Friendship can be found in all different occasions between many different people. You can be sized differently or even despite each other at first. It can even be fake sometimes. But when two people endured hardships and despair together and still would do anything for each other, it is then shown what true friendship really is.

Demon hybrid in Titan's kingdom.

Adrian's p.o.v.

Adrian walked with slow steps through the misty evening, having his hoodie up over his head to cover his face. He had just arrived at a village somewhere in Europe. What it's name was or what country it was in, didn't apply to Adrian at all. All he knew was that this village was where his newest mission was suppose to happen, and Adrian carried out his mission without any hesitation at all. That was how he was educated in. However it did hurt his conscience a little. Adrian sighed and looked around in his surroundings. There were no one on the streets this late. Maybe some pretty poor people or someone who had enough money and was enjoying the good drinks at the taverns in here. Adrian smirked. The tavern in this town was actually his target this evening. He walked quickly over there. It was not hard to miss since tavern was really used in this world. A hungry and tired traveler could always get a place to stay at. If they have the right among of money of course. However Adrian also knew few pup's took in people regardless money, which could mean people from the resistance or wanted people, and that was what he was investigating. He walked inside this tavern with quiet steps. There were few people in the tavern. Some people was sitting at the table, drinking some liquid. They were of course dressed in cloaks with the hoodie up. Adrian smirked. It was a good move. You could never trust people these day. He walked over to the bar disk. A man with short black hair and a little goatee was polishing the different glass there. He looked up when Adrian walked over to the disk. The bartender was rather muscular build and was dressed in a tank top and simple pants which had seen better days. He was also barefooted. On the info Adrian had on him, his name was Mr. Huffington.

"What's it gonna be stranger?" He asked firmly and smiled a tiny smile "A room? Something to drink or eat? I can tell yer we make the hottest sauce in the country".

"I am sure you do" Adrian mumbled and rubbed his ears. The man was a bit loudly. However he did take a seat and without many noticing, he looked around. There were 3 cloaked people in here, beside himself. He looked at the bartender.

"A ice cold glass of water please" He then said "And a small plate of food, if it's possible". The bartender smirked.

"Coming right up. Chumley, tell your mom to bring a special" he yelled. Adrian could hear a voice reply that, but no one showed for now. The bartender placed a glass on the table and began pouring simple water and some ice cubes.

"So are you from around here stranger?" Mr. Huffington asked. "And you are sure you don't want anything stronger?". Adrian nodded and drank slowly from the glass. He noticed an interesting mark the disk, who made him smirk. Oh he was completely hitting the right target this time. The bartender huffed a little and began polishing glass or other things again. He looked at the other customers once in awhile. A boy, properly the one called Chumley, walked in from the kitchen carrying a little plate with some food. A fish and some bread of some kind. Adrian have had more fancy food, but he didn't complain. Food was food, but for safety he did check it for any kind of drunks. He also had a stolen look on the dish boy as well. Chumley huffington had been one of the old students at duel academy before Kagemaru took over the world. He was also once friends with Syrus Truesdale and now Vampire Jaden Yuki. He could well be a contact to the resistance. Adrian needed to be sure.

"A refill" he then said slowly and pointed at the glass. He had slowly eaten the food while saying it. After all he was not sure when he got something else to eat.

"Right, still water or something stronger?" Mr. Huffington asked.

"The same please" He just replied and got his glass filled once again.

"Hmm as you wish, you are a strange fellow" Huffington said "Normal people want something stronger at this time of the evening, are you at work or something?".

"You could say that" Adrian replied and smirked. He tossed a coin on the disk, just where that mark was. Chumley and Mr. Huffington both froze. They looked at the coin with horror written in their face. Chumley tried backing out of the room and out in the kitchen, but Adrian didn't let him.

"Hmm I will be really sad if you left us now koala boy" he said in a mocking tone "It could look like you were about to warn someone. Please by all means stay with your father. I insist". He could see Chumley's painted look on his face and he looked at his father for advice. In the end, he returned beside his father, like Adrian wanted.

"You are one of the lord's minions" Mr. Huffington said in a low voice this time "You are a bearer of the beast coin. What do you want?". Adrian chuckled.

"I am only investigating" He said in a low voice as well "If you are loyal to my master, you will have nothing to fear". He could see the two Huffington's look at each other with a worried look. Adrian smirked. They needed to be worried alright. If his information was correct, they all would soon be arrested for treason against his master. Adrian only cared about two things in this world. Echo and pleasing his master. He of course wanted to overthrone Kagemaru, but that was only because he then could be with Echo forever. If he just got her out of the way.. to freedom, then Adrian would enslave himself to his master, just to know she was safe. He wasn't less loyal for that reason. However if he could be with Echo forever and get her out of the tower, then he would try overthrow his master. Even though he knew he couldn't beat him. Therefore he didn't care about what happened to them who was keeping resistance members and Wanted people safe. Although he didn't like seeing people getting killed. Adrian took another stolen look in the tavern. The guests hadn't moved or tried to leave the room just yet. Either they hadn't noticed the changing atmosphere here or they were pretending to be one of the guests when they were in reality not. Adrian knew some wanted people must be here and if someone tried running out while he was investigating, he was ready for them. With his ice blade that was. One of the swords he was having was merged with the power from Raviel's breath . One of the sacred beasts. He got up from the chair and was about to take a look around, when a sound from his communicator could be heard. Adrian sneered. Why was someone contacting me in the middle of a investigation? Then he noticed it was blinking red, who was a sign for a sos. Adrian sneered and grabbed the communicator. It just had to be important.

"What?!" he sneered in it knowing someone from the police force was at the other end "I am on a mission and was investigating here. What can possibly be so important that you are contacting me?".

"I am sorry Lord Adrian sir" he could hear Don Zaloog say in the other end "However you were closest by and you always said we should contract you if HE needed help". Adrian frowned a little. Who was he talking about?

"An hour ago Chazz's SOS signal appeared at the radar of our headquarter" Zaloog continued "He was apparently beaten on his mission. Mostly because he is not answering the communicator. Either because he is too prideful or because he is badly injured. I could send someone over, but it would take a while and..".

"I will go" Adrian said coldly "Send me the coordinates and I will go get him".

"But Lord Adrian you are on a mission and.."

"To hell with the mission" He sneered back and interrupted the police member "Send me a two ways portal. One way to him and the other way home, and do it quick". Then he turned off the communicator. He looked at the bartender and sneered.

"You are all lucky" he said "Something came up, but if I find out you have been going behind my master's back, you are all gonna get it". Then he turned toward the portal who had appeared instantly behind him now and soon after the was gone. The last thought who was going through Adrian's head was I care about three things in this world. Echo, my Master and Chazz!

Adrian arrived at a forest like terrain with a few boulders around once in awhile. However he was not here to awe the view. He needed to find Chazz and fast. Some meters away, he noticed a dark silhouette on the ground. He quickly rushed over there.

"Chazz! Chazz!" he yelled and kneeled beside the person who he now could see was Chazz. He shook him lightly and notice the bump on his head, as well as the injury at his leg, shoulder and the arrow in his stomach who he quickly pulled out. Chazz groaned lightly and opened slowly his eyes. He looked tired. The arrows might have hit some nerves and blood veins, which properly caused him to lose some blood, but at least he was not in death threatening situation. He looked weakly at Adrian.

"What are you doing here Gecko?" he whispered slowly "I don't need your help!".

"Yep you are Chazz alright" Adrian smirked "No one would be as proud as you. Your Sos signal went off, so I came to bring your home. Pitiful Princeton getting hit by arrows. Who were you fighting with?". Chazz sneered a little.

"Resistance member, I was sure they didn't have an archer. They spared my life" Chazz mumbled and coughed "Gecko let me stay here and die". Adrian snort and lifted up in Chazz and tossed his arm over his shoulder to support him better.

"Yeah right, after all the trouble of getting here" He replied and smirked "You are coming home and gets your wounds tended". Chazz groaned weakly.

"He.. he.. he will kill me" Chazz mumbled slowly "Kill me. If I failed.. doubled up punishment and the beast.. Master will not be pleased. Not be pleased with me at all. Adrian I beg you.. Kill me!". Adrian could see his weak body shake in fear and his face was having a horrified expression. He sighed. He knew their Master all too well. He will not be pleased alright. He tugged up in the distressed boy. In some way giving him a weird awkward hug.

"We will deal with that when you are healed okay Chazz?" He questioned and Chazz looked tired at him "I promise you will first deal with Master after your injuries are healed. Trust me okay?! I have been in the same hell as you, so I understand". Chazz let out a deep breath and he calmed a little more down. Before Adrian knew it he was sleeping soundly in his arms. Adrian sighed. Of course he did that. Now he had to drag his sleeping body back to the castle. However at the same time Adrian was smiling. Chazz trusted him enough to fall asleep in his tight grip. That was at least something. With a little difficulty Adrian got Chazz with him through the new portal. Soon they would be home again.

Jesse's p.o.v.

"Av, Av, Av, easy with that". Jesse sighed deeply while looking at Dimitri who was lying in a bed in the the hospital wing. Rebecka was treating his wounds with some ointment and water, but Dimitri was not taking this well. Who could blame him? Chazz had almost cut them into pieces, but compared to anyone else Dimitri was complaining a lot. Too much in Jesse's ears. If he was thinking this treatment was terrible, then he should see the treatments people was getting in the demon kingdom. Jesse could also see Syrus who was in a similar state sending Dimitri an reproachful look. He was not complaining at all. Beside Syrus and Dimitri almost everyone who had been fighting was in the hospital wing as well. Axel was treated by Sarina who had removed the burned pieces of Axel's armor and placed ointment on the few burn wounds he was having. Aster was having a few ice bags on his sore back. It had gotten some few blue and black marks. Ace and Ember was running around and helping Sarina with the other patient as well. Right now Ember was treating Jesse actually, which she had pointed out she was the only one doing. Sometimes Jesse felt Ember could be a little overprotective of him, but then again this was also one of her sides he likes. Actually there wasn't any side he didn't like of Ember. Jesse groaned when Ember was tightening the bandages around his stomach. Chazz had hit him pretty hard there. Properly even broken a few ribs, but with help of Sarina, his injuries were healing pretty fast. Actually everyone's injuries were healing quicker than normal. Ember hugged him slightly.

"All done, I placed a bandage on your hand as well, so don't use it. Chazz stained it a little" Ember told him. Jesse nodded. He sighed a little. He was just glad they all survived this fight alive. More or less.

"Do you two know what kind of mess you two have provided" they could hear a male voice yell loudly "Our safety is at stake here. I should never had let that boy join us".

"What?! This is not Atticus's fault here" yelled a female voice Jesse knew pretty well.

"Tara, he is the lover to the shadow mage. A shadow mage who now knows where our headquarter is. This is catastrophe" they could hear Kaiba yell from the door to a room at the end of the hospital wing.

"Um sir, he just didn't want me to meddle in the battle. We do not have a relations..".

"So what if he is lover of the shadow mage" Tara interrupted Atticus "That can have a lot of benefits. Secondly if he had told someone about our location, Kagemaru would have been here by now and we would all be in prison". Jesse eyes widened.

"I don't care that he hasn't told Kagemaru yet. The problem is he could, and I am not leaving this up to any chance. Like you did today young lady" They could hear Kaiba yell in reply "I don't care that the mage promised this boy not to tell, if they meet once in awhile. It is too risky and I don't trust him". Jesse looked at the others.

"Are they um always discussing things like this?" he questioned. The other resistance members nodded quickly. Syrus smirked a little.

"Sometimes it is a lot worse" he commented. They could hear them yell a little more.

"So why do you not trust Atticus? He has proven many times his worth" Tara yelled.

"Um please stop adding me into this conversation" Atticus said in a worried tone.

"He is a former shadow rider and lover to the shadow mage who happens to be the bad guy Tara" Kaiba yelled and ignored Atticus "He could betray us..".

"He won't" Tara yelled a lot louder "Listen old man. Since that day we lost Jim and Hassleberry you have been scared of doing anything. Lost the trust in your own men and been hiding like that coward you are. And now you are sacred because Atticus met his ex boyfriend. I can tell you something more terrible if you like, father! I meet Jaden. You know my twin brother. We even meet twice, and he didn't kill me as you can see. Oh yeah and now we are at it, I also meet Zane. You know the boy I have a crush on who so happens to be Camula's right handed man. Sometimes it is good trusting people". Everyone in the hospital wing looked surprised up. Axel and Aster sighed a little. Then the door got up and Tara got determined out while having a tight grip in Atticus's hand. With the other hand, she was holding an ice pack at her head.

"Tara come back" sneered Kaiba and was now standing in the open door "We are not finished yet". To that reply Tara pointed raspberry at him.

"Yes we are father" she said coldly "I have decided my path and you can't stop me". Then she walked away with Atticus still tangled after her. He actually didn't do a thing to get out of her grib. Soon they were gone. Kaiba looked stunned at that and looked like he didn't know what to do. Rebecca sighed and got of Dimitri's bed. She grabbed Kaiba's arm and pulled him with her near the commando central.

"We need to talk now" she said and looked at Sarina "Bring Sartorius as well. We need a little meeting". Sarina nodded and soon after that group left as well.

"That was surprising" Ember commented "Tara is in love with a vampire".

"That doesn't shock me too much" Jesse commented "What is the deal with your leader being a coward after Hassleberry and Jim left?". The others sighed.

"Hassleberry and Jim was one of the best we had in the resistance" Syrus commented "There were no assignment they couldn't do and their fighting skills were impressive. The same you can say about their knowledge. Or that is how Kaiba sees it. We lost them on an assignment at the demon kingdom. They protected us and well yeah you know what happened". Jesse and Ember both nodded. They were not completely there when these two got captured, but Jesse remembered the day they meet them. Ember and him were servants who as assigned to feed them in the prison. That was how they met and became friends. Jesse clenched his hands. He still couldn't believe that Titan had transformed them into these hybrids. His beloved pets as he called them. He could feel Ember's hand on his shoulder now and he slowly called down.

"Kaiba never saw better potential in other members" Axel hummed slowly "He had given up. Tara is right about that he is a coward". Aster nodded.

"Yeah even when Axel joined us, he kind of dismissed the idea that we had a chance now" He added quickly "However Tara does. She sees the value in every member. Even in your three. She was the reason we sought to save you from Chazz".

"Yeah we actually follow her as our leader" Dimitri said slowly "Behind Kaiba's back of course. And looks like Tara has decided on her path now". Syrus sighed.

"Yeah, but I am worried that if something doesn't change drastically around here Tara will leave us and join the vampires" Syrus said and sneered "So she can be with Jaden and Zane". Jesse lifted an eyebrow at that, but didn't reply on it.

"Without her Axel with leave as well" Aster said and hit Axel's shoulder "You would follow her to the end of the world and back again. However now we are at it, what are you three seeking here?". Aster looked up at Jesse, Ember and Ace. Jesse sighed. He began telling about that Hassleberry and Jim had both laid a good word in for the resistance and that he had a feeling Jim was sending them in their place. He told them about what had happened and Ember added the crystal they had stolen. The resistance members looked at each other with a worried look. Ace ended the conversation.

"And I have information from Banner's kingdom, but it looks like I should share it with Tara more than your leader it seems" She said. The others nodded. Aster eyes narrowed and looked at Ember for a little bit. He looked worried.

"That crystal you have, may I have a look on that" he then asked. Ember nodded slowly and walked over to Aster and took up the red Rubin from the bag at her belt. There were utter silence now. Syrus looked shocked. They same did Dimitri.

"What? What is it?" Ember asked worried. Aster looked at Syrus and Dimitri.

"How interesting" said a voice suddenly and Tara was standing in the doorstep to the room. Atticus was right behind her "This is a demon crystal. The ones who Jim researched on in australia. Which means Sartorius's reading was correct once again. You Ember are the demon card".

Hassleberry's p.o.v.

Hassleberry sighed deeply as he walked through the piles of snow who rose up to his ankles. He kicked some of it, while he pulled up a tired and weak Jim who he supported by his side as well. They were right now in Greenland, or part of the old Greenland. It was now home for the ruler Titan who ruled here with an iron fist. Those people who lived here and who wasn't forced into servitude at the castle, was living as normal as their old culture could live, while getting tormented by a herd of demons once in awhile. That happened more often that Hassleberry and Jim liked. However they couldn't do much about it. Like the locals, Jim and Hassleberry was forced into servitude, and Titan was their master. Regardless if they wanted or not. Hassleberry hated him. He hated him for what they had become. For him to ruining their lives and all that. However he also knew Jim hated him more. He was after all their master's little favorite, and Hassleberry knew there were things that happened to him, that didn't happen to the rest of them here. Both good and bad. Hassleberry however didn't exactly know what that was, since Jim didn't want to talk about it, but he was there for his friend and sarge anyway. The day he wanted to talk about it, he would be there to listen and hopefully help him as well. Hassleberry clenched one of his fists. Oh how he wished they could escape. He wished that with all his heart, but sadly they were bound to him. Their creepy and evil master. They could never escape. Jim let out a weakly groan and Hassleberry quickly looked at his friend. Jim was still weak from being in the river and he was still shaking a little. He didn't know if it was because Jim needed something to rise his body temperature or because of the snow they were surrounded by. Normally the snow didn't bother them at all, but maybe now that Jim's temperature was low, it was? Jim looked weakly out in the horizontal. A big castle was shown there. It was in someway there home, but Hassleberry knew they both never saw it as that. They both dreaded setting their feets at that place.

"Home sweet home" Jim said sarcastically "Wonder what he is doing to me this time". His voice was weak, but Hassleberry heard it.

"Maybe he is not so angry Sarge. After all Ember did active the crystal" he said in a reassuring voice. Jim just sighed.

"Let's just get inside before he gets more angry. We are really behind in reporting in" he replied. Hassleberry nodded, but he did notice the fear in his sarge's eyes.

They entered the castle some minutes after. Hassleberry had rushed over to the front gate, who was of course guarded by some demons, but they knew better than to stop Titan's favorite and soldier. They were not asking them what they were doing here . They properly knew. They now were in this giant hallway with three paths. One to the left, one to the right and one in the middle. The middle path was where they needed to go. It lead to a staircase. The master was having the throne room near there, but also secondly having his room at the top of the staircase. Servants were living at the bottom. Demons and soldiers was living in between.

"So Jim, any idea where the master is?" Hassleberry questioned.

"I can't feel him. I am too weak. I guess maybe I should call on someone then?" Jim replied and sighed. Hassleberry shrugged. He knew someone would attend to Jim as soon as he called. He was not Titan's favorite for nothing, but he also knew Jim despite doing that. He hated to be reminded of who he was here.

"Well, well, look who is back" said a grinning evil voice that made both of the two demon hybrids freeze. "Can't actually believe you two would show your faces after you failed that mission". Hassleberry clenched his fists.

"Brron" he said in a cold voice and turned towards the demon fiend who was standing beside them now. Jim looked weakly up from the grib from Hassleberry's supporting arms. Hassleberry could see Brron smirk at the pitiful státe Jim was in. That made Hassleberry more angry inside.

"The master is less dangerous if you return to him after a failed mission. It is ten times better than if you don't" Jim replied just as coldly. "You know that more than everyone else, don't you Brron?". The fiend grinned.

"Yeah you could say that croco boy" he replied in a mocking tone. He tilted his head "But I am actually stunned. The big bad demon hybrid brothers failed a mission. I am looking forward to the master's sentence over you two". Hassleberry sneered angry and let go of Jim. He was swaying a little but he did manage to stay on his feets.

"You are asking for it" Hassleberry said and charged at the fiend. "Horns of a triceratop". Brron smirked and was about to respond, when a voice coughed.

"Ahem I would advice you two to fight outside or in our local training facilities. Not in the hallways". Hassleberry and Brron stopped instantly up when Gren and Zure walked over towards them. Gren was the one who had been talking. He knew the rules and was Titan's adviser in some way. Gren coughed again.

"The master awaits you two demon hybrids in his throne room" He continued and sighed "And be prepared for his wrath. You two has really messed up". Hassleberry and Jim both gulped by that.

Timeskip.

Soon after they were standing at the door to the throne room. The two males looked at each other before knocking at the door. A cold reply came and they both entered seconds later. A dark room filled with torches was met when they entered. They both turned toward the throne in the middle of the room though. Towards the evil being sitting there. The man they both despites, but couldn't escape no matter what. They walked closer and kneeled quickly down some meters away from their master.

"We have returned master" Jim replied slowly. Hassleberry knew he was scared and who could blame him? They could feel the darkness tighten around them.

"You two are late!" Titan sneered "And to sum it up, you failed me..".

"We are terrible sorry master" Jim replied quickly. He was shaking weakly. He was not at full strength after all. Hassleberry was amazed Jim actually found the strength to talk right now, since the darkness made it hard for him to breathe. He was admiring Jim's bravery. Just like he always had. Titan sneered.

"You let them escape!" he yelled angry "Which made me look like a fool when I told Banner about them. The two little thieves". Hassleberry gulped a little.

"And to make matters worse, you got saved by them brat" he continued angry and pointed at Jim "And then you both arrived late. What do you have to say in defense?". Jim looked weakly up at their master.

"Master please, it was all my decision, don't punish Hassleberry" he begged.

"Sarge!" yelled Hassleberry in disbelief "I can take care of myself..". Jim glared at him and Hassleberry went silent once again. Titan snort.

"I know full well who is to blame for this" he sneered and looked at Jim with cold eyes "Brat, come here!". Hassleberry could hear Jim sigh. He got up, walked over to him and kneeled down once again. Titan grabbed around his collar.

"Who are you loyal to brat?" He asked coldly.

"You, only you master" Jim replied quickly. Titan snort again.

"Good, why?" He asked. Hassleberry closed his eyes. He hated this part.

"Because you own us" Jim replied slowly "Pets are belonging and are loyal to their master". Hassleberry sneered inside. He couldn't treat us like this!

"Correct brat! Then tell me why you disobeyed my orders" Titan yelled and tossed Jim to the ground. He even was having one of his boots at Jim's back. Jim groaned slightly by that. Hassleberry knew he really didn't have any strength to do anything.

"He saved my life" Jim whispered in a low voice, but Titan and Hassleberry could still hear him. "Jesse chose to save my life. I had to repay him". Titan sneered angry.

"You are a fool brat. A fool" he said coldly and began to kick him "You shouldn't be that loyal to that servant boy. You shouldn't even consider him your friend, but still you are. You see something in him don't you brat? He remind you of yourself, before you became mine". Titan had stopped kicking Jim for now and Hassleberry could see that Jim nodded weakly. Hassleberry sneered and rushed over there.

"Master please don't be so hard on the sarge" he said quickly and bowed down near Jim "We did fulfil half of the assignment. The girl, Ember, she did use the crystal. Seeing Jesse in distress activated it, just like you foresaw..".

"I didn't say you could speak Dino boy" Titan sneered, but then he smirked "But true. Half of the assignment was fulfilled. Too bad I don't give half punishments". He was about to attack Hassleberry when Jim managed to come in between.

"Please Master, Hassleberry has nothing to do with this. This is my mess. I failed the mission. So please let him go. He is my friend". Hassleberry looked shocked at Jim.

"Does it look like I care brat? Friends are not that important. I told you that a million times, but you still cling to it" Titan sneered and grabbed Jim by the collar again "You are a disrespectful insolent little brat. I thought you had learned your lesson last time when I killed that precious alligator of yours. Maybe I need to make a new example". Hassleberry could see Jim's eyes widen in horror.

"No please don't" Jim begged "I am sorry if I was disrespectful. I will behave, just don't do anymore examples". Titan sneered a little angry.

"I decide that brat" He yelled and looked at Hassleberry "However I am willingly to let you partner slide, since you feel so attached to him". Jim's eyes widened.

"Thank you master" Hassleberry could hear Jim say. He looked down at the floor and then over at Hassleberry with a worried look "Go Hassleberry".

"But I can't leave you.." He began but looking into Jim's sad eyes stopped him and he sighed. He marched out of the room seconds later. He knew what was going to happen. Titan was gonna punish him and take something from Jim who he treasured. Hassleberry sighed again and closed the door behind him. He sat down on the floor while leaning up at the wall. He was gonna be there, when Jim's punishment was done. He was not gonna leave his friend ever.

Time skip.

"Is it here?" a female voice asked.

"Yeah it is here mate" the other voice added "Apparently the camp for Titan, the satanist and his demons". Hassleberry looked over at the edge of the cliff and down to the mines down there. An impressive scar was cutted into a giant stone wall, and was now an opening to this mine. Hassleberry whisled impressed.

"Sam hill, they have working hard, since we last spied on them" he commented and his mouth was quickly covered by some female hands. Tara's hand he knew.

"Are you trying to make everyone notice us?" He sneered in a low voice "Father said we should observe them and avoid battle by all means". Aster and Syrus nodded in agreement.

"I would like not to engage them in battle" Syrus added "These demons looks dangerous. What are they actually doing here? Digging here in Australia".

"If we knew that, we wouldn't observe them, nor would we mate" Jim replied and grinned "However after what my entail tells me, they are looking for Crystals".

"Crystals?" Tara questioned "As in Jewels and stuff? Why would they want that? To raise money?". The others shrugged. Shirley growled in agreement in Jim's backpack.

"Who knows my beloved dino queen" Hassleberry replied "I just hope the copy cat would hurry. I am worry for his safety". The others nodded slowly.

"Are you sure this was a good idea to go?" Aster then questioned "This doesn't seem right".

"You aren't scared Aster, are you?" Tara said and grinned "It is not like you to be scared".

"I am not scared. Not about the mission at least" He replied "But you remember Sartorius's warning. He warned Kaiba and us to go, but you know Kaiba. He ignores everything who has something to do with fortunetelling". Tara grinned by that.

"Yeah, father is like that" she said prideful "I want to be brave like he is". Jim chuckled by that and petted Shirley on the back. He smiled a big smile at her.

"I actually think you should be more like yourself Tara mate" He commented "Go the path you believe in and follow your heart, regardless what anyone else says, then nothing can be completely wrong". Tara lit quickly up by that.

"Is that how you became an adventurer and archaeologist Jim?" she questioned. Jim smiled.

"Well yeah and that it has always been my dream to be archaeologist" He replied and looked at Shirley. The alligator growled in agreement. A sound from the bushes could be heard and out came a demon, who quickly transformed into Dimitri. He quickly kneeled down beside the others. He had a worried look on his face.

"I got as close as I could" He replied "They are mining some weird color crystals and I found some ancient text on the wall. I manage to copy it to one of the devices, but I think someone notice and I decided to hightail it out of it". Jim took the device and began reading the text. His brows narrowed into a worried expression.

"encased demons. Spells of darkness.." He mumbled "I am not liking this. We have observed enough for now. Let's get back". The others nodded. They had just agreed on that, when they could hear a grinning evil voice all around them.

"Are you leaving already? That's a shame, I hoped you could stay a little". A herd of demons suddenly surrounded the resistance members. Hassleberry and the others looked in shock around. Then he appeared. The lord from scandinavien. Titan, the satanist. He smirked.

"Resistance members who is spying on me and my men" He said and grinned "How delightful. I always could use some new guinea pigs". The demons laughed all around them. The resistance members quickly grabbed to weapon. They began fighting and a heated battle began. Jim and Hassleberry was fighting with swords as the only good weapons and was therefore the only ones matching the demon and lord. The others were trying to fight as well, but they were at a disadvantage. At some point Shirley actually bit a demon in the foot and therefore manage to make an opening in their defenses. The members rushed over there, only to be blocked by some new demons. Hassleberry and Jim looked at each other and nodded. They cut through that weak defense for now and now they others could manage to flee. Jim and Hassleberry looked at the stunned group.

"What are you waiting for mates, go on run!" Jim yelled. Tara looked stunned at them.

"Jim! Hassleberry what are you talking about?" she yelled in horror. "We are not leaving without you". Hassleberry snort a little and cut some more of them.

"We can't discuss this now dino queen" He replied "You got to live on. All of you. Some has to stop the bad guys from claiming the world completely". Jim grinned.

"Yeah it is time, the teachers passed on the torch to the students" He replied "Tara remember what I said. Follow your path and heart. Then not all of it can go wrong". Tara was about to protest, but Aster grabbed her and began running. Dimitri and Syrus followed soon after and Jim and Hassleberry stayed to make sure no one followed them. Hassleberry looked at Jim with a big grin.

"Looks like Sartorius's prediction was true after all right sarge" He said and cut some more demons "That if we go, we would sacrifice two members. That's properly us". Jim smirked.

"Not before we at at least take some of them with us" He proclaimed and looked at Shirley "Right girl?!". Shirley growled by that and the two males attacked.

"Hassleberry! Hassleberry wake up!" yelled a voice and made the dino hybrid wake up from his slumber. It had not been his plan to sleep in the middle of Jim being punished, but apparently he had been so tired by standing near their master. Sometimes that happened. He yawned a little and opened his eyes. 

"Ahr!" he yelled shocked up and flew up from the floor and was quickly in defensive matter. In front of him was a green and white demonic monster he never had seen before. It was a combination of a crocodile/lizard and a fossil. Kind of a crocodile with fossil armor on. The demon sighed a little.

"Hassleberry It is me, Jim" the demon said and sighed again "Please calm down. I know you haven't seen my demon form before, but it is really me, your sarge". Hassleberry blinked by that. His eyes narrowed a little.

"Prove it" he said slowly. It had not been first time someone had been trying to trick him. They were living in a demon kingdom after all. He had seen his share of shapeshifters and other nasty things. The demon sighed.

"Fine, I say ma..te a lot and had a alligator named Shirley" he replied "We trained Aster and Tara in swordsmanship once too". Hassleberry eyes widened.

"Sarge!" he said in a happy confused tone "It is really you. Why are you in demon form? I thought you hated being in it?". Jim nodded and sighed.

"He was not pleased. Master was not pleased. So he.. he sealed my human form" he then said slowly "At least he rose my body temperature before punishing me. So I am not gonna die..". Hassleberry placed a comforting hand at his shoulder.

"There, there Sarge take a deep breath and calm down" he said in a reassuring voice "We can endure it. You are strong Sarge Jim. How long are your human form sealed?". Jim sniffed a little and leaned his head at the dino males shoulder.

"Between never and forever" He then whispered "He said he would break the seal when I behaved correctly. In his eyes that can be all sort of thing. Can I stay at your place for a while. I can sleep at the floor or something. I just don't want to be alone for now". Hassleberry nodded quickly. Jim could stay as long as he liked. However swore that one day he would return Jim back to himself. Whatever it took.

Tara's p.o.v.

Tara looked at both sides of the dark corridors before she snuck out of the room and crept through the hallways in hope of not getting noticed. It was in the middle of the night and the perfect time to sneak out of the headquarter. At her back she was having a medium backpack with a lot of stuff she thought could be useful in the future. She had made up her mind now and nothing, nothing at all could change it. Tara had decided to leave the headquarters and travel this dark world. She was done hiding. She wanted to help people around the world now, regardless what could happened to her. She was wanted after all and this was a dark world, but Tara didn't care. She took a few more steps in the hallways looking around before walking once again.

"You are not really good at that" said a voice that made freeze surprised up for moment. She turned around and saw Atticus behind her. He smiled at her.

"If you want to be unnoticed then try being one with the shadows and not only hide for the light" he continued and grinned "So you are finally leaving this place Tara?".

"Yes" she said and nodded "I am finished with hiding. I have decided my path now and you can't stop me Atticus". The male actually grinned a little.

"Who said anything about stopping you" he replied "I didn't wait outside your door the whole night to stop you. I want to come with you". Tara looked surprised at him.

"But it could be dangerous and.." she stopped up when she noticed the backpack at his shoulders. The black haired male just grinned.

"Oh and that hadn't occurred to me Tara" He said and smirked "You and I are the only wanted who is actually prefered to capture alive you know. However like you I want to leave. I am really not appreciated here anyway. Beside by you". Tara sighed.

"Why are you telling me all this?" she questioned. Atticus sighed.

"Because you have to give me permission to leave" he replied "The mark you know. You are the only one beside your father, Sarina, and Sartorius who can made me leave. The others can but they shall have permission from above first".

"Oh" Tara said and remembered the mark her father had given him. She looked at him "What would you actually do if I give you permission? Not that I don't trust you, but I just have to know". Atticus shrugged a little.

"I am not sure actually" he replied "I know that I have to confront Yusuke sooner or later. He let me go last time after you won over Chazz. He really just didn't want me to meddle. He even promised me not to reveal the headquarter as I told you, but what his agenda is in this dark world, I don't know. I want to know, but like Yusuke pointed out that you only can find him, when he wants to be found. So until he decides to show, I will stay with you. I believe you can use all the help you can get". Tara hummed a little. She figured he would say something like that. Then she shrugged. Whatever agenda Atticus had with his Ex boyfriend, it really didn't matter to her at all. Unless they dragged her into their confrontation, which she believed was not the case. She couldn't see why he shouldn't tag along. She nodded.

"Sure you are permitted to go Atticus" she said "You can leave". Atticus smiled happily and they both began leaving towards the exit

As soon as they were outside a new voice coughed and Tara found Axel leaning at the wall to the headquarter. He was dressed in his armor, who Freya apparently had fixed. His sword was also attached to him of course. Axel walked over to her.

"You are not leaving without me" he replied coldly "That is a fact Tara Yuki. I have sworn my allegiance to you and I will follow you to end of the world. There is nothing to discuss here". Tara was about to open his mouth in protest, but quickly closed it again. Axel's eyes burned with determination. She knew she couldn't talk him from it. She nodded just quickly to show she had approved.

"Don't forget about us" said a new voice and out of the shadows a group was standing. Aster, Syrus, Dimitri, Freya, Ace, Jesse and Ember was as prepared to leave as the rest of them. Like Axel, she couldn't apparently talk them out of it from leaving. They all had something they should do in some way. Aster said she was his best friend and he was not gonna leave her alone on this journey. Syrus said he had some business with the vampires and she was the easiest way to get there. Tara didn't know what that business was. Dimitri was with them for the fun of it. Jesse and Ember wanted to solve the secrets around the demon crystals apparently, and Ace owed Jesse and Ember her life, so she followed them. Freya snort coldly at Tara.

"I am only going because I have something to archive as well" She proclaimed coldly. "I am not following you because I want to Tara Yuki. Your ideals and way of thinking, doesn't follow my own principals. That said, you are the only freedoms fighter in the world for now. I am stuck with you from the time being. So don't get all mushy and friendly around me. We are not friends. Only allies". Tara shrugged. If that was how Freya wanted it. However she really couldn't understand that girl at all. Tara did notice the happy look on Aster's face. He was smiling like hell.

"Oh Freya, I am so glad you joined us" he proclaimed. "By the way didn't you have something to show us". Freya snort coldly and glared at Tara.

"If I have to" she said and grabbed a giant sack who apparently had been standing beside her "Aster persuaded me to make them for our alliance. However don't expect me to fix them or make new ones just because you didn't take good care of it". She was given them unique weapons who apparently made for each owner. Ember got a lightweight red sword, who could absorb fire for some reason. Dimitri and Syrus got rapier who could change shape. Ace, a water and fire protective bag as well as two daggers. She was not the fighting kind of type. Tara and Aster got two normal swords. Freya said they were unique, but that the wielder had to unlock it's potential. Axel didn't get anything. She had stated his sword and armor was enough for him, which Axel appreciated. Tara had heard some rumors that Axel's sword had been a gift from his parents or something like that. Everyone in the group looked surprised at Freya though. Syrus was actually a little stunned.

"But Freya where did you get the material to make these weapons?" he questioned.

"That is my own secret" she replied and quickly added when she saw Ace's face expression "And I didn't use any duel monsters or any human like sacrifices".

"So where are we going?" Dimitri then asked a little later and looked at Tara.

"Why are you looking at me for?" Tara questioned a little surprised.

"You are our leader" Dimitri replied and grinned. The others nodded, beside Freya.

"But I don't have any experience and stuff" Tara said "Why me?". Axel snort.

"You have your father's leaderships abilities" he pointed out "Not to forget that we are all leaving here tonight because of you. Just follow your heart". Tara sighed and bit her lip a little. They were all waiting for her to make a decision.

"Okay then. We are going to solve the mysteries around Ember's crystal first then" she concluded. Ember and Jesse looked surprised at her.

"Me? My crystal?" Ember questioned "But we just joined. Why me?".

"Well your crystal is the only clue we have now" Tara stated "Atticus's problem can't be solved right away and marching towards Camula's castle without a plan is suicide. Unless Freya have some business that is more important". Tara looked at Freya. She just snort and shook her head. Tara looked at Ember.

"You said you could create fire with the crystal right?" she asked and Ember nodded. Tara continued "That means it is magical of some kind, which means we need a sorcerer to examine it". Freya snort at that and crossed her arms.

"Oh and how are we gonna do that genius" she sneered "Every duel monster who doesn't serve Kagemaru are sealed away inside the sacred beasts". Tara grinned.

"Not all of them" she proclaimed and looked at Syrus "Syrus you still have your contacts out right?". Syrus eyes widened and he quickly nodded.

"You don't mean.." he said surprised and Tara nodded.

"Yeah I mean him Sy" She said and smiled a big wide smile "We are going to a special place in Europe to find one of the most wanted people in the world. Yugi Muto, the king of games".

A,n: Hehe. Hope that was an interesting ending. And Yep the king of games are also in the story. But that is only Yugi. Not Atem/Yami since Yugi sended him to his final rest in the Dm series. If you are wondering why they are seeking Yugi to find a sorcerer, well that is simple. Yugi might not be a sorcerer, but Dark magician and girl are. As for the next chapter, the resistance makes their way towards one of Sy's contacts. In the meantime we focus on Chazz and Adrian a little. Their background story on how they learned swordsmanship and stuff like that. Some other people from the series is shown, as well as a Duel monster Oc. So hope that sounds interesting.
