Being brave can have different meanings. You can act tough and think you are brave, when you in reality are not. It is first when you are facing up against the enemy that your true bravery are Maybe shown.

A guy who is on the run.

Jesse's p.o.v.

White mist was covering the ground and made this dark world extra creepy. If it had been a normal world with sunlight, the sun had been rising and a the light of the sun had been shining in at people's windows right now, showing a start of a new day. However that was sadly not the case. The world was dark. So dark that normal sunlight couldn't penetrate the dark clouds in the sky and hurt the vampires and demons who was living in this world. However after a couple of years the humans had adjusted to the lack of sunlight. When it was day, it was when the sky was a little more brighter than the usual cold and darker night. Therefore a certain boy who was lying in a pile of hay, woke up when this lighter sky was shown. He was inside an old abandoned barn, and was lying in the most giant pile of hay he could make. He yawned and stretched his arms and body a little, before he turned towards the sleeping girl who was lying on his chest and was still soundly sleeping. The boy, named Jesse, smiled and was prodding to her a little with his hand. The girl groaned, but didn't seem to wake up just yet.

"Ember!" He said slowly "Ember, wake up!". The girl groaned, then moved a little around and placed her arms around his waist. She sighed deeply.

"Just 5 more minutes Jesse" she said "I am dreaming about unicorns and sunlight. So much nice and brightly sunlight".

She sighed deeply. Jesse chuckled and gave her a little hug. There were not many plus things in this dark, creepy world, but Ember was one of these things. Who knew that a dark creepy world could make one admit each other's feelings. Jesse had told her his feelings just before the sun and its precious light had vanished from the world. He had thought it was the end of the world and didn't want any regrets. So he told her his feelings and luckily she had accepted them and told him she loved him back. Jesse had been so happy. It had all started with them being at North academy. It was their first year. They had arrived in the middle of the year sadly, but was prepared to take the school and it's studies head on. However then this man had appeared. This man with a long black coat and mask. He said that this was his kingdom now and that everyone who disobeyed, would suffer the consequences. At first no one took him serious. It was brought daylight and he was one man. It was not the first time a weirdo had been trying some crazy after all. However then suddenly the world changed and these horde of monsters, Demon's as he called it, attacked everything and everyone. That made people obey this guy pretty fast. Jesse remembered that he introduced himself as Titan, and before Jesse knew it, him and Ember along with the other students, was brought to the old Greenland. Jesse thought it was that place, however the world had changed so much, that you actually could walk from Greenland to Germany, without crossing any ocean. Or so sounded the rumors. However they were forced to serve in his new build castle as servants. Or that was what Jesse and Ember had been. It had been dreadful, but they survived. That until their school friends disappeared. Rumors had been going on that Titan was experimenting with demon. Only few was successful. Most of their friends died or never returned back to them. Jesse sighed. They couldn't stand that, so in the end had they decided to run away. They had heard some rumors from some farmers who had helped the so called "Resistance", and they told them they were properly stationed in Asia right now. So that's where they were headed. Right now they were at this abandoned farm somewhere in Denmark, or Jesse thought it was Denmark. There were after all no sign who told him so. He sighed deeply and... then he heard it. A sound! His eyes widened. All these years with monsters and demon's had taught him one good thing. It was never a bad thing to be too careful. He pushed Ember once more.

"Ember get up.. it is important!" Jesse whispered. Ember lifted an eye and got quickly up when she noticed his worried face expression.

"Jesse what is.." she began but he slammed a hand over her mouth and made the sign for silence, before he let go of her.

She nodded and he let go of her. They both got quickly up. A sound could be heard again. Jesse looked around for a place to hide and noticed that up on one of the haylofts was a tiny hole, barely noticeable for the human eyes. Jesse had noticed the place last day, and knew it was just big enough for them both to hide there. He pointed at the hole and Ember nodded. They rushed over there as silence they could and hid there. They had just done that, when they could feel a blowing wind in here and the sound of a door got up. Jesse bit his lip and was holding Ember close to him. If it was THEM, and they were found, then his last few minutes would be with her. Ember was holding him close as well.

"I know you are in here somewhere" yelled a voice and Jesse had quickly slammed a hand over Ember's mouth. She had almost been giving out a little surprised noise, and even the tiniest sound could be used to find them. Especially if it was THEM.

"Maybe they have been Sarge sir" said another voice and sighed "Maybe they left already. Hopefully they have". The other sighed and Jesse was cursing himself. It was two male voices and could only be them. The other male sighed.

"Well sadly that is not the case mat.. no he don't want me to say that" the second one said and cursed himself. Jesse was holding his breath. It was THEM.

"Easy there Sarge, you know you can talk normal with me right" the first one said and sighed "We are alone. Just tell me what you have figured out". The other sighed.

"The hay is to warm here. They have been here recently" the second one said.

Jesse cursed himself. He had forgotten to toss water over the place. It was because of water their scent hadn't been found. Water was the natural enemies of demons. Ice didn't affect them because of their high body temperature and they had nothing against ice, even though it was cold and frozen water. However water on the other hand could get inside the bodies of a demon. It could take the warm body temperature away from them. They could drink a little of it, but a large portions could kill them. Like drowning. Maybe that was the reason Titan had the old Scandinavia as his kingdom, because of the frozen water. Who knows? But for safety Jesse had placed mud over their body yesterday. It hid their body temperature pretty well. Jesse sighed inside.

"They are good. This is a good hunt" the first one said and sighed, then yelled "Listen up you two, if you are in here. I will suggest you surrender to us. If you do we will at least give you a pleasant and pain free escort home. Master wants back what you have taken from him. Maybe he even would show mercy. Who knows?".

Jesse sneered inside. He was used to not go into bargains with demons. Even though he knew these two would keep their words and give them that pleasant escort, he knew that their Master would not forgive them. Jesse looked at Ember who was hugging him deeply and didn't say a thing. Jesse knew somewhere inside of her pocket a red jewel was hiding. Ember had stolen it from the castle just before they had ran off. Rumor has it that he used these jewels in these horrible experiments with demons and Ember wanted it to stop. Even through it was not the best idea, Jesse had helped her with it before they ran off. He did it because he loved her. That was the reason why they were followed.

"Jesse I am scared" whispered Ember slowly and hugged him even tighter. Jesse just placed his arms around her and whispered protective words to her. If they wanted Ember they would have to get passed him first. Even if he had to die.

"Go outside boy. We will search the area. If they are really around here we will find them" the first voice said "If not, then we will search harder. We will find them. Especially since master wants them alive".

Jesse bit his lip. He wondered why their master wanted them alive. So he could kill them himself? Jesse shook his head. He just hoped he would never have to find out.

"Yes Sarge sir" said the other one and Jesse felt wind in here. He hoped they left. Ember was still clinging to him and Jesse could hear her heart beat pretty fast.

"Are they gone?" Ember then whispered in an extremely low voice.

"Not sure! Let's just stay here for a while. We need to be fully sure" He told her. Ember nodded and they both hugged each other. Waiting for a change to leave.

Mysterious p.o.v.

The two males from Titan's kingdom were both standing outside the barn and was taking a deep breath of fresh air. Then they looked at each other and sighed.

"Sarge what to do?" the boy asked "You could smell them, couldn't you".

"Yeah I could" said the Sarge and sighed "They are in there. That's for sure".

"So what are we gonna do. Are we gonna go in there and drag them out or gonna burn the hole place?" the boy asked. The Sarge sighed deeply.

"You know what I wish we could do" the Sarge said and looked at the boy.

"That we are letting them escape. That they are leaving the kingdom" he said "But I wished it was different. Why can't we just let them go? They were our friends once".

"And let the Master.. he will not be pleased and I can't take another punishment from him" the Sarge said and clenched his fists "I can't.. bear it. What else can he take from me? My humanity? The rest of my will? The pieces that I have left of her?!".

"Easy there Sarge I understand. Don't worry!" the boy said and placed a hand on his shoulder "I have been through the same thing". The Sarge snort a little.

"That is not true. You are not the master's favorite" the Sarge said and sighed "You do not fully understand. But whatever we can't ignore the order. We have to get them, or at least capture one of them. The other would then follow willingly after that. You will take a search from the sky and I will go in there and find them".

"Yes Sarge sir" he said and saluted, then he said "Changing form, wings of an acrodactyla".

Then seconds later the boy was gone. The Sarge sighed deeply. He was about to go into the barn, when suddenly something was beeping. The Sarge froze. It was coming from his, in some way, cellphone. It could only mean one thing. He gulped and took the call. It was a video call and seconds later, his master, Titan was shown on the screen. The Sarge bowed his head submissive.

"Master how can I be of service to you" He said in a monotone voice.

"How is the search going brat?" His master said in a cold tone "Have you found them yet?". The Sarge froze and was thinking. He sighed inside.

"Yeah we have a trail. They are properly hiding inside an old barn. They have hid their trail good with water, but I still faintly can smell them Master. I was on my way to capture them, when you called" He said and looked down in the ground.

"Good I stopped you just in time. Capture the boy only" Titan said. The Sarge eyes widened a little, but he quickly looked down in the ground.

"If you say so Master. May I ask why only the boy" He asked. Titan sneered a little.

"What have I told you about asking to many questions boy!" He said and snort "But whatever. I am in a forgiven mood today, so I will reply you".

The boy was looking down at the ground again and had a forgive me expression on his face, but truth to be told, the Sarge knew his master well and therefore knew when it was the right time to ask a question or not. If he wasn't in the good mood, he wouldn't have asked in the first place. The Sarge looked up at his master for a second and waited for his answer.

"You shall capture the boy only because I want the little thief girl to suffer. She shall regret that she ever had stolen from me, and I know she cares about the boy" his master said in a cold voice. "Secondly I want to proceed with THAT, before you return with both of them. Understood!".

The Sarge gulped a little. He was not fond at all of doing that, but he quickly nodded. His master snort a little.

"Good brat, good!" He said and smirked evilly "If you succeed in this mission. I even think I will give you a tiny reward. You can even see your dear friend once again if you like, so don't let me down boy".

The Sarge's eyes widened. He had instantly moved a hand up to the black leader collar he was wearing. A green jewel was fused in it, and even through the Sarge couldn't touch the jewel, he was still having the hand as close as he could, before the known barrier and spark of shocks were shown.

"I will not.. let you down master" the boy said in a monotone voice. Titan smirked.

"I hope you can keep these words brat" He said coldly "For your own good".

Then the video phone turned off and the Sarge sighed deeply. He looked up in the sky. He had to get his partner now. Their plans had suddenly changed.

Titan's p.o.v.

Titan snort, when he placed himself down on the throne after his call. That boy, that stupid annoying brat needed to know who was in charge here. He knew full well that it was his minion's former friends. That was the reason he had sent the brat and his team mate after them. It was in some way to see if they would be loyal enough and obey his orders. The two brats didn't know that he could, would and had kept an eye on both of them. He knew what they were doing all the time. As long as they both were carrying the leather collar around their neck, he could follow them all the time. Titan smirked. There were no way they ever could take them off. That both boys knew. He had watched his two minions chase the little thief girl and her boyfriend through the kingdom. He did notice that the two males let them slip away or escape sometimes pretty easy, thinking he would never notice that. The Satanist just smirked. They were bending the rules as much as they could. It was actually to be expected, since they were demon hybrids, and demons could never be fully trusted. Titan in this case didn't care. It was not much to do around here, so he always watched the chases of his demons as a hobby. It was similar to Camula's and Tania's rivalry when they were having hunting games for fun, or Banner's experiments, when he had test runs. Titan was not sure what Kagemaru had as a fun hobby, but he also actually didn't want to know that. Point is they all had a hobbies of some kind. A knock could be heard at the door to the throne room. The room he was in was a dark cold room, with some couple of torches around the walls, as the only light. A window showing outside was in here as well, but right now it was hidden by big black curtains. A couple of statues was in here as well. One looking as himself and others looking like demonic creatures. Titan smirked. He loved it dark in here. Dark and a little cold.

"Come in!" Titan said and two fiend monsters walked in. They were both once duel monster cards called Ceruli and Gwen of the dark world. They were both bowed to their ruler. Titan snort and made them rise again.

"My lord, we have news on the storage room and what the thief girl stole" Gren said and bowed once again "She has taken the ruby of the jewels, we had stored".

"Hmm the red one eh" Titan said and sneered a little "Wait.. only the red one?".

"Yes, I feel that is a mystery as well, my lord" Gren continued "Since the blue one. The sapphire was in the same vault as the ruby, but only the ruby was taken".

"Secondly my lord" said Ceruli "No one wants to go near that jewel. I am, myself, a little afraid of that jewel, but I just guessed that since these two servants thinks they can stop you my lord, they would have taken that one as well. Just to stop them my lord?!".

Titan hummed a little and leaned back in the throne. It was true these two jewels, the red and blue jewels was having great powers, but he was not afraid of them. Titan had been holding them both in his hands, but had been unable to use their powers for some reason. Therefore he had kept them down in the vault, for safety matters. He sneered. The sooner he got hands on the two servants the better.

"You seem to have trouble my dear demon lord Titan" said a voice suddenly. Titan and his two servants looked confused around.

"Who is here?" yelled Titan up "Show yourself".

A voice laughed and out of the shadows jumped a figure. It landed almost in front of Titan at the ground, and as it did, the darkness around it, turned into some weird mist floating at the ground. A boy, dressed in black (similar to Atticus's Nightshroud clothes) was standing there now. He was still grinning. He was having short hair down to the shoulders and it was the color green. In some way resembling seaweed. He was having a black mask on who hid his face, who in some way resembled Atticus's Nightshroud mask.

"Oh so you are in here Yusuke. Yusuke Fujiwara" Titan sneered "What brings you here to my kingdom?". Yusuke grinned a little again.

"You know full well why I am here" He said and turned his head at the two dark world servants "It is my yearly checkup from our lord Kagemaru. Our great ruler who pulled me out of the world of darkness. In return I serve him of course. I would prefer if I could talk to you in private, unless you want your minions to listen of course".

Titan sneered. So it was that time of year for Kagemaru little trusted spy, to spy on everyone in the kingdom again. The guy who gave their lord secret reports on how the other kingdoms was proceeding, without them noticing. Yusuke was known for working in the shadows, and people never noticed him, unless Yusuke wanted himself to get noticed of course. Like right now. Titan sneered.

"Out! Both of you! Give me the reports of everything proceeding an hour later" He said and the two fiends quickly bowed and rushed out of the room.

"Pitiful minions you have, but it is not my job to question who your workers are" He said and shrugged "I am only observer! Nothing more!". Titan snort.

"What did come here for Yusuke?" Titan said and sneered "You never let yourself be shown, unless it benefits you or our lord. How long have you actually been here? Has Kagemaru sent you?". Yusuke grinned a little.

"Oh you see through me every time and I have been here since.. the demon hunt for your servants began. You can't get better places to watch after all" He said and shrugged "Kagemaru asked me to get the info.. you forgot to give him after the meeting. Although your favorite is good at tracing though".

Titan snort. Yusuke could be a devilish little code talker. Talking to him, you should always read between the lines. Like he was doing right now.

"I already gave him these papers" Titan said and sneered "You are here to spy and you think my favorite brat needs better education, how dare you?!". Yusuke grinned.

"Darn you figured that one out" he said and shrugged "Oh well! Yeah I think all of your minions needs better education. After all your own servants stole from you".

"I already have a good grip in both of them" Titan sneered back "I don't need you to tell me that spy brat. Take care of your own job". Yusuke shrugged.

"I am just giving you a warning" He said and shrugged "After all fear can't keep your subject loyal forever. Camula, Tania and even Banner knows that. Our lord knows that as well in some way. One day your subject will turn on you. Especially your little favorite. After all the ties you have on him.. one day they will break". Yusuke turned his back at the lord and began walking away. Titan sneered angry.

"Wait.. you are not any better Yusuke" He yelled "Lord Kagemaru has you tied as well. So don't begin talking all that nonsense". Yusuke snort and looked at him.

"No he has not. I serve him willingly" He said in a cold tone "We have a deal. I serve him and the one thing I want, will be mine". The demon lord looked confused at him.

"And what is that?" he questioned. Yusuke snort coldly at him.

"Not any of your business demon lord. See you!" He said and disappeared just like that.

Titan sneered. What did that brat mean by that? He shrugged. He was not gonna change things that had worked in years now. No one could beat him anyway. He kicked Yusuke's words in the background and placed himself at the throne again.

Ember's p.o.v.

Ember sighed deeply when they walked through the muddy ground of a muddy and grassy meadow. It had rained last night and it made the grassy ground muddy and sometimes even slippery. Ember hasn't counted how many times she had tripped. She was having mud all over her clothes. However it was not the only thing she was complaining over. She was cold and felt wet to the bone. However that was no surprise, since they were both dressed in rags. They had stolen some warm, but filled with holes, coats, but it was not helping much. The rags they were having on beneath was having holes as well. After all servants didn't get that much clothes after all.

"Ember are you okay?" Jesse asked worried and was looking at her. The wind was blowing pretty strong out here. Ember nodded and could feel his hand holding hers.

"Just a little further" He encouraged "The border to Europe, is just up ahead. Behind these hills and pasts the river and then we are there. Titan can't chase us in another continent. Not without approval from the other rulers". Ember nodded and squeezed his hand a little. She was grateful Jesse chose to come with her.

"I am happy you wanted to listen to my selfish request Jesse" she said and looked up at him "I just couldn't take it anymore. They all just began disappearing.. or became..". She sniffed a little and Jesse hugged her a little. They both shielded themselves from the wind with the arms again.

"You are welcome. I understand especially when that bastard to Titan took our friend from us" Jesse said and sneered "I wanted to do something myself. Maybe when we are safe, we can investigate the jewel you took?". Ember nodded slightly.

"However one thing I don't understand Ember, is that why didn't you take the blue jewel in the vault as well?" Jesse then questioned. Ember looked puzzled at him.

"Blue jewel? What do you mean? There were only one in the vault" she questioned.

"Wait what? But I.. I was sure there were a second one there" Jesse said puzzled "We need to talk about that when we are in Europe.. but first let's get over to the hills. Then we are at least safe from the wind". Ember nodded and they continued walking.

It had been a hard walk indeed. Even through the hills in the horizon looked like they were close by, Ember and Jesse both found out that was not the case. However at least in the end, after a lot of hard work as well as Ember tripped to more time, they both arrived at the hilled pathway. They both stopped up and was gasping for air.

"Okay.. that was harder than it looked" Jesse commented "Just 5 minutes break and then we have to continue though". Ember nodded in agreement. Her legs were tired a though. She looked up at Jesse and smiled. As long as he was with her, she could do anything. Jesse looked at her as well. He was smiling too.

"I love you" Ember then said and hugged him a little. Jesse's eyes lit up quickly.

"I love you too" He said and hugged her as well "Let's continue. We can have a big break at the other end of the border". Ember nodded. They were about to continue, when a voice could be heard and Ember's blood froze.

"Well you took some time arriving here. I thought you had lost your way. We have been waiting a long time for you two. Ember! Jesse!".

Ember slowly turned around. A boy with black and a little red pants, white shirt, black jacket and belt was looking at them. He was having black hair and was wearing a cowboy hat on his head, was standing behind her. Around his neck was the black leader collar, with a green jewel in the middle of it. He was smiling a little at them.

"Jim" whispered Ember and they both backed a little away from him.

"What's up mat.. ah Master hates when I says these phases" He said and sighed. He took some steps forward "But that habit is so hard getting rid of". Jesse bit his lip.

"Please Jim.. we were friends once, can't you just let us go" he begged. Jim snort.

"You know I can't Jesse" He said and shrugged "Master's orders. However I am pleased that you listened and remember what I had told you, before I became Master's.. pet".

Ember could feel Jesse's hand squeeze hers and knew instantly what Jesse wanted her to do. She slowly began backing away, never taking her eyes of him. After all he was the enemy right now. Jesse nod a little.

"You wanted to become archaeologist and thought me basic survival and tracking skills" Jesse said slowly "Which I am truly grateful for, but because of the same reasons, we will run NOW!".

They both used their last strength and ran away as fast as they could. They sadly didn't manage to come very far. Only a little closer to the river before they were stopped by another figure. He had plummeted down from the sky and cut off their escape route. A boy dressed in brown/green pants, black boots, green tank top and a black sleeveless jacket was staring at them. He was wearing a leather collar with a yellow jewel in it, had a dino necklace shown on his chest and on his head was a bandana shown. It was hiding a lot of his black dreadlocks.

"Hassleberry" whispered Ember and in horror. They were caught.

"The Sarge didn't say you could run now did he" Hassleberry said and snort "Changing human form". His arms turned back to normal.

"But it was not bad idea" said Jim and walked towards them "But you are coming back with us. Don't make this harder as it is". Jesse sneered.

"You know that is never gonna happen" He yelled "I will.. fight you..! even if it means my.. death. I will bring Ember away from this kingdom". Then without warning he let go of Ember's hand and tackled Hassleberry. He fell surprised to the ground. Ember looked in horror at him.

"Ember run! Leave NOW!" he said and slammed a fist in the face of their former friends "Do it now before he gains the upper hand". Ember looked shocked at him.

"But Jesse.. I can't leave without.." She got up. Jesse looked up for a sec and smiled.

"You must.. I don't care what happened to me" he yelled at her "Knowing that you are safe and sound, is good enough reason to get caught". Jim snort a little.

"Hassleberry what is the sentence for hurting us?" He then said in a casual tone.

"Giving the pain back the double amount, he gave us if I remember correctly" Hassleberry replied and caught both Jesse's hands "Want me to punish him Sarge?".

"Yeah" Jim replied and sighed "Do it quick. I really don't have all day".

"Aye, aye sir, gonna do it quick" He said and smirked "Changing demon form".

Before Ember could do or say anything, a long tail had grabbed around Jesse's waist and tossed him to the ground. A giant tyrano, dino monster was standing in front of them. It was having wings on its back and a long tail. It was funny enough having it's normal clothes on. Apparently they adjusted to his changing size. He was having two giant horns on his forehead as well, and was funny enough having his bandana around a part of his horns. It was walking quickly over to Jesse.

"Let's see, you hit and tackled me. That was 3 hits, so I hit you 6 times" He calculated "So 6 stamps should be enough".

Ember looked in horror and shock when this giant Hassleberry dino, began stamping around on Jesse's back. She rushed over to the giant dino and tried to push his leg away from her boyfriend.

"Let my Jesse go, you monster" she said and was clinging to his leg.

"Ember.. no.. go" coughed Jesse weakly "They are not guarding the border any longer.. so go and leave me here". Ember shook her head wildly.

"I am not leaving without you Jesse, I love you" Ember said and got pushed of Hassleberry's foot. She hit the ground seconds later. She could hear Jim snort.

"Well that is sweet and all that" he said "But we have no business with you Ember. We are ordered to take only Jesse back with us. So if he is a good little prisoner, we will not lay a hand on you. So you can cross the border if you like". Jesse coughed a little and lifted his head a little. Hassleberry was finished punishing him as well.

"You mean it?" her boyfriend asked "You are letting Ember escape?". Jim nodded.

"Yes, as long as you stop attacking us of course and is behaving like a good little prisoner" he said "I promise! A vow on Shirley! I hate fighting with you in the first place".

Ember looked shocked at them. She was free?! She could go, but Jesse not? She knew Jim was not lying. He would never promise or make an vow on Shirley if he was lying. She was irreplaceable to him.

"Fine, just take me back" Jesse then said "As long as Ember is free, I don't care".

"You heard him Hassleberry, change back" Jim said and sighed "We are going back". Hassleberry saluted and he was seconds later back in human form. Ember was still to shocked to figure out what was going on. She was just staring at them.

"Now stand still" Jim ordered "I don't want to squeeze you to tight. Change form, fossil tail and wings". He wrapped his tail around Jesse and was about to leave the place, when Ember finally reacted. She rushed in front of them.

"What are you gonna do with Jesse?" She asked "Why are you letting me go?".

"Well not fully sure. I think we are gonna have an experiment on him, but who knows?" Jim replied "And Ember have you really not figured it out. We are not fully letting you go. Sure you can leave the kingdom, but you will be all alone. After all we are taking Jesse from you. That is master's punishment for stealing from him. So go on leave and have a good life without your beloved Jesse". Ember froze.

"You are exiling me?" She questioned. Jim shrugged a little.

"Maybe.. I am keeping my vow and are not talking you with us" He said "What you are doing after that, is not my problem. It is gonna be fun having a new brother soon though. Master said he had found a new formal to transform humans into demon hybrids a lot easier and quicker. Maybe he will use it on Jesse? Then maybe soon he is just like us. How does that sound Hassleberry?". The dino demon smirked.

"Well that sounds fun. Then I can educate him. Always wanted a new soldier" He replied. Ember looked in horror at them. No Jesse was not gonna be like them. No never! She looked angry at them. They were not taking Jesse!

"Let Jesse go!" she yelled angry and slammed her hands at Jim's chest "You can't take him! He is not gonna be like you two. Not another tool to Titan".

"I am sorry Ember, but he is! Master's order. What will you do about it?" Jim said and sighed. He pushed her hands away "You are not strong enough to fight us".

Ember sneered. She was so damn angry. Jesse was not gonna be another tool to Titan. It had been terrible enough losing her friends. Jim and Hassleberry had been that before Titan had decided to place his creepy hands on them and changed them. She was not gonna lose her beloved Jesse to that Satanist as well.

"Ember, just leave" Jesse said slowly "I don't care what happens to me. Knowing you are safe and sound is reward enough". Ember sneered.

"No! You might not care what they are doing to you, but I do. I want to know you are safe and sound as well. I want my Jesse beside me, when I leave the kingdom. You always protect me, well this time I will protect you!" She yelled "Please! We can do anything as long as we are together". Jesse looked shocked at her. Then he began struggling in Jim's grip. He was trying to get free.

"You are right. I gave up" Jesse said and sneered "I am a fool. I wanted to keep you safe, but I forgot that there is no safe place in this world. I can only do that, by staying by your side". Jim snort and squeezed Jesse a little more with his tail.

"Well I think we have been here long enough" He said and snort "Hassleberry we are leaving".

His partner saluted and changed his arms into wings. They both flapped their wings and was in the air seconds later. Ember sneered. Anger clouded most of her mind and only one thought was present. They were not leaving with Jesse! She let out a scream and jumped up in the air. The only thing she was trying to do, was trying to reach Jim's leg or ankle and get him down to the ground again. She never thought she would end up in the middle of the air, face to face with Jim. He was as surprised as she was right now. They were staring at each other.

"How did you..?" He managed to say, before Ember hit him hard in the chest with both hands.

She had only one thought in her head, and that was freeing Jesse. Then once again a strange miracle happened. When she hit Jim, a warm sensation was present, and before anyone knew it, fire got shut out of her hands and hit Jim pretty hard in the chest and sent him flying. He and Jesse slammed seconds later into the river pretty hard. Ember looked shocked at her own hands.

"Jim!" yelled Hassleberry and looked from her to the river "Ahr.. what to do? Capture her or save Jim? Ahr Master would kill me if Jim dies, but also if I abandon the mission, and secondly I can't swim".

Ember was not sure what to do either. She hit the ground pretty hard and got some bruises, but nothing was at least broken. She tumbled over to the river, looking desperately for Jesse. One or two minutes later, Jesse got up from the river gasping for air. In his arms he was having a shaking and freezing Jim. He tossed the demon boy up at the shore and climbed out of the river himself. Ember quickly rushed over to him and gave him a big hug.

"Jesse I was so worried" she said and could feel his wet body hug her back.

"Jim!" yelled Hassleberry and rushed over to his Sarge. Jim was clinging quickly to him. His teeth and body was shaken a lot.

"Warm!" He said in a shaken voice "Fire.. something warm.. freezing here!". He coughed a little water up as well. Hassleberry nodded and hugged him. He was trying to share his warm body temperature with him. Then he glared angry at them.

"You saved the Sarge? Why?" He questioned and clenched his fists. Jesse shrugged.

"I was not gonna be as merciless as your master" He said "Especially not since you were our friends once. You are still our friends.. at least in my heart".

Ember nodded. She wouldn't have let Jim drown if she were the one in the water as well. She was staring at her hands. All her anger had disappeared. She wondered how she was able to shoot fire. Jesse looked puzzled at her as well. Hassleberry snort angry.

"Well it doesn't change a thing. You two are coming with me. You hurt my Sarge" He said and sneered. Jesse and Ember was about to fight him, when Jim interrupted.

"No! Hassleberry, let them.. go" He said weakly and coughed "He saved my life... I do have some.. honor left. My debt is payed back then". Hassleberry looked at him.

"But Jim, Master will not like this at all" He said "He will not have..".

"I don't care" Jim said and smiled a little "Still our friend as well.. get over here.. and make some fire.. I am freezing mate". Ember looked surprised at him.

"Jim I.. we will never forget this" Ember began and Jesse nodded as well. Jim snort.

"Just go!" He sneered "And never come back! If you do we are enemies once again".

He coughed a little again. Jesse nodded and grabbed Ember's hand. Then they rushed towards the border. They both decided to not look back ever! They didn't notice that the red jewel in Ember's pocket was shining bright red though.

A,N: Sniff so sad ending in the chapter, but hope you like it at least. Titan is not gonna be pleased about this at all, but think Jim and Jesse did the right thing. Please comment on what you think. The next chapter is with Blair and Marcel. It is back to Camula's kingdom in some way, and more of Camula's vampires are shown. The Amazons has a role in this one as well. Hope it sounds interesting.
