It was the night of the performance, the Kaiba family sat in the balcony having a good view of the stage and audience. The reporters were surprise that the CEO Karla and Seto Kaiba were at the auditorium but before they could ask question they were removed from the premises.

The lights died out until a spotlight shined on stage curtains opening to reveal Sapphire seating on a piano bench and began to play. She leaned over a bit so her lips were close to the microphone.

"I got a bad case of stage fright
I'm doubting myself, and I just don't feel right.

Letting everyone down helpless as I stare at the ground with nothing to say. Why is this happening today.

If I can only break free oh everyone is bothering me, everybody is watching me and i don't want to let them down

Ohhh nooo

But i can do something, I gotta do something to turn this situation around. I gotta follow through see it through till the end

Sapphire played the last note and stood up and took a bow as everyone in the audience stand up to clap at the performance. The only one remain sitting was Kaiba that had a cold glare at his daughter.

After the whole performance, Karla gave her daughter a teddy bear and Mokuba gave Sapphire a hug congratulating. Sapphire smiled and looked up at her father and her smile disappeared when she notice his scowl.

"Lets go home"

Kaiba said emotionless turning around to go to the limo. Karla glared at his retrieving form, she felt a tug on her hand and she looked down at her daughter that had a sad face.

"Did I do something wrong?"

Karla smiled at her daughter giving her a reassuring smile

"Don't worry sweetheart, he's just getting mad because his birthday is tomorrow"

Sapphire knew her mother was lying through her teeth but decided to talk to her father later. As they arrived home, Mokuba went to his room, Kaiba went to work in his office room, and Karla went to take a quick bath.

Sapphire took a deep breathe and walked into her father's office.

"Daddy?"

Kaiba looked up from his laptop to see his daughter standing in the door way.

"What is it?"

Sapphire looked towards the ground, nervous to look at her father.

"Are you mad at me?"

Kaiba looked at his daughter.

"Why would you say that?"

"Well after the performance you looked disappointed, you didn't like the song"

Kaiba stood up and walk up to his daughter

"I hope this is the last time you will be joining in the drama act because i will be enrolling you in a duel academy school"

Sapphire snapped her head up to look at her father with confusion.

"What? Why?"

"Because you have been lacking on the game and I don't need my daughter slacking just because she wants to sing"

"But Dad, I love singing and playing my instrument. Why can't I just stay there?"

Kaiba glared at his daughter

"I am not going to repeat myself, starting Monday you will go to your new and official school"

"T-that's not fair. Are you really that ashamed of me, you know  that Mom won't let you"

"Its been done. Now end of discussion"

Sapphire was hurt, tears started to gather in her eye but they haven't fell. Until a knock was on the door, it was Karla.

"Hey what's..."

Sapphire ran out of the office and up to her room. Karla was confused and looked towards her husband

"What happened?"

"I'm putting her in a duel academy"

"What? why?"

"Because she is slacking on the game"

"Did it ever cross your mind that may be the card game isn't her interest? I mean even I don't like that card game"

Kaiba glared at her and turned around to go back to his laptop but he didn't get far as Karla scold him.

"Where do you think you're going?"

"Back to work"

"I'm sorry but you have a little girl upstairs that is crying her heart out. Go and apologize"

Kaiba turned to his wife

"No"

"Now!!"

Karla yelled with her arms crossed. Kaiba remained in place and just stared at Karla. A few minutes of silence pass and Karla let out a sigh, shaking her head, she left the office to go comfort her daughter.

Karla went to her daughter's room to talk, unaware that Kaiba was listening to their conversation.
