are Tara and Jaden! The two heroes of the..!” Pegasus said but got interrupted by Jaden. He was jumping up and down and waving with his hands. Tara facepalmed and sighed. She walked over to Jaden. 

”I am here!” screamed Jaden. Pegasus looked at him. Tara hit Jaden on the head. 

”Behave Jaden!” She said. However the whole school had heard them by now, and they all made way for Tara and Jaden. Tara blushed and walked over to Pegasus. 

”Ah Tara you are as beautiful as your mother!” Pegasus said and took her hand and kissed it like a gentle man. He looked at Jaden. 

”And Jaden, Yugi boy has told me a little about you!” Pegasus said. 

”Um you know our mother!” asked Tara confused. Pegasus nodded.

”And the king of games has told you about me!” Jaden added. Pegasus nodded again.

”But enough about this!” Pegasus said and smiled ”I have a little gift for both of you! You can come out now!”. The helicopter door opened and a girl appeared. She smiled at Jaden and Tara. Tara looked surprised and happy. So did Jaden. 

”Maiyo!” They both screamed in unison and rushed over and gave the girl a hug. 

”Tara! Jaden! It has bin a long time!” said Maiyo and hugged both of them too. 

(A,N: This girl is one I have created! She is Jaden and Tara's cousin and is called Maiyo! She is a year younger than the twins! Her last name is revealed in the story!) 

”So let's make this reunion private!” said Pegasus and began walking towards the school with Chumley and the teachers. Some of the students moved away too. However the twins friends stayed of course. Tara looked at Maiyo. She was grown since last time their saw each other. She was thin, had blond long hair and blue eyes. She had white skin, and was around same height as Jaden. She was wearing a red jacket and had black skirt on. And red boots. 

”So who is this beauty!” said Chazz and was trying to flirt with Maiyo. Tara pushed him away. Jaden and Maiyo grinned.

”Um this is our cousin Maiyo!” Jaden introduced. Maiyo curtsied and turned towards Tara. She grabbed her hands. 

”Um so Tara! Do you still hate uncle!” She asked ”I really want you to make up! If you did, you could visit more often! Last time was... like forever!”. 

”5 years!” added Jaden and grinned ”I am counting!”. Tara sighed. 

”I don't hate him!” Tara said and sighed ”I... just don't trust him or forgive him, that's all!”. Maiyo hugged Tara and smiled. 

”Well I am relieved to hear that!” said a voice suddenly ”I thought you would kill me if I ever showed!”. Tara turned towards the helicopter. The door opened again and a man appeared. He was tall, had short yellow hair like Maiyo's and blue eyes. He was dressed in a blue suit. He had the suit jacket open and revealed a white shirt under it. 

”Uncle!” screamed the twins in unison. Their friends looked really surprised. 

”Wait your uncle is Joey Wheeler, the third best duelist in the world!” said Bastion amazed. The others all gasped. Chazz was mumbling something. Something about that couldn't be true. Joey waved at them. Maiyo rushed over to her father. 

”Daddy!” She said and smiled ”See! Tara doesn't hate you!”. Joey smiled at her. 

”I can see that!” He said and began walking over to Tara. She was totally stunned. Jaden however smiled and began walking over to him. 

”Uncle!” He said and gave him a bear hug ”Long time, no see!”. Joey smiled.

”What's up kiddo!” He said ”I can see you both have grown!”. Jaden grinned. Tara looked at their uncle. She felt a lot of feelings boiling up. She looked at her confused friends and back at her uncle. Then she looked at Jaden and Maiyo. Tears began falling down her cheeks. Tara clenched her fists. 

”I knew it!” She screamed ”There were something fishy about this! I don't need this gift! I don't need this!”. Tara began running away from the harbor. She could hear Zane and Jaden scream her name in the background. However she didn't care. She needed to be alone!

Some time after.

Tara was sitting on a little hill in a forest clearing. The same place, she had dates with Zane actually. Tara had walked around in the forest endlessly. She let her anger out of the trees, some bushed, and other stuff she could find. However now she was finally calmed down a little bit. She hoped that Chumley's duel was going well, but she didn't want to attend to it. She was looking at her deck. The tree duel cards she got from Joey, their uncle. However Gatling dragon was given too her on her last birthday. At that time with their mother! That was the reason she couldn't use the card yet. She was looking at the dragon. 

”Oh Gatling dragon!” she said ”It is not your fault! I just can't get over it! It is all my fault for being to stubborn!”. Tara sighed. 

”I see you still is keeping the dragon!” said a voice suddenly ”That's at least a start!”. 

Tara turned around and saw her uncle behind her. Tara sighed and got up on her feet.

”How did you find me!” said Tara. She didn't want to run away. 

”Your boyfriend told me!” He said and shrugged ”A sweet boy, that Zane!”.

”Why did he do that!” Tara asked confused. Joey smiled and approached her.

”Because Jaden told them the truth!” He said ”That you are my Niese! That you two changed your surnames to Yuki! And that you are my sister Serenity's daughter, who died five years ago!”. Tara just snort. Joey sighed. He sat down on the hill. 

”Tara, please!” He asked ”Please sit down and talk to me!”. Tara looked at him.

”Okay! You want me to talk!” screamed Tara suddenly ”Okay! You can't just appear here and expect that everything would be fine again! I know Jaden forgives you! He likes you,  always loved you, but I don't!!”. Joey sighed.

”Tara please!” Joey said. Tara just snort at him. 

”You weren't there, when everything went wrong! You weren't there when I got kidnapped! You weren't there when mom died, and you weren't even at her funeral! You showed up 2 ½ years later, thinking that we would forgive you by then! But hey guess what I STILL DON'T FORGIVE YOU!” screamed Tara angry ”We were all alone! Our father.. We don't know anything about, wasn't there either! My brother was Heartbroken after moms... death! I had to take care of everything!”. Tara took a deep breath. She gasped after air now. Joey looked at her. He got up on his feet, and suddenly grabbed her. He gave her a big hug. Tara began to cry. She couldn't hold it back any longer.  

”I am sorry!” said Joey suddenly ”It wasn't my intentions not to be there for you! I was overseas! Having my duel career, together with Mai, and Maiyo! We were traveling a lot! We didn't hear about your accident and Serenity's death before it was too late. We rushed back as soon as we heard it, but you wouldn't want to talk to us! I must have bin hard on you! I am really sorry!”. Tara was sobbing now. 

”You didn't care!” said Tara angry ”You didn't care about her! And us!”. 

”That is not true Tara!” said Joey a little angry ”And you know that too!”. He let go of her. Tara looked at him and sighed. Deep down she knew that was true.

”I am not asking for your forgiveness!” said Joey suddenly ”All that I wish is that we could meet more often, and be a family again!”. Tara looked at him. She didn't know what to say. However a little bit after, she turned around. 

”I have to see my friends duel now!” She said and rushed towards the academy. She didn't want to look back. 

A,N: Yeps paired Joey together with Mai Valentine. And they got a daughter called Maiyo Wheeler, and she is actually a pro duelist like Aster. However this girl is not going to be in the rest of the story! Her name is a combination of Joey and Mai. 

Jaden's p.o.v.

Jaden was sitting at the tribune and looked at the duel field. He was waiting for Chumley's duel to begin. Jaden looked at the exit again. He really hoped Tara would show. However he had a feeling that she wouldn't. 

”I still can't believe that you are in family with one of the best duelists in the world!” said Chazz angry ”Why didn't you tell us!”. Jaden sighed. 

”Tara wouldn't want to remember the past! And more importantly, you would treat us as real friend, and not because you want something from us!” Jaden said and sighed. 

”Oh I get it!” said Bastion ”Like that pile of fans outside the dueling field!”. Jaden nodded. Their cousin Maiyo was a pro duelist too. A duel kid genius! So of course she was surrounded by her fans. That was also the reason there weren't a lot of people. The duel was about to start. Chumley and Crowler met in the arena and shuffled each others deck. Jaden looked up at one of the exits. He really hoped that Tara would be here. However their were still no sign of her. The duel began. 

Chumley: 4000Lp.

Crowler: 4000Lp.

Chumley started off by placing a monster facedown. It was Crawlers turn. He did a more impressive move. He played the spell card ”Magnet circle lv 2”. With that card, Crowler could summon his ”Ancient gear” to the field. It special eff activated. Crowler could summon another one from his deck. Then he sacrificed it to summon his ”Ancient gear golem” to the field in att. He attacked Chumley with his monster, and because of its eff, he also gave Chumley piercing damage. However the monster Crowler attacked was ”Des koala” and because of it's flip eff, Crowler got hit by 800 points of damage. Jaden smiled. 

”When did Chumley learn to duel like that!” asked Alexis. Jaden grinned. 

”Well me and Syrus gave him some dueling tips!” said Jaden proud. 

”Yeah, He is now a lean mean dueling machine!” said Syrus and waved at Chumley ”Um okay maybe not the lean part, but you get it!”. Jaden grinned. The duel continued. Chumley summoned the monster ”Eucalyptus Mole” in def mode. He laid down a facedown and ended his turn. It was Crowler's turn. He attacked Chumley's monster and gave him even more damage. Chumley had 1100 Lp's left. However since Crowler destroyed Chumley's mole, he could now summon his ”Big Koala” to the field. Crowler summoned his ”Ancient gear soldier” to the field in def mode. It was Chumley's turn again. He used the spell ”Wild nature's release”. This spell card added Big Koala's def points to it's att points. The monster now had 4700 att. His monster attacked Crowler's golem and dealt him some damage. Then he used his trap card called ”Beast soul swap”, and swapped his Koala on his field, with another one from his hand. Jaden smiled. If Chumley didn't, the spell he used, would have destroyed his Koala in the next turn. Chumley could also attack again. He destroyed Crowler's soldier. It was Crowler's turn again. He used ”Pot of greed” and got two more cards. Then he used the spell card ”Ancient gear factory”. With this card, he could actually summon another Golem to the field. The only thing he needed to do, was remove monsters from his grave. Their level should be double the level, as the monster he sacrificed. However Crowler had enough monsters. Ancient gear golem was back. He attacked Chumley's monster. It got destroyed, however Chumley activated his trap ”Animal trail”. He got ”des Kangaroo” added to his hand. Crowler activated the spell ”Ancient gear drill”. With this card, he could take any spell from his deck and place it facedown on the field. He ended his turn. Jaden looked at Chumley. He was sweating a lot and looked really worried. Jaden was about to say something, when suddenly a voice scream. 

”Don't give up Chumley! You can do it! Remember your friends are always with you”. Jaden and the rest of the gang, followed the sound of the voice, and saw Tara standing near the exit. She was smiling. Jaden noticed that she was sweating a little, and figured, that she had run all the way here, from where ever it had been. Chumley looked at her. Suddenly the rest of the gang also began cheering. Chumley smiled and looked more concentrated than ever. Jaden smiled and waved at his sister. She waved back.

Tara's p.o.v.

Tara was standing close to the exit and waved at her friends. She was a little out of breath. In the shadows was uncle and Maiyo standing. They were also watching this match, but they didn't want to take the spotlight away from Chumley. However Tara just ignored them. The duel continued. It was Chumley's turn. He drew and stared at the card. Tara had a feeling she knew what card that was. She was sure it was Chumley's own card. And she was right, when he played the spell ”Ayers rock sunrise”. The card had two eff. Chumley could first summon a beast from his grave. He chose ”Big koala”. Then for every beast monster in his grave, Crowler's golem loses 200 points. The Golem had 2600 att now. Chumley fused his koala and des Kangaroo to summon ”Master of oz” in att mode. Chumley attacked but Crowler was ready. He activated his his spell card ”Limit removal” and doubled his Golem's att points. It was now stronger than Chumley's monster. In the end Chumley lost the duel. Tara could see that he was crying now. Tara was about to run over to him, when she heard her uncle speak.

”Impressive!” Joey said ”Your friend dueled really well! He reminds me of the time, when I was a newbie!”. Tara looked at him. 

”I could do better!” said Maiyo. Joey looked at her. 

”Maiyo, what have I said about bragging!”. He said in a angry tone. She sighed. 

”I know, I know daddy!” She said and smiled ”Respect your opponents!”. Tara smiled. In some kind of way, she reminded her a little of Chazz. Joey sighed. 

”Tara, we will be waiting at the harbor!” He said ”Talk to Jaden, and if you both decide that we shall be a family again, then tell us there!”. They both turned around and walked out of there. Tara was standing there for a moment and was thinking. However she woke up from her dream world, when Crowler announced that Chumley had passed his exams. Tara rushed down there, together with the rest of the gang. They all congratulated him. Pegasus even gave him a big hand, and was happy to work with him soon. 

Time skip...at the harbor. 

Tara and Jaden was at the Harbor together with all the students. They were about to say goodbye to Chumley. Tara looked at Jaden. They had both disgust their uncles wish. However Tara was surprised by Jaden's answer to it. 

”Are you sure it is right for me to chose this!” asked Tara concerned. Jaden nodded.

”Like I told you earlier! Even if I forgive uncle, I will never leave you side! Even if it is for some couple of days!” Jaden said. ”I will respect your decision!”. 

”Even if we never will see each other again!” Tara said and looked at Jaden. 

”Even if we never would see them again, Yes!” Jaden said ”You're my sister! I will never ever leave you!”. Tara smiled, but it didn't help on her nerves. Pegasus was about to go inside the helicopter followed by Chumley, and Maiyo. Joey was looking around in the crowd, and sighed. He was about to enter the helicopter, when Tara rushed close to the helicopter. 

”UNCLE!” screamed Tara and Joey turned around and looked at her ”I can't forgive you right now, but We will visit again! Maybe when we have graduated from the school! I don't know, but we will visit again!”. Tara saw that Joey was smiling! A little happy smile. He waved at her and got inside the helicopter. A little bit later, the helicopter flew away. Tara turned toward her brother and friend. Jaden hugged her. 

”Um I am sorry! Jay!” she said ”But I still needs some time!”. 

”Hey I don't care!” He said and smiled. Zane grabbed her hand too.

”Jaden told me you haven't spoken for 5 years!” Zane said and smiled ”A good relationship aren't built on one day you know!”. The others nodded. 

”And I think you can play the dragon now!” said Jaden and let go her ”Without getting distracted!”. Tara smiled and took a look on Gatling dragon. Maybe things were really going to be better, she thought. They all began walking back to the school.
