After returning back from Texas, Yudhi wanted to talk to Arohi, but decided to wait till she finishes her course and returns back home. He wanted to have a straight talk with her and find out what she has in her mind and if she has the same feelings he has for her.

He didn't want all the love talk to disturb her studies, so he decided to wait till her return. He very much wanted to be there at the airport when she returned back from Texas, but he couldn't as his seminar in Florida got extended and his team was banking on him to win the project.

Finally he was back from Florida and was looking forward to meet Arohi, but didn't expect her to show up at the airport. He felt so happy seeing her that he wanted to hug and kiss her right there, but Kat was around and he didn't want to embarrass himself or Arohi. He wasn't sure, if she still has some reservation against him. He was still wary of her dual personality and decided to tread carefully till he gets a chance to discuss all issues with her.

Also Kat was acting weird since the last two weeks. Though first, working with her closely felt awkward, he got used to it. She is a really beautiful girl, but once he realized he is in love with Arohi and she told him about her love for Roger, he felt at ease and there have been no issues. But since the last fifteen days, he sensed something changed in her. He knew she has been fighting with Roger, but that was common between them, so he didn't pay much attention to it. Though in the beginning he dismissed the changes as coincidental, he is more aware now and increased his guard.

Since they both have been working closely for some time now, they do come into contact with each other often, but as friends it didn't matter, as the contacts were brief and lasted only for milliseconds, but now he started feeling the change as her hands try to linger on him for those additional seconds, that crosses the friendly line. She tried to give him back massage twice and almost kissed him once. He decided to have a talk with her first to clear the air, as he didn't want to loose a good friend and colleague.

While returning from airport, when Yudhi dropped Kat at her home, she reminded him about the party and whispered in his ear about some surprise and tried to kiss him again. Yudhi was very alert and moved his head in time to avoid the kiss. For a few minutes he was afraid if Arohi saw that, but was sure she would say something if she saw Kat's attempt to kiss him. That was a close save and he needs to fix the issue with Kat as soon as possible.

Meanwhile his boss called and he didn't get a chance to talk to Arohi. He thought it was better to fix the issue with Kat before talking to Arohi, then he would be able to explain in case she saw anything and they both can start a new page in life without any unresolved issues and doubts about each other.

Yudhi wasn't interested in going to the party, as Arohi was home. He went because he wanted to thank the team and also settle the issue with Kat. Sharply at 7 PM Kat came and picked him up for the party.

At the party Yudhi kept track of his consumption of alcohol. He did two rounds of shots and stuck to beer. Kat on the other hand was drunk and looked nervous.

"Kat, can we go now, it's almost 11 PM." Yudhi pulled her aside.

"Sure Yudhi, can you drive? "

"Yes, let's go." Yudhi thanked every one for the party and then helped Kat to the car.

After reaching Kat's home.

"Kat we are home. Can you go on your own?" Yudhi asked Kat after reaching her house.

"Yudhi can you come with me please. I don't want to be alone. Please spend some time with me and then go."

"Ok, lets go." Yudhi was hoping to discuss Kat's behavior.

Kat was not steady, so Yudhi had to hold her and lead the way. She walked straight to kitchen and opened the fridge and took a six pack beer out.

"Kat are you kidding! You are already drunk" Yudhi tried to take away the beer from her hands.

"Nooo....its just beer. Lets sit outside and drink." She opened the backyard door and stepped out. She kicked her heels and sat by edge of the pool with her feet in the water. She patted the floor by her side, "Yudhi come sit here."

"Ok girl, what's going on with you?" Yudhi asked her sitting by her side and taking a sip from his beer.

"I broke up with Roger."

"Why? What happened?" Yudhi asked

"Long story Yudhi. Do you need something to eat with the beer? I think there should be some chicken wings in the fridge." She got up and started walking towards the kitchen.

"Where is everybody? Is anyone else at home?"

"Nope, just you and me. My parents are on a vacation and Kim is in Hawaii." She turned and replied Yudhi, but then lost her balance and fell into the pool.

"Damn Kat, you are drunk. Are you ok?" Yudhi rushed over to her to pull her out of the pool.

"Don't worry Yudhi, I have been swimming in this pool since I was 2 years old. Please grab a towel for me from the towel rack over there." She pointed towards the towel rack over other side of the pool.

After making sure she was safe and not on the deep end side, Yudhi walked over to the towel rack and picked up a towel and turned around.

By that time Kat climbed out of the pool and as Yudhi was walking towards her, she reached behind and unzipped her wet dress and dropped it to the floor.

"Wait, what are you doing?" Yudhi tried to reach her before she did anything, but Kat dropped her bra and panties and stood naked before him.

Yudhi quickly wrapped the towel around her.

"Common Yudhi, am I that ugly that you don't want to see me naked?" she pushed Yudhi onto a pool chair and sat on him straddling him.

"Kat, we need to talk before you do anything stupid." Yudhi put his hands around her, so that her towel remains in place. Yudhi felt that she was completely drunk and was not in a position to make any sane decisions.

Kat bent down and retrieved her phone from the floor. When Yudhi realized she was planning to take a selfie sitting on him, he tried to grab the phone from her hands. In the fight for the phone her towel fell down and she managed to click a selfie.

"Kat, are you crazy? What are you trying to do?"

"I need to send that bastard this, so that he knows what he is missing." She was trying to send it to Roger and Yudhi was trying to grab the phone from her hands. Finally he was able to snatch the phone from her, but wasn't sure if she managed to send out the selfie.

"Did you plan this? What are you trying to accomplish Kat?" Yudhi asked her covering her with towel again.

"Yes, I am your surprise. I am giving myself to you as a present. Please make love to me. I think I am in love with you." Kat held his face in her hands and spoke looking into his eyes.

"Ok honey, listen carefully. You are very beautiful and any man in my position would have to hate himself to reject such an awesome present. First we both are colleagues and also very good friends, so both of us are going to regret tomorrow, if we end up doing this. Secondly, I am in love with someone else and cannot do this injustice to her. Thirdly, I know you are in still in love with Roger and if you want to take revenge on Roger, there are many other ways I can help you with, than this act. So please listen to me and let me know what is bothering you." Yudhi spoke looking into her eyes and caressing her back.

After listening to Yudhi, Kat couldn't hold her tears anymore and all the pain she kept bottled up inside came out. She put her head on his shoulder and started crying.

"Its ok Kat, don't worry, I will be with you and help you to get through this." He started rubbing her back and consoling her.

"Me and Roger decided long back to remain celibate till we get settled in life and get engaged, but Roger has been putting pressure on me for the last one year to start doing it, since he is all settled now, but I wanted to wait till I get into this NASA project. We have been fighting over it for quite some time now and it got so worse that we stopped talking to each other. Then one day he saw me with you somewhere and then called me over phone and shouted all kind of things. After that, I went over to his home to explain about us and offer him what he wanted, but I found this girl at his home and she started cursing and shouting at me calling me unfaithful. When I questioned her relationship with Roger, she said that she was his new girlfriend and they are doing it and asked me to get lost. Since then, I am going through this depression. I loved him since high school and have never been with anyone, how can he do this to me?" she started crying again and Yudhi held her close to him and tried to console her by rocking her back and forth like a baby.

After almost fifteen minutes, Yudhi realized that Kat was sleeping, so he picked her up and carried her to her bedroom and placed her on the bed. He thought of going back to home, but didn't feel like leaving her naked like that, so went through her closet and picked up a nightgown and managed to put it on her. He then went into the living room and started going over the events to make sure if there was something he could have done different. Suddenly he realized that the selfie she took was still on her phone and probably in Roger's inbox.

He went back to the pool and picked up the phone and since he knew her password, he logged in and deleted the picture. He then checked her text messages to Roger to see if she had already sent it, but couldn't find it there. He wanted to check other accounts to see if she mistakenly sent it to any other person as they were fighting for the phone at the time, but felt he was invading too much of her privacy and hit the off button.

He heard a ringing sound and realized that instead of the power button he hit the call tab and Roger's phone was ringing on the other side. Before he could hit the power button again, Roger picked up the phone on other side.

"Hello! Hello Kat..is that you? Are you okay?"

"Hey Roger, this is Yudhi. I am really sorry, didn't mean to disturb you at this hour..."

Roger cut him off midway " What the hell are you doing at this hour with her phone? You better stay away from her and if you hurt her in any way, I won't spare you." Roger sounded very angry.

"Hey, I am just her friend and you are the one who hurt her." Yudhi shouted back.

"Excuse me! You are the one who is meddling with our life. We were doing fine before you came." He screamed back.

"Ok Roger, if you still love her and want to discuss these accusations in detail, why don't you come over to Kat's home now. I am here now and will wait for you." Yudhi believed it was always better to discuss in person than on phone when matters of heart are involved.

After 15 mintes.

Roger arrived at Kat's home and knocked on the door.

Yudhi opened the door and let him inside.

"Where is Kat?" Roger asked seriously.

"She is drunk and sleeping" Yudhi took him upstairs and showed him Kat, who was sleeping peacefully.

Roger went close to her and kneeled by her head and watched her for few minutes and then came back to Yudhi, who was standing by the doorway.

"Hmm.. looks like you are still in love with her." Yudhi said to Roger.

"Dammit...ofcourse I love her. If not for you, we would have been a couple by now."

"I told you, I am just a friend. Never touched her in any other way. She is still as pure as she was on the day you first met her. She told me, it was you who is cheating on her." Yudhi picked up more beer from the kitchen and led the way to the pool.

"You got to be kidding me ... why would she say anything like that. I never cheated on her. I was waiting for her to realize her mistake and come back to me." Both of them settled down on chairs and started drinking beer. Roger felt comfortable with Yudhi after hearing from him that there was nothing going on between him and Kat.

Yudhi explained to Roger, the incident Kat told him about the girl in Roger's room.

"OMG! seriously I didn't know that she came to my room. OMG Megan! she never told me that Kat came and they both fought about it. Megan, she is a distant cousin if mine, she was mad that Kat hurt me and must have made up the story about us having an affair, just to hurt Kat. Seriously, she is my cousin and is in college. She is staying with us to save on her college costs. I was acting all depressed at the time, thinking there was something going on between you two, as she was spending all the time with you and I told Megan all about it." Roger held his head in his hands and started cursing himself.

"Don't worry bro, its all sorted out now. We just need to convince her, once she wakes up." Yudhi was happy that Roger actually cares about Kat and it was all a big miscommunication.

"Lets go downstairs, I need something heavy." Roger stood up and pulled Yudhi by his hand to the basement.

"What's there in the basement?"

"Oh! all the good stuff. I spent more time in Kat's house than mine, so I know all the secrets. Her dad keeps all the good stuff here."

There was a nice wet bar in the basement. Roger went behind the bar and gathered all the ingredients he needed and started making drinks for him and Yudhi. He was a specialist and knew all kind of cocktails.

Yudhi never had so many different kind of cocktails in his life. He started liking Roger and enjoyed his company and they sort of became best friends over night. They completely forgot about Kat and started discussing their life experiences, college life and sports.

Almost 2 hours passed and Yudhi and Roger were still drinking and laughing when they suddenly noticed that Kat was standing and glaring at both of them.

"Hey Kat, how are you feeling? Want to join us?" Yudhi asked.

She was still glaring at Roger and Roger was looking at Yudhi for rescue.

"Ok, don't kill him! I know you want to." Yudhi knew she was angry at Roger and was wondering what he is doing here.

"Mmm.." she moved her head saying yes.

"Ok, before you do, you may want to know that the girl you talked to at Roger's home is his cousin Megan and she was mad at you for hurting Roger, hence she lied to you to make you mad." Yudhi tried to get it fast before she starts kicking Roger.

"Kat, I am really sorry for being mad at you and Yudhi. Me and Yudhi talked and I completely understand your project and your busy schedule now and more than anything Yudhi is a very good friend and am happy that you are working with him. I love you baby." Roger spoke with emotion and looked at her.

Kat ran and jumped into his lap and both started kissing and making out.

Yudhi felt at unease as Roger and Kat were frantically kissing and feeling out each other, as he was not sure if his presence was required there anymore.

"Guys, I think my job here is done. I will leave now and talk to you guys later." Yudhi got up and started towards the door.

"Thanks bro, I understand, unless you want to watch rest of the show." Roger waved to Yudhi.

"Ewww...shutup Roger, Thanks Yudhi, I owe you a big one." Kat shouted as Yudhi stepped out.

Yudhi decided to walk home as he was pretty much drunk to drive and it would take forever to get a cab at 4:00 AM in the morning.
