Kaiba quickly grabbed hold of Karla's shoulder pushing her against the wall.

"Hey what's your problem?"

"Sshhh, I don't want them to hear us"

"Who?"

Karla whispered.

"The geek squad. Look I just thought of a brilliant plan for I can beat my arch rival."

"That would be?"

"Be friend with them"

"What? But you know I don't..."

Kaiba quickly cut her off.

"I know i know but if you do this, I would reward you"

Karla smiled and happily squealed. Kaiba took that as a yes.

"Make it look real and when your ready come back to me"

Karla happily nodded. The voices got closer and without any warning Kaiba punched Karla in the nose knocking her to the ground. Karla grabbed hold of her nose and whimper at the impact.

"That's what you get for cheating on me you bitch"

Kaiba said angrily, he grabbed hold of Karla's hair and she whimpered at the harsh pull bringing her back on her feet. Yugi and his friends heard noises and quickly turned the corner to see Kaiba holding a girl by the hair who was crying holding her bleed nose.

"Hey what do you think your doing?!"

Joey yelled angrily at what he was witnessing. Kaiba looked at the group

"Stay out of this"

He then grabbed hold of Karla's neck choking her against the wall. She was gasping for air, she tried fighting back kicking and tried to pull his hand away but he was a lot stronger than she was.

"Is this what you wanted slut?!"

Kaiba yelled angrily at Karla's scared face. Without any warning a fist was connected to Kaiba's cheek causing him to let go of Karla's neck. Kaiba got his balance back and saw that it was Joey who was standing their with an angry fist.

He smirk and fixed up his coat. He looked to see Karla on the floor crying and curled up.

"You don't be putting your hands on her!"

Joey yelled angrily at Kaiba's action.

"Whatever"

Kaiba got closer to Karla and kicked her causing her to cry out at the harsh impact. Joey pushed Kaiba away from her.

"Have fun with the whore"

Kaiba said walking away. Joey had his eyes on Kaiba making sure he actually left. Tea and Yugi made their way to the girl on the floor.

"Hey are you okay?"

Yugi asked concern grabbing hold of her hand and lifting her up.

"What's your name?"

Tea asked as she looked the girl over.

"M-my names Karla, Karla Jean"

Yugi and Tea smiled slightly but as for Joey he was blushing mad as he actually got a good look at the girl.

'Wow she is beautiful'

Joey then shook his head, he just met the girl. He scratched the back of his head nervously trying to think of something to say.

"How do you know rich boy?"

Karla thanked Tea for the napkin cleaning of her nose and tears.

"H-he's my boyfriend, well Ex-boyfriend now."

Karla sadly smiled and looked at them.

"Thank you for your help"

Karla said leaving the three alone. Yugi and Tea left to find the others but as for Joey he remained where he was and stood at the direction the girl was leaving. Without thinking Joey ran towards Karla

"Hey wait!"

He yelled. Karla stopped and looked to see it was the one with dirty blonde hair.

"Is their something you need?"

"Well ah hahaha I forgot to tell you my name. The name is Joey Wheeler, you might have heard about me"

Karla gave him a shy smiled

"I'm sorry I'm afraid I haven't"

Joey face went sad causing Karla to giggle. Joey heard the laugh and smiled

"You have a beautiful laugh"

"You're just saying that"

"No i mean it really"

Karla smiled

"Well thank you Joey"

They stood in silence. Joey then quickly thought of something

"Are you doing anything right now?"

"I don't think so why?"

"For I can take you out for lunch"

Karla was surprised how fast this person moves.

"Okay"

Together Joey and Karla went out for lunch and talked getting to know each other. After a while, they exchanged numbers and departed. Once Karla got alone, she called up her boyfriend.

"Hello?"

"Hey, its me"

"Hey, so how is it going?"

"Its good but I think he might be head over heels about me?"

"Hmm that doesn't sound like Yugi, I thought it would take time. I guess you really are a catch"

"Wait, did you say Yugi?"

"Yes Yugi, the rival I told you about.....Karla are you there?"

After a few minutes of silence from Karla's end.

"Are you freakin kidding me, I was talking and exchange numbers with the wrong one!!"

Kaiba raised an eyebrow

"With who?"

"The guy name Joey"

A few minutes of silence pass from Kaiba's end until

"Wheeler!!!!"
