Of all the scenarios Yuto had predicted inside his head could happen, this one had not been the one. Sure, he had expected Shay would be mad. Maybe even furious, but he never expected he would hit him out in a fit of anger.

"Yuto! What the heck?!" Shay yelled at him furiously "You knew what despicable demon that took my sister from me, and you didn't tell me. Ahr I am so going the kill you now!". However, truth to be told, he deserved that. He deserved that hit. It was not like he hit so hard he could hurt him anyway. Not with brutal fists at least and Yuto praised himself lucky that he hadn't given him any demonic powers, or this would have hurt a lot more.

"I know you are angry Shay, but...".

"Of course, I am angry Yuto!" Shay cut him out in a wild frenzy "How would you feel when you found out one of your siblings were a... a prostitute!". Once again, his rage was understandable and Yuto let out a defeated sigh before he moved away from the wall. If they were going to have this conversation, he was at least going to face him head on. Shay deserved that. That until he noticed the others at the doorstep and suddenly felt embarrassed. Oh, I had been so focused on Shay, that I didn't notice them. How long have they been here? How much have they watched? Why are they here? Yuto sighed deeply inside. He felt like he could crawl inside a mouse hole. This was clearly not the respect a demon prince would receive. That was for sure.

"Yuto..." Gili managed to say, before he interrupted her.

"How long have you been standing there?".

"Since Shay's first outburst" Sorano exclaimed and waved with his hand dismissively "Quite the display of disobedience from your Satan soul, don't you agree?". Yuto shrugged. He was not going to explain that he had given Shay free will to do whatever he wanted. Then Sorano chuckled darkly.

"No worries. Do you seriously think any of us would spill that the second prince of the demon king let himself get beaten up by a Satan soul? Get real" He reassured.

"Hmm, but still, I would like some privacy from all of you" Yuto said "Shay and I have something personal to discuss". Only for Shay to glare at him.

"Privacy? Like you deserve any of that Yuto! Not after you deliberately didn't tell me my sister was here!" he yelled "If you have something to say to me, you can say it in front of everyone where you can't trick me with any demonic spells". At that Yuto sighed deeply. He really should have seen that coming.

"My prince. Am I to be discharged now? Have I fulfilled my services to you?" he could then hear Lulu state as she bowed her head to him in respect "Not that I mind entertaining you all of course, but this many people will cost you a fortune".

"Yeah, I know" Yuto mused and waved with his hand dismissably "You can leave Lulu. I do not need more from you at the moment. You did as I asked". Lulu bowed again to him before she got up and walked past both Yuto, Shay and the others at the doorstep without looking back.

"Lulu!" Shay uttered rather shocked "Come back! I...".

"Let her go Shay" Yuto replied and grabbed his friend's hand "There is a reason I didn't tell you about her. Lulu does not remember you or anything from her former life as human. I didn't want you to get unnecessary hurt".

"Well, that is going great, considering you brought me here anyway" Shay sneered.

"I am sorry. I just couldn't handle you being a mindless servant to me. I wanted you, the real Shay back, and the only way to do so is triggering your memories with something traumatic" Yuto explained with a sigh and took step forward towards Shay. He was soon tip toeing in order to reach Shay because of the height difference. Soon he was stoking his cheek affectionate. "Shay please. Don't be mad at me. I did it so we could be together. You are after all my fated mate".

"I am your what now?!" Shay uttered and pulled away in what looked like disgust.

"You are my fated mate" Yuto repeated slowly "I wanted to tell you this for so long now, but things kept getting in the way. Please Shay. You are the only one I love".

"I don't understand a thing! You force me to relive my trauma with my sister, only to find her here, unchanged and a prostitute!" Shay sneered angrily "And now you are telling me we are fated mates? What does that even mean Yuto?!".

"Everyone in the world is prophecies to be with a special someone. Call it fate or destiny whatever. However, not many people find their special other throughout their lifetimes. That is the reason so many relationships go haywire in the human world" Sorano then coughed out and chuckled a little.

"Oh, like me and Declan?" Gili questioned bewildered.

"Bingo" Sorano said and looked over at Shay "Point is you are apparently Yuto's fated mate. Demons are more akin to find their special someone than humans are you see. Yuto is a demon prince. You should feel honored to be his fated mate".

"I don't care what I am! Yuto still lied to me!" Shay sneered angrily "I will not fall for your demonic tricks any longer. I will not let you spell bound me to your will...".

"But Shay... I have never done that. I would never force you into this relationship".

"Says you who lured me to the demon world and turned me into a Satan soul!" Shay growled fiercely "Admit it! That red head boy was one of your servants. He tricked me into kissing you. You planned everything!". Yuto froze by that statement. It was not because of the audacity that Shay believed he had planned for all this in advance. No that didn't bother Yuto at all. He knew Shay was angry and very confused right now since his memories had awoken so quickly, and he needed time for it all to settle. No what made him surprised, was that Yuri had apparently used Dennis to trick Shay earlier. That explained a thing or two. As human he had been a magician that entertained people. He had been one of the souls Yuya helped without any in return and Zarc later made a Satan soul for Yuri. Sure, Dennis Macfield did not have any demon powers at all, but his transformation enabled him to carry out his magician talents over as a Satan soul. Just like it was with Julia and her crystals.

"If you really believe that Shay..." Yuto took a deep breath to keep his anger in check before continuing "If that really was the case, I would have dragged you to the demon realm way sooner. At the place where we first met...".

"Hmm? At the order? Like you have dared with all the priests around...".

"No! Way earlier Shay!" Yuto interrupted him with in a firm tone "You just gained your memories of the events with your sister. Think back Shay. To the first time we two met all those years ago...".

Flashback.

"But father, why do I have to go with you to this demon ritual? I don't want to!" the eight-year-old Yuto Haouryu complained annoyed as he was carried in the right talon of his father's.

They were on their way to the human world, at a spot where his farther knew a ritual were about to happen. He could hear the demon king chuckle darkly.

"Ah stop complaining my sweet Yuto. It is good learning experience for you".

"But father!" Yuto said and sighed. "I don't like this stuff. Why do we have to do these kind of rituals? The humans have not done us anything!".

"That is exactly why we have to do this Yuto" Zarc growled in displeasure "I am tired of you fainting all the time, because you refuse to eat. I will show you that our deals are means of coexistence between the laws of nature and not something you shouldn't ignore".

"But father!".

"It is not up to discussion! I already asked Celina this favor in seeing her latest conquest in action" Zarc growled fiercely "Consider this mercy Yuto. I could have made you watch the wrath clan's rituals. They are brutal".

"Yes father" Yuto mumbled respectfully.

When his father was like this, there was little that could change his mind.

They were soon at their destined location. A fall down part of some kind of town. Yuto had never been in the human world really, but even he could see this was a rundown part of town. Zarc landed gracefully in his dragon form at some grassy hill, before transforming himself into his human form. Yuto huffed as he landed gracefully on the ground too and began dusting himself off. He hated it when his father carried him like this. He was a proud little dragon himself. However, at the same time, Yuto were lacking energy and Zarc as the caring parent wanted to make sure he was okay.

"What are we doing here father?" Yuto questioned bewildered. He couldn't see any benefits for their kinds here in this run-down part of a town.

"I told you. Celina is preforming a ritual here for tonight" Zarc said and took his little hand in his as they began walking down towards the town.

"Oh, but I thought that only the Envy, Pride and Wrath clan were in need of rituals" Yuto questioned bewildered. He could hear his father laugh now.

"True, but in some cases, there are exceptions" Zarc responded "You see Celina sensed one of her fated mates here and asked me for permission to get it".

"Ah, that's how Celina agreed to have us here to witness the ritual, isn't it father?". He could hear how Zarc were chuckling again, before he ruffled up in his hair. He didn't say anything. Not that he needed to. Yuto understood completely, so instead he asked:

"What kind of deal did she make then?".

"Their family were having difficulties surviving the winter. One of their children were sick if I recall. Celina provided them that security of warmth, food and shelter for years to come" Zarc responded with "Oh and healed the children of course".

Yuto hummed at that. Considering the place this town was in, Celina must have given them the bare necessities of survival and nothing else. A stroke of lightning could be seen from afar and hit a certain roof top a bit away.

"We better get going or we will miss most of the ritual" Zarc responded and dragged a reluctant Yuto with him.

Yuto hated every bit of this. He really did. He hated that they had to do this to anyone really. Humans and demons alike. His brother Yuri believed he was going too soft, while Yuya were agreeing on his philosophy. That said Yuya did have a huge scolding by their dad in the past. Yuto figured this was his. Or at least he was having a field trip with his dad, which sometimes was better or worse considering the activities they were doing. This was clearly one of the worse. He had to watch as Celina tormented this poor family. Zarc were whispering in the background. Telling him their justified reason for doing those, but all Yuto saw was bullying someone who was weaker than them. He was about to tell his father that, when suddenly the door to this little house opened up and a boy, maybe a year or two older than he was, entered the home with a distressed expression.

"I saw the lightning, Mom, Dad are you okay?".

Yuto were staring in awe at the newcomer. Besides that, he was extremely good looking, Yuto's heart were racing and beating like crazy. It was like his whole world brightened up followed by unquenching pain because he wanted to be near him. He wanted to hold his hand. Maybe even more. All he knew was that he wanted to be by this boy's side.

"Shay, we told you to stay put" Yuto could hear his parents say.

Yuto's heart fluttered even more by that statement. His name was Shay? That was the most beautiful name in the whole wide world. He was already having fluctuating thoughts on how it would sound, when this boy, this Shay, said his voice.

"Oh, who is this? He looks cute" He could then suddenly hear Celina say, which made Yuto's whole world crash.

He remembered the ritual and Celina, who wanted this family's child. Was this Shay the one? Were they going to take this boy away from him? No! He was not going to let them! One problem though. His father was not letting him.

"Yuto? I told you to stay put and not interrupt the ritual!".

He had grabbed his arm the minute he left the shadows, but , but Yuto was fighting him like hell. Like a ferocious dragon actually.

"But father... they are going to take him away. I can't let them!".

"Hu? Him? What are you talking about?" Zarc uttered rather confused. He was now having a tight grasp in the collar of his clothes. "Celina is only interested in girls".

That made Yuto stop op. His eyes flickered to the girl who was hiding beside her mother. Celina was really looking at her with a hungry gaze and relief washed over him for a second. They were not going to take him away.

"Papa! Papa please! I want him! Can't we take him with us? Please!".

"Hu? Yuto?" Zarc looked bewildered at him. Then his eyes flickered to the boy who was now trying to prevent the exchange from happening. "You really interested in that boy, aren't you? This is so unlike you".

"Please Papa! Please let me go!" Yuto whined in a begging tone "I will be good. I will do anything you ask. Please just let me have him. Please".

He could feel like how his father were actually sniffing the air for a sec, before he placed Yuto down on the ground. He was tapping his head lightly, before firing a blast at the room. Creating a distraction for this Shay to grab his sister and run away as fast as they could.

"Go get him Yuto my sweet" his father then encouraged.

"You! You were there!" Shay hissed in disbelief "You were there, and you did nothing! They took Lulu away!". Yuto shrugged casually.

"I could not change the fact that your parents made a deal with Celina" Yuto replied to him with "Besides, she is one of Celina's fated mates. If I prevented her from getting her, who knows what she would have done. Demons can be extremely vicious when it comes to their fated mate. Be happy that I was there that day Shay".

"What do you mean by that?!" Shay hissed annoyed.

"Celina is the leader of the lust clan. She takes interest in people who she sees as pretty. Had I not intervened that day, you would have joined Lulu in this kind of life" Yuto explained and sighed.

He took some steps forward to lessen the distance between them even further. Soon he was rubbing circles in the palm of Shay's right hand. Then he flickered with his right hand and just like a piece of glass, something broke around Shay and a certain mark appeared in his hand. It was a mark of a dragon in a black and purple color. Shay were staring in disbelief at him.

"You... You marked me? Since when?" the boy uttered.

"Since the beginning. You are My fated mate Shay, but I kept your mark hidden with my illusion powers all these years" Yuto explained. Sadness and pain were shown in the tone of his voice "That day I could have taken you. Just as Celina did hers, but I... You looked so scared. It pained me so much to see you in such distress that I let you go. I wanted you to fall in love with me on your own, and by fate at the order it happened. Please Shay, don't be mad at me. I love you so much".

"Well, I do not reciprocate your feelings Yuto!" Shay snort back in a fierce tone "How can I when you lied to me and kept secrets from me". Then without warning he turned around and began walking out of the room. All which surprised Yuto a lot.

"Shay, where are you going?!".

"Out, and don't try to follow me". Then he left, leaving a very miserable Yuto behind.

A,N: And cut. That was a wrap. Or so I hope. Who knew that Shay was Yuto's mate from way back then, but that Yuto let him go?! Wonder if that is a good decision or not? Oh well, Shay didn't exactly take the whole thing well now did he? In the next chapter, not sure if I should even make one since barely anyone reads it, but I believe the next chapter will be with Shay meeting a certain demon stranger actually.
