Yudhi stood there watching Arohi disappear into the security check queue.

He felt like crashing into the queue, find her, hug and kiss her and make her his own.

He forced himself to control the urge, as there were two cops in the front, fully armed and ready to shoot.

He couldn't believe she played him all along. He waited till he was certain she was on the flight and then slowly made it to the parking lot.

He sat inside the car thinking about the times he spent with Arohi and the close encounters they had with each other. He felt he could spend his entire life just reminiscing the memories about their encounters, the electrifying touch of her skin, the smell of her perfume, feel of her long silky hair and her cute puppy face. He couldn't imagine his feelings and joy, if he can have her forever, it would be like conquering Mount Everest.

He would have to wait three months to see her again. "Aah! three months of pain and torture." He thought.

As he slowly started weaving through traffic, the logical part of his brain took control over the romantic part and he started thinking "Why now? Why did she tell me now that there was no boyfriend? If there was no boyfriend in New Jersey, then what was she doing that day in New Jersey, the day he met her for the first time and lost his heart and soul to her. How convenient for her to say those words and disappear for three months."

All his brainstorming led to only one conclusion - that she is not interested in him and wanted to keep him at a distance, hence she lied about the boyfriend.

But the few intimate moments he spent with her, he felt different. He could feel her body wanting to merge with his own and the way her lips trembled, the way their heartbeats were in sync, he was sure she wanted him as much as he wanted her. She cannot deny the chemistry between them and he was one who had to control himself from taking it to next level.

Every time he felt like he lost her, she comes back with a bang and gives him hope. It's like living and dying multiple times and each time it happens, it takes lot of effort for him to remove her from his system and get back on the horse again and concentrate on his work. Now she did it again, gave him hope but vanished to college for three months. Meanwhile he needs to survive, work and deliver on a very important project for the future of mankind.

He needs to get off the rollercoaster and get back to work. She is never going to give him a chance to express his love and he can't approach her on his own if she keeps on creating imaginary boyfriends.

"Only God knows how this is going to end." He decided to work her out of his system and concentrate on his work.

Meanwhile Arohi sat on the plane daydreaming and playing the last few hours of her life in loopback mode. She couldn't bear the pain in Yudhi's eyes when he hugged her and wanted to come clean and undo the lies of the past few days. She didn't know how to untangle herself from the web of lies she herself created. She wished she could go back in time and fix all the issues between them, but you get to live your life only once. Wished she had access to the time travel thingy.

She didn't plan to tell him about the fake NJ boyfriend so soon, but it just came out and now she is not sure what Yudhi might be thinking about her.

"Is he happy that there is no boyfriend or angry at me for lying to him?" I guess she has no way to know the truth and has to wait for 3 months. She could call him, but matters of heart should be dealt face-to-face looking into each other's eyes.

"Am I in love with him or is it just infatuation?" She kept on thinking. "I need to figure out my feelings for him before I do anything stupid. So I am going to maintain radio silence for three months and see if I can forget Yudhi. If after three months I am convinced I am in love with him, I will do anything to make him fall in love with me." She decides and convinces herself that it is the best approach for now.

Finally she reaches her destination.

"Hey Aru! Missed you honey." Kim came running and hugged her.

"Me too. How was your journey girls?" Karuna came over and they were in a group hug.

"Actually I am mad at you." Kim made a pouty face.

"Why ?"

"Check your phone baby."

"OMG! sorry honey it was in silent mode." Arohi checked her phone and noticed 5 missed calls.

"Ok, first let me call my mom and then will make it up to you."

Arohi called her mom and let her know she reached safely and also asked her to update Yudhi.

"How are you going to make it up to me?" It better be good.

Arohi told them the entire story of her journey, starting from home.

"Hmm...so you are saying that when you are with Yudhi, we all don't matter to you anymore." Kim rolled her eyes.

"Common guys ... please don't give me hard time. I love you guys so much." Arohi pleaded and then they all started laughing.

One month passed away quickly for everyone but for Arohi, as she was still struggling with memories of Yudhi. He started popping up in her dreams without notice, even bothering her during classes and lab sessions. She was trying her best to keep him under control.

Arohi, Kim and Karuna were having coffee at Startbucks after a full day of lectures and hospital duties.

"Arohi, it has been more than one month, so did you decide - love or infatuation?" Karuna questioned her moving her eyes up and down.

"Did you take him out of your system and trash him?" Kim asked.

"I wish. I am trying to get over him and you both keep on reminding him to me. Can we not talk about him?" Arohi almost shouted at them. She was almost at war with herself because of Yudhi and the pressure from her friends was too much for her to handle.

She wondered how Yudhi divided her into two parts - heart vs brain. Her heart wants something, but her brain wants logical solutions.

Love is illogical, adults act so stupid, childish and crazy when they are in love, so it is almost impossible for her brain to accept it.

"Common accept defeat and call him. Please .. please." Karuna started making kissing noises.

"No, I won't. I can never do that."

"You are unnecessarily complicating things Arohi." Kim cautioned.

"I know, I can't help it. It is who I am and anyone who wants me has to accept it."

Just then bunch of their batch mates started showing up.

"Look at Raj, he changed so much and now has his own posse." Kim said looking at their classmate Raj leading a bunch of classmates into the store.

Arohi turned around and looked at her batch mates.

"Sh*t, he is coming straight at us, Arohi watch out" Kim knew Raj had a crush on Arohi and had approached her multiple times in the past.

"Hi Arohi" he said to Arohi and waved at Kim and Karuna.

"Hey Raj, how are you doing?"

Raj kneeled by Arohi's chair and moved close to her body.

"Doing good, how about you?" Raj stared at her as her perfume hit him and set his body on fire.

"Good, what's up?" Arohi felt uncomfortable having him so close and staring at her.

"I need to talk to you. Please take a walk with me." Raj whispered.

"Ok" Arohi was actually thankful for the idea as she can put some distance between them.

"I will catch up with you girls later" she told Kim and Karuna and took her purse and followed Raj onto the terrace.

Raj went up to the far end and leaned on the terrace overlooking the campus. They had a beautiful view of the campus from there.

"So what's going on Arohi, just wanted to catch up with you." Raj said looking at the campus.

"Nothing, usual stuff. Just waiting eagerly for the course to end, so that I can move back to my place."

"Really, I am not looking forward to it. I wish we had more time to spend at the university."

"What! Are you kidding ? After so many years, you still want to spend more time here."

"Yes, because I can see you daily. It makes me happy."

"Oh! Well we can meet after college, but you need to understand things could be different."

"Arohi, you know how I feel about you. In the past when I approached you, your answer was always the same."

I am sorry Raj, we came here to study and I am going to concentrate on that and nothing else. And sorry I don't believe in love and stuff like that. I will think about it after I achieve my goal of becoming a doctor .

"So I waited patiently for the course to finish, and now, we are almost there. So please tell me what do I need to do to get your attention. Do you want me to speak to your parents or you want my parents to speak to your parents. Please give my love a chance to prove to you that I care about you and am ready to do anything to make you happy." Raj was looking into her eyes searching for answer.

Arohi was dumbstruck. She anticipated Raj to say something like this, but she was surprised how strongly he came. She needs to come up with something strong and cannot use the same old excuse anymore to keep him at bay.

"Raj, I don't know what to say. I really feel honored and grateful for the affection you have on me, but I don't know how to say this. I don't want you to feel hurt. You know I am a very practical person and don't believe in matters of love, so I left my marriage decision to my parents." She looked into Raj's eyes to see if he is getting her message.

"I am ready to meet them with your permission, Arohi" Raj said.

"I know, but I already have a fiancé. My parents have already selected someone and we are in a relationship."

"What! You are kidding right ? I can't believe this Arohi? I am sure you are making this up to keep me away. I won't fall for it."

"Ok, you can ask them when they will be here in two weeks for the function." She said confidently hoping he will buy it.

"Ok, tell what is his name and what does he do?" He looked into her eyes again to see if she is going to take time to answer details about her fiancé. Raj was hoping to force Arohi into committing more details, so that it will become easier for him to prove her wrong.

"His name is Yudhi and he is an engineer, working for Google." Arohi answered with pride.

She herself was surprised, how easily those words came out of her mouth.
