Chapter 4: A Battle Between Crystal Beast and Red-Eyes! Neptune vs Noire!

Location: Unknown

After winning his "Exhibition Duel" against his own shadow, Azure wiped his forehead, removing any kind of sweat that accumulated during his Duel, then he removed his scarf from his mouth, and finally made his way over to the CPUs, wondering what they all thought.

Azure: *Deep Breath* Whew... So, what did you guys think? Pretty cool, right?

Naturally, Neptune was the first one to answer.

Neptune: THAT WAS SO AWESOME!!! You showed that fake of yours who's boss!

Vert: Yes, I have to agree with Neptune. That was a very impressive Duel, Azure.

Blanc: I can definitely see why it's such a great game from your world.

Azure rubbed the back of his head, all while chuckling slightly.

Azure: Hahahaha... Aw, well shucks, guys. You're making me blush.

Noire: Azure!

Azure noticed Noire walking up to him, and when she got close enough, she looked at him with a serious look on her face, except her face had a slight blush.

Noire: That was... a very interesting Duel you had there. Also, congratulations on winning, by the way.

Azure just cheekily smiled at Noire, making her cross her arms and huffed back at him.

Noire: Though I have to admit, that was a rather unorthodox strategy of yours to win.

Azure: You think?

Noire: Yeah, there's actually something I would like to know about, if you don't mind.

Azure: By all means, lay it on me!

Noire: Can I... take a look at your cards?

Azure: Sure.

Azure then removed all of his cards from his Duel Disk, reshuffled them together, and handed them over to Noire.

Azure: Here you go.

Noire: Oh, thanks.

After looking through at least 10 to 15 of his cards, Noire came across the one she was more interested in. She then pulled it from the deck and revealed it to everyone that was present.

Neptune: Hey, isn't that?

Vert: Yes it is.

The one card that Noire revealed to everyone was a card with a silver border that featured an image of a monster that looked familiar to them. It was the same dragon that Azure was able to Synchro Summon during his Duel with his clone.

Noire: "Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon"...

Azure: Oh yeah, that card is my ace... and is quite special to me.

Blanc looked at him somewhat confused.

Blanc: Azure-Eyes is... special to you? How so?

Vert: If memory serves, you mentioned something about this card as your "All-time favorite monster" and even your "Good friend," if I'm not mistaken?

Flashback

Azure: But that's not all! Now that I have my Blue-Eyes back on the field, I tune my LVL 1 "Maiden with Eyes of Blue" with my LVL 8 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" in order to Synchro Summon my all-time favorite monster.

Then, as soon as Azure exclaimed himself, light suddenly came out of Maiden with Eyes of Blue's body completely engulfed her, causing her to turn into pure blue energy. Said energy then turned into a single star that then turned into 3 green rings that started heading toward Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Once Blue-Eyes went through these rings, its body became outlined and see-through.

A massive green beam appeared besides Azure as his Synchro Summon proved to be successful.

Azure: Say hello to my good friend, Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon!!!

When the green light dissipated, a brand-new monster appeared on the field, letting out a powerful, yet slightly modified version of Blue-Eyes White Dragon's signature roar. The monster was a muscular, silver colored dragon that looked almost identical to Blue-Eyes White Dragon, except it had glowing azure blue eyes and golden nails on its hands, arms, feet, and wings.

Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon - (LIGHT/Dragon/Synchro/Effect) - (LVL: 9/ATK: 2500/DEF: 3000)

Flashback End

Azure: Oh, yeah. The thing is... this card is special for a number of reasons, though the two that immediately come to mind are as follows.

Azure walked up to Noire and easily swiped the card from her hand.

Azure: For one thing, there's only one version of this card back from where I come from, and secondly... [1]

Azure then stared at the card, with a calming smile on his face.

Azure: This card's been in my deck for as long as I've played Duel Monsters. No matter who it is or what sort of deck they have, I've always counted on Azure-Eyes to come through for me.

Neptune and the others all looked at Azure with a surprised look on their faces.

Neptune: Wow, it sure feels like you have some kind of weird connection with that card.

Azure placed his Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon card back into his deck and then placed his cards into a small pouch that was on his belt.

Azure: Well then, I believe now would be the right time for you girls to start Dueling, am I right?

Hearing this made the goddesses excited, as watching Azure duel made them want to start as soon as possible.

Neptune: Woohoo, it's time for Neptune to get her game on!

Noire: Hmph! Don't think I'll go and lose to any of you.

Vert: Oh, this is most exciting! I most certainly am looking forward to competing with all of you!

Blanc: I guess it could be fun.

Azure just smiled at all four of the CPUs acting like a bunch of friends who all got together at the mall.

Azure: Alright guys, let's get down to business. As there are five of us here, that means we'll only have two duels. So, who wants to go first?

Neptune instantly raised her hand, as she could not control her excitement.

Neptune: Oh me me! I wanna Duel first, and my opponent can be... Noire!

Noire: Alright then, Neptune. But don't go thinking that I'll go easy on you just because it's my first time playing Duel Monsters!

Neptune: Oh yeah, well bring it on, Noire!

Azure just smirked at the two girls.

Azure: Alright then, Neptune and Noire... the two of you will go first, then Blanc and Vert will go next.

He then turned around to Vert and Blanc.

Azure: You two are okay with Noire and Neptune going first, right?

Blanc: I don't see any problem with going second.

Vert: Yes, I agree with Blanc.

Azure: Alright. Now with that out of the way, there's something I gotta do first.

Then, all of a sudden, one of Azure's eyes glowed a mysterious red color and a portal appeared right behind Azure, leaving the others shocked. Azure then turned around and began walking towards the portal, but not before turning back to the others.

Azure: You're free to come along if you want. Besides, I'd figured a change in scenery would be nice.

Neptune and the others looked at each other, before they all nodded at each other and walked through the portal, alongside their friend in blue. After they all made it through the portal, it suddenly began to shrink rapidly until it suddenly disappeared, leaving almost any trace of its existence with it.

Location: Shounen City

Time: 6:00AM

At the crack of dawn, where the sky lit up because of the sky rising in the distance and the sky itself was filled with colors of orange and blue, was a massive city near Japan that was located near a group of mountains. Some of its notable buildings and arenas include:

A group of schools, which include an elementary school, two middle schools, a high school, and three community colleges.

Two notable cafes, one of which is apparently world famous for its crépes.

A video arcade.

A large park arena.

A river overlook.

A mountain pass.

A large shopping plaza.

An art museum.

Location: Shounen City - Azure's House

Time: 6:00AM

Once the portal rematerizaled, the CPUs and Azure all appeared in front of a two-story house in a relatively small neighborhood.

Neptune: Whoa, where are we?

Azure took a deep breath and smiled at the sight of the house.

Azure: Glad you asked. This house that we transported to is where I live.

Vert: So you're saying this is your home?

Azure: Yeah, it's a pretty nice place for me to call my own.

Azure walked up to the front door, but then he looked underneath the "Welcome Home" mat and found a spare key. After unlocking it, Azure opened the door, with the others following him inside.

Azure: Oh yeah, if you guys don't mind, could you maybe take your shoes/boots off? No offense, but I don't want any stains on the floor and carpet. [2]

After the CPUs took off their shoes/boots and left them by the doorstep, Azure led everyone upstairs to his bedroom, which had a grayish-blue painted wall and was decked out with several things he had throughout the years.

Azure: Well, this is my room. Please make yourselves comfortable.

Neptune instantly jumped onto the bed, with Vert sitting down on the bed as well, Noire standing near the closet door, and Blanc sitting in a black bean bag chair.

Noire: Excuse me, Azure?

Azure: Yeah, what's up?

Noire: Well, sorry to ask you this, but what sort of business do you have back in your house?

Azure ignored Noire's question and pulled out a large silver colored laptop from a black protective sleeve that was on his desk and turned it on.

After typing in the password to his laptop, the screen revealed a website that featured a database on it.

Blanc: What are you doing?

Azure: This is a website that acts as a database. It's a great way to help people build their deck, exactly the way they want it.

After explaining himself, Azure began to type something on his laptop, then he pointed at both Neptune and Noire to come near his desk.

Azure: Okay you two, now here comes the fun part: the construction of your own deck.

Noire: So, how exactly will this be handled?

Azure: Leave everything to me.

Then, after a bit more typing on his computer, it began to showcase a very detailed biography of Neptune.

Azure: Begin deck analysis.

Computer: Engage EM algorithm, maximum value. Scanning... Analyzing...

Then, a few beeps were suddenly heard as the computer had finished analysing what sort of deck Neptune would possess.

Computer: Analysis: Complete. Neptune a.k.a CPU Purple Heart = Crystal Beast Archetype... 100% compatibility.

Azure: Hmm... Interesting. Alright Noire, it's your turn.

Azure then resumed typing on his desktop, and it then showed another detailed biography, however, this time it was of Noire.

Azure: Begin second deck analysis.

Computer: Engage EM algorithm, maximum value. Scanning... Analyzing...

Then, a few beeps were suddenly heard as the computer had finished analysing what sort of deck Noire would possess.

Computer: Analysis: Complete. Noire a.k.a CPU Black Heart = Red-Eyes Archetype... 100% compatibility.

Azure just chuckled as the two girls, after hearing what sort of deck they would be receiving.

Azure: The Crystal Beast Archetype for Neptune and the Red-Eyes Archetype for Noire? Not gonna lie, I'm surprised you two are even compatible with those kinds of decks.

After the computer was finished with its analysis, it then began to provide the two girls with their respective decks, as the cards suddenly materialized into thin air and appeared on Azure's deck.

Azure: Eureka! Here you go, your own deck.

Neptune and Noire smiled at Azure and they both took their own deck from his desk and began examining it.

Neptune: Wow! All these cards look so cool!

Noire: Huh, not too shabby.

Azure: Alright guys, now that you each have your own deck, it's time for you to start Dueling.

Both CPUs looked at Azure, before they nodded at him and inserted their deck into their respective Duel Disks.

Azure then got up out of his chair and walked towards the door.

Azure: Everyone, follow me, we'll have the Duel outside.

Everyone else nodded and followed him out of his room.

Location: Azure's House - Backyard

Time: 7:30AM

After an hour or so passed (with Azure even fixing everyone something to eat for breakfast), Neptune, Noire, Vert, Blanc, and Azure were all outside in the backyard of Azure's home.

Once the two girls made their way onto the grass, they both immediately took their places, with Neptune standing on the right side of the field, with a cheeky smile on her face, and Noire standing on the left side, with a confident smirk on her face.

Meanwhile, Blanc, Vert and Azure were spectators, watching from the porch side of the house.

Vert: This should be interesting.

Blanc nodded at Vert's comment.

Blanc: Now we'll see those two Duel each other. I wonder what's going to happen.

Neptune looked at Noire and smiled at her "tsundere" friend.

Neptune: Are you ready, Noire?

Noire: Ready, Neptune!

Then, after they both activated their Duel Disks, both Neptune and Noire yelled out the exact same word in unison.

Both: Let's Duel!!!

Neptune/Purple Heart: 8000 LP - Hand: 5

Noire/Black Heart: 8000 LP - Hand: 5

Turn 1: Neptune/Purple Heart

Neptune: Yo, Noire, do you mind if I go first?

Noire: Sure Neptune, be my guest.

Neptune: Thanks. Here we go.

After pulling a card from her deck, Neptune looked at the card she just drew and commenced her turn.

Neptune: For my first move, I'll play the Spell Card: Double Summon. This allows me to summon up to two monsters, instead of just one.

Double Summon showed a card with an image of a lion-type monster, and a warrior performing some kind of magic spell.

Double Summon - (Spell Card: Normal)

After explaining the effects of Double Summon, her Duel Disk shuffled her deck automatically and ejected one card from it, which she took from the deck and saw that it was just the card she needed.

Neptune: Now, I'll summon Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise in Defense Mode.

A bright light suddenly emerged from the ground as the monster appeared on Neptune's side of the field. It was a massive teal colored turtle with emerald green eyes and a blue shell that had various green crystals on its shell.

Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise - (WATER/Aqua/Effect) - (LVL: 3/ATK: 600/DEF: 2000)

Neptune: And thanks to my Spell Card, I can also summon Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger in Attack Mode.

The second monster that appeared on Neptune's field was a white tiger with yellow eyes and blades embedded in all four of its legs, as well as one on its forehead.

Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger - (EARTH/Beast/Effect) - (LVL: 4/ATK: 1600/DEF: 1000)

Neptune: Now I'll place a card face-down and that'll end my turn.

Neptune/Purple Heart: 8000 LP - Hand: 1

Noire/Black Heart: 8000 LP - Hand: 5

Turn 2: Noire/Black Heart

Noire: Well, looks like it's my turn. I draw.

Noire drew a card from her deck and looked at what card she just drew.

Noire: I summon Dark Blade in Attack Mode.

It was then that a knight appeared on Noire's side of the field, wearing jet black armor with silver spikes embedded in the armor, a long red cape, and he was also wielding twin blades in both his hands.

Dark Blade - (DARK/Warrior) - (LVL: 4/ATK: 1800/DEF: 1500)

Noire: Now Dark Blade, attack Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger!

The dark knight obeyed Noire's command and attacked Neptune's monster by slicing it in half with its dual blades, destroying Topaz Tiger completely.

Neptune/Purple Heart LP: 8000 - (200) = 7800

Noire: But I'm not done yet! Next, I activate the Spell Card: Raigeki, allowing me to destroy all the monsters my opponent controls.

The card that Noire showed had a deadly bolt of lightning.

Raigeki - (Spell Card: Normal)

Several bolts of electricity appeared from Noire's field and instantly destroyed Emerald Tortoise.

Noire: And with that, I end my turn by placing one card face-down. It's your move, Neptune.

As the Duel began with Noire taking the lead, Azure and the others watched with anticipation.

Azure: Well well, looks like this Duel is off to an interesting start.

Blanc: I agree. Noire managed to destroy both monsters on Neptune's field without much issue.

Vert: Yes, that is true. However, I wouldn't say that Neptune is out of the woods just yet. Let's just see what her next move will be.

Neptune/Purple Heart: 7800 LP - Hand: 1+1

Noire/Black Heart: 8000 LP - Hand: 2

Turn 3: Neptune/Purple Heart

Neptune: Okay, now it's my turn!

Neptune then drew a card from her deck and looked at what card she just drew. But before she announced what her next move would be, something unexpected happened.

A bright light suddenly emerged from the ground and then, two gemstones (the first one being green and the second one being yellow) appeared in Neptune's Spell/Trap Card Zones, leaving everyone (with the exception of Azure) confused.

Neptune and Noire: What the?

Blanc: Are those... crystals?

Vert: How unusual...

Curious at the strange anomaly, both Neptune and Noire looked at Azure, who was casually standing on the porch.

Neptune: Hey, Azure?

Azure: Hmm? Is something the matter?

Noire: Well, it's just that... What are these crystals doing on Neptune's side of the field? As far as I know, she didn't activate any Spell/Trap cards during my turn!

Azure: Okay, I guess I gotta explain this now, don't I? Alright class, listen up! Here's how the Crystal Beasts work: you see, these monsters, in addition to having their own special abilities, all share the same effect of becoming Continuous Spell Cards upon their destruction. Although they have low ATK and DEF, their aforementioned effects allow them to have great staying power.

Everyone found this knowledge to be extremely useful, especially Neptune, who was now seen with a smile on her face.

Neptune: Wow, that is so awesome! Talk about an amazing special ability! Thanks, Azure!

Azure just smirked at the purple-haired Goddess.

Azure: Hey, no problem Nep! Now, back to the Duel.

After regaining her senses, Neptune decided to take the initiative and commence her next move.

Neptune: Right! Now, let's go! First, I summon Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat in Attack Mode.

Neptune's new monster appeared on the field, resembling a feminine-looking panther with pink fur, violet colored eyes, and gold jewelry on its chest with a massive purple gemstone at the center.

Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat - (EARTH/Beast/Effect) - (LVL: 3/ATK: 1200/DEF: 400)

Neptune: Next, I play the Spell Card: Crystal Beacon. This card lets me Special Summon 1 "Crystal Beast" monster from my Deck. And I must have 2 or more "Crystal Beast" cards in my Spell & Trap Zone to activate and to resolve this effect.

Crystal Beacon revealed a purple emerald-shaped gemstone radiating an iridescent light, with several shadows in the background.

Crystal Beacon - (Spell Card: Normal)

After explaining the effects of her Spell Card, Neptune's Duel Disk shuffled her deck automatically and ejected one card from it, which she took from the deck and saw that it was just the card she needed.

Neptune: And the monster that I chose... is none other than Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus!

Another new monster appeared on the field, resembling a winged, white house with silver hair, blue eyes, yellow and white angel wings, and a blue horn embedded in its head.

Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus - (WIND/Beast/Effect) - (LVL: 4/ATK: 1800/DEF: 1200)

Neptune: And with that done, I'll go ahead and end my turn. But not before activating Amethyst Cat's special ability!

Hearing this made Noire look at Neptune confused.

Noire: What special ability?

Neptune simply chuckled at Noire's question.

Neptune: Elementary, my dear Noire. For you see-

Neptune then suddenly interrupted herself as her Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat sprinted towards Noire and used its claws to slash her in the chest, causing her to lose LP as she groaned in pain.

Noire/Black Heart LP: 8000 - (900) = 7100

Afterward, Neptune picked up where she left off.

Neptune: Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat has a pretty cool special ability. This card can attack the opponent directly, but when it uses this effect, any battle damage it inflicts to my opponent is halved.

Noire: AND YOU COULDN'T HAVE TOLD ME THAT SOONER?!!! BEFORE THAT PINK PANTHER OF YOURS DECIDED TO POUNCE ME LIKE I'M ITS PREY?!! [3]

Neptune just responded with a playful, catlike expression.

Neptune: Yeah, whoops. Sorry about that. Anyway, it's your turn.

Neptune/Purple Heart: 7800 LP - Hand: 0

Noire/Black Heart: 7100 LP - Hand: 2+1

Turn 4: Noire/Black Heart

Noire slowly got back up from the last attack.

Noire: Ugh! About time...

After getting back on her feet, Noire was prepared to continue on with the Duel.

Noire: I draw!

Before making a move, Noire had to think about how she was going to deal with Neptune's monsters and those crystals that were in her field.

Noire: (Okay, let's see if I got this figured out. Neptune has two monsters that in Attack Mode, two of her other monsters are now Continuous Spell Cards, and she's got that one face-down card that she hasn't activated yet.)

As soon as she looked at the card she just drew, Noire knew what needed to be done.

Noire: (If I'm not careful, then she'll definitely wipe me out. I can't let that happen!)

Azure looked at Noire with an intrigued look on his face.

Azure: (Noire... Let's see what you can do in this situation.)

Noire: I activate the Spell Card: Pot of Greed. This allows me to draw 2 more cards.

Pot of Greed - (Spell Card: Normal)

Noire: And next, I'll summon Pitch-Dark Dragon to the field.

A deadly, pitch-black dragon then appeared right beside Dark Blade, letting out a menacing roar.

Pitch-Dark Dragon (DARK/Dragon/Effect) - (LVL: 3/ATK: 900/DEF: 600)

Noire: Now that I have these two monsters out, I'll have these two fuse together, by activating the Spell Card: Polymerization!

Polymerization - (Spell Card: Normal)

As the Spell Card appeared on the field, both of Noire's monsters were sucked into a portal and combined into one.

Neptune: No way! A Fusion Summon?

Noire: That's right, Neptune! Say hello to Dark Blade the Dragon Knight!

When the light disappeared, what stood in its place was Dark Blade, except he was now seen riding on the back of Pitch-Dark Dragon.

Dark Blade the Dragon Knight - (DARK/Warrior/Fusion/Effect) - (LVL: 6/ATK: 2200/DEF: 1500)

Neptune looked at Noire's new monster in worry.

Neptune: Yikes, that's one powerful monster!

Noire: Yes it is, now let me show you it's power! Go my Dragon Knight, take down that Amethyst Cat!

The Dragon Knight then attacked Neptune's monster, which he did by commanding the dragon he was riding to fire a massive red stream of fire at Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat. But before it could be destroyed, Neptune smirked and decided to go on the offensive.

Neptune: Gotcha now!

Noire: What?!!

Neptune: Sorry Noire, but... you just activated my Trap Card: Crystal Raigeki!

The face-down card revealed itself to feature a picture of a crystal being struck by electricity.

Crystal Raigeki - (Trap Card: Normal)

Noire: What's that card do?

Neptune: Let me show you! By sending 1 "Crystal Beast" card from my Spell & Trap Card Zone to the Graveyard, I can target 1 card my opponent controls and destroy that target.

Noire: No way!

Then, after explaining what Crystal Raigeki does, Neptune sent Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise from her Spell/Trap Zone to her graveyard. Afterwards, the effects of Crystal Raigeki activated as Dark Blade the Dragon Knight was struck by lightning that came from a blue crystal on the field and was immediately destroyed.

Noire: Tch! Don't think you're in the clear, Neptune! I activate the Spell Card: Poison of the Old Man. And I'll use one of its effects to inflict 800 points of direct damage.

Poison of the Old Man - (Spell Card: Quick-Play)

A bright green energy beam then fired itself directly at Neptune, who could do nothing but bring her arms up to protect herself from the attack.

Neptune/Purple Heart LP: 7800 - (800) = 7000

Noire: I place two cards face-down and that ends my turn.

Neptune/Purple Heart: 7000 LP - Hand: 0+1

Noire/Black Heart: 7100 LP - Hand: 0

Turn 5: Neptune/Purple Heart

Neptune: My turn now. I draw! First, I activate the Spell Card: Crystal Bond. Now I can add 1 "Crystal Beast" monster from my Deck to my hand, and place 1 "Crystal Beast" monster with a different name from my Deck face-up in my Spell & Trap Zone as a Continuous Spell.

Crystal Bond showed an image of Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle being petted by a kind-hearted man (Jesse Anderson).

Crystal Bond - (Spell Card: Normal)

Neptune then drew two new monster cards from her deck.

Neptune: Here goes! First, I'm sending Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle into my Spell & Trap Zone.

As she says this, a red gemstone (Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle) appeared right next to the yellow one (Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger).

Neptune: And now, I summon Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth in Defense Mode.

A massive, elephant-like monster with four large tusks and an orange gem on its forehead appeared on the field.

Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth - (EARTH/Beast/Effect) - (LVL: 4/ATK: 1700/DEF: 1600)

Neptune: Now that I have three monsters and two of my lovely Crystal Beast in my Spell & Trap Zone, I'm ending my turn.

Blanc and Vert were surprised by how Neptune was handling the situation, especially since she's a few LP behind Noire.

However, Azure looked on with anticipation, almost as if he's waiting for something to happen come Neptune's next turn.

Azure: (Three Crystal Beast monsters on the field, two Crystal Beast monsters as Continuous Spell Cards, and one Crystal Beast card in the graveyard... C'mon Neptune, let me see you summon "that" one card...)

Vert: Oh, it looks like it's Noire's turn.

Blanc: Let's see what she's got planned.

Neptune/Purple Heart: 7000 LP - Hand: 0

Noire/Black Heart: 7100 LP - Hand: 0+1

Turn 6: Noire/Black Heart

Noire: My turn. Draw!

Upon drawing her new card, Noire smiled as she had an idea what to do with it.

Noire: I'm ending my turn, Neptune. It's your move.

Neptune/Purple Heart: 7000 LP - Hand: 0+1

Noire/Black Heart: 7100 LP - Hand: 1

Turn 7: Neptune/Purple Heart

Neptune: (Huh? That's weird. Why didn't she didn't do anything?) Oh well, it's my turn! I play the Spell Card: Card of Sanctity!

Card of Sanctity showed two male warriors looking extremely happy as several gold coins were raining down on them.

Card of Sanctity - (Spell Card: Normal)

Neptune: I'm glad you asked. This card allows both of us to draw, until we each have six cards in our hands. [4]

As soon as Neptune explained the effects of her Spell Card, she drew six cards, whilst Noire drew five cards, due to drawing one card during her last turn. Eventually, both of the Goddesses had six cards in each of their hands.

Neptune: Now, I place three cards face-down, and that ends my turn.

Neptune/Purple Heart: 7000 LP - Hand: 3

Noire/Black Heart: 7100 LP - Hand: 6+1

Turn 8: Noire/Black Heart

Noire: Alright, my turn! First, I play the Spell Card: Graceful Charity. This lets me draw three new cards from my deck, then I discard two of them from my hand.

Graceful Charity - (Spell Card: Normal)

After looking at her new cards, it was then that Noire's grin became more prominent as she began to laugh somewhat uncontrollably, as her voice began to deepen a bit.

Neptune, Blanc, and Vert all gasped to see their friend acting a little crazy for absolutely no reason.

Neptune: Uh... Noire? Are you feeling okay?

Blanc: What's going on with her?

Vert: I'm guessing that she's acting like this, because she's managed to get a pretty good card from that last move.

Neptune looked a bit worried as she took Vert's words into consideration.

Neptune: Say what?!! Oh man, this isn't gonna be pretty!

Azure continued to look on, as he could instantly tell what was about to unfold.

Azure: (So, you're finally gonna use him, huh? Alright then, Lady Black Heart, let's see if you got what it takes... to use the "Dragon of Potential.")

While this was going on, Azure pulled out his phone and was secretly contacting someone.

Azure: (I bet she's gonna get a real kick out of this duel.

Back with the Duel, Noire finally calmed down and stopped her insane, hysterical laughter.

Noire: ... Let's do this...

Neptune and the others all paid close attention to what Noire's next move would be.

Noire: I activate the Spell Card: Cards of the Red Stone! With this, I can send Level 7 "Red-Eyes" monster from my hand to the graveyard; then I'm allowed to draw 2 cards, then I can send 1 Level 7 "Red-Eyes" monster from my Deck to the graveyard!

Cards of the Red Stone showed a volcanic-like area with an egg-shaped orb, surrounded by a rocky barrier with a small red glow in the center of it.

After discarding one of her "Red-Eyes" monsters to the graveyard, she then drew two extra cards from her deck and placed them directly into her hand.

Noire: Next, I summon Black Dragon's Chick to the field in Attack Mode!

It was then that a red-orange colored egg, which contained a baby version of the Red-Eyes Black Dragon suddenly appeared on the field.

Everyone (minus Azure) looked perplexed as to why Noire would summon a defenseless baby dragon to her side of the field.

Neptune: Noire, what are you doing?! That poor baby doesn't stand a chance against my monsters-

Noire immediately cut her opponent off, in a very intense voice.

Noire: No? Why don't I just show you! I activate the special ability of Black Dragon's Chick! By sending this card to the graveyard, I can Special Summon 1 "Red-Eyes Black Dragon" from my hand to the field!

Neptune: WHA?!!!

After she says this, Black Dragon's Chick disappears into a bunch of red particles. Then, as the feeling of summoning a powerful creature filled her mind with joy, Noire decided to kick things up a notch.

Noire: Are you ready?! Access!

Neptune: What? You're gonna transform now of all times?!!

In a flash of light, Noire immediately transformed into HDD Form, known as Black Heart.

As Black Heart, her eyes are cyan and her hair is pure white, and goes down below her shoulders somewhat, with her fringe standing above her eyes and bangs caressing her face. Her suit is black and white in color and the mechanical appearance is much more visible. It also exposes a mild amount of her cleavage. Her sleeves are pure black, with silver patches in the bicep and tricep area, her gauntlets are black with silver protrusions on the knuckles.

Not only did Noire transform, but her Duel Disk underwent some significant changes as well. Its body now featured a rectangular model with an angular blade.

Then, the particles that came from Black Dragon's Chick began to materialize into something massive, while also glowing a bright red color.

Black Heart (Noire): Black dragon, darker than the darkest of nights! Your bright, red eyes that shine like stars through the fires of destruction, I now summon you! Come forth, Red-Eyes Black Dragon!!!

When the light finally died down, the red particles that came from her previous monster began to take the form of a very large, imposing dragon with vicious crimson-red eyes, a thin skeletal body covered in jagged, black armored-like skin, and nails that are on his claws and feet are dark gray in color. The dragon flapped its massive wings before descending onto the ground as it then reared its head back a bit, before letting out a devastating roar (which resembled that of a falcon mixed with the roar of Blue-Eyes White Dragon), creating a massive shockwave that forced Neptune and the others to raise their arms up to their faces in order to block the shockwaves coming off the massive yell from the monster.

Red-Eyes Black Dragon - (DARK/Dragon) - (LVL: 7/ATK: 2400/DEF: 2000)

The mere presence of Noire's new monster, the Red-Eyes Black Dragon, filled Neptune, Vert, and Blanc with a mix of shock, awe, and even fear. Unfortunately, the only one who didn't seem all that shocked about Red-Eyes Black Dragon was Azure, since he had seen this card used before in plenty of duels in the past.

Azure: Hmph. Not bad, Noire... Not bad at all...

Neptune: W-Wow, so... that's Red-Eyes Black Dragon, huh? It sure does look like a powerful monster.

Black Heart (Noire): Hah! I'm glad you think so, Neptune. To be honest with you, even I'm a bit shocked at the mere sight of this monster.

Black Heart then looked up at Red-Eyes Black Dragon, except her face wasn't one of fear, but of confidence.

After admiring the creature for a little bit, Black Heart turned her attention back towards the Duel.

Black Heart (Noire): Now then, Red-Eyes Black Dragon, let's see what kind of monster you really are!

Red-Eyes Black Dragon merely responded to Black Heart by letting out a powerful roar.

Black Heart (Noire): First, I'll activate my face-down Trap Card: Red-Eyes Spirit! By targeting 1 "Red-Eyes" monster in my graveyard; I'm allowed to Special Summon it.

The trap card that Black Heart activated flipped upwards, which showed an image of Red-Eyes Black Dragon emerging from a golden portal.

Red-Eyes Spirit - (Trap Card: Normal)

One of the "Red-Eyes" cards that Noire sent to the graveyard reemerged from her Duel Disk and appeared in her hand.

Black Heart (Noire): I now Special Summon Black Metal Dragon to the field in Attack Mode!

As the name suggests, a dragon made of shiny, black metal appeared right next to Red-Eyes Black Dragon.

Black Metal Dragon - (DARK/Dragon/Effect) - (LVL: 1/ATK: 600/DEF: 600)

Black Heart (Noire): Now I have Black Metal Dragon on the field, I'll activate its special ability. I can target 1 "Red-Eyes" monster I control; and then equip this monster from either my hand or field to that target, and said monster gains 600 ATK points.

Just then, Black Metal Dragon was surrounded by a bright red aura, as its energy was then transferred into Red-Eyes Black Dragon.

Red-Eyes Black Dragon - (DARK/Dragon) - (LVL: 7/ATK: 3000/DEF: 2000)

Neptune's eyes widened at Red-Eyes Black Dragon's current power increase.

Neptune: NEPU?!! Now Red-Eyes is even more powerful!

Black Heart (Noire): That's right! Now, Red-Eyes Black Dragon, attack Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat! Inferno Fire Blast!

The dragon did exactly what Black Heart said and reeled its head back, before ultimately firing a massive fireball from its mouth straight at Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat, reducing it to ash.

Neptune/Purple Heart LP: 7000 - (1800) = 5200

Neptune: I activate my face-down Trap Card: Crystal Pair!

Crystal Pair showed Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus surrounded by a blue aura, and Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger surrounded by a fiery-red aura.

Crystal Pair - (Trap Card: Normal)

Neptune: Whenever a "Crystal Beast" monster I control is destroyed by battle and is sent to the Graveyard: I can place 1 "Crystal Beast" monster from my Deck face-up in my Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card, then I take no Battle Damage for the rest of this turn.

Neptune pulled a new "Crystal Beast" monster from her deck and placed it into the spot where Crystal Pair once was. The gemstone that appeared was blue (Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle) in color and was next to the red (Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle) and yellow (Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger) gemstones on the field.

Black Heart (Noire): Hmph! Alright then, I end my turn by placing two cards face-down.

Vert and Blanc both looked on in shock and were extremely worried for Neptune.

Blanc: This doesn't look too good for Neptune. I mean, compared to Noire, she's got no chance against that Red-Eyes Black Dragon.

Vert couldn't really help but agree with Blanc's words, but there was a part of her that had the utmost faith in her fellow goddess, and believed that she would be able to overcome this obstacle.

As for Azure, he was still anxious about something, almost as if he's truly waiting for something to happen.

Back on the field, Neptune was breathing heavily as she took a deep breath, before she ultimately looked at her deck.

Neptune: (Okay, think Neptune, think. It's your turn, and ya don't do something like right now, Noire's gonna wipe the floor with ya! I can't let that happen!)

Neptune/Purple Heart: 5200 LP - Hand: 3+1

Noire/Black Heart: 7100 LP - Hand: 6

Turn 9: Neptune/Purple Heart

Neptune: My turn now. I draw! First, I play the Spell Card: Pot of Greed. This lets me draw two cards.

And next, I'll activate my second face-down. The Spell Card: Twister. Now by paying 500 LP, I can target 1 face-up Spell/Trap on the field; and destroy it.

Neptune/Purple Heart LP: 5200 - (500) = 4700

The card Neptune activated flipped upwards, which featured a massive tornado.

Twister - (Spell Card: Quick-Play)

A giant tornado then appeared and destroyed one of Noire's face-down cards, which was the Trap Card: Return of the Red-Eyes.

Neptune: Next, I think I'll equip my Sapphire Pegasus with the Spell Card: Crystal Release. Now the Crystal Beast monster equipped with this card gains 800 ATK points.

Crystal Release showed seven gemstones, all of which featured the colors of the rainbow (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet).

Then, after activating her spell card, Sapphire Pegasus was surrounded by a blue aura, as it then let out a loud neighing sound.

Black Heart was perplexed by Neptune's decision.

Black Heart (Noire): What are you even thinking, Neptune? Sure your horse may have gained a significant boost in strength, but compared to my Red-Eyes Black Dragon, it's still too weak.

Neptune then smirked at her opponent.

Neptune: Who ever said I was trying to attack your Red-Eyes?

Black Heart (Noire): What?

Neptune: Go Sapphire Pegasus, attack Black Metal Dragon! Sapphire Dark Horn!

Sapphire Pegasus did what Neptune asked and used its horn to fire a bolt of electricity straight at Black Metal Dragon and destroyed it completely.

Noire/Black Heart LP: 7100 - (2000) = 5100

Then, once Black Metal Dragon was destroyed, Red-Eyes Black Dragon suddenly began losing power.

Neptune: Okay, now that you're down a monster, I'll play the Spell Card: Dian Keto - The Cure Master, increasing my LP by 1000.

The spell card showed an image of a large woman with green hair, wearing a red and blue dress, holding a magical orb with healing powers.

Then, the effects of the card blew tiny pieces of pixie dust onto Neptune, increasing her LP.

Neptune: Okay, that ends my turn.

Black Heart (Noire): My turn. Red-Eyes Black Dragon, attack Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus with Inferno Fire Blast!

Not wanting to miss this chance, Neptune decided to play her trump card.

Neptune: Hold it, Noire! You forgot about my third face-down! I activate the Trap Card: Last Resort, and it activates when my opponent's monster declares an attack. Now I can select 1 "Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins" Field Spell from my Deck, and as a bonus, I'm allowed to activate it.

Last Resort featured a random beach chair in space, sitting on the moon, with the sun far away shining over the earth.

Her Duel Disk then ejected the card she just mentioned and she placed it in the slot where Field Spell Cards go.

Neptune: I play the Field Spell: Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins!

In a brief flash of light, the entire surrounding area miraculously transformed itself from Azure's backyard to a massive arena inside of a roman styled coliseum with an illustrious rainbow being seen from overhead.

Black Heart (Noire): What the? So, this is what happens when someone plays a Field Spell? Not bad.

Naturally, Neptune was awestruck by the new surroundings.

Black Heart (Noire): Neptune!!!

Neptune instantly snapped out of her daze.

Neptune: Whoops, sorry about that.

Black Heart just sighed and silently placed a card face-down.

Neptune/Purple Heart: 5700 LP - Hand: 3+1

Noire/Black Heart: 5100 LP - Hand: 5

Turn 11: Neptune/Purple Heart

Neptune began taking another deep breath, before she ultimately looked at her deck.

Neptune: (Well... this is it... I've only got one shot at this... it's all of nothing.)

Neptune then took another deep breath, before ultimately pulling out a card from her deck. Then, as soon as she got a look at the card she just drew, her eyes lit up like a christmas tree.

Azure was probably the first, and maybe, only one who knew what card she just drew, and he couldn't be any more excited to see what was about to happen.

Azure: About time, Neptune. Now... show me what truly lies... at the end of the rainbow...

After looking at her new card, it was then that Neptune's happy grin became more prominent as she began to laugh like crazy.

This action left Blanc, Vert, and this time, even Noire perplexed.

Black Heart (Noire): Hey, what's so funny?!

After she had finished laughing, Neptune looked towards her opponent with an expression that was brimming with confidence.

Neptune: Well Noire, since you showed me yours, how about I show you mine? [5]

Blanc and Vert were just as confused as Noire, especially with how Neptune said those words very nonchalantly.

Vert: It would seem that Neptune finally managed to get something truly spectacular from her deck.

Blanc: Yeah, but what could it be?

Neptune: Alright, here goes EVERYTHING!!!

Then, right before showing everyone the card she just drew, Neptune immediately transformed into her HDD Form, known as Purple Heart.

Purple Heart has very long purple hair in twin tails and bright blue eyes with white pupils in the shape of power signs. She wears black hair clips with glowing blue D-Pad shapes. Her bodysuit is black and exposes cleavage and has purple and blue lining all around the torso and arms. The middle of the torso has purple mesh, allowing a vague vertical view of her stomach. She also wears thigh high boots with octagon patterns on the side at the very top; one filled with purple and another with just a white outline.

Also, in a similar vein to Noire, not only did Neptune transform, but her Duel Disk underwent some significant changes as well. Its body now featured a rectangular model with an angular blade.

Purple Heart (Neptune): Now then, how about I show you... the TRUE power of this card.

As Purple Heart raised her hand which featured the card she just drew into the air, something unexpected happened. For whatever reason, the three gemstones in Purple Heart's Spell/Trap Zones (Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger, Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle, and Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle), as well as the two monsters on the field (Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus and Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth), and last but not least, two of her monsters that were in the graveyard (Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat and Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise) all began to glow their respective colors (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet), before they ultimately made their way to Purple Heart's card.

Purple Heart (Neptune): When all seven Crystal Beasts are together, the light that ties the world together is reborn, here and now! Behold, the miracle of the Crystal Beasts! Be reborn! The Ultimate Crystal Beast - Rainbow Dragon!!!

Then, in a blinding flash of light, the sky briefly showcased the Northern Lights of Alaska, before ultimately fading away as a new monster revealed itself onto the field. It was a massive, white, slender dragon that was adorned with seven different colored gemstones on its neck and body, golden pieces of armor its design, blue-green horns, yellow eyes, and massive angel wings. Upon its descent, the massive dragon let out a powerful, yet majestic roar to let all those present be aware of its presence.

Rainbow Dragon - (LIGHT/Dragon/Effect) - (LVL: 10/ATK: 4000/DEF: 0)

Everyone who witnessed the CPU of Planeptune summon this dragon to the field could only watch with stars in their eyes as they were mesmerized by its sheer presence. The mere presence of this new monster, which was called out by Purple Heart as Rainbow Dragon, filled Black Heart, Vert, and Blanc with a mix of shock, awe, and even a sense of wonder.

As for Azure, he started laughing out loud as Rainbow Dragon appeared right beside Purple Heart, making the others look at him funny.

Azure: Hehehehe... Hahahahahahaha! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Aw man, this was SO FREAKIN' AMAZING, Neptune! I mean, this is your first, official duel and so far you've managed to not only plan this far ahead, but you were able to summon THE great and powerful Rainbow Dragon like you've done it for years! Now if that doesn't warrant some level of praise, then I don't know what will!!

Purple Heart (Neptune): Forgive me, but would you care to explain?

Azure: Sure thing. You see, Rainbow Dragon is a very rare and powerful monster that is usually categorized as an "Ultimate Crystal" card. Now as you all saw when Neptune summoned it to the field, Rainbow Dragon can only be Special Summoned (from your hand) by having 7 "Crystal Beast" cards with different names on the field and/or in the graveyard.

Azure's explanation made everyone's eyes widened, especially Black Heart, who took the information into consideration and then realized what that meant.

Black Heart (Noire): No way...

Vert: Oh, I see. So what you're saying is that Neptune was able to put all the pieces together in order to summon this Rainbow Dragon.

Blanc: Then, by all accounts, Noire fell into her trap, even if neither of them knew what was going to happen.

Azure: Exactly. Remember, Neptune had three Crystal Beast monsters in her Spell/Trap Zone, two Crystal Beast monsters on the field, and two other Crystal Beast monsters that were in the graveyard. So when you add that all together, the result is the mighty Rainbow Dragon!

Taking all the information Azure provided at face value, Purple Heart looked up at Rainbow Dragon and was truly mesmerized by its appearance and then she turned her attention back to the Duel at hand.

Purple Heart (Neptune): Get ready, Noire, because now that I successfully summoned Rainbow Dragon, all I have to say is this...

Purple Heart took a deep breath before finally letting out a powerful quote.

Purple Heart (Neptune): It's Time to Duel!! [6]

Hearing Neptune say that random quote might have confused Black Heart, but for someone like Azure, it actually brought a small smile to his face, as he had not heard someone say it in a long time.

Purple Heart (Neptune): Okay, now my Rainbow Dragon, unleash your might and attack Red-Eyes Black Dragon! Rainbow Overdrive!

After letting out a powerful roar, Rainbow Dragon began to channel all of its energy into its mouth, before ultimately firing a powerful beam of energy that also featured all seven colors of the rainbow at Red-Eyes Black Dragon, obliterating it from the field.

Purple Heart (Neptune): And with that, I'll place one card face-down and that ends my turn. It's your move, Noire.

Black Heart (Noire): Tch! Alright then, I draw. First, I activate the Spell Card: Magical Stone Excavation! Now by discarding 2 of my cards, I can then target 1 Spell Card in my graveyard; and I'm allowed to add it back to my hand.

After discarding two cards, one of Black Heart's Spell Cards reemerged from her graveyard.

Black Heart (Noire): Next, I activate my face-down Trap Card: Call of the Haunted. With this card, I can target 1 monster that's in my graveyard and Special Summon in back to the field in Attack Mode. So rise from beyond the grave and serve me once again, Red-Eyes Black Dragon!!!

A pillar of flames rose from the ground and what emerged from the fire was Noire's Red-Eyes Black Dragon.

Red-Eyes Black Dragon - (DARK/Dragon) - (LVL: 7/ATK: 2400/DEF: 2000)

Black Heart (Noire): But I'm afraid he won't be sticking around for long, because now... I'm about to show you what a REAL dragon is capable of!

Purple Heart (Neptune): What?

Black Heart (Noire): I hereby sacrifice my Red-Eyes Black Dragon... in order to Special Summon... Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon!!!

It was then that Red-Eyes Black Dragon's body began to crack as red lights began emitting from its body, before ultimately exploding. When the smoke cleared, there was a brand-new monster standing where Red-Eyes Black Dragon was previously.

The new monster appeared to be a somewhat mechanized wyvern variant of the Red-Eyes Black Dragon, except it had no arms and it also featured red gems all over its body, wings, and legs.

Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon - (DARK/Dragon/Effect) - (LVL: 9/ATK: 2400/DEF: 2000)

Purple Heart (Neptune): That's quite a powerful monster, Noire.

Black Heart (Noire): Heh! Well, I'm glad you think so, because Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon has a rather interesting special ability. You see, for every Dragon monster that's in my graveyard, this monster gains 300 ATK points. And so far, I have five of my dragons resting in the graveyard.

It was then that the spirits of Red-Eyes Black Dragon, Black Dragon's Chick, Pitch-Dark Dragon, Black Metal Dragon, and finally Red-Eyes Alternative Black Dragon all appeared on the field, before they all transferred each of their souls into Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon and its ATK points began to increase.

Black Heart (Noire): Now with that done, I place a card face-down and that ends my turn.

Purple Heart (Neptune): My turn. First, I play the Spell Card: Hand Destruction. Each player must send 2 cards from their hand to the graveyard, then we both draw 2 cards.

Hand Destruction showed Sasuke Samurai using his sword to slash away four random cards out of the air.

After playing her spell card, both of the CPUs discarded two of their cards, then received two more cards from each of their decks.

Purple Heart (Neptune): I lay one card face-down on the field, and that ends my turn.

Everyone that was watching could not take their eyes off the action that was presented in front of them.

Vert: This is truly an outstanding Duel.

Blanc: Yeah, I agree.

Azure: (Neptune and Noire. Those two are going at each other with everything that they got, and not one of them is giving up. Truly awe-inspiring... Now, let's see which one of these two is going to win.)

Turn 14: Noire/Black Heart

Black Heart (Noire): It's my turn. I draw! Now thanks to your Hand Destruction card, Red-Eyes Baby Dragon was sent to the graveyard, and now its energy will be transferred over to Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon.

Then, just like her other dragon monsters, the spirit of Red-Eyes Baby Dragon appeared on the field, before it transferred its soul into Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon and its ATK points began to increase.

Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon - (DARK/Dragon/Effect) - (LVL: 9/ATK: 4200/DEF: 2000)

Purple Heart (Neptune): No! Now your Darkness Dragon is even more powerful than my Rainbow Dragon!

Black Heart (Noire): That's right, Neptune! Next, I'll activate my face-down, the Trap Card: Red-Eyes Fang with Chain. By targeting 1 "Red-Eyes" monster that I control; I can equip this card to it.

Red-Eyes Fang with Chain featured a weapon that resembled Kunai with Chain, except that the Kunai resembled that of Red-Eyes Black Dragon.

The energy of Noire's Trap Card then transferred its energy into Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon.

Black Heart (Noire): Now my Darkness Dragon can make up to 2 attacks on your monster during each Battle Phase.

Purple Heart gasped in shock, as it seemed like she might lose her first Duel.

Black Heart (Noire): Go Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon, Attack one of Neptune's Rainbow Dragons! Infernal Darkfire!!!

Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon reared its head back before firing a massive red and black stream of flames from its mouth at Rainbow Dragon.

Purple Heart clicked her tongue and decided to play one of her face-down cards.

Purple Heart (Neptune): I don't think so! I play the Spell Card: Shrink! Because of this card, I can target 1 face-up monster on the field; and its original ATK points become halved until the end of this turn. And the monster I chose is Rainbow Dragon!

Shrink - (Spell Card: Quick-Play)

Because of the effects of Shrink, Rainbow Dragon's ATK strength was cut in half.

Rainbow Dragon - (LIGHT/Dragon/Effect) - (LVL: 10/ATK: 2000/DEF: 0)

Black Heart (Noire): Not bad, Neptune. But my Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon is still strong enough to destroy your dragon!

In retaliation, Rainbow Dragon fired its Rainbow Overdrive attack from its mouth at Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon's Infernal Darkfire attack and the two blasts collided with each other, resulting in a beam struggle, however it was too late as both Rainbow Dragon and its attack were completely engulfed by the dark flames, before letting out a cry of pain and being reduced to ash.

Purple Heart could only cry out in pain as she was sent flying back by the dragon's attack and seen skidding backwards.

Neptune/Purple Heart LP: 5700 - (2200) = 3500

Black Heart (Noire): But I'm not done yet! Remember, because of my Red-Eyes Fang with Chain Trap, my Dragon can attack again!

Purple Heart groaned in annoyance as Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon began to fire its attack once again.

Blanc and Vert both looked on in shock and were worried for Neptune.

Vert: This is not good!

Blanc: I know! If that attack hits, then it's all over for her!

Black Heart (Noire): Now, Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon... END THIS!!!

Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon reared its head back before firing a massive red and black stream of flames from its mouth at Purple Heart.

As soon as the attack made impact, it resulted in a huge explosion where Purple Heart was in dead center of the blast.

There was nothing but complete silence on the field, save for the sounds of the wind blowing through the air.

Black Heart (Noire): Ha! And just like that, I win!

Then, as the smoke cleared up, something completely unexpected happened. Everyone noticed a figure that was coming from the smoke. The figure was none other than Purple Heart, as her body was steaming, but she was still standing, albeit with a bit of difficulty and she was breathing heavily.

Seeing this made everyone (minus Azure) surprised and extremely confused.

Black Heart (Noire): WHAT?!!! But how?!!

Vert: My goodness, what an unexpected turn of events.

Blanc: How is this possible?

Black Heart (Noire): Neptune?! How come your LP didn't decrease?!!

As she was still breathing heavily, Purple Heart responded by revealing her last face-down card.

Black Heart (Noire): That card...!

Purple Heart (Neptune): *Heavy Breathing* ... Because I activated Negate Attack at the last minute... I'm allowed to... target your Red-Eyes... and nullify any attack...

Negate Attack - (Trap Card: Normal)

Black Heart (Noire): Tch! Very well, I end my turn. Make your final move, before my Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon finishes you off.

The air was incredibly tense as everyone watching were all waiting in anticipation for what was about to be Neptune's final draw of the entire Duel.

Back on the field, Purple Heart was breathing heavily as she took a deep breath, before she ultimately looked at her deck.

Purple Heart (Neptune): (This is it... This last draw will decide the outcome of this match. But... What if the card I draw will be something that might help me win or not? Guess I won't know unless I try...)

Purple Heart then closed both of her eyes and took another deep breath.

Neptune/Purple Heart: 3500 LP - Hand: 1+1

Noire/Black Heart: 3500 LP - Hand: 5

Turn 15: Neptune/Purple Heart

Purple Heart (Neptune): My turn...

This was it...

All or nothing...

Purple Heart (Neptune): DRAW!!!

As soon as Purple Heart got a look at the card she just drew, Azure was the first one to pick up on what she just drew.

Then, uncharacteristically, Azure stood up and smiled at what was about to happen.

Azure: (This Duel is over... Sorry, better luck next time...)

Purple Heart (Neptune): This is it, Noire! With this card, the Duel is about to become mine!

Black Heart (Noire): What are you talking about?!! No matter how strong your dragon may be, it's no match for Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon!

Purple Heart quickly smirked at her opponent.

Purple Heart (Neptune): I beg to differ... Now, I play the Spell Card: Soul Release!

After announcing the name of the card, it then appeared on the field with an image of a woman's soul amongst a rainbow background.

Soul Release - (Spell Card: Normal)

Black Heart (Noire): What are you doing?!!

Purple Heart (Neptune): Allow me to explain... This card allows me to target up to 5 cards from either of our graveyards, and then I can banish them completely!

Black Heart (Noire): What?!!

Purple Heart (Neptune): And I have just the 5 cards I want to banish... yours. Or rather, five of your Dragon monsters that are in the graveyard.

Hearing this made Black Heart gasp in shock and horror.

From the sidelines, Blanc and Vert were all to understand Neptune's decision.

Vert: I see. That's such a brilliant strategy! Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon's ability allows it to gain strength for every Dragon monster that's in the graveyard.

Blanc: And if those monsters are gone, then Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon will lose its power, returning it back to when Noire first summoned it to the field.

Purple Heart (Neptune): Now, I remove... five of your Dragon-type monsters from your graveyard!

After exclaiming this, the spirits of the previous Dragon monsters were expelled from Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon's body, as it began shrieking in pain.

Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon - (DARK/Dragon/Effect) - (LVL: 9/ATK: 2400/DEF: 2000)

Black Heart (Noire): No!!! My Red-Eyes... Your spell made it lose power!

Purple Heart (Neptune): That's right! Next, I play the Spell Card: Monster Reborn! I can target 1 monster in either graveyard; and Special Summon it to the field.

A massive pillar of rainbow energy emerged from the ground, and the monster Purple Heart chose was none other than Rainbow Dragon.

Rainbow Dragon - (LIGHT/Dragon/Effect) - (LVL: 10/ATK: 4000/DEF: 0)

Black Heart's face turned completely white as Purple Heart was able to successfully bring back her powerful monster to the field.

Black Heart (Noire): This... can't be...

The others who were all watching this all were anticipating Neptune's next move.

After taking a deep breath, Purple Heart looked at Black Heart with a serious look on her face.

Purple Heart (Neptune): Now, I activate my final face-down, the Spell Card: Forbidden Chalice!

Forbidden Chalice flipped upwards to reveal a card with a picture of a woman with red hair drinking from a chalice on it.

Forbidden Chalice - (Spell Card: Quick Play)

Purple Heart (Neptune): This card lets me target 1 face-up monster on the field; until the end of this turn, that target gains 400 ATK, but its effects will be negated! And I choose... Rainbow Dragon!

Black Heart (Noire): WHAT?!!!

After she explained the card's effect, Rainbow Dragon let out a strong roar, as its ATK points increased.

Rainbow Dragon - (LIGHT/Dragon/Effect) - (LVL: 10/ATK: 4400/DEF: 0)

Then, Purple Heart quickly smiled, before she decided to talk to Black Heart.

Purple Heart (Neptune): Noire... this was a very fun Duel... I am honored to have you as my opponent. But, I'm afraid all good things must come to an end.

After taking a deep breath, Purple Heart looked at Black Heart with a serious look on her face.

Purple Heart (Neptune): Now, I'm finishing this right now! Go Rainbow Dragon, attack Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon! Rainbow Overdrive!!!

After letting out a powerful roar, Rainbow Dragon began to channel all of its energy into its mouth, before ultimately firing a powerful beam of energy that also featured all seven colors of the rainbow at Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon, vaporizing it completely, resulting in a large explosion with Black Heart in the middle of it.

When the smoke finally cleared up, it revealed that Black Heart was now on her knees, before she reverted back into her human form, exhausted from her match against Neptune.

Noire/Black Heart LP: 3500 - (-2000) = 0

As the Duel had finally reached its conclusion, Purple Heart deactivated her HDD form and went back to being Neptune.

Neptune then wiped away any sweat that she accumulated and took a deep breath, before she ran over to Noire and offered her a helping hand.

Neptune: Welp, looks like I win, Noire.

Noire took Neptune's hand and after getting back on her feet, she looked at Neptune with a smile on her face.

Noire: That you did, Neptune. And I gotta say, I actually had a ton of fun Dueling with you.

Neptune: Yeah, same here! That was a pretty close match. So, you wanna Duel again some time?

Noire thought about it for a moment, before she smiled at her rival with a confident smile.

Noire: Sure thing, Neptune. But you better watch out, because things will be different next time!

Neptune also wore a confident smile on her face.

Neptune: Oh yeah? Well, we'll see about that, Noire!

Azure, Blanc, and Vert all grinned at Neptune and Noire's enthusiasm.

Azure: (Good job, you two. You both exceeded my expectations. Now, onto the second match for today.)

Honestly, when I wrote that line, I was just thinking that Purple Heart would totally be like Yami Yugi/Pharaoh Atem, because if you think about it, it could sort of work out.
