The leader of the resistance.

Ace's p.o.v.

Ace sighed deeply inside. Chained up as she was, there were not much she could do. She wished she could. She didn't want to go back to Lyman Banner ever again. Bastion had sacrificed himself, so she could get away, and that was something she treasured with all her might. Right about now, Trapper and his intern was actually taking care of them. Or at least the ones who was valuable cargo. They were surprisingly walking around in here, in the cell, feeding everyone. They had even in a mockingly way, let the cell door open. It was like they dared them to run. Ace knew they had no chance of escaping though. She wasn't even sure that they could try running in the first place. The first thing Trapper had done in here, was taking a controller, and shorten the chains on Aster, Freya and Dimitri, so they was a tied up as the rest of them. Ace figured the reason was, that Trapper and Lucian could walk around in here, without getting disturbed by them. The only one who actually could try escaping, was Jesse. He was the only one not tied up in here, and Ace didn't question that this was Trapper's plan all along. He dared Jesse to escape. All so he could punish him even more. Ace let her eyes wander to Jesse. He was sitting up at the wall near Ember, and didn't intend to do anything. Ace figured Jesse knew, he truly couldn't escape. Trapper had broken his hands after all. That and he was not leaving Ember behind.

"Now open up princess" Trapper said in a mocking tone and was holding a bowl at Tara Yuki.

A spoon with some kind of stew was at her lips. Ace could see Tara shook her head. In some way saying 'I will rather starve'. Trapper was rather displeased by this, but he surprisingly didn't hit her. Not like he did Jesse.

"Now, now Princess, it is not time to be picky" Trapper advised with a smirk "I got instructions to feed you".

Ace's eyes narrowed. What did he mean by that? Then a little light hit Ace. It took her a little time, to realize that it was coming from the security camera at the top left corner of the cell. For some reason the light from it, was suddenly hitting her. Ace's eyes narrowed. It didn't look like Trapper or Lucian had noticed anything though. Ace wondered why it was suddenly staring at her. She knew they were having a control room, where they were watching everything. However Viper was not back yet was he? He was delivering Yugi and the others to Kagemaru right? So who was..? Ace's eyes widened. Could it possible mean that they had figured it out? The resistance members? Banner's password. Ace moved her head a little. It was the only thing she could move. She could slightly see the camera follow her moment. Ace was smiling inside. It looked like they had done it. Now all they needed was an diversion of some kind. Or Ace figured that was the reason the camera was pointing at her now.

"Instructions?" Jesse then suddenly questioned slowly and looked up at the hunter "What do you mean by feeding her?".

Ace tensed by that. Jesse had just asked one of the questions, Tara actually looked like she would like to know. Trapper smirked evilly now. As Jesse had explained to the rest of them, Trapper was having some kind of weak spot for him. He could get answers on things, others couldn't. But that also caused a lot of pain. They had discussed a lot of topics in here. Atticus had stated, he figured Trapper was really gay, and wanted Jesse for himself, but since Jesse was promised to the demon kingdom, he was pretty angry, and hurt him in hope on that the kingdom would sent him back here. At that Jesse had smiled, and said that if that was true, Trapper would have put more effort into it. He just stated he was a sick bastard. Ace didn't really care about the reasons here, she just hoped Jesse didn't get more hurt. He was her friend after all. Just like Ember was.

"Oh I am glad you asked Jesse" Trapper then said and chuckled "You see a certain kingdom want us to make her healthy and ready for travel. They are getting her in an hour or two". At that Ace eyes widened. That didn't give anyone much time here.

"Who.. who are picking her up?" Aster actually asked. He looked rather shocked. Trapper snort and sent Lucian a glare. He was standing right beside Aster right now. A kick was soon planted in his stomach.

"We didn't allow you to talk" Trapper then sneered, but then looked at Tara again "However if you really wanna know, Camula's second in command is picking her up. He want her in shape for travel. So open up princess!".

"Yeah and so are the others" Lucian then said and chuckled "The demon kingdom, Banner's kingdom. Everyone beside the main kingdom actually. Maybe you Atticus Rhodes aren't that important after all". At that Trapper sneered.

"Lucian shut your mouth! Did I say you could tell them anything?!" he then yelled "You good for nothing brat. I wanted to tell them that!".

His eyes fixated on Jesse for a second, and Ace knew he would have been the one telling Jesse. Lucian bowed his head respectfully. He looked rather guilty now. However Ace was not feeling so well. If the kingdoms were all about to get them in two hours more or less, then they didn't have a lot of time to act in.

"Tara eat!" Ace then said and looked firmly at their resistance leader "You need to eat. We all need to eat, if we ever want to escape from here!". Silence uttered in the cell now. Tara and Ace locked eyes for a second. Then Tara sighed a little.

"Fine, feed me!" she then said and opened her mouth and let the spoon with the stew enter her mouth.

Trapper glared at Ace for a second, but he didn't stop feeding Tara. Not until the bowl was empty. Then he placed the empty bowl at a trey on the floor, where other bowls with food was standing. Ace knew it was for the rest of the important cargo. Aster, Freya, and Dimitri was not included though. Trapper grabbed another bowl and marched angrily over to Ace.

"What is this missy? You think you can escape us?" he then said firmly "What can you possibly do against us eh? Explain that to me".

"Of course I know we will escape" Ace then said and smiled "And you can't stop us!". At that Trapper snort in annoying's.

"You and what army?" He then questioned.

"This army!" a male voice then said and a fist connected with the back of Trapper's head.

He fell to the ground rather unconscious. The others were staring. In front of them was a little group of 4 people standing. They had just popped out of the blue. However the most surprising part was that it was Kaiba's fist who had hit Trapper. The old resistance leader shook his hands in annoying's. It had apparently hurt.

"Father? Axel, everyone! What are you doing here?" Tara then uttered surprised.

"Rescuing you of course" Kaiba sneered "Do you know how much trouble you have got yourself into young lady?! If you have stayed put like I told you, we wouldn't..".

"Um sir, I believe we can discuss this later" Axel then said "We need to get out of the Penitentiary first". Kaiba growled a little, but nodded. He turned towards the other two members in here.

"Now listen up. I want you to get them free from the chains Lorenzo, and you Syrus, find their weapons and stuff" he then ordered. The two members saluted. Ace smirked. Kaiba was still the leader in charge of the resistance headquarter.

"But I don't understand sir, how did you manage to come here so fast?" Aster questioned. Axel actually smiled.

"You are still wearing the ring right Tara?" he then said and smirked. He had begun tying up Trapper and Lucian with a rope he found. "We changed the frequency in it, and teleported us here. Ace's diversion was a big help".

"Oh so it is true?" Ace questioned "You got control over the camera's in here?".

"And every other electronic in the house" Kaiba commented and tossed the controller Trapper had on him to Lorenzo "Your coded password changed everything".

"I don't understand. What password?" Aster questioned.

"That password Ace gave Mokuba capisce" Lorenzo then uttered "It made me able to hack Banner's whole hard drive. Badabing! Just like that. Now we can finally fight back".

He clicked on a bottom, and the chains let them go. Ace smiled and rubbed her wrists, and everything else. She felt sore. She couldn't stop smiling though. She had hoped they would. The others however didn't understand a thing. Most of them was staring at her for an explanation. Everyone beside Ember and Jesse, who was more worried about each other that everything else. Ember hugged Jesse with a worried look and breathed air onto Jesse's hand, believing the pain would then disappear. The others grabbed one of the bowls at the tray Trapper had been carrying, and began eating. They needed strength, and Lorenzo checked it for poisoning. Just for safety.

"Well I hoped it worked" Ace then said slowly "Or Bastion hoped it would. I am just the deliverer". At that Kaiba snort.

"So it is true you and that Misawa kid turned against Lyman Banner?" he questioned.

"Yes. Although I was just a prisoner. It was Bastion who merged all Banner's server system together, and locked the whole thing with an extremely hard password. He is after all Banner's third in charge. Or was" Ace then said with a big smile "Without it, their technology system are out of whack".

"Oh wow Ace. You are amazing" Ember then said in astonishment "Was that why you needed to go to the resistance, when we found you?". At that Ace nodded.

"That might well be" Kaiba then sneered out "However, what I don't understand is that you never gave Me this code, when you were at headquarter. Furthermore since Banner has Bastion in custody, it is only a matter of time, before he breaks and tells Banner that extreme difficult password". Ace shrugged a little.

"I don't trust you. I only give it to people I trust" She said plain out "And Bastion doesn't tell Banner anything. He had built a memory eraser, and erased his own memories of the password completely. Bastion is not stupid after all".

"Well that is true father" Tara then said and grinned "You are untrustworthy, and if Bastion is on our side, we might be able to take down Banner's Kingdom. Bastion is smart. Maybe even smarter than even Banner and his second in charge".

"Don't get started on that young lady" Kaiba snort "We are just getting out of here, and not taking part in any battle. At least not yet. We are not ready here". At that Tara snort, but she was agreeing that they needed to get out of here.

"Sy is taking a lot of time, don't you think?" Dimitri then said.

"With all the things he shall carry?" Freya then said and snort "Your weapons aren't exactly light weighted". The others sweat dropped a little.

"We might as well find him" Kaiba then said and looked up at the camera "Rebecka, how are the plans of the building looking? Can you see Syrus Truesdale anywhere?".

"I guided him to the appointed place" They could now hear the voice of Rebecka say in the camera "He is there, but like you said, your weapons are heavy".

"Fine guide us there as well" Kaiba then said firmly "And make sure we don't walk into a trap, got it?!".

They could hear Rebecka sigh, but soon she told them the easiest way to the 'confiscated things' zone, as she called it. Axel and Lorenzo then took the lead, while Kaiba and Tara took were the back troupe. None of them noticed a red marking that lit up from Trapper's controller, when they left however.

Bastion's p.o.v.

Bastion laid down on the bench in his cell and sighed deeply. His eyes were fixated on the little window with bars, who was a little up at the rocky wall in here. It was a little hard to reach, but if he bend his head just a little, he could see the sky outside. The blue starry sky. Bastion sighed again. He couldn't help himself. This might be the last time he would be able to see the starry sky. At least as himself. Banner had threatened him with brainwashing after all. Bastion knew the first couple of times had been empty threats. Banner had been down here a couple of times already. Either alone or together with someone else. However the question was always the same. He wanted Bastion back. To work for him. Bastion had always declined. Yet last time it had been different. Banner had been angry. One of the few things you don't see on Banner, was when he was angry. He was always smiling that fake smile. His eyes had glowed with anger, and his lips was zipped tight together. He also didn't ask Bastion the same sentence, he usually said. The one where he said 'Come back to your senses' or something around those lines. No instead he had said.

"Are you still going to refuse me Bastion?". At that Bastion of course replied with 'Yes I will', which had made the scientist's eyes narrow.

"Very well. You will get no more chances" he had then replied "It makes me sad to see a brilliant brain like yours go to waist, but have it your way. I have decided to go along with the procedure, and brainwash you. It is better than you working for me, than not at all".

Then he had left a rather speechless Bastion all alone in his cell. Bastion knew this was no empty threat any longer. Banner was going through with the brainwashing. It was only a matter of time.

"Miav!" a voice then suddenly meows and Bastion noticed a certain light brown cat with dark brown spots sits at the bars. Bastion couldn't stop smiling at the sight.

"Hello Pharaoh, are you here to visit me?" he asked the cat. Pharaoh meows again and squeezes himself through the bars. He soon were rubbing up at his leg.

"You still wants to visit me, even though I am stuck in here?" Bastion questioned and petted the cat on the head.

He could hear the cat purr at that. "What would your master not think about that?". At that the cat hissed a little. Apparently that was his opinion to that. Bastion smiled a little at that.

"So you dislike what had happened to your Master as well?" he questioned "Well so do I. Banner is really obsessed with power and science now. All because he has tasted the power from the sacred beasts. Now he wants to live forever, forever! He wants to ensure that".

He sighed. It had not been what Bastion had wished in the first place. He had seen Professor Banner as a good teacher at duel academy. Okay, he was not highly regarded as other teachers there, but he still was a good alchemy professor. Sometimes been a better teacher than Dr. Crowler. At least in Bastion's eyes. Then to find out he was the seventh shadow rider had been a surprise. However, he still convinced Bastion to follow him. Just like he did a lot of smart kids at school. Banner was good at manipulate people. Something Bastion only had figured out recently. Behind the façade of his fake smiles and supposedly kind nature, was a sheep in wolfs clothes. Bastion found that even more dangerous than anything. Unlike Banner, almost every ruler showed their true colors instantly. Kagemaru maybe not completely, but you at least knew when he was angry or happy. Banner, you just never knew. Bastion sighed again. He picked up Pharaoh from the floor and placed him on the bench as well. He wondered how long time had.

"Oh I wondered where that cat ran off to" a voice then suddenly.

Bastion flew up from the bench and looked at the male who was presence at the other side of the bars to the cell. Bastion's eyes widened a little.

"Professor Stein? What are you doing here?" he then questioned. The professor smiled a little smile. It made him look rather drowsy though.

"Well that is indeed a good question, but I hope you remember I am in charge of that cat" Stein then said in that drowsy voice "I were also here to collect you too. For the experiment. So please make this easy for yourself Bastion, and come with quietly".

Bastion sighed deeply. He knew that even if he didn't, guards would be on him, before he counted to ten. Not that he could escape Stein anyway. Guards were also placed in the shadows, so if he tried anything, they were over him too. Bastion sighed again and got up from the bench.

"Let's do it" he then said in a rather emotionless voice.

He got his hands and soon they continued down through the dungeon's hallways towards his own doom. Or that was at least how Bastion saw it. A lot of the other prisoner was looking at him from the bars. He was not sure if it was because they were feeling with him, or if they only had pity on him. He had been Banner's third in charge after all. He had done terrible things himself. Or that was what he believed he had done at least. A hand suddenly hit his shoulder. Bastion turned surprised towards the guy who had placed it there. He found Dr. collector arm stretched through the bars in his cell.

"Listen to me boy. Don't fight against the procedure. Accept it instead. If you do, it will be easier for you to come back, do you understand" the doctor then said. Bastion nodded in surprise.

Then the doctor let go of him, before Stein could say or do a thing.

Time skip.

Bastion soon found himself strapped to a table with doctors all around him. It was nothing new. That was how they treated the Guinea pigs, but normally Bastion was on the other site of this situation. He was the doctor. Not the Guinea pig.

"Hello Bastion" Banner appeared at the side of 'operation table' with his sly smile.

"Hello my lord" he replied in a dry voice at first, then added "Is this project really so important that you have to brainwash me?".

He felt a hand hit his chin now. It didn't really hurt that much. Banner literally explained he didn't tolerate his behavior. Normally Banner never used violence. He was good at mentally break people instead, but considered this was his third in charge, he might have changed that a tiny bit.

"I am that important eh" Bastion uttered "You can't do this experiment without my assistants it seems. What a shame that I lose 20% of my brain then".

"Watch it Bastion" Banner sneered angrily "I have had it with your babble".

"Babble? I am stating a fact her my lord" Bastion then said slowly "What you are doing is wrong. You should not do this. You shouldn't even..".

"I follow Kagemaru" Banner said firmly "You can't change that Bastion".

"I can try.." Bastion mused under his breath a little.

Banner ignored his statement. A lot of wires got connected to him. All set on the nerve system Bastion knew. Some electrodes also connected around his head. Bastion was trying hard not to think about that those electrodes connected to his brain. They were soon to be done. Everything was placed in some machine and.. Bastion wished they had blinded him just a little. He didn't need to see what this experience was doing.

"Now Bastion drink this" He could hear Banner say and was holding up a glass with a colorful suspiciously liquid.

If Bastion was correct, this was a serum who would make him fall asleep, but keep his brain active or something like that. One of the few things he hadn't been working on himself. Bastion hesitated. He didn't want to drink this. He didn't want this happening to himself. All because he just wanted those crazy experiments to stop. All so he could keep Ace save. Banner's more cruel experiment revolved around her. The one experiment who was not supposed to be made. He was not gonna let Banner finish it. That was the reason he had betrayed Banner in the first place. Bastion kept his mouth shut. He knew Banner would find a way to easily force the serum down his throat anyway, but he was not gonna make it easy. In the background he could hear Banner sigh annoyed.

"As you wish Bastion. I had hoped you had seen more reason that this, but I guess I was wrong" he then replied.

He was about to do something. Properly close the airway in his nose, so he had to breath, but was interrupted by a loud alarm sounding in the whole lap. Everyone, even them who was working on some other placed of the lab, looked surprised around. Banner sneered annoyed.

"What is this?!" he then yelled and made Eisenstein turn the alarm off.

"I believe the resistance has activated the code to our servers sir" Prof. Stein then said in his calm, boring voice "After so long, it has finally been activated".

"Where to?" Banner sneered "If it is just some few minor places where the resistance steals weapons or other stuff, then let them. I am kinda busy here".

"I believe you gotta see this my lord" Prof. Eisenstein then said "It seems to be more important. They have hacked the penitentiary in Europe. The one with..".

That made pretty much Banner leave Bastion's side for a minute. Bastion noticed how Banner and some of the other scientists were watching a computer screen. He couldn't completely see what was on the screen, from where he was kept, but the concentrated expression on the scientists face, made Bastion aware that something important was happening here. Then Banner hummed a little.

"Oh so they are trying to save the ones in the penitentiary, before we claim them" he then said and smirked evilly "Anyone infiltrating the place yet?".

"Not sure" Stein said "The manage to hack the system and thereby create a..".

"Fine, fine, prepare the virus we created in cases like this" Banner just snort out and walked back to Bastion's side again "Who is on guard duty for us this time?".

"The brothers.." Eisenstein replied and sighed. "Should we sent back up? Just in case. They seem to have lock down on our system". Banner chuckled.

"Scientist is not required by technology alone. It is our own mind who is the genius remember" Banner replied slowly "But sure, ask the police force for backup..".

Bastion looked worriedly up at Banner now. The penitentiary? The police force, what was going on here? A nail scratched the surface of his cheek now.

"Don't ignore me Bastion" He could hear Banner say "I asked you a question".

"Oh sorry my lord" Bastion replied in a dry voice. It just seemed natural.

"Someone seem to be at another place" Banner replied "Maybe thinking about what is going on him? You always have been curious by nature".

"I can't deny that" Bastion said slowly. Banner chuckled and was holding the glass towards him. He quickly forced it down his throat.

"Let me tell you something Bastion, before you fall asleep" Banner then whispered in his ear "The girl you were so keen on rescuing. Guess what we have Ace in the penitentiary now".

Bastion's eyes widened in horror before the serum kicked in and he fell asleep.

Tara's p.o.v.

Tara sighed deeply as they were walking down the hallways of the penitentiary. Everything was dark, and creepy. Just like a prison was supposed to be. They were following the instructions of Rebecka, who's voice was coming from the different camera's in here. Tara couldn't believe they had been able to take over the penitentiary. Just like that! None had succeed in getting out of here. None! Everyone was either killed or sold as slaves afterwards to the high up's in the kingdoms. However Bastion and Ace had apparently been able to? They had hacked Banner's system, and enabled them all to get here. Of course with Axel's input with the ring and all, but still. Tara couldn't believe that they actually had managed. She was eyeing Ace in front of her. She was walking and casually talking with Ember, while she actually healed Jesse's hands slowly. Tara couldn't put her finger on it, but there were something weird about Ace. Not in a bad way of course, but Tara figured that there were more to her. She could heal people. She helped Yugi summon 'Dark magician of chaos' without duel disk in the duel with Trapper. That was not without skill. Tara wondered if she was something entirely different, that what she was supposed to be. She wondered if Ace was a human in general. Sartorius tarot reading from the past haunted her now. The three cards 'The maid', 'The demon' and 'Archer' was running through her thoughts now. The demon card she knew. That card resemble Ember. It just made sense with all the demon crystals and everything. The Archer fitted Freya of course. She was a blacksmith and had shown great skills with bow. Even though they had their differences, Freya surely was the archer. The maid however puzzled her. First she had thought it had been Ace of course, but then they meet Yugi and the others. Maiyo could be her as well. She was a girl after all. However now, with her sent off to Kagemaru's kingdom, with Yugi and the others, Tara was not so sure any longer. That and Sartorius had implied split or two destinies. Tara wondered if that could mean two faces as well. It would make sense if that was the case. She sighed a little.

"What are you sighing about?" she could hear her father say.

Seto Kaiba was walking beside her, while Axel was covering the other side. Tara actually felt like being protected by bodyguards here, but at the same time she was grateful they both were here. They had both decided to rescue her. Axel was really no surprise there. He would go to the end of the world for her, but her father. The proud ex CEO had decided to tag along as well. All that just to save her. He really truly cared about her.

"Well nothing much" Tara then replied slowly "Just thinking about stuff".

"Oh, care to share that stuff?" Kaiba then asked and lifted a curious eyebrow.

"Hmm maybe" Tara said in a teasing voice "If you stop going overprotective and paranoid that everything could happen to me". Kaiba growled a little.

"Since when am I..".

"Seriously? You are denying that?" Tara mused slowly and interrupted him "So not letting me do regular missions or making me leave the headquarters does not count as overprotective?". Kaiba snort at her.

"I wanted to protect you" he then sneered "This is what happens when I give you too long a line to go by". Tara rolled her eyes.

"And maybe if you have let me go sooner, this wouldn't have happened" she countered "Have more faith in me Father. In me and Jaden. We are both your children. Even if Jaden Is a vampire and stays teen forever. He is your son and my brother, and I still love and care for him". Kaiba growled a little.

"Back to that old question again" he then mused and sighed "Fine let me tell you why I am so 'overprotective'. Tara, I don't want to lose you too. First Serenity, your mother left us, then the Vampire mistress to Camula took Jaden from me. She turned him into that creature, making him kill on her command. I just don't want that happen to you as well". Tara sent him a warm smile and took his hand.

"You won't" she said in an reassuring tone "And you haven't lost Jaden either. I meet him. Jaden is in there somewhere. I will get him back father, but in the meantime have faith in me father. Please promise me you will".

Kaiba growled a little, but in the end he nodded. He could try at least. Tara face lit up by that. A smile he hadn't seen in a long time, because of their constant arguing.

"Something is wrong bada bing" Lorenzo then said and looked at the whole group "We should have turned at that corner". Freya snort in annoying's.

"What corner? I can't see any corners" she then questioned.

"That is just it" Lorenzo said in a distressed tone "No corners caprice. Something is wrong. I tell yer Bada bing". Tara's eyes widened in surprise.

"No can't be.. give me that!" Kaiba said and grabbed the sender he had been using.

He began clicking some bottoms and growled in annoying's. He tossed the sensor on the floor and step on it. Tara and the others looked stunned at him.

"We got hacked" Kaiba sneered angrily "Hacked. We got lured in a..".

"In a trap" a weird voice then interrupted and made them all look around.

"Captured for your mishap" another voice added and Tara growled in annoying's. She had only once heard that terrible rimes in her life. Only two people could be behind that, and it made Tara clench her fists.

"You are the paradox brothers" she then sneered "Isn't that right? You faced Jaden and Syrus in a tag duel at Da 7 years ago". Laughter could be heard all around now.

"Oh she is so smart" one of them said.

"She remembers brother" The other one said "She is really classified here".

"Wait those clowns Yugi and Joey faced in the duelist kingdom?" Kaiba growled and looked around "Just what we needed. Just show yourself and I might show you some mercy".

Tara noticed her father actually activate a duel disk. She looked rather surprised. Her father hadn't touched his duel disk or deck since forever. This really showed how serious he was. Chuckling laughter could be heard.

"Like we are fools" one of them said.

"Like we are morons" the other added.

"We know how fierce your dragons are" they then said in unison "Kagemaru didn't give us many duel monster cards to deal with, but we have some cards, like this".

The ground were suddenly shaking, and walls suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Without warning those walls split the group up into one or two man teams. Tara found herself beside her father in what now was a labyrinth of some kind. She looked stunned around. She had no clue on how to go on.

"And now we will beat you" She could hear one of the brothers say echoing in here.

"Or defeat you. So feel the heat" the other replied.

Tara sneered inside. She could live with the labyrinth. She could live with fighting them, but what she couldn't live with was those terrible rimes they were having. In the background she could hear her father hiss in annoyance as well.

"Okay that does it. If I have to hear one more of those stupid rimes, I will rip off your heads. Blue eyes white dragon blast this stupid labyrinth to shreds" Kaiba yelled and placed a card on his duel disk.

A loud draconic scream could be heard in the labyrinth now. Tara looked up in the sky over the labyrinth, close at the ceiling, was her father's signature dragon. The Blue Eyes White dragon.

"Blue eyes destroy this labyrinth" Kaiba yelled and Tara really figured they were saved, but then something happened.

The dragon got hit by a white light blast coming from somewhere, and without any warning the dragon disappeared. Just like that. Kaiba and Tara both looked shocked at the scene in front of them. What was going on here?!

"And he is not the only one" the brothers said "We are sadly not done".

Once again the blast got fired without warning. Kaiba managed to notice just before it hit, and pushed Tara with all his might out of the way. Tara looked really horrified when her father slowly disappeared in the blast as well. She could hear the brothers laugh again.

"There he goes" they say "Only we know what the future holds".

"The one who reach the end is the victor. So shall we begin?" one of them said.

"Freeing your friends we might" the other replied "If you win".

Tara sneered angry. So what was this? Some weird game for them?! However Tara had no choice but to participate. It was the only way she could free her father, and whoever they had zapped.

Tara ran and ran. This labyrinth was big. Really big. Tara really couldn't understand what was going on here. She was in the penitentiary. It wasn't that big here was it? How could a giant labyrinth exist in here? Was it all an illusion? And how did the blast who hit her father made any sense? What had happened there? And had it happened to others? Tara's thoughts also fell on Syrus a little. He had gone to get their weapons and stuff. Had he been victim for the paradox brothers trap too? As it had been a realization or something the whole labyrinth flashed white all of the sudden. Tara had to close her eyes, but when she opened them again, she found herself a completely different place. Compared to the place she had been at, who had been narrowed pathways considered it was a labyrinth, this place was a giant space filled, ground site with some kind of platform in the middle. Up on the middle of it, was Syrus actually lying, and he was unconscious.

"Syrus!" Tara yelled and rushed to her friends aid.

At the same time she noticed giant storage facilities, and inside different cages was their weapons. Tara noticed her sword, but she felt like Syrus's wellbeing was more important. That and she figured she just couldn't open those cages. Not without letting some kind of alarm go off.

"Syrus!" Tara sneered and shook her friend, but there were no reaction. "Come on Sy. What is the matter with you? Wake up! Tell me what happened".

"Oh he can't little Missy" a voice then said and another followed "What you doing is kinda risky".

Out of the shadows two persons appeared. Tara really didn't care much about them though. She knew it was the paradox brothers. They hadn't even changed much doing those last 7 years either. They were still dressed in their Chinese attire, and were still bold. Tara wondered if they had some healthy training program that could keep them fit or something like that.

"I am impressed. She passed the test brother" Para then said and smirked evilly.

"Yes, but not like it matter. We are still invincible" Dox replied in a cold tone.

"What did you do to Syrus?" Tara sneered "What did you do to my father and friends?". The brothers chuckled darkly.

"The little pest?" Para questioned "We made him rest. That is all".

"Exactly bother. He meddled in our plans. Tried to warn you, so we hit him hard" Dox replied and was holding up a needle "That little man". Tara looked horrified.

"You drugged him? With what?" she then asked firmly. The brothers chuckled.

"Nothing deathly I'm sure" Dox said "After all he is pure".

"Sleeping gas for hours to come" Para replied "When he wakes up, the rulers are surely done". Tara sneered angrily and got in fighting stance.

"Well whatever. I won your stupid game. Free my friends and father now! What did you do to them?" she sneered at them. The paradox brothers looked at each other and grinned evilly. Then they turned towards Tara again.

"What are you talking about? What game?" Para then said and grinned.

"Yeah talk about lame. You are not at the labyrinth's end, but center" Dox added and they said in unison "Because there is no exit from here". Tara clenched her fists. Of course they were not fair. Para chuckled.

"Regarding your friends, some are in the labyrinth, some are taken" he then said.

"They must feel like baking" Dox added and grinned "Which is where we sent you Tara Yuki. Until he claims you or maybe maims you?".

They chuckled again. Then they lifted some kind of weird pistol, and with swiftly moves moved out in the shadow. Tara was not quick enough to react, before a white beam hit her in the chest and everything turned white around her.

"Tara, Tara are you okay?".

Tara could feel someone shake her, and slowly opened her eyes. She was face to face with Kaiba and surprisingly Lorenzo.

"Badabing, She is awake and well sir" he then said in a cheering voice. Kaiba however sent him a cold, glare. He didn't look happy.

"Well? We are far from well here your idiot!" he then yelled at Lorenzo. "We are captured. Something we arrived here to prevent!". Lorenzo looked rather guilty now.

"Are you okay Tara? You are not hurt are you?" she could hear a male voice say and found Axel kneeling by her side "Did the brother's hurt you?".

"Oh please. Of course they didn't" Tara could hear a girl voice say. "She is important".

Tara turned her head to find Freya some meters away. It was no surprise. Only one female could be that annoying. Tara took a look around. She was not sure where she was. The sky was blue, and so was the ground. Although it was covered in some weird mist. Tara noticed Ember, Jesse and Atticus a little away from her. They were sitting on the ground, and looked like they had lost all hope. Tara was not sure why though.

"What is going on here? Where are we?" she then questioned. Axel sighed deeply and kneeled down to her level.

"Tara, please do not flip out" he then advised "But we are all trapped in here. inside this weird place".

Tara looked slowly around. Well that much she figured, but where exactly were they? Had the paradox brothers transported them to another place.

"Yeah so? Then blast this place" she then replied in a confused tone.

"Well that is sadly not possible Badabing" Lorenzo said and began on a long analytical speech around how the blast hit them, and how Banner had stolen old Kaiba corps technology. Tara didn't understand a thing.

"Will you shut it? Tara is not into high-tech at all your moron" Kaiba then replied and turned towards Tara "Tara listen carefully. The blast, actually the whole labyrinth part was a trap. They hacked the whole place, making the Penitentiary digital. We all been offer for their stupid tricks. At some point we must have crossed over between the barrier of the different realities. The blast sent us here to another place in this digital realm with no escape. Not unless they decide to let us go. This is a nightmare". Tara looked puzzled at him.

"Father, I don't understand. Where are we?!" she uttered confused. Kaiba sighed deeply and looked up in the blue, blue sky.

"We are in cyber space Tara" he then replied her.

A,N: Well that was that. Man a difficult chapter. Hope my rimes makes sense and are not terrible, or at least on paradox level. And yep, they are in cyberspace. Or captured in this weird place. The next chapter are with the remaining members who are still in the labyrinth in cyberspace. Beside Syrus there is, Aster, Dimitri and Ace left. Not good chances of winning right? That and in the next chapter Tara is gonna stand face to face with a certain vampire. So hope it sounds interesting. 😃
