A Not So Happy Friendly Reunion Part 2

(Alright, its time for an epic tag team duel between Yusei and Jaden vs two copies of the formidable Trueman, the soldier of Nightshroud. Will the two future duellists be able to fend off against these two? Find out soon as we witness two of the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchises greatest duellists!)

Yusei POV

I still couldn't believe that I managed to find Jaden. Literally, as soon as he lost his grip on my Duel Runner, I thought that I had lost him. But then I remembered that he would've hopefully end up somewhere near his timeline, so I swore that I would find him and get him home back to his time.

Apparently, the Crimson Dragon thought the same way I did, because it spurred forwards even faster down the time stream, ending up in this timeline. I'm still annoyed at the fact that my Duel Runner was badly damaged, but I could get to work on that with no problem. It's just trying to find a way back to my time that's the problem.

But first things first: help Jaden win this duel.

I stared at the two copies of 'Trueman', but I didn't know these guys at all well. I mean, yeah I've heard about them in the history books, but I didn't know how they duelled. But the obvious look on Jaden's face told me that I needed to keep my guard up. I knew he must've face them before, and that he had a hard time duelling them because of their ruthless methods. But seeing him stare at them like the way he did made it clearly obvious that he wasn't happy seeing them.

Trueman 1&2: 4000 LP
Yusei & Jaden: 4000 LP

"We do this as a Battle Royal Duel," the left Trueman announced. "We can choose which opponent to target, or choose to assist them in anyway."

"And with that being said, I'll start this duel off," the right Trueman stated, drawing his six cards, before looking at them. "First off, I play the spell card known as Future Fusion. With this, I can send any number of monsters from my deck to the graveyard to summon a fusion type monster. The best thing about it, Jaden Yuki, is that you don't have to guess what I'm about to bring out."

Jaden growled in annoyance. "This is bad."

"Why? What is this guy planning?" I asked, not liking this already.

"I send five differently named dragons from my deck to the graveyard, and in two turns I get to summon mine and my clones most powerful monster," the right Trueman stared, sending five cards from his deck to the graveyard with a smirk.

"Five dragons?!" the one known as Alexis screeched in horror. "But the only monster that needs five dragons is..."

"No way," Chazz muttered in shock. "Is he going to summon that monster?!"

I started racking my head through all the possible Dragon-Type fusion monsters I've learnt and read about, until I came up with a scary conclusion. "Hang on. Is he going to summon the Five-Headed Dragon?!"

Jaden nodded grimly.

"Well, that won't matter. We just have to beat these two before it comes out."

"I wouldn't be so sure about that if I were you," the right Trueman smirked. "I'll admit, I do have to wait two turns for the effect of Future Fusion to kick in, but I can change all that with this next card." He picked another card from his hand, looking extremely confident. "I activate Dragons Mirror, and with it comes the end of the line for you two."

"This isn't good," I said with wide eyes.

"Ya' think?" Jaden said incredulously. "Yusei, get ready because here it comes!"

"You're wise to be afraid, Jaden Yuki," the right one smirked. "And now, by the effect of Dragons Mirror, I remove the five dragons that are in my graveyard to summon the ultimate monster!"

Five dragons briefly appeared on the field, only to be sucked into a massive portal of dark colours such as deep ocean blue, blood red and shadow black.

"Dragon with heads so fierce, come to me now and be my most loyal servant!" the right-side Trueman called out. "Show our ill-fated foe the true power of darkness, and send he and his comrade to the eternal shadows! I Fusion Summon! Come forth, FIVE-HEADED DRAGON!"

With an earth shattering roar, the most colossal dragon ever to be created in Duel Monsters history emerged in a column of black shadows, snarling at us with its five heads. One head was wreathed in flames; another in a torrent of water; one made out of dark mist; the other made out of crumbling rocks and the centre one was the most ordinary of all.

(Five-Headed Dragon - 5000/5000)

"Five-Headed Dragon on the first move," the kid Syrus whimpered in a frightened tone.

"Jaden! Yusei! Get out of there before it's too late!" the one called Chazz shouted to us. "You can't stand up to that thing! Not when it has that many attack points!"

"Chazz is right! Nothing can stop that thing! It's practically unstoppable in battle!" Alexis screamed, trying to get to us but the Gravekeeper guards held her back.

"That's where you're wrong, Lexi," Jaden said with a confident smile before he glared back at the gigantic dragon in front of him. "That thing can be destroyed. It has one tragic flaw as far as I know."

"Be that is...?" I asked, waiting for an answer.

"It can only be destroyed in battle by a monster that's LIGHT attributed," Jaden said, obviously thinking hard and fast. "And some of the monsters in my deck are LIGHT based, but they're nowhere near as strong as that thing right in front of us."

I looked back at the dragon, trying to formulate a plan that would work against that beast. Five thousand attack points... How I'm gonna be able to top that, I don't know. However, if there's one monster that I can count on, it's my ace: Stardust Dragon. He's a WIND attributed monster, but I had a feeling Jaden would pull through with that problem.

"Then I end my turn with one facedown," the right Trueman announced, turning to his copies version. "Your turn, partner."

"Certainly," the left Trueman said, drawing his sixth card. "And you know what? I'll do the same thing my associate did. I too activate my Future Fusion. Now, by sending five dragons from my deck to the graveyard, in two turns I can summon my own Five-Headed Dragon!"

"No way," me and Jaden muttered in shock.

"But why bother waiting when I can summon it right now with my own Dragons Mirror? Now come forth, my mighty FIVE-HEADED DRAGON!"

Just like before, another five headed monster appeared on the field, snarling loudly in our direction.

(Five-Headed Dragon - 5000/5000)

"One was bad enough," Chazz exclaimed, staring at the sight of the two massive goliath's. "Now they have to face two of them? This could be a very short duel."

"Jaden Yuki," the Chief called from behind us. "You and your friend must retreat!"

"What would be the point in that?" Jaden said with a calm smile. "In all honesty, this is what duelling is all about. It's all about seeing if you're up to any challenge, no matter how hard it is. If that isn't fun, then I don't know what is." Without looking at the two multiple headed dragons, he pointed at them. "And mine and Yusei's goal is to take those two freaks of nature out!"

"That's right!" I nodded with a smile also. "In all my experience in Duel Monsters, I've never faced off against Five-Headed Dragon, much less two of them. And this is one duel I'm not backing out of, and I know that Jaden isn't either. So I say enough of trying to get us out of it, and let us rev things up!"

Everyone looked hesitant, but they let us be to duel the two Trueman goons.

"Alright then, let's see how well you stand up to me again! Here goes!" Jaden shouted, drawing his card. "First up, I summon my Elemental HERO Bubbleman in defence mode!"

(Elemental HERO Bubbleman - 800/1200)

"And when he's all alone on my side of the field, then I get to draw two more cards, giving me seven cards to work with! Then, I'm activating this: E-Emergency Call, which lets me add any Elemental HERO from my deck to my hand, and he monster I'm choosing is my Elemental HERO Neos!"

"What difference does that make?" the right Trueman demanded. "That monster only has twenty five hundred attack points. Plus, you need two monsters to summon him and you've only got one. Plus, you can't summon anymore monsters this turn."

"I'm getting to that," Jaden said, feigning annoyance. "Next up, I activate Polymerization to fuse my Neos with the Elemental HERO Bladedge that's in my hand!"

Both monsters appeared on the field, only to get sucked into a warping portal of sky blue, strawberry red and clear white colours.

"Legendary hero of Neo Space, merge with the golden blade master! Show our opponents what you can do when you can conquer their dragons! I Fusion Summon...Elemental HERO Neos Knight!"

The Knight version of Neos appeared on the field in a flash of golden light, doubled bladed sword and shield at the ready.

(Elemental HERO Neos Knight - 2500/1000)

"And thanks to my monsters special ability, he gains attacks points equal to half of Bladedges attack strength!"

(Elemental HERO Neos Knight - 3800/1000)

"And now, I activate my H-Heated Heart spell card, which gives my Neos Knight an extra five hundred attack points!"

(Elemental HERO Neos Knight - 4300/1000)

"All that effort and your monster is still weaker than our two mighty dragons," the left Trueman smirked.

"Did you forget that I'm not done yet?" Jaden snapped. "Next up is Pot Of Greed, which lets me draw two cards from my deck. And now I'll activate one of them: the Skyscraper field spell!"

As soon as he activated it, the ground started rumbling wildly, and pretty soon massive buildings shot out of the dirt, rising high in the sky as Jaden raised his duel disk in the air.

"With this out, your mighty dragons don't stand a chance, because here an Elemental HERO gains one thousand attack points if it's weaker than the opposing monster!"

"Say what?!" the left Trueman snarled in dismay.

"Impossible!" the right exclaimed.

"Alright Neos Knight, take that Five-Headed Dragon on the left out!" Jaden shouted, punching his fist outwards. "Cosmic Sabre Slash!"

(Elemental HERO Neos Knight - 5300/1000)

Neos Knight rushed forwards, raising his sword upwards and cleaving the top part of it into the dragons chest, causing the towering dragon to screech loudly as it exploded into millions of golden particles.

Trueman 1&2: 3700 LP
Yusei & Jaden: 4000 LP

"So what?" Left Trueman demanded. "It will take more than that to stop my dragon! I activate my face down trap card: Call Of The Haunted! When one of my monsters is destroyed, I can instantly bring it back!"

His dragon rose once again, roaring loudly as it settled next to his master.

(Five-Headed Dragon - 5000/5000)

"I hate to break it to you Trueman, but that dragon of yours is not gonna stay around for long!" Jaden announced. He looked behind him, towards his three friends. "Guys, wanna tell Trueman what Neos Knights special ability is?"

"Of course!" Syrus shouted in excitement, jumping up and down. "Neos Knight can attack twice per turn!"

"So even though Trueman brought his dragon back with Call Of The Haunted..." Chazz mused out.

"Jaden can attack it again a second time!" Alexis finished off in amazement.

"Oh no!" Left Trueman exclaimed as he stumbled backwards.

"Neos Knight, attack his Five-Headed Dragon one more time!" Jaden shouted, punching his fist outwards again. "Go, Cosmic Sabre Slash!"

His monster rushed forwards again, and slashed at the dragons middle head, slicing it in two as it reared backwards, exploding into particles once more.

Trueman 1&2: 3400 LP
Yusei & Jaden: 4000 LP

Both Trueman copies growled in annoyance. The defeat of their dragon obviously pissed them off, but at the moment I didn't care. No one had ever managed to defeat the infamous Five-Headed Dragon before, except for Yugi Muto, and now here was Jaden who surprised even me with that attack.

"And now, for my second Main Phase, I activate the spell card De-Fusion! This splits my monster back into the two original monsters I used to summon him! So come on back Elemental HERO'S Neos and Bladedge!"

Both of his monsters returned to the field, ready for action like they were created and used for.

(Elemental HERO Neos - 2500/2000)

(Elemental HERO Bladedge - 2600/1200)

"Next up, I play my Card Of Sanctity, which enables all of us to draw from our decks until we all have six in our hands, so that means I can draw three cards. Then I'll throw down four facedown cards, and give Yusei a shot," Jaden said, turning to me. "It's on you, Yusei. Let 'em have it!"

"It would be my pleasure," I said, drawing my seventh card. "First off, I play this: my Pot Of Desires spell card. By banishing the top ten cards of my deck, I get to draw an additional two cards. Now, I play Graceful Charity: this let's me draw three cards from my deck but then I have to discard two of them, but that's a small price I'm willing to pay because I'm gonna bring them back sooner than you think. Next, I special summon Unknown Synchron from my hand in attack mode!"

A glassy grey ball appeared on the field, electricity surrounding it like a miniature thunderstorm.

(Unknown Synchron - 0000/0000)

"When my opponent controls a monster, and I don't have any on my field, this card can be special summoned. Next, I normal summon my Junk Synchron in attack mode!"

A small orange man appeared on the field, its arms waving and its orange hat almost falling g off of him.

(Junk Synchron - 1300/500)

"And thanks to his special ability, now I can be able to bring back a level two or lower monster from my graveyard - like my Sonic Chick!"

A pink duck like creature appeared alongside my two Tuner monsters, its small wings flapping.

(Sonic Chick - 300/300)

"And then, I'll activate my Quilbolt Hedgehogs special ability: since he's in the graveyard, and that I have a Tuner monster on my field, I can bring him back to the field! Welcome back, buddy!"

A small hedgehog with bolts on its back for spikes appeared alongside my monsters, giving out a small squeak.

(Quilbolt Hedgehog - 800/800)

"Okay, that's a lot of monsters on the field in one go," Alexis said with surprised eyes. "But why summon them in attack mode, when he's up against a dragon with five thousand attack points?"

"Because I'm not done with the summoning," I said, opening up the extra deck section of my duel disk. "Now then, let's get to it, shall we? I tune my level three Junk Synchron with my level one Sonic Chick and level two Quilbolt Hedgehog!"

All my monsters jumped into the sky, my orange Tuner monster bursting into three emerald rings as they enveloped my two other monsters.

(3 + 2 + 1 = LV6)

"I Synchro Summon! Bringing up the defence is my all powerful Junk Gardna!"

A huge bulky mass shot down from the sky, landing right in front of us with shield covered metal arms, its green metal body shining in emerald colours.

(Junk Gardna - 1400/2600)

"A new summoning method?" Left Trueman asked with a little interest in his voice. "This is unheard of. I've seen many forms of summoning a monster, but not a Synchro Summon."

"A Synchro Summon?!" Chazz asked in bewilderment and shock. "What is that? I've never heard of that kind of summoning method before!"

I looked over my shoulder. "Synchro Summoning is when I use a Tuner monster to merge my other monsters into a whole new monster. However, they've got to equal the combined total of the Synchro monster that you want to summon."

"That's awesome!" Syrus said in amazement. "I mean, I knew you were from the future but I didn't know duelling evolved so much!"

"And I'm not done yet," I said, pointing to my other Tuner monster. "I've still got one more monster to use. Jaden, do you mind if I use one of your monsters?"

"Hey, what's mine is yours pal," Jaden said, giving me a thumbs up.

"In that case, I tune my Unknown Synchron with Jaden's Elemental HERO Bladedge!"

The two monsters flew into the air, my Tuner monster turning into a light green ring of energy as it encircled Jaden's golden armoured monster. At the same time, the Crimson Dragon appeared behind me and shot right into the sky as it collided with the two monsters combining, causing a huge explosion of light.

(1 + 7 = LV8)

"And with these two comes one! I call upon the Crimson Dragon to aid me summon a cosmic surge so mighty, that nothing can stop its star shattering power! I Synchro Summon! Come forth, Level 8! The Shooting Star, Stardust Dragon!"

My sparkling stardust ace flew down from the sky, its wing extending as it roared loudly as the sun shone down on it. Next to Elemental HERO Neos, that made two cosmic monsters that were on the field.

(Stardust Dragon - 2500/2000)

"Whoa!" Chazz breathed out in surprise, looking up at my ace. "Okay, I didn't know you could summon something like that! I've seen cosmic monsters before, but never something like that!"

Alexis said nothing, but the look in her eyes said it all. She was impressed and in awe at the sight of the dragon I had called to the field. I mean, I knew Akiza had a similar look on her face when she first saw it in our first battle together...despite the fact that she tried very hard to knock me unconscious during our duel.

"Trueman, your five headed behemoth stands no chance against my mighty dragon. And with the help I've got from Jaden, you're going to lose this duel," I announced with a confident smile.

"Not quite," Right Trueman snapped. "Even if you've summoned a monster with a summoning technique I've never seen before, you can't destroy my monster. Remember, my Five-Headed Dragon cannot be destroyed by WIND, EARTH, FIRE, DARK and WATER based monsters. Your Stardust Dragon is a WIND based monster, so you can't destroy my monster."

I knew he was right: none of my monsters were strong enough to face off against that dragon of theirs. Plus, the only card that could be able to beat their dragon was Neos, but he was weak as well. Just then, I looked to my left and saw that Jaden was doubled over and laughing his head off. We all looked confused at him.

"Oh god," Jaden said, brushing s fake tear from his cheek. "You honestly think that? Guess again."

He pressed a button on his duel disk, and one of his facedown cards sprung upwards and revealed itself.

"I activate the trap card known as Neos Spark: this allows me to change the attribute of one of my opponents monsters to any attribute I choose. Since you've turned this into a battle royal, that makes Yusei my opponent as well as my tag partner. So I'm changing the attribute of his Stardust Dragon to LIGHT!"

"Impossible!" both Trueman's yelled in dismay.

"Next up, I activate the spell card known as Synchro Soul!" I announced, showing them a spell card that had the image of one monster in spirit form with its arms outstretched. "With this card, by sacrificing one Synchro Monster on my field, I can give one of my other Synchro Monsters a power boost equalling that of the sacrificed monster. So by releasing my Junk Gardna from the field, I can raise my Stardust Dragons attack strength by fourteen hundred!"

(Stardust Dragon - 3900/2000)

"Then I activate my second facedown: Cosmic Storm! When Neos is on my side of the field, I can select one of the monsters in my graveyard, banish it, and add its attack strength to any other monster on the field! So I'm adding the attack strength of my Elemental HERO Bladedge to Yusei's Stardust Dragon!" Jaden announced.

(Stardust Dragon - 6500/2000)

"Grr," Right Trueman snarled loudly. "Fine then, attack my monster, I'll still be in the duel! You need something a lot more stronger than that to wipe me and my partner out!"

"Wrong again!" Jaden smirked. "You see, Trueman: I've dealt with you before, and I know what you're like. Cruel, greedy and over-confident in your duelling methods. That is your biggest flaw. You see, a real duellist knows how to properly read and know his opponent in a duel, and when he spots something that can be used against their opponent, they take that chance. And right now, your flaw is that you think that nothing can stop the Five-Headed Dragon. I disagree, because not only have I found a way to beat it, but me and Yusei are also gonna knock you into next week."

He looked at me and winked. I looked down at the two facedown cards that he had out still, and I smiled at what he was implying.

"Jaden is right," I said, getting the two Truemans attention. "I've learnt a lot from my time in the future, and I've come to respect my opponents. But there are also the ones that don't deserve any of it because of the way they duel with their cards: treating them with disrespect and only caring about the strong cards that they can use. Well you know what, I won't stand for it. Because if there's one thing I've learnt, it's that no card is weak or useless. And me and Jaden are about to prove it! You ready, Jaden?!"

"Let's do this!" Jaden said, clenching his right fist tightly.

"We activate the trap card known as Neos Spiral Force!" we both shouted, revealing the picture of Neos smashing what looked like the screen of the card with cosmic energy.

"When Neos is on the field, for this turn only, he can't attack. However-" Jaden started to speak.

"-the attack points of one other monster gets doubled!" I finished, pointing at Stardust Dragon. "And the monster we're choosing is-"

"Stardust Dragon!" we both shouted again.

The cosmic white dragon roared triumphantly as it began to grow to almost half the size of the Five-Headed Dragon, which started backing away as it stared down at my ace.

(Stardust Dragon - 13000/2000)

"Thirteen thousand attack points?!" both Trueman screamed in horror.

"Stardust Dragon!" I yelled.

"Take aim at Five-Headed Dragon-" Jaden shouted.

"-and ATTACK!" we both screamed.

Stardust Dragon shot into the air, flinging its head and neck backwards as cosmic energy pooled in its mouth.

"I am not going to let you destroy my monster!" Right Trueman roared. "I activate my Trap Booster spell card, which makes me discard one card in my hand to activate a trap card right away! And the card I'm choosing is my Mirror Force! With it, I can destroy every face-up attacking monster!"

"Not gonna happen! I activate my fourth and last facedown: Bubble Illusion! You see, when Bubbleman is out on my field, and I activate this facedown, I get to play a trap and it comes out of my hand! And what better trap to play then my Trap Jammer?!"

"Alright! With that card, he can negate the activation of any trap card his opponent activates!" Alexis said.

"So Mirror Force is negated!" Syrus leaped in joy.

"This cannot be!" Right Trueman screamed as his trap was destroyed, before its effect activated.

"We've got nothing to defend ourselves against his dragon!" Left Trueman exclaimed, sweat drops rushing down his face. "If there's nothing we can use to stop their attack, we're done for! Master Nightshroud will be furious!"

"You've got that right!" we told them. "Now go Stardust Dragon, attack with Hyper Cosmic Flare!"

My dragon sent a blast of sparkling white energy towards Truemans dragon, which roared in agony and fury as it was blasted by the intense energy beam. It screeched loudly before exploding, creating a shockwave which blew against everyone. The two Truemans howled in fury and pain as they both disintegrated on the spot, turning into black shadow cards before they turned to dust, and all traces of them were gone.

We had won the duel.

Trueman 1&2: 0 LP
Jaden & Yusei: 4000 LP

Without saying anything, me and Jaden deactivated our duel disks and turned to face each other sideways. We nodded with a smile before turning to face the others. To our surprise, all the Gravekeeper guards gave us a loud battle cheer, clapping their hands as we walked forward to Jaden's friends, who rushed outwards.

"Now that's how you duel like a pro!" Chazz exclaimed, patting Jaden hard on the back. "You and Yusei just took out one of Duel Monsters toughest monsters like it was nothing!"

"You did it! You actually did it!" Alexis rushed forward and literally lunged at Jaden, hugging him tightly which made him blush slightly, much to my amusement. Though he did hug back with as much joy, and swept her off her feet, swinging her around in circles, making her laugh and tighten her hug with Jaden.

Syrus didn't say anything, though he did laugh and jump onto Jaden's back, making Jaden laugh as well.

Then they all turned to me, literally asking how I was able to do all that Synchro summoning. Chazz was the one asking the most while Syrus just stared at me with awe in his eyes. Alexis gave me a sideways glance, her arms still around Jaden as she hugged him tightly. She gave me an impressed and thankful look.

The Chief came forward, clapping his hands before stopping in front of us. "An impressive duel, Jaden Yuki and Yusei Fudo. You have shown true bravery out there, and have earned my respect as a duellist."

Me and Jaden both nodded in thanks.

"Those were some pretty sweet moves you made, Yusei," Jaden told me, lightly punching my shoulder.

"Hey, I couldn't have done it without you helping me out," I told him, patting his shoulder. "Otherwise we would've lost the duel. Just like old times, eh?"

Jaden chuckled at the thought. "Yep." Then he looked at his deck, which was glowing again. "Ooh, I think it's time we got back to our dimension."

He turned towards the Chief, bowing deeply. "We apologise for entering your world, Chief."

The Chief kindly waved it off. "No worries. You have saved us from what appeared to be the main reason why you were brought here. We have heard of this 'Nightshroud' man you have faced. We will continue to defend this dimension from any further attacks that might eventually reveal themselves. In he mean time, I suggest you and the Supreme King return to your world and keep it safe, Jaden Yuki."

Jaden nodded in agreement. "Understood. But don't let your guard down when it comes to anyone like Trueman snooping around. Be cautious at all times."

The Chief nodded, before there was a bright aura surrounding me, Jaden and his friends. Soon, we were disintegrating like before and the whole world went completely white, making me pass out for a moment.
==========

"Yo! Sleepyhead! Wake up, Yusei!"

I groaned as I finally opened my eyes, looking at the still stormy sky as it continued raining heavily down on all of us. I looked around and saw that we had fallen on the coastal beach, almost three miles away from where I crash landed outside the ruins. Jaden was at my side, lying on his back as he struggled to sit up. Chazz had the top part of his body buried in a sand heap, his legs sticking up in the end. Syrus was lying on his side as he slowly started to regain consciousness.

Alexis was next to Jaden, her right arm lying on Jaden's chest. She didn't know it yet, but she was snuggled right next to Jaden, her head lying in the crook of his shoulder and arm. She was starting to wake up, but like me and Jaden, she couldn't move a muscle.

"Can't move too, huh?" Jaden awkwardly said to me. "Don't worry, it always happens when I get sent back to the original dimension I come from. It'll take a few minutes until we can be able to move."

Alexis blushed as she finally saw the position we were in. But she smiled and just closed her eyes. "Well, I can think of much worse situations than this."

Jaden blushed like a red tomato. "Well...glad you think that."

I started laughing, which in turn made Jaden and Alexis laugh as well. Chazz, who had finally fallen out of the sand dune he was in, a little grumpy but he was laughing as well, along with Syrus who had woken up.

I knew that I had just come out from my timeline, but I was glad that I was with a friend that I could trust.
