So this is the second time I'm attempting a Yugioh story and I honestly don't know if any of you are actually interested in this story, but I wanna at least give it another shot! So let's meet our protagonist and other elite duelists!

Name: Akira Hoshi

Age: 17

Hair Color: Black, with a purple streak

Eye Color: Purple

Deck: Lunalights

Ace Monster: Lunalight Leo Dancer

Specialist: Fusion

Likes: Dueling, His Duel Spirits, giving it his all in his schoolwork, music, being alone.

Dislikes: Crowds, people insulting his deck, people looking down upon him, being asked questions.

Duel Disk (Before Academy):

A beat up and worn Duel Disk that Akira has had since he was a kid.

Duel Disk (Academy):

A purple shield shaped Duel Disk that is used by every student at Vanguard Duel Academy.

Bio: Akira Hoshi was never seen as much by other people, this has led to him being rather meek and choosing to avoid social interaction. Akira was also bullied for using Lunalights, an archetype that consists of female warrior dancers with animal features. Akira despite his quietness is a formidable duelist that devastates the battlefield with his powerful Fusion Monsters. Akira has recently been offered a spot at Vanguard Duel Academy, the most elite of Duel Schools. Akira also has the power to talk with his cards Duel Spirits and visit the Duel Monster Spirit World in his sleep.

Eye Color: Green

Deck: Blackwings

Ace Monster: Blackwing Armor Master

Specialist: Synchro

Likes: Dueling, winning, showing off, collecting feathers, the Academy, being the center of attention.

Dislikes: Losing, people who don't deserve to be at the academy, her thunder being stolen, cheating.

Duel Disk:

A black shield shaped Duel Disk that is used by everyone at Vanguard Duel Academy.

Bio: Layla Knight is one of Vanguard Duel Academy's top students and the Synchro Specialist. Layla is confident in her abilities to the point where it comes off as arrogance. Layla dominates the Duel with her Blackwings that swarm the field. Layla doesn't like Akira as she thinks he has no right to be at the Academy given that he was just some random underground Duelist. Despite her tough nature, Layla does have a caring side that she only shows to people she cares about.

Name: Gavin Brown

Age: 17

Hair Color: Blue

Eye Color: Brown

Deck: Wind-Up

Ace Monster: Wind-Up Zenmaister

Specialist: XYZ

Likes: Toys, candy, dueling, hanging out with friends, parties, anything exciting.

Dislikes: Homework, class, lectures, sitting still, anything boring.

Duel Disk:

A green shield shaped Duel Disk that everyone at Vanguard Duel Academy uses.

Bio: Gavin is a rather high energy individual that enjoys collecting action figures and Dueling. This is reflected in his Deck as the Wind-Up monsters resemble wind-up toys. Gavin tends to get bored easily and hates to sit still. Although don't let his childish personality fool you, when Dueling, Gavin proves why he earned the position of the XYZ Specialist. Gavin is curious of Akira as he's never met someone so reclusive.
