Aoi P.O.V

After school, I went with Tori and everyone to see how Yuma and Shark are doing

'I hope they're recovering well, especially Yuma... He looked like he lost his spark for dueling' I thought

We made it to the hospital, we went to the front desk to check in and we started walking to Yuma and Shark's room. We entered the room, but we didn't notice Yuma's older sister behimdnus and she looked very angry.

"I knew you were irresponsible, but even I never thought you could be so reckless that you landed yourself in the hospital. And not just you, but your friend too. What's his name again, uh... Reginald? You could've been badly hurt! The doctor says neither of you has any injuries, so you can count yourselves lucky. Still, that doesn't excuse your foolish behavior." Yuma's older sister was to say more but was interrupted

"Excuse me, my brother is trying to rest, so I'd appreciate it if you could keep it down in here." Rio said

'Thank you Rio! Yuma's older sister was getting scary!' I thought

"Of course, sorry." She apologized "Yuma, I have to go to work, so stay in bed and out of trouble. Got that?" Yuma's older sister said and asked

"All right" Yuma said and his older sister left the room

"Yuma your sister could strike fear into the heart of a grizzly bear" Ray said

'No kidding' I thought

"You two certainty are different from each other" Cat said

"Yeah, she's a lot more serious than you are" Flip said

"Taller too!" Bronk said and we laughed, then Caswell stopped laughing

"Hey guys, keep it down or we're gonna wake up Shark!" Caswell said in a low voice and I covered my mouth

"I forgot!" I said

"Me too!" Bronk said as he also covered his mouth

"That's okay. Shark's awake." Rio said and it made us confused

"Huh?"

"I said that he was resting, not sleeping" Rio said as she opened the curtain "I did it because I thought it might help calm Yuma's sister down and sure seemed to work" Rio said with a smile and I started walking towards Shark

"Hey Shark, how are you feeling?" I asked

"I'm feeling okay. Thanks for asking and Rio close the curtain" Shark asked

"Huh? But why?" Rio asked

"Because with the curtain closed, its easier to forget that I'm rooming with a wimp." Shark said as he angerly looked away and I looked at Shark sadly when he said that. I turned around and looked at Yuma

"Yuma, how are you and Astral doing?" I asked

"I'm doing okay... And for Astral, he's resting inside the key, so he's fine." Yuma said

"I see. I hope you guys get well soon" I said and I looked at the clock

"Oh no! I'm gonna be late!" I yelled and everyone gave me a confused look

"Late for what?" Everyone asked

"My part-time job" I said

"Part-time job!?" Everyone shouted

"Yeah? I got one before I met up Shark and Rio" I said

"Before you met up with me and Rio? Where do you work at?" Shark asked

"Well do you remember the cafe you took me when I first came here? I work there" I said

"Oh yeah, I remember. We both had curry" Shark remembered

"Yep. Maybe when you guys aren't busy, you should visit and I'll give you guys a discount. Also, in case your gonna ask Caswell, I did get permission to get a part-time job from the student council president." I said and I left the hospital room

Small time-skip~

After I ran, I managed to make it on time

'Phew... I made it' I entered the cafe and my new boss greeted me

"Hello Miss Suzuki"

"Hello Mr. B" 

I still find it a bit weird that I'm calling him by the first letter of his last name but he said to call him that, so I guess it's fine... I think' I thought to myself

"I'm gonna change into my uniform, I'll be back in a bit" I said as I rushed to the women's locker room to change.

After some small time, I changed into my work uniform

I looked at myself in front of a mirror to make sure I'm completely ready 'Okay, I'm ready' I thought as I walked out from the locker room

"Aoi you look adorable!" Mr. B said

"Thank you Mr. B, I'll do my best today" I said with a smile and I heard the bell ring

"Looks like we have a customer, good luck Aoi" Mr. B wished me luck and I started walking towards the customer's table

"Welcome! How may I help you today?" I asked and I noticed it was Alito

"Alito?" I said and Alito looked at me with a huge blush covering his face

"A-A-Aoi?! I didn't know you worked here!" Alito shouted

"Yeah, this is actually my first day" I said and Alito looked away from me

"T-then... I want the pork cutlet rice bowl set and water please" Alito gave me his order

"Okay, your order will be ready in a few minutes" I said with a smile and I went to the chef in charge and gave him the order. Then I heard the bell and I went to the next customer

"Welcome! How may I help you today?" I said with a smile

"Aoi?" I looked at the person and saw Hiro

"Hello Hiro" I said

"I didn't know you worked here" Hiro said with a surprised tone

"Hehe, yeah. Your actually the second person to know" I said

'Who's the first?" Hiro asked

"My friend over, he's tan with brown hair and green eyes" After I described Alito, Hiro glared at Alito for some reason

'Why is Hiro glaring at Alito?' I thought to myself

"So Hiro, do you know what to order?" I asked to change his direction from Alito

"Oh right. I would like to have the salad set with water please" Hiro placed his order

"Okay, it'll take a few minutes"  I said and went to give the chef another order

"Aoi, before you go, here's the order for the first customer" The chef said as he handed Alito's order to me and I started walking towards Alito's table

"Here you go Alito, one pork cutlet rice bowl with a cup of water" I said as I placed his food on the table

"Thank you Aoi, looks great" Alito said

"Your welcome Alito, enjoy your meal and call for me when your ready" I said and I started walking back to the chef since he had another meal ready. After I picked Hiro's meal set, I walked towards Hiro's table

"Here you go Hiro, one salad meal set with a cup water" I said as I placed Hiro's order on the table

"Thank you Miss Aoi. I'll call you when I'm done" Hiro said

"Okay, enjoy your meal" I said and I heard the bell ring again

'Looks like another customer is here' I thought to myself as I headed towards the customers

Timeskip~ Sunset

Today was a easy day, Hiro finished his meal and said he'll come back here again next time. Sometime later, Alito finished his meal too but he told me he wants to stay for a bit longer in case I get in trouble with the customers which is nice of him.

It was almost closing time but a male customer who looks middle age hasn't left yet even though he paid for his meal

'Why is he still here? He already paid for his meal but he's still here and we're going to close up soon... I better ask him to leave' I thought to myself as I started walking towards the customer

"Excuse me sir?"

"Huh? What do you want?" He asked

"I'm here to ask you to leave because we're closing up soon" I said

"Already? Well since it's almost closing time, wanna go on a date with me?" The male customer asked

"I'm sorry sir but I'm not interested. Plus you look a bit old to ask a young girl out" I said and the male customer got angry

"Huh?! If you don't wanna go out with me the easy way then I guess I'll have do the hard way!" The male customer got up from his seat and grabbed my wrist harshly and started to drag me to the door

"Ah! Please let me go! Someone please help!" I yelled for help and feeling scared I closed my eyes but I heard a grunt and my wrist was free

"Stay away from Aoi you creep!" I opened my eyes and saw Alito

"Stay out of my way kid!" The male customer was about to punch Alito but Alito dodged his punch and he punched the guy in the stomach

"Ugh!" The male customer fell to the ground in pain

"Never come near Aoi again you creep!" Alito yelled as he wrapped his arm around me to make me feel safe

The male customer got up and he was wobbling out of the cafe

"Thank you so much for saving me Alito" I thanked Alito

"Your welcome Aoi" Alito said

"Is there anything that I can do to repay you?" I asked

"W-well... there's one" Alito said

"What is it?" I asked

"W-w-w-will y-y-y-you... g-g-g-g-g-go.... out with me for the day tomorrow?" Alito asked

"Sure. We can meet outside of the cafe since it will be closed tomorrow" I said and Alito looked very happy

"Okay! I'll see you at 7 o'clock" Alito said as he left the cafe

'Well looks like I plans tomorrow, I wonder what we're doing tomorrow?' I thought to myself as I went to change into my school uniform and left for home

The next day~

I was going through my clothes to see on what should I wear today and after a couple minutes, I finally found the outfit to wear

"Okay. Now I need to brush my hair and I'll start heading to the cafe to meet up with Alito" I said as I started to brush my hair and put up in a ponytail. I grabbed my bag and my keys and I started heading out

As I was getting close to the cafe, I saw Alito standing by the door

"Alito! Sorry if I kept you waiting" I apologized to Alito

"It's alright, I wasn't here for that long. Also you look cute" Alito said and I blushed "Ready to go?"

I nodded my head and Alito gently grabbed my hand and we started walking

"So, where are we going?" I asked

"Well first, we're going to the beach, then going out for lunch and we can check out the stores" Alito said

"Wow, sounds like a great plan Alito" I said with a smile

"Of course, I want to make sure you have a fun day" Alito said as we entered the train that heading to the beach

"Hey Alito, I haven't seen at school for awhile, did something happen?" I asked

"Well it's something personal that I don't want to discuss" Alito said

"Okay, that's fine. I hope it's nothing serious" I said and Alito patted my head

"Don't worry it's not" Alito said and we heard announcement that we're almost at our destination

"Looks like we're almost there" I said and Alito nodded for agreement

After a few minutes, the train came to a stop and we got off the train but I didn't know that train station was by the ocean

"Wow! The ocean looks beautiful!" I said as my eyes twinkled with amazement

"I'm happy you like it Aoi. Shall we go to the beach?" Alito asked as he stick out his hand

"Sure" I said as I grabbed his hand and we started heading to the beach

Alito and I walked around the beach, we looked at the best sight seeing sights that shows the marine life like jellyfish, sea turtles, seals, sea otters and colorful fishes. After we finished looking, Alito took me out for lunch at a seaside cafe nearby and the food looks delicious too

'I wish... I can show Astral something this amazing...' I thought to myself sadly

"Hey Aoi, what are you doing? Are you coming or not?" Alito said and it me snap out of my trance

"I'm coming, sorry I was in thought" I said

"About what?" Alito asked

"I'll tell you later" I said as we enter the seaside cafe

After we ate lunch, Alito took me to the shops nearby, they have clothes, cute plushies of the marine life and rentals of scuba gear, canoes, and bikes. We entered a shop with the plushies because they look so adorable, there was alot of plushies of marine life but one plushie caught my eye

'It's so adorable!' I thought to myself while fawning over it

"You want this one?" Alito asked and nodded while blushing

Alito chuckled and took the plushie to the store clerk, after he made the purchase, he gave me the plushie and I hugged him

"Thank you so much Alito!" I said while hugging him

"Y-y-y-y-y-y-your w-w-w-w-w-w-welcome A-a-a-a-a-aoi" Alito said while stuttering

I released him from the hug and we started heading towards the back home since it's already sunset, we got on the train and it started to take us home

"Thank you for taking me out today Alito, I really needed that" I thanked Alito

"No problem. So are you gonna tell why you looked so sad when we went to the seaside cafe?" Alito asked

"Yeah... I was sad because... I was thinking my about my older brother..." I said with a sad look

"You have a brother?" Alito asked and I nodded

"Well recently I learned I have a brother and right now he's hurt. I don't what I can do to help" I said

"Well does he something that he likes? Does he like singing?" Alito asked

"I believe so" I answered

"Why not try singing something for him? I bet that'll make him happy" Alito suggested to me

"That sounds like a good idea. Thanks Alito" I thanked Alito again

"No problem" Alito said

After some time, we made it back home, since there's some light outside, we went our separate ways. I finally made back home, when I got to my room, I jumped on my bed while hugging my new plushie

'Today was a fun day' I thought to myself as I drifted off to sleep
