The next day as promised Emma went on a job hunt around the city while Ryou was on his last day of school. She was able to find a job at the law firm working for the criminals, because she believe that innocent people get convicted for false evidence so that's why she wants to fight for the people's right.

Emma would start work on Monday and since today it was almost time for Ryou to get out of school, since they were getting out early today. She decided to surprise Ryou and wait at the gate but when she got there she saw their was already students out.

Emma saw a bunch of girls surrounding one guy, she tried to see who is the lucky fellow getting all the attention. Until she saw a glimpse of the guy's hair it was purely white and she knows only one guy that has that kind of hair, it was Bakura.

'Hmmm those girls better back away from my Ryou'

She thought angrily, just then she heard someone yelled out her name, she recognized the accent it was Ryou waving at her in the middle of the fangirls.

'Hmmm how sweet out of all the girls surrounding him, he still has his eyes on me'

She thought happily, Emma waved back and giggled as Ryou tried making his way through the fangirls who whined being ignored by him. Ryou walked up to Emma with a smile and scratch the back of his head nervously.

"So fangirls I presume?"

Emma said smirking with a hand on her hip with a raised eyebrow. Ryou just laughs

"Something like that"

"Hmmm"

"Wait just a second, Emma are you jealous?"

"Pff of course not why would i get mad when all the girls from the school is trying to get your attention by hugging you, flirting with you a-and trying to give you gifts"

She said angrily annoyed turning away from him with her arms now crossed. Ryou just smiled he could tell she was jealous but was stubborn to admit it.

"It's okay Emma, I'm probably never gonna see them again"

He said hopefully trying to calm her down.

"Yeah probably"

She said sarcastically still fuming. Ryou put a friendly arm around her causing her to blush forgetting why she was mad in the first place. The moment was ruined when the fan girls yelled

"Bye Ryou, we love you and we'll miss you"

Ryou sweat dropped and waved with his other available arm to the girls, they happily giggled as he waved

"Bye"

With that said Emma angrily shoved his arm from around her and walked up ahead of him. Ryou was confused but none the less smiled walking behind Emma, knowing very well she just needs to cool off.

Once they arrived home, Emma and Ryou took off their shoes. She went to the couch and grabbed a magazine that was one the coffee table. Ryou was putting his school bag down and looked at Emma.

"So how did the job hunt go?"

"Fine. I found a job already i'll start on monday."

Ryou nodded happy at the fact she completed a goal. Ryou actually took a good look at Emma

'Wow she really is beautiful'

He thought until Emma yelled at him.

"Hey are you going to stand there all day and stare at me or come and sit by me?"

He grinned and made his way to sit close to Emma. Yet he continued to stare at her face and she sense someone was looking at her, she looked from the magazine and blush she was surprise how close her and Ryou's face was so close to each other.

She could practically feel his lips and hot breathe close to her hers. She lowered her eyes as well as Ryou, and slowly they started to lean close to each other but Ryou closed his eyes sadly and pulled away before their lips can touch.

Emma opened her eyes and looked at Ryou, he quickly brushed away the sad face and looked at Emma with a smile.

"What would you like to eat?"

Emma knew what he was trying to do.

"Ryou?"

She sadly

"I know i'll make a well done steak with...."

He trailed off getting up from the couch but he didn't get far as Emma pulled him back down. Ryou didn't want to look at her.

"Ryou, please I like you. I really really like you"

Emma confessed.

"Emma I'm sorry, really i am but i can't. I don't want to lose you"

"And you wont Ryou. I promised i will always be here, didn't I?"

Ryou remained silent looking towards the floor. Emma grabbed his chin forcing him to look at her. She then leaned over and gave him a light kiss on lips. Ryou opened his mouth lightly but Emma pulled away with a smile.

"I know you wanted that"

Ryou was silent debating whether he should or shouldn't, until finally he looked at her.

"You want to know the truth?"
