(Y/n) walked beside Anzu on their way out of the school through the hallway. She could never forget how Anzu's determination and independence seemed to fuel her own.

They'd known each other since kindergarten, and since the very day they met, they had devoted their seemingly unbreakable loyalty to one another.

As they walked, most of the boys were running ahead, eager to start their silly game of basketball. (Y/n) heard Anzu huff. " Oh please," she scoffed in a whispered voice to her friend. "They're only excited because they have a chance to look up the girls underwear,"

(Y/n) rolled her eyes in agreement. "I know!" She agreed. "I'm just glad I'm not much of a sporty person,"

"Hey! Give it back!" A high-pitched voice called from down the hall. (Y/n) looked behind her, only to see nothing. Even though she couldn't see anyone, she already knew who was talking.

Isn't that Yugi? She wondered. The small teen had been in the same kindergarten class as (Y/n) and Anzu. (Y/n) knew very well how strong the friendship was between Yugi and Anzu. That's too bad, she thought once more. I've always kinda liked Yugi... But I'm not as close to him. Perhaps it's best if I just let Anzu have him, and look for someone else instead.

" Damn it," Anzu cursed under her breath. " I bet that's Jonouchi and Honda teasing him again." The brunette began to run down the hall. "I'll walk home with you tomorrow, okay (Y/n)?"

"But-" (Y/n) began but cut herself off.  Today, Anzu had promised to walk home with her. It's a shame those boys are teasing Yugi, she thought in frustration. I know Anzu is frustrated as well. Why can't Yugi learn to stand up for himself?

Pushing the thought aside, she proceeded to the front doors. Pushing, the large door opened, and a ray of sunlight shone on her.

(Y/n) noticed from the corner of her eye some of the boys eyeing her. Many people had commented that she had been growing into a beautiful woman. I don't like it when they say that, (Y/n) thought. It makes me nervous to see so many boys just, starring at me.

(Y/n) carried her books back to her locker the next day. She had felt refreshed after a good night's sleep, and now she felt ready to conquer the day.

On her way to school, though, (Y/n) had remembered how she had seen Ushio beating up Jounouchi and Honda. He had been yelling things like, "You should learn not to be mean!" Honestly, that's quite hypocritical, she thought.

But what scared her the most was how she realized that it was far too coincidental to be an actual coincedence. Anzu had mentioned that Jounouchi and Honda had been bullying Yugi.

(Y/n) gulped. As long as she stayed away from Ushio, she would be fine.

But what about Yugi? (Y/n) thought worriedly. I can imagine Ushio would tell him about it. Yugi's too weak to handle him alone...

Suddenly, an idea popped up in her thoughts. A really bad idea.

I have to help Yugi!
