"Ahr! Ahr! Ahr!".

It was from those screams Sorano woke up from, as he was groggily looking around while trying to figure out what was going on. His eyes widened in horrors as those sounds ruining his night sleep were in fact screams. And not just any screams, but they were coming from his bedmate. Or room mate might be more accurate as he was sleeping on the futon at the floor while Gili was having the only bed in the room. Sorano was a gentleman after all. That and a demon with honor. No woman should sleep on the floor on his watch.

"Gili! Gili!" Sorano stirred up from the floor as he rushed over to the bed, and began shaking the screaming girl awake "Gili, Gili it is only a nightmare".

The girl stirred in her sleep and almost headbutted him, hadn't he managed to move. She looked completely out of it as she were trying to catch her breath. Sweat was even on her forehead. Sorano tried tapping her shoulder in some sort of comfort, and at first it did seem to work. But then...

"Where is Declan? Where is my Declan? Tell me! I need to find him!" she yelled up.

"Shh, shh it is okay. It was a nightmare..." Sorano tried to reassure but got pushed away as Gili frantically began leaving the bed.

"I need to find him! I just do! I have to go!" Gili uttered as she began getting her shoes on and were going to get her jacket on the stool in here, but Sorano didn't let her. He was blockading the way to the door out of the room.

"Oh no little missy. Not so fast. Where to exactly?" he asked in a firm tone.

"To the demon realm. Declan needs me!" Gili uttered fiercely and were fighting like crazy when Sorano grabbed her and pinned her to the floor.

"Let me go! Let me go you brute!" Gili shouted fiercely as she fought him like crazy.

"Not until you calmed down and thinking rationally" Sorano sneered and were happy Gili was only a human or those attacks might hurt more "Remember, the demon realm is dangerous. Even for us demons. If you as humans go unprepared. That was why we decided to go in three days...".

"No! No! We can't wait that long. Declan, my Declan needs me!" Gili uttered as tears were suddenly shown in her eyes "If we don't go now, it will be too late, and Declan... they, they are torturing him! You got to believe me Sorano!".

"Tortured?! What do you mean by tortured...?" Sorano wanted to ask more into this, hadn't it been from the door almost blasting off, and Kite Tenjo rushed in here with lifted sword and readiness shown in his eyes.

"I heard screaming! Who is the son of a bastard I have to kill!" Kite yelled up at first until he saw the weird scene in front of him. His eyes widened in surprise.

"Why are you pinning the lady to the floor?" Kite then hissed "Are you taking advantage of her being demon and all. I don't care about you being her boyfriend's friend. I will kill you!". Sorano hissed as he let go of Gili. She was a crying mess and surprisingly didn't go for the door.

"It is really not the time Kite" Sorano snort out "She was having a nightmare and demanded to go save Declan. What was I supposed to do?".

"Let her go. Lady Gili is the descendant of Ray. You cannot keep her from going" Kite snort as he redrew his sword "Sure, without Harmonics and Declan she cannot activate her powers completely, but she will still gain insight". Sorano growled annoyed as he sat down on the bed edge.

"She says Declan is getting tortured" he then said "Don't you think I would have gone if I could? But no one knows where Declan is kept. Herk and the ninjas are looking for him as we speak. All I can do is honor Declan's last request and protect his lover". Kite snort firmly at that.

"Well opening a portal and letting us go to the demon realm is a start" he then said "Gili and Declan are connected by fate. If anyone can find him it is her".

"I told you all already. I can't. Only a highly skilled Demon can create portals. Sure, I can teleport in and out of the realm. I can even take one with me, but that's about it. Besides, the pride clan would know instantly I was back and surround me. We need the only opened portal for all of us to travel through or we might as well put up a sign and say, 'here we are'".

"Then we need to find it fast" Kite snort out and clenched his fists "I should have gone with them. I should have escorted the lady and her boyfriend home. Then I could have stopped him from getting kidnapped".

"Yeah right. What can you and that toothpick do?" Sorano snort as he pointed at the sword in his scabbard "Yuto told me about the doctor and the galaxy eyes monster he kept there. Now that the dragon is free, your sword holds no power to slay us".

"It is still a holy weapon!" Kite sneered "You should be grateful I am here. Aura told me my destiny was to protect Gili. So that is what I will do".

"Thanks Kite" Gili then suddenly said and rubbed her tear-filled eyes "But I... I will still go to the demon realm. A boy that looks a lot like Yuto is hurting him".

"Yuri?!" Sorano uttered "Are you saying Declan is kept at the royal palace?".

"I don't know, and I don't care. I am going" Gili uttered determined.

"How? We don't know where the portal is" Sorano snort out.

"I do and so do you" Gili then stated firmly.

Time skip.

"Why didn't any of you tell me the portal to the demon realm is here?!" Sorano hissed in pure anger as he shuffled Crow into the wall with a hard push.

Beside him was the entourage who had surprisingly decided to go with Gili and couldn't be swayed otherwise. Those people were of course Kite, who had just appeared at the café and demanded to go. Something with that their oracle told him he should be here. Then there were of course Yuto, who needed to go home anyway. He was the prince. That and he needed to speak with Yuri. After he found out that Yuri were having Declan and were the leader of the rebellion, nothing really could stop him. And where Yuto goes so did Shay and their friends Allen and Saya. Yuto just couldn't change their minds since they were his friends and wanted to help. Especially Shay.

"Oh, so you found out hu?" Crow remarked in a cold tone. "I had hoped we could avoid the violence, by keep you in the dark".

"Why?! When you all know exactly that Declan Akaba is taken!" Sorano hissed in pure anger. His fist collided with Crow's gut and made the fallen angel gasp in pain.

"You don't understand..." Crow groaned slightly as he tried to defend himself.

He didn't manage since Sorano began to beat him up like crazy. His temper got the best of him so to speak, and it was only because of Jack and Shinji grabbing him that Crow survived the brutal beating.

"If you have a problem, deal with me instead of Crow" Jack demanded as he placed himself in between the demon now as a shield "After all I am the legal guardian of the demon portal. That was the fate He deemed me with".

"What the heck are you talking about?!" Sorano sneered and who properly would have fought Jack too, hadn't it been for Yuto stepping in.

"It is my father isn't it? He cursed you" Yuto said slowly "I do remember the day you arrived and wanted an audience with him. I had been young at that time, but I still remember the radiance of an angel. You tried a bargain...".

"Yes, but it was not as you think. Ray, your mother is an angel and wanted so badly to see Zarc... I felt sorry for her and delivered a letter" Jack began and sighed "Things went downhill from there, since the demon king had shut his heart around her. Even the word of her name made him furious, and he cursed me before we even could bargain at all. I am placed as the sole guardian of the fallen to protect the portal He created as he sent me through the barriers of the dimensions. That is how great his power is. We just wanted to keep you safe".

"From my father?" Yuto questioned puzzled "But I am sure he will listen to me...".

"If you get to the royal palace alive" Shinji pointed out and shook his head "It is a trap. Yuri has already allowed you all passageway to the realm through his own portal. He wants you there. If you go, we cannot guarantee your safety...".

"I still risk it" Gili replied in a firm tone as they all were looking at her determined face "Declan has already helped me more than I can count. I will return the favor".

"If you are sure" Crow replied and groaned. A tiny pill box appeared in his hand "Eat those when you get there. Humans cannot survive long in that realm without them".

"Thanks!" Sorano mused and took them "But I still won't forgive you for keeping us here for three days. Declan is my friend, and he needs my help".

The group found the portal, or portals, in the basement of the pub, which put them in quite a situation. The one creating the portal would know instantly when someone traveled through it. They understood why Yuri had opened a portal. All to trap them, but why didn't Zarc shut his, Sorano wondered as they were staring down the portals.

"My father couldn't" Yuto replied almost as responds to his thoughts "The rage he used that day. Even he couldn't close the portal. Or so he says. Maybe deep down he was keeping it open so my mother could come through... who knows. Jack didn't lie when he said my father has shut his heart. We children were the only light he had...".

"That is why I need to speak with him. I have a message from Ray" Gili said slowly.

"But without Harmonics, can you?" Yuto questioned "You need Declan to even access it. Maybe we should go through Yuri's portal. That way my father doesn't know about your arrival...".

"But Yuri would know of your existence Yuto" Sorano replied "He will kill you...".

"We could split up. Take a portal each" Allen then suggested "Then...".

"No! it would be even harder to survive" Sorano responded and sighed. He turned towards Gili "You are the reason we are here Gili. You decide". Gili hummed as she looked at the two portals. Then she went through the green and dark one.

Deserted rock formatted landscape meets the group as they went through the portal. It was nothing new for Sorano since he was used to the desolated terrain. However, regardless what it was still home. He could see how Gili and the other humans were looking in awe as they took in their surroundings.

"Well that is interesting" Allen then said as he swallowed the pill Sorano gave him.

"It is so desolated and death" Saya said and shuttered "There is barely any life and I feel weak...". Yuto sighed deeply at that as he gave Saya her pill.

"That is my home. Don't worry it gets more bearable over time. The royal city is prettier" He said as he took a deep breath of air "I already feel rejuvenated".

"And where is my Declan...?" Gili questioned as she frantically looked around.

"The royal city is my best guess" Yuto said slowly "Yuri is crafty, but not stupid. He would keep his prey close, where he doesn't have to sneak out...".

"Well then let's get going, before anything happens" Kite suggested as he took a step forward, when something suddenly wrapped around his feet and send him flying through the air.

Or so they thought, as a monster, an almost white skeleton dragon emerged. Kite was dangling from its white long tail, and were fighting like crazy to get free, but without any resolve.

"Well, well look what we have here" The dragon chuckled as his scaled face were now looking down upon all of them. "Master Yuri was right. You would choose this portal. The demon kings. Just as he predicted".

Sorano hissed as he prepared himself for battle, but surprisingly the dragon turned his attention to the one it had just caught. Kite were still struggling like crazy in the grip of the dragon. His eyes were filled with rage, that made Sorano yearn for the food he could give him.

"Well long time no see Kite. I didn't think you would be so foolish in joining them" The dragon then spoke as they both now were eye to eye.

"Hello father" Kite hissed back in an angry tone "Today is the day I will kill you and get Hart's soul back".

A,N: Well that was that chapter. Not my best work, but not terrible either. But yes, Kite is the first to battle in this. Not totally sure how yet, but I will get there. Might switch between this story and my other stories, but not completely sure.
