This is a small temporary book which will allow me to showcase the possible decks used by the main character of my potential Yu-Gi-Oh story. I've already planned nearly all of this story, all that's left is for me to settle on a deck. Below are the ten I'm considering.

I've also listed little twists to the main character's personality. I've already got the personality, however the deck choice will make certain additions to it.

I nearly just uploaded this as another message on my account, but that would have been a mouthful, I felt it would be best to visualise each deck for you. Again, this is only a temp book which I'll delete once I'm ready to start the book proper.

Idea 1: Neo-Spacian (Later on, this becomes Evil HERO).

In this idea, the main character is Jaden's son. He does have Elemental HERO cards, however these will not be featured much, they will be the basis for his Evil HERO deck. 

Like his father, this version of the character will have inherited the ability to speak to monster spirits. Though this will mainly be to Aqua Dolphin, Air Hummingbird, Grand Mole and Dark Panther, the four Neo-Spacians which will appear most.

I chose Neo Spacian because I could get a better narrative out of these compared to Elemental HERO. We will get to see the latter in the first two duels of the book though before the main character focusses on the Neo-Spacian cards and later, Evil HEROs.

(This is the only idea where the main character has two decks. Technically three, however the Elemental HERO deck will hardly appear).

Idea 2: Destiny HERO

For this idea, the main character is Aster's son. A key trait in this book will be that the main character is notably more aggressive as a duellist compared to the Neo-Spacian idea.

It is also worth noting that Disk Commander has its pre-errata effect, since in the context of this deck, it won't be too broken for the era.

Idea 3: Ojama/Armed Dragon

The main character here will be Chazz' son. He'll have his father's confidence, but not to such an extreme extent. He'll also not have Chazz' more simpy traits either. Also, unlike Chazz, the main character will commune with the spirits of Ojama Red and Blue instead of the trio.

It's worth noting, this deck won't have the Armed Dragon Thunder monsters, because they'd be way too busted for the 5D's era. He will have a few other modern cards.

Idea 4: Ancient Gear

This version of the character will have no connection to Crowler. But he will be a successful graduate of Duel Academy. 

There aren't many other ways this deck will affect the character. However Ancient Gear is my favourite Yu-Gi-Oh archetype, so I wanted to include this one.

Idea 5: Water Dragon

This version of the character is the son of Bastion and Tania. He has his father's intellect and his mother's ferocity. Combining them into a nasty stun deck, utilising floodgates to lock his opponent's strategy down. 

Idea 6: Dinosaur

The son of Hassleberry, this character inherited his father's Dino DNA, making him the most reckless and aggressive of the character concepts. However this aggression makes him an efficient duellist as he won't give his opponent chance to think of their next move.

Idea 7: Arcana Force

The prodigy of Sartorius, this version of the main character possesses the gift to see into the future, though he cannot fully control this. He uses this ability to both predict opponents next moves or throw them off their game.

Idea 8: Volcanic

The son of Axel. The main character inherited both his father's duelling skills and serious attitude. This version would have the least comedic elements to his character. But his duelling style involves locking his opponent down and chipping away at his opponent's life points.

Idea 9: Fossil

This main character would be the son of Jim. Sharing his father's passion for archaeology, his deck reflects this, usually sending Rock monsters to the graveyard to advance his game state. 

Idea 10: Cloudian

This final version of the character would be the nephew of Adrian (For those who don't know, Adrian Gecko had a younger stepbrother). Based of his father's word, he grew to idolise Adrian and utilises the Cloudian monsters in his honour.
