There were a time when I believed in hope and friendship. Yes even in family ties and love. However I know now that it is pointless. Hope and Friendship are for losers. Family ties are just an illusion and love is replaced with fear in my heart.

Master's loyal soldier.

Chazz's p.o.v.

Chazz eyed himself in the hand held mirror and actually wished the mirror was bigger. However if he was holding it in just the right direction, he could see a little more of his body and face. A adult version of himself was looking back at the mirror. He still had his black, untamable, spiky hair and black eyes, but then everything else on him had changed. He was clearly not the 15 year old brat he used to be. His body had worked out and he had got a lot more muscles. On his chin he had a little goatee. He was dressed similar to his old black outfit from his school days, but it was of course newer and more fitting. Black pants, the long black jacket and the purple shirt. Even through his normal brown shoes had been replaced with black boots instead. Chazz didn't complain. If his master wanted him to dress like that, then he was not going to argue with him. An argue could be considered as disobedience, and Chazz was not disobeying. No, never! Chazz shook his head. He had learned that a long time ago. He was only grateful that his master had let him keep his wardrobe. This outfit he loved so much, because he knew his master could take it away from him if he wanted to. Just like he had done with so much in his life. His will, defiance, his friends and his deck. Chazz was not sure if he even could pick up the pieces of dignity any longer. If he had any. Chazz looked into the mirror. His black eyes, who once had been filled with pride, was now looking dull and defeated back at him, and made him remember his training and what he had been thought in all these years.

"I am Master's soldier and nothing more" he mumbled "His orders and words are the law and I obey without question and hesitation".

Chazz sighed deeply and placed his head at the couch. He was sitting at the common room for people at the castle. It was the place warrior friends could converse with each other or just relax. However Chazz had no friends. He was too high in rank for that and almost every warrior was afraid of him. He was working almost only for his master and the police force. In the police force he was a high ranked detective and officer. Don Zaloog, the leader of the dark scorpions, was highly pleased with him, but Chazz didn't consider any of them as his friends. Secondly Chazz didn't need it. He sighed again and closed his eyes.

"Oh I wished things were different" He mumbled out "I wish everything was back to the way they were before. Before the world changed".

He sighed again and recalled everything. It had begun with the keys. These blasted keys to the sacred beasts. It started out okay. Jaden beat Nightshroud and Alexis got his brother back. However after that everything changed. Camula the Vampire mistress appeared. She won quickly over Crowler, and with a cheap trick over Zane. When she won, he became a vampire. Then with pure skills (because Jaden's medal), she amazingly won over Jaden as well. Atticus got his medal though, before Camula's fang placed itself in his neck and later transformed him as well. They could properly have saved them, if it wasn't for the fact that Camula was bored, and began being picky. She didn't want to duel any longer. Chazz figured it had something to do with that Jaden still remembered his sister, and was confused that he wasn't fully hers. However the rest of the shadow rider showed and beat them. Tara did beat Abidos though, and he Don Zaloog. However Banner beat them all in the end. The island was chaos at the school when Kagemaru showed and freed the beasts. If it wasn't for Pegasus and Kaiba, a lot more people were captured by the ruler and his followers. Chazz actually also escaped. He was going to join the resistance as well, but then something unexpected happened. He had returned shortly to his home at the Princeton's family. Just wanted to get some things he could use at the resistance, before they wouldn't be available. (Kagemaru's spell hadn't happened yet). However when he entered the house at the doorstep, he had been grabbed by a herd of guards. They restrained him as well. He remembered that he had yelled something like "What is going on? And let me go your losers". Then his two brothers had shown. Slade and Jagger. Apparently Kagemaru had made an appearing's on the television and made an announcement. That he was gonna change the world, and that only people who was serving him with true loyalty, would keep their wealth and status in his world. They had 3 days to show him that loyalty. So before Chazz knew it, he was tossed at the feet's of Kagemaru, together with a lot of other kids. Apparently by selling out their own family members, was a sign of that true loyalty. Chazz had hated, and still hated, his brothers for selling him to the master, just for wealth and status. Secondly some of the kids families was not worth for Kagemaru to keep, so a lot of families was either killed or turned to slavery in these three days. However Kagemaru, his master, liked him and his stubbornness, so his family was spared. As well was another kid and his family.

"Princeton! Princeton! Wake up!" said a voice near him and he could feel him getting shaken. Chazz slowly opened his eyes and was looking into a pair of grey dull eyes.

"God damn it Princeton. You are damn slow" a boy's voice said and sighed.

Chazz sneered and looked at the boy in front of him. In some way his comrade, but Chazz couldn't stand him. That former rich kid Adrian Gecko, who was sold to Kagemaru as well, 7 years ago. He was dressed in black ninja clothes like always and was having green cape hanging from his shoulders. He was still wearing glasses. He was as muscular as Chazz, and the only change he had made through the years, was that his purple hair was longer and more spiky. Chazz always saw his hair as a spiky hedgehog, which annoyed Adrian like hell. They really couldn't stand each other. As a fact, Chazz knew Adrian was hiding two scabbards with swords under the cape. They were on his back, like Chazz had two swords in his belt as well. He got quickly up.

"What the hell Gecko, can't I have a nice nap once in a while" He yelled and sneered at the boy/adult warrior in front of him. Adrian just sighed.

"No you can't. Not when the Master has called for us" He said in a calm tone. Chazz instantly froze. After what mood he was in, the master could be either scary or bearable to stand in front of. He hoped the last one. He looked at Adrian.

"So do you know what he want? The master.. is he..?" Chazz couldn't get the last word out. Adrian looked serious for a moment, then shrugged.

"Well I just have to make an report. You on the other hand.. I think he has a mission for you Princeton" He said in casual tone "Click, just told me the Master wanted to see us, so I am not sure if he is angry, but if he is, it is properly your fault".

"Say that again your annoying Gecko" Chazz sneered angry "If you dare".

"Sure if you want me to. It is properly your fault. I heard you messed up your last assignment" Adrian said and smirked. Chazz sneered and grabbed him in the collar of the clothes. He clenched his fist as well.

"Why you?!" Chazz yelled and was about to hit him with a fist, when Adrian grabbed it with his own hand. He was grinning.

"If you wanted to spar you could just have asked" He said and grinned his annoying laughter "However did I mention that Master meant RIGHT now. I would recommend we don't make him wait". Chazz sneered and let go of him.

"We settle this after this mission" He said and then slowly added "If I succeed".

"I will wait for that then" Adrian then suddenly said and surprised Chazz "Good luck!". Then he left the common room. Chazz looked after him. Then he snort and seconds later followed him towards the throne room.

The two males arrived minutes later at the throne room, which was this awesome, giant place who was decorated for a king in red and golden colors. At the floor was a red carpet and at the end was the throne where their master Kagemaru normally was sitting. Chazz had seen him being sometimes at the balcony when he entered, but today Kagemaru was sitting at the throne. The two boys walked quickly down the carpet and kneeled in front of their master.

"Master, you called" said Adrian.

Chazz always let Adrian start the conversation. He had some natural talent of sweet talk, which made him a good undercover spy. He always could get information, without using too much force, unlike Chazz. He was more forceful in his approach. Therefore Chazz's missions were more brutal and.. he shook his head. He rather not think about it.

"Ah yes. I need an update from you Adrian" his master said in cold tone.

Chazz sighed relieved. He was not angry today. If he was Chazz would have shivered more than he already did. He was still kneeling and looking down at the floor. His master hadn't said his name yet. He could hear Adrian giving him the latest report. Apparently he had been gathering information on the resistance. It sounded like he had been successful, which didn't make Chazz happy at all. Why was that stupid Gecko so damn successful in his missions, when I aren't. That wasn't fair at all.

"Lastly it looks like the resistance, currently is in Camula's kingdom. Rumors has it Aster phoenix was seen in one of the villages. So they are properly hiding in that kingdom" Adrian ended his report.

Chazz slowly had a stolen look at his master for just a second. He looked satisfied. Chazz sneered inside. Another flawless report from that annoying Gecko. He lowered his head once again and sighed again.

"Good Adrian. You can leave now. Take a couple of hours rest. You got my permission to see her as well" Chazz could now hear Kagemaru say and Chazz's eyes widened.

He must be in a really good mood since he was rewarding Adrian. He almost never rewarded them. Last time Chazz could remember he did that was 5 years ago. That was when he was allowed to dress in his favorite wardrobe.

"You are to kind Master" Chazz could hear Adrian say and he bowed.

Chazz noticed the happiness in his eyes. Then he got up and for a second his eyes meet Chazz's. Then he left quickly out of the room. Chazz bit his lip. He was a little scared of being alone with the master. Especially when he had failed.

"Chazz. Get up and look at me" He could hear his master say.

He quickly got up, but was a little hesitating by meeting his gaze. He of course did it in the end and was meet with ice cold eyes. It was as if you were staring at a wild animal who was about to attack, and kill and eat him. Chazz shivered a lot, but luckily he was in a good mood or his eyes would have been more intimidating. Then the sacred beast would.. Chazz shook his head a little and reminded himself that he was in a good mood.

"Tell me Chazz.. why did you fail me once again?" He asked in a cold tone. "The only thing you should have done, was capturing that boy, who properly was a spy for the resistance. Yet you still failed me, why?". Chazz froze inside. Shit, he is not happy. He is not pleased with me! Chazz shook the thoughts out of his head.

"Master I am sorry.. I had the boy on the run, but he knew shut cuts around the city" He said in a low city "Secondly he was warned.. by my arrival and escaped before I had a chance to capture him. I am truly sorry Master". Kagemaru snort coldly.

"Hmm you say that, but is that really true?" He said and hummed "You are not working behind my back aren't you Chazz? Are you helping the resistance and that was the reason why you couldn't get the boy?". Chazz froze.

"No please believe me Master, I would never do that. I would never disobey" He said in a scared tone "I am only your soldier and nothing more". Kagemaru snort.

"That is true. I owe you after all" He said in a cold tone "So Chazz if I asked you to destroy the resistance, and your former friends, would you do it?". Chazz nodded.

"Yes, if that's what you wish Master. I would do it without hesitation" Chazz said in a monotone voice "Just say it and I will do it". He could hear his master grin and Chazz slowly relaxed in his tense muscles. If he was happy, the punishment was not too bad.

"Oh you amuse me Chazz" He said and smirked "You have come a long way since the first time we meet. You are no longer that stubborn weak little brat you were years ago. You are my soldier".

Chazz nodded. That was the old Chazz, and not the new one. He did however sometimes wish that old Chazz was still with him. That there was a little defiance left in him, but the new Chazz knew his master would break it out of him quickly, so why even try?! He looked up at Kagemaru with his dull eyes and waited for his orders.

"I give you one more chance to redeem yourself Chazz" Kagemaru told him "If you succeed I will not punish you and maybe even give you a reward". Chazz looked surprised at him. He was given a second chance? With even rewards?

"However.." said Kagemaru in a cold tone "If you fail me again, your punishment would get doubled up. One of my beasts needs someone to play with".

Chazz froze. Not that! Everything but that. Chazz heart was beating pretty fast now. He could live with getting beat up or even scourged. His back was already filled with marks and scars as it is, but standing in front of the beast was the most dreadful experience. It only happened once, but it was that who broke his spirit and made him who he was today. Master's soldier. He could still remember his own screams from that time. He had been tossed into a giant locked area, together with Uria. Chazz had never run that much in his whole life or begged. Master please let me in. I will behave. I will do as you say. Just don't let him eat me! Chazz shivered a little. That day there had been so much fire and.. Chazz shivered again and shook his head. It was to dreadful to think about. He bowed his head submissive and looked at the floor.

"I will not fail master" He said slowly "I will do everything I can to succeed".

"Hmm I will take your word for it Chazz" Kagemaru said "This mission has extremely high priority. I will be seriously angry if you fail". Chazz gulped a little.

"I will take the reasonability if I do then Master" he said slowly. His heart was beating pretty fast. He could hear Kagemaru growl a little.

"Good to know that. Then come with me and I will give you your mission" He said and got up from the throne.

Chazz got up and followed his master. He was a little worried. It was first time ever his master hasn't given his mission right away. They walked a little away from the throne and over to a corner where 4 mirrors was hanging at the wall. Chazz knew what they were. They were enchanted mirrors and were used to communicate with the other 4 kingdoms. However Chazz had never been standing so close at them. Kagemaru walked over and touched one of the mirrors. It slowly glowed and seconds later Banner's head was shown in it. He was smiling a creepy smile like always. A fake one. Chazz looked confused at him. It had been years since he had seen Banner and Chazz sneered inside. He was not fond at him at all. It was after all him and Kagemaru who changed this world.

"Ah Lord Kagemaru sir" Banner said and sent him a fake smile "You have found someone suitable to take care of our little problem?".

Kagemaru nodded, winked Chazz over here and pushed him in front of him. Chazz looked emotionless at Banner, but inside he was really nervous. After all there were a lot of rumors about Banner and his cruel experiments. Chazz just hoped he was not the man's next guinea pig. Banner eyes narrowed.

"Hello Chazz" He said in a cold tone "Long time no see". Chazz bowed a little.

"Yes sir" He replied just as coldly. Banner looked at him one more time and looked over at Kagemaru with a suspicious look.

"You are gonna sent me Chazz?" He questioned "Are you sure about this my lord? You know the importance in this right?". His Master snort coldly and placed a hand on Chazz's shoulder. He glared back at Banner.

"Trust me Banner, Chazz is more than cable of doing this" He replied and actually smiled a little "He has advanced a lot doing the years and I have overlooked his training. I can guarantee it". Chazz actually felt a little proud. Master is actually praising me! He has never done that before! That was until his master said:

"And he knows the consequences for failing me too, so just give him the mission".

"As you wish my lord" Banner said and looked at Chazz "Chazz, I want you to come to Europe and catch a girl named Ace. She has recently escaped my lap and it is crucial that you retrieve her alive at all cost. She has obtained some important files and information, who must not fall in the wrong hands. Secondly if you happens to run into two people called Ember and Jesse, you will catch them or give the coordinates to the police force, so they are able too. After all Ace is more important. Jesse and Ember is runaways from Titans kingdom who had crossed the border a week ca. ago. You will get more info along the way. Anyone who is in your way, like the resistance, you have permission to kill them". Kagemaru coughed.

"Some resistance members are considered to be captured alive" He said slowly "Don't forget that Banner. Some people has importance to us in the future".

"Ah yes, I forgot my lord" Banner said quickly "Camula and you my lord, has someone they want to retrieve at all cost. Chazz you are part of the police force so you know the drill right?". Chazz nodded. Banner sighed relieved.

"Good I expect to see you soon Chazz" he said and bowed his head to Kagemaru.

Then he left the mirror. Chazz bit his lip. He had a tracking mission. Not a bad mission in his eyes. At least he shouldn't kill for his master. He sighed inside. He just hoped that no one came in between. He bowed to his master and was about to leave.

"Not so fast Chazz" Kagemaru said and Chazz froze. Was he not pleased with me? He turned towards his master and something got tossed towards him. He instantly catches it and noticed three cards in his palm of his hand. His eyes widened.

"Take them with you Chazz" Kagemaru said "They would be useful in your search if you shall find secret passage ways or spies". Chazz was still staring at the cards, but when he felt his master's hand rest of his shoulder, he quickly looked up.

"Thank you master I am really grateful" He said slowly. Kagemaru growled a little.

"Just don't let me down Chazz. Don't make me regret choosing you for this job" He said.

Chazz bowed. He had no attention of letting his master down. Especially when he knew what was on the line. He preferred, if he ever failed – and he didn't – that the resistance killed him. It was less dreadful than standing in front of his master or his beasts. Chazz turned around on the heel and seconds later, left the throne room. As soon as he was outside, he leaned towards the wall and quickly hugged the cards.

"Ojama yellow, green, and black, I am so sorry" He whispered "I couldn't do a thing that time. I still can't! Master must have brought you out of the beasts body, and chosen to give you all back to me. He is too kind. I am sorry, but I have changed. I will never defy master. So properly hate me right now. I don't care. I am just so happy that you are back".

He looked at the cards, but there were no reply. Chazz sighed. He figured they wouldn't answer. He placed the cards in his pocket and began walking down the hallways, to his room. He needed to be fully prepared before leaving. However he didn't notice that someone was watching from the shadows.

Adrian's p.o.v.

Adrian was on his way upstairs of a tower. A tower who was part of Kagemaru's castle and apparently the home for a certain girl he liked. Echo! His childhood friend who got sold together with Adrian by their family. After all Adrian was not the true son of the gecko group, but not many knew that. Sadly Kagemaru actually did, but like Chazz, he saw some usefulness in him. They made a deal, he worked for Kagemaru, his master, and Echo was spared. She would have been killed otherwise. He had of course been through hell first before the deal was made. He was tortured, like Chazz, in one of the dungeons, but unlike Chazz, he never stood in front of the beasts. After all he broke long before Chazz did. Then Kagemaru made a deal, that as long as he behaved and obeyed him, Echo and himself was never gonna get punished. Adrian was thankful for that. He arrived at the door to the tower. It was guarded pretty well. Adrian sighed. He walked over there.

"Ahr Adrian, back again. I think the little bird has been missing you" one of the guards said and grinned "If you hadn't told us she was yours, we would have had our own fun with her".

Adrian sneered inside. On the outside he was however as cold as ever. He showed the glowing ring on his finger, who was a sign that his master had approved for him to visit Echo. If it still gloved when he walked inside, he was even approved of taking her outside the tower for a while. That happened only recently. However today was apparently not the day. Adrian wondered if his master was gonna do that in the future. After all he was in a good mood today. He wondered if it had something to do with the kingdom's meeting a couple of weeks ago. It couldn't be his reports could it? Adrian sighed and walked up the stairs to the tower. He found a door at the end of the stairs and quickly knocked on it.

"Echo it is me!" he said and opened the door. A book flew towards him. Adrian quickly evaded the book and the few others who was thrown at him. He sighed inside. She was apparently in a bad mood. Figures!

"Go away Adrian!" He could hear Echo yell "I don't want you in here. You good for nothing friend, spy or whatever you have called yourself these stupid days".

Adrian sighed. Here we go again! He looked around and found Echo standing in the only bed in the room. Beside that she had a little table with some chairs, a book shelves and a clothes in here. A door out to a tiny bathroom was also there. It was just big enough for a toilet, a sink and a tiny place for her to take a shower. She didn't have more than that. Adrian got hit in the head with a pillow.

"Aw!" He complained "Echo why are you always behaving like this, when I visit".

"Because you are nothing but an annoying brat who serves Kagemaru" she yelled "I am sick and tired of being here. I am going nuts! It has been ages since your last visit". Adrian sighed. He knew that already. Beside him, the guards was the only visit she had. Unless their lord had interest in visiting her. That only happened once so far.

"I am sorry Echo, but you know I am only allowed to visit you, when the master grants me permission" He defended. Echo just snort and turned her back at him.

"Excuses!" she sneered "You could just go up here, knock the guards down and free me. You are stronger than them. You just don't care that I am a prisoner do you!".

"Of course I care" He said stunned "I love you Echo, but you know as well as I, that if I do try to escape with you, the master will not be pleased. He will know instantly that I have tried escaping. He will just end up torturing us both. Maybe even kill you and I will never forgive myself if that happens". Echo looked at him and then snort.

"You deserve better Adrian. You are destined for better. Better than being Kagemaru's dog. You should rule" she stated "Kill me Adrian. Then you are free to do whatever you want". Adrian sighed deeply and walked over to Echo. He quickly pulled her into a hug, letting Echo's head rest at his chest.

"Do you realize what you are asking of me?" He said "Your death will not provide me with anything, beside me getting deeply hurt. The master have millions of ways to keep me in line. You are just the easiest way for him to do that with me". Echo snort, but she did hug him back. They were standing like that for a couple of minutes.

"I still want you free Adrian" she said slowly "Don't think I don't know about the rumors who are going around. I know what you are doing. I know you are a spy and helps the scorpions in the police force. You have captured dozen of people who broke the law and later seen them being executed. You know I kind of have a window seat".

Adrian sighed. Her window from the tower was having view over the castles main square, where Kagemaru executed people as an example of what happened if you tried to oppose him. He also knew that it was true that he had been one of them who found and brought to their execution, which could vary from being burned by fire, beheaded, or being hang. Adrian didn't like any of them at all, but at least he wasn't the one giving the sentence or the one killing them directly. Adrian sighed a little. He knew that was only an excuse, but still.

"Yeah I am sorry Echo" He said slowly "I know you want me free, but in this dark world, there is no such thing as freedom. I should consider myself lucky. I am of value to our lord, or both of our lives would have been a lot more worse. Even though I am this terrible person". Echo smiled and gave him a little kiss on the lips.

"You are not that terrible to me" she said when she pulled back "And at least you are not as terrible as Chazz".

Adrian froze by that and sighed inside. It may be true that Chazz served as Kagemaru's personal executor sometimes, but Adrian didn't think he was a more terrible person compared to himself. Yes Chazz did kill for their lord if ordered it, but still.. He was not anything better with tricking people into telling stuff they shouldn't, and because of that betrayed their families, and in the end either of shame or because the family hated them for their betrayal, died in some way. He had seen it a lot of times. No he was differently not any better than Chazz.

"Chazz is not that bad" He began saying and let go of Echo. He placed himself on one of the chairs "I know him, and well I think we are equally terrible". Echo sighed.

"Why are you always defending him?" She said and sat down on the other chair "He is nothing but trouble. He kills in the name of Kagemaru. Messes up spy and tracking missions a lot, and has this cold attitude towards everyone. Secondly he is Kagemaru's favorite. He has all the benefits".

Adrian hummed a little and leaned back on the chair. So that was how she saw Chazz eh. Adrian knew she couldn't be more wrong. Being favorite was not good at all, because then people were expecting more from then. He knew Kagemaru's expectations were really high, and he also knew for a fact that Chazz couldn't live fully up to them. He sighed a little.

"I am defending Chazz, because I know him" He then said "We have gone through the same thing. Same hell, same training. Chazz doesn't know this, but I admire him. He was the only one of us all, who withstood the beating process in the dungeon. Only one who wasn't broken, that until that incident with the beast". Adrian stopped up to catch his breath. Echo looked a little surprised at him, but she did reply him.

"Echo, please just give Chazz the benefit of the doubts" He continued "Even through Chazz don't see me as one, I do see him as my friend". Echo looked at him and then nodded a little. Adrian sighed relieved. Then he could heard sound of clapping.

"That was quite the speech. It shows a true bond of friendship eh" a voice said and grinned "Or one of the knots is at least tied. Apparently the other one forgot that".

"Who's there?" Adrian said and got up from the chair. The voice grinned again.

"Hmm that would be me" the voice said and a boy landed on the ground beside him.

"You?!" Adrian sneered "Yusuke what are you doing here? How did you get in?". Yusuke grinned a little and bowed to Echo, before looking at Adrian.

"Well was just in the neighborhood and.. what do you think I am doing here? Spying of course, and do you really think I need to use a door to get in here?" he said and grabbed Adrian's former chair "I can teleport almost wherever I want to go, with my power of darkness. It can hide me and everything I want to hide. Didn't I explain that to you?". Adrian sneered a little. Then he snort a little.

"You might have mentioned it" He replied coldly "But you are still evading my question. What are you doing here, your little cunning and manipulative spy?".

"Oh thanks for the compliment" Yusuke said and grinned "Well I just finished reporting in and decided to go visit your little girlfriend. You know even I need a break once in a while and well I heard you talking and decided to listen. You know I love gossip".

Adrian sneered. Yeah and every other conversation he can gain or get some benefits from to help himself. Echo sighed a little.

"I wanted to tell you one of these days Adrian" she said and looked down at the ground "But Yusuke does visit me once in a while". Adrian eyes widened. He did what? He could hear Yusuke grin a little.

"Oh come on Adrian, did you think you were the only one who visits her" He said and smirked "She is a maiden in distress. She shall have some company once in a while. Which reminds me, I brought some fruit".

He placed his hand at the table. Darkness flew around his palm and when he removed his hand, a basket with different food was standing on the table. Adrian could see oranges, apples, strawberry and grapes in the basket. He looked suspiciously at Adrian.

"Oh and what are you getting in return for visiting Echo Yusuke?" He said coldly "If you have done anything to her, I swear..". Yusuke grinned and grabbed some of the grapes and began eating them.

"You know me so well" He said and smirked "One of Kagemaru's rules. Don't Trust anyone but yourself. But don't worry Gecko, I am not asking any romance stuff in return, so relax. You do know I am gay right? I merely asks her to collect information for me in return".

Adrian looked over at Echo and she nodded in agreement. She took some of the strawberries. Adrian sighed and began eating an apple. He looked surprised at Yusuke, who was smiling innocently. Adrian snort inside. He couldn't buy me with food, but he most admit these pieces of fruit was delicious.

"So Echo any information on you know what?" Yusuke said and ate slowly some of the fruit. Adrian looked over at Echo. If it wasn't for the fact that Yusuke outranked him, he would have claimed his chair back, as well as kick him out of the tower.

"Nothing new, I am sorry" she said and sighed "I hadn't heard any new rumors regarding that. But at least nothing has changed right?". Yusuke sighed a little.

"Yeah that is true. Still at the same place, one of the only places I can't teleport into" He said and clenched his fists a little. Then he smiled again "Oh well I know I will succeed in the end. I am actually surprised that you Adrian hasn't asked me that question yet". Adrian could see Yusuke smirking evilly at him. He snort.

"What question?" He questioned. Yusuke grinned again.

"Well that question about me helping you getting your girlfriend out of the tower and away from our lord. So she is safe and sound" He replied "I can teleport out of here remember?!". Adrian sneered and clenched his fists.

"I don't ask.. because I don't trust you" He replied coldly "You want something in return. Secondly you could just set me up so our master has a reason to punish me further. You are as cunning as a fox, a snake and the devil together. Make a deal with you would only lead to my own destruction in the end". Yusuke snort a little.

"Aren't you exaggerating just a tiny bit" He said slowly "Don't compare me to the Satanist of the ice kingdom. I do have some feelings compared to Titan. I do Care, but not for you or this world, that is true. But I think my offer would interest you at least. It would benefit both partner. Let's call it a future investing". Adrian snort.

"Oh and what might that be" He said coldly "What is it you want from me?".

"I know you want Kagemaru gone Adrian and rule this world with peace. I have known that for a long time, but not told your master it. Secondly I am the best option for getting quick info and free your girlfriend from her prison. Like I said this world is not something I am interested in" Yusuke replied "All I want is for you to spy for me in return. I can't sadly remove Kagemaru from his position. That is gonna be your mess, but everything else, I think I will be able to do". Adrian eyes narrowed.

"Me, spy for you?" He said puzzled "You are already a better spy than me, why do you want me to spy for you as well. You can move around and hear everything without getting noticed". Yusuke smiled a little.

"Exactly. Hear, but not ask. I can catch up conversations, but not ask questions" He said "I can't make myself known, but you on the other hand can. You are good at getting the right answer out of people. That is the reason I need your talent".

"Hmm so spy for you about HIM then?" Adrian questioned "And in return you will help me? Well I would love for Echo to leave this place, but it would be too soon. I need to be sure, I can overthrow the master. So a future investment eh Yusuke".

"Yes, so do we have a deal?" He said and was holding a hand towards Adrian. The spy looked at the shadow boy and smirked. He took his hand.

"Deal!" He said. Yusuke smirked a little.

"Good, because I have some interesting news about Chazz, that I think you shall know!". Then he began telling them an interesting story.

Chazz's p.o.v.

"So this is Jesse and Ember?!" Chazz questioned and looked at the wanted posters at Don Zaloog's wall.

The boss of the dark scorpions and now police leader of the police force nodded. Chazz snort. He was right now at the police station and was inside Don Zaloog's office. He could see a blue haired boy at one of the pictures and a red orange haired girl on the other. They really didn't look like someone interesting. The ransom was not something big either. Only 10.000 Dp (duel points) each. Some of the other wanted, Like Aster Phoenix had 30.000 Dp. Tara had.. wait hers had raised?! From 50.000 to 65.000 Dp. Almost as high as her father's at 80.000 Dp. The most wanted was Yugi, Joey, Mai, and Sheppard, who was on the run for now. They had 100.000 Dp and was death or alive. Chazz knew his master mostly wanted them alive, but accidents could happen. Pegasus was on the run as well, but only had 90.000 over his head. Atticus also had a good amount on his head. 50.000 to be exact, but Chazz figured it was because he was former shadow rider. He let his eyes look at the different posters and found what he had been looking at. His target! This Ace girl. It was a long red/brown haired girl with blue eyes. His eyes narrowed at the ransom. It was 65.000 as well. The same amount as Tara. She must really have some important information. I have to succeed. I can't fail master will.. Chazz shook his head a little and rip the poster of the wall. He did the same with Ember and Jesse's. Don Zaloog didn't say anything to that, but Chazz knew that if it had been anybody else than him or Adrian, he would be really made. Oh yeah so good to be the Chazz! Chazz sighed inside. If that was the only bright side being "The Chazz", then he didn't want to be it. He placed the posters in the bag, he had on his back and looked, maybe a little coldly, at Don Zaloog.

"So can you open the portal to Europe? Master's order, I have a mission there" He told the police leader and Zaloog smirked a little.

"We already know that Chazz sir" He said and began walking outside of the building. "One of my workers has already prepared a portal. Oh by the way, I have a belt for you. You know communicator and stuff like that".

Chazz snort but took the belt the officer was holding towards him. He quickly removed the two scabbards from the strop in his pants and got the belt on. Then he attached the swords once again. He could feel the scabbards hit his leg a little, which gave him a reassuring feeling of safety. He had been getting so used to have the swords with him, that he kind of felt naked without them. Normally he only brought one of them with him, but this time he decided on both of them. If something unexpected should happen, but Chazz was not worried. With these swords, there were actually no one who could beat him. He had tied many times with Adrian, but no one had actually won over him in swordsmanship. His master had won over him, but not in swordsmanship. He was not a warrior and he didn't need it. The beast were strong enough to fight for him. Chazz knew that from experience. He sighed a little. He looked at his hand. He was still holding the three Ojama cards. He still couldn't believe his master had granted him permission to have cards on him. Chazz decided to place the cards in the communicator case. There they were safe and wouldn't fell out if he should run or something like that. They arrived outside. Chazz could see that a portal was open and ready for him to travel through.

"I will be sending you through now Chazz" Don said and smiled "Meanae will greet you on the other side. She takes care of Europe. Have a fun mission and don't fail. We really don't want to drag your injured body back to the lord. Or even worse.. your death corps".

Chazz snort. Like he didn't know the stakes in the first place. He just hoped no one came in between. He took a deep breath, honked up in the bag and walked through the portal.

A,N: Well that was an interesting and sad chapter in my eyes. Chazz being Kagemaru's loyal soldier and favorite, and Adrian being spy and plotting something. Wonder if Yusuke is gonna help him/them in the future. Who knows? As for the wanted people. There is a lot of other posters, but figured that I shouldn't mention all of them right now. Want me to mention others in the future? As for the next chapter, we are back at The Resistance. More members are shown, new stories are told, sort of and the plot is gonna thicken a little.
