Yusei P.O.V

"Okay, is there anything I should know about Aster that I don't know about already?" I asked Jaden as I got my duel disk sorted, making sure I had my deck in order as well.

Jaden thought for a moment before nodding, sitting up in his chair. "Be careful with his Dogma and Dreadmaster - they can be very tricky to beat. Especially Dogma - the turn after Aster brings that out, it'll drain half your Life Points away the moment you go into your Draw Phase. Make sure that doesn't happen, otherwise you'll be in a tight situation."

I nodded at his information. "Alright, thanks." I looked at the entrance to the arena, sighing heavily. "Okay, here we go."

I took one last look at Jaden, his face clearly showing how tired he really was from his duel with the D. Alexis was still at his side, making sure he was alright. I smiled mentally: those two were more closer than ever, and I knew that they were close to being a couple.

That made me think of Akiza: my strongly telepathic friend my New Domino City, and one of the only people I knew as friends. I could clearly picture her, even though I was way back into the past: her dark flaming red hair, her light brown eyes showing how tough she really is but always caring for her loved ones. I missed her like crazy, but I knew that I'd return to her soon. I just had to help Jaden out first to get him back to his own time before I see Akiza again.

Syrus, Chazz and Atticus were at the other waiting seats, nodding towards me as a way of saying good luck. I nodded back to them, and thought that these guys are like my own team back in the future, and how lucky Jaden was to have them in his life.

Without another word, I rushed forwards into the roaring arena of the crowd, just as the announcer shouted out with my entrance.

"Ladies and Gentlemen! We have come to the last duel of the evening, before the Semi-Final battles take place tomorrow! And for this duel, we've got a real treat for you all - over to my left is a duellist that is very much like Jaden Yuki! A duellist we have taken to calling a Shooting Star! Please give it up fooooooor...Yusei Fudo!"

Everyone in the audience cheered loudly, chanting my name again and again. It reminded me of the time when I won against Chief Armstrong in the Facility back in New Domino City, when all the inmates cheered when I won my duel with him. The memory still brought a smile to my face.

"And his opponent: a duellist of extraordinary talent and style! A duellist of remarkable heroism and strength! Ladies and Gentlemen, I am pleased to present the one...the only...pro duellist, ASTERRRR PHONEIX!"

The crowd roared with approval, as Aster ran onto the duelling field, waving his arms in greetings to the audience who shouted his name over and over. Aster calmly walked over to his place of the duelling field, calmly getting his duel disk prepared, as he positioned it on his left arm.

He then looked over in my direction, nodding. "How's Jaden holding up?"

"Tired but he'll be alright," I answered. "Just sitting down and recovering."

"Alright then, I hope you'll prove yourself to be a challenge," Aster said, a very challenging look in his eyes as he placed his deck into his deck holder. "Because believe me, I want a challenge before I face Jaden."

I nodded, before I slammed my own deck into my duel disk, as it flared to life. "Oh, believe me, I'll be more than just a challenge to you. I'll prove to you that when I get on the duelling field, I'll show you just how fast I can be!"

"Alright duellists, if you're both ready, then DUEL!" the referee shouted.

"Time to duel!" Aster yelled.

"Let's REV IT UP!" I cried out.

Aster: 8000 LP
Yusei: 8000 LP

"I'll go first," Aster announced as he drew his six cards. "Oh and just so you know, I'm using my real deck so I'd brace myself if I were you. I Normal Summon Destiny HERO Diamond Dude in attack mode!"

A diamond armoured man appeared on the battlefield, his eyes covered by a visor of some kind.

(Destiny HERO Diamond Dude - 1400/1600)

"And now his special ability kicks in: I send the top card of my deck to the graveyard, and if it happens to be a spell card, then I get to activate it on my next turn," Aster said, drawing the top card of his deck and revealing it. "And by the looks of it, I've drawn Pot Of Greed from my deck. So I'll activate that on my next turn. But I'm not done in the slightest: I activate a spell card that you might be familiar with, since Jaden used it so much in his duel with D."

I grimaced. Oh boy...

"I activate Polymerization!" Aster said. "And with it, I fuse Elemental HERO's Avian and Burstinitrix together to Fusion Summon Elemental HERO Phoenix Enforcer!"

My eyes widened as his own Elemental HERO appeared in a column of fire and wind, its body continuing to burn even after it arrived.

"Then, I place two cards facedown and then end my turn," Aster said, placing two of his cards facedown on the field. "You're up, Yusei. Let's see what you've got."

I nodded, before placing a finger on the top of my deck before drawing. I took a look at my hand, before looking at Aster's field. If I remembered what I could about Aster in my time, he used those Elemental HERO's as some of his own Fusion Summonings. And Phoenix Enforcer was tough to beat since it couldn't be destroyed in any way.

Well then, I thought to myself, time to see how I can handle going up against a Pro.

"I Special Summon Unknown Synchron in defence mode!" I said.

(Unknown Synchron - 0/0)

"Since you've got a monster on your field and I don't, I'm able to Special Summon Unknown Synchron from my hand," I explained. "Next, I activate the spell card Tuner Cry, which allows me to Special Summon a Tuner monster from my deck as long as I send a card from my hand to the graveyard."

"A Tuner monster?" Aster frowned. "What's that?"

"You're about to find out," I told him, as I sent my Speed Warrior from my hand to the graveyard. "Now I'm able to Special Summon Junk Synchron from my deck in defence mode."

One of my most used Tuner monsters appeared on the field, his orange hat and armour bonding about the place.

"And thanks to his special ability, I'm allowed to do this: bring back a Level Two or lower monster from my graveyard and back onto the field. And luckily for me, there's one there. So return to battle, Speed Warrior!"

(Speed Warrior - 900/400)

"Now, I Normal Summon Tuningware in attack mode!" I then shouted, playing my fourth monster.

(Tuningware - 100/300)

I looked to my right, and saw Kaiba looking at me intensely. I knew he was interested in my ways of summoning and wanted to see for his own eyes what it was. I nodded towards him, letting him know that he should watch me carefully.

"Now it's time I did my own version of summoning that you're gonna have a lot of difficulty with," I pointed to Aster. "So get ready, Aster Phoenix. Because I'm about to REV IT UP!"

I raised my hand towards the sky. "I Tune Level Three Junk Synchron with Level One Tuningware! And since it's used during a Tuning, Tuningware is treated as a Level Two monster!"

(Tuningware: Level 1 - Level 2)

Both monsters jumped into the sky, just as Junk Synchron burst into three green rings that encircled Tuningware, just as it vanished into a bright white light.

(Level 3 + Level 2 = Level 5)

"I Synchro Summon...Junk Warrior!" I shouted.

One of my oldest Warrior Type monsters appeared on my field, its gold and blue armoured plating glowing from the summoning.

(Junk Warrior - 2300/1300)

"WHOA!" the announcer exclaimed in surprise as the audience cheered again from the newest form of summoning that I presented. "In all my years of being an announcer, I have NEVER seen anything like this before! Yusei Fudo has presented a new form of summoning that has us all in awe!"

Aster looked pretty shocked at the summoning of my monster. "Whoa! That was pretty cool!"

"And I'm not so much as done yet: since Tuningware was used in a Synchron Summon, I get to draw a card from my deck," I said, drawing a card from my deck. "And I'm not done with the summoning. Since the monster I Special Summoned using Tuners Cry was used for a Synchro Summon, I get to summon a monster back from my graveyard. And I choose Tuningware!"

(Tuningware - 100/300)

"And now, it's time for another Synchro Summon! I Tune Level One Unknown Synchron, with Level Two Speed Warrior and Level One Tuningware!"

(Level 1 + Level 1 + Level 2 = Level 4)

"I Synchro Summon...Armoury Arm in attack mode!" I shouted.

My claw like arm monster appeared, as it swiped itself continuously in a wide circle.

(Armoury Arm - 1800/1200)

"Another Synchro monster in one turn?" Aster asked in shock.

"And it gets even better, because since Tuningware was used in a Synchro Summon again, I get to draw one more card from my deck," I said, drawing a card. "And another thing: Armoury Arm has a useful effect. I can treat this card as an Equip monster, meaning I can equip it onto Junk Warrior and raise its attack strength by one thousand!"

(Junk Warrior - 3300/1300)

"Junk Warrior, attack Destiny HERO Diamond Dude with Junk Barrage!" I cried out.

Junk Warrior rushed forwards, and was about to swing its claw covered arm at Diamond Dude.

"I don't think so!" Aster shot back, pressing a button on his duel disk. "I activate my trap card: Negate Attack! By activating this card, I can immediately stop and end your battle phase this turn!"

"That ain't gonna stop me!" I shouted at him, picking a card out of my hand. "I send my Synchro Barrier Spell card to the graveyard to activate its effect: this turn, you can't play any of your Trap or Spell cards to stop my attack!"

"Ah, no way!" Aster exclaimed as his Trap card was negated and destroyed.

Junk Warrior slammed its wrist into Diamond Dude, which made the monster explode into diamond dust.

Yusei: 8000 LP
Aster: 6100 LP

"And there's more than that," I commented. "Armoury Arm's effect kicks in as soon as your monster reaches the graveyard - you take the destroyed monsters attack points as damage!"

Junk Warrior's arm shot outwards as it slammed into Aster directly, making Aster scream as his Life Points dropped by Destiny HERO Diamond Dude's attack points.

Yusei: 8000 LP
Aster: 4700 LP

"HAH HO! Now THAT is what I call an all out attack!" the announcer exclaimed loudly into his microphone, the audience cheering as loudly as ever. "I've never even SEEN a battle as epic as this before!"

"I place one card facedown, and then end my turn," I then finished, placing a facedown on the field.

So far, so good, I thought to myself. Aster was taken off guard by the attack, but now I know he's gonna do whatever it takes to win the duel now. I just hope that I can be able to withstand his next move.

Aster P.O.V

I was panting heavily. That last attack caught me by surprise, big time. I never would've expected something like that to have happened, and in such a shocking way. This Yusei character has used a summoning technique I was not prepared for.

I shook my head, trying to get my focus back. I have to win this duel, otherwise I won't face Jaden in the finals. And there's no way no one is gonna stop me!

"Alright, stand back folks!" I shouted, drawing my next card. "And guess what? Diamond Dude's ability kicks in, allowing me to activate the effect of the discarded Pot Of Greed in my graveyard. So I get to draw two cards from my deck. And guess what, I'm not done with the drawing, since I activate my facedown: Destiny Draw! By discarding a Destiny HERO from my hand, I get to draw two cards. That means I've got four cards to work with."

I selected a card in my hand. "Now I activate Over Destiny! With this activated, I can target a Destiny HERO monster in my graveyard and Special Summon another Destiny HERO from my deck, as long as it's level is equal or less to half the level of the monster I selected in my graveyard. So I select Destiny HERO Malicious - which I discarded to activate my Destiny Draw spell card - and Special Summon Destiny HERO Disc Commander in defence mode!"

A HERO with what looked like a barrage of discs all over its body appeared, swinging the discs on its arms in a wild manner.

"Now I activate the effect of Destiny HERO Malicious in my graveyard - since I've got it in my graveyard, I can simply banish that copy of Malicious, and Special Summon another Destiny HERO Malicious from my deck in defence mode."

A horned demon came in, it's black wings quivering and its heady yellow eyes flared harshly at me.

(Destiny HERO Malicious - 800/800)

"Then, I Normal Summon my Destiny HERO Doom Lord!" I said as I played my third monster.

A caped creature rose up from the shadows and appeared next to Destiny HERO's Malicious and Disc Commander.

(Destiny HERO Doom Lord - 600/800)

"But I'm not done with the summoning just yet," I said, picking one of the last two cards in my hand. "Since I've got three HERO monsters out on my field, I can now sacrifice all three of them to Special Summon a Destiny HERO that will send your Junk Warrior back to the scrap yard."

All three of my monsters glowed with light, until they were completely turned into pure light.

"I Special Summon...Destiny HERO Dogma!" I roared, punching my right fist into the air.

One of my most powerful Destiny HERO's appeared above me, yelling in pure defiance as it spread its wings, its bladed armoured arms extending as it flared harshly at Yusei's monster.

(Destiny HERO Dogma - 3400/2400)

"Now then, time to go to work!" I shouted, pointing my finger at Yusei's monster. "Destiny HERO Dogma, attack Junk Warrior with Destiny Slam!"

My monster rushed forwards, drawing its right arm back as it prepared to launch a direct attack.

"Not on my watch you don't," Yusei exclaimed, activating his facedown fast as lighting. "I activate Scrap-Iron Scarecrow! Once per turn, I can activate this card and stop your monsters attack!"

I was a little surprised at that, but figured he would use something like that. I actually smiled. "That would be a very bad thing for me, if I didn't have a card to help me. Unfortunately for you however, I DO have a card to help!" I picked the last card in my hand and showed it to him. "I activate the Quick-Play Spell card Destiny Burst! Since I control a Destiny HERO on my field, by sacrificing one of my other monsters on the field - like my Elemental HERO Phoenix Enforcer - not only does your Junk Warrior bite the dust -"

Yusei has to watch in shock as his monster exploded into particles.

"- but you also receive the monsters original attack points as damage!" I finished off my sentence.

Yusei groaned as he received an electrical shock, his Life Point reader going down.

Yusei: 5700 LP
Aster: 4700 LP

"And Aster comes back on top!" the announcer cries out. "Coming back with an all out turnout of a move, he reduces Yusei's Life Points by almost the same amount as Aster lost by Yusei's hands!"

"With that, end my turn," I finished off. "Now then, let's see how well you can come back from that, Yusei."

Yusei straightened himself. "Well, I'm not one for giving up just yet. So I'm still gonna keep going. It's my turn, and I draw!"

He just drew his card, before I interrupted.

"Hold on there, buddy," I said in a smug voice. "I should probably explain my Dogma's special ability before you do anything else. On the Draw Phase of your turn, my Destiny HERO Dogma has the distinct ability to cut your Life Points in half. So, this might hurt a little."

"Not gonna happen!" Yusei snapped, making me blink in surprise as he picked one of the cards in his hand. "I discard Tuner Mischief from my hand to the graveyard!"

That got me confused, but soon a winged creature appeared in front of Yusei as Dogma's electrical power struck it.

"What the-?!" I exclaimed.

"At the price of sending one of my Tuner monsters from my deck to the graveyard, any effect that your Destiny HERO Dogma would've sent my way is automatically negated," Yusei explained. "I won't be the subject of your Destiny HERO's ability in this duel."

He then returned his attention to his hand. "I activate the Spell card Pot Of Greed, allowing me to draw two cards from my deck. Then, I Normal Summon this: Blue Expense Falcon in attack mode!"

A winged warrior appeared on the field, it's blue feathered wings shivering in anticipation.

(Blue Expense Falcon - 800/800)

"Then I activate its special ability: when it's summoned to the field, I get to Special Summon a Level four or below Dragon Type monster from my hand," Yusei explained. "With that being said, I Special Summon Bright Star Dragon in attack mode!"

(Bright Star Dragon - 1900/1000)

"So now, its time for another Synchro Summon," Yusei said, clenching his right fist tightly, and I couldn't help but notice that the inside of his right forearm was glowing red with some sort of dragon head mark. "Because thanks to Bright Star Dragons special ability, I can increase my Blue Expense Falcon's Level by two, making it a Level four monster."

(Blue Expense Falcon: Level 2 - Level 4)

"I Tune Level four Blue Expense Falcon with Level four Bright Star Dragon!" Yusei shouted, as both his monsters rushed into the air, Blue Expense Falcon bursting into four green rings as they enveloped Bright Star Dragon.

(Level 4 + Level 4 = Level 8)

"From the heavens above, come forth in the name of the Crimson Dragon! I Synchro Summon...Stardust Dragon!"

A surge of white light exploded behind Yusei, as a pure white dragon, more beautiful than I had ever seen before, appeared above him. The crowd "oooh'd" and "awwwwed" at the sight, as the dragon itself roared to the ceiling above.

(Stardust Dragon - 2500/2000)

"Aster Phoenix," Yusei called out, making me look at him. "This duel just got serious. It's time we took his to the next level!"

He pointed at both our monsters. "The battle between HERO's and Synchro monsters are about to begin! But only one monster will remain standing! And now it's time...TO FIND OUT WHICH ONE!"

To prove his point, his Stardust Dragon roared again and my Destiny HERO Dogma yelled in defiance as well. By the way Yusei said it, I knew straight away that this duel would be, without a doubt, one the toughest I've ever been in. With that thought in my mind, I smirked.

"To that, Yusei Fudo," I told him, "BRING IT ON!"

Sorry for the late chapter guys. I've been pretty busy helping out a good friend of mine on Wattpad. That and I had a little Writers Block problem to sort out. So I hope you can forgive me for that.

And hopefully, I can be able to make more amazing chapters for this story.
