Yugo P.O.V

Yugo tried very hard to keep himself calm. He sat there on his Duel Runner at the starting line, looking ahead at the track. This was a big one this year, so the track had gotten extended, but that wasn't the problem for Yugo. It was whether or not he could work well with Yuri.

He sat in the Bay Area where Yugo would then enter for a rest due to the rules of this tournament. Yuri had a bored look on his face, though that wasn't surprising. Yuri use to have fun carding people up, but that all changed now thanks to the fact that Zarc's influence had left him.

Yugo still couldn't believe that Yuya had bailed out on him when they made plans to do this together. Yuya was once the Duel King of the Tracks since he defeated Jack Atlas not once but twice. Now since the restart, Jack had become the Duel King again. However, by the pale and tired look Yuya had this morning, Yugo knew that he wouldn't be able to do this duel. And what Yuto said was true - Yuya's health came first.

Then again, Yugo didn't want to miss this opportunity at all. He had to come here, even if it meant forcing Yuri to come here in Yuya's place.

Yugo quickly took out Clear Wing Synchro Dragons card and just looked at it, feeling that old bond he had with it again. Ever since Yuya gave Yugo his ace back, it was like something ignited in him, like a part of him that he had taken away from him. And Yugo was eternally grateful to Yuya because he knew that he was nothing without Clear Wing. It was the same for Yuto with Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, and Yuri with Starving Venom Fusion Dragon.

Let's show everyone what we can do, old friend, Yugo thought to it. Instantly the dragons spirit inside of him roared in agreement.

Just then, the crowd roared in excitement. The announcer came on and she immediately started talking in a very ecstatic way.

"Alright folks, the Turbo Final of the Accel Tournament is here at long last!" she announced to ten thousand cheering fans. "On the track already is young duellist Yugo, and his teammate Yuri waiting in the wings! They have earned the honour of facing off against the world renown champion of the tracks and Accel Legend!"

She pointed behind Yugo, and the crowd followed her gaze. I heard the sound of a super sonic engine heading our way.

"And now, ladies and gentlemen! Please, give a loud, speed breaking round of applause for New Domino City's Accel Legend: the City's beloved Shooting Star - YUSEEEEEEEEEI FUDOOOOO!"

Suddenly, a dark red Duel Runner sped up the ramp behind Yugo and flew into the air, its engine revving loudly. It was a beautiful sound, and Jack Atlas's Duel Runner doesn't make that sound. Everyone cheered excitedly as the Duel Runner landed gracefully, and came to a stop next to Yugo.

The rider of the Runner was at least twenty years old. He wore a long-sleeved blue jacket with high collars and amber gems, over a sleeveless black shirt with a red symbol, and was wearing gloves below his elbows with an amber gem in them. His lower body consists of black jeans with amber knee pads, and a belt with two deck cases hidden under his jacket. On the left side of his face was a jagged yellow mark (so he got into trouble with Sector Security, huh?) and his gold highlighted black hair jutted upwards, though it jutted downwards on the lower parts.

He looked sideways at Yugo, revealing a pair of royal blue eyes. "So, you're the guy who I'm duelling?"

Yugo nodded, lost for words. It wasn't everyday that he saw a very famous duellist. This guy had Yugo excited from the moment he read about him and when he watched Yusei duel on the tracks. Yugo knew instantly that he wanted to duel him, because even Jack Atlas had a tough time duelling him before. That proved how tough he was. Yugo just hoped that his deck was ready because this was about to get serious.

"What's your name kiddo?" Yusei asked.

"The name's Yugo," the young duellist said, pointing his right thumb at his chest. "Yugo Sakaki."

"Sakaki?" Yusei asked in a surprised tone. "I've heard a lot of good things about that name. Are you by any chance related to Yuya Sakaki?"

"Yep, he's my brother."

Yusei nodded. "That explains it then. Well, let's see what you're made of then."

"Alright then. Bring it on."

They focused their attention to the track ahead of them, waiting for the announcer to start the duel.

"Alright folks, here are the rules: we will be duelling on an Action Speed Field, meaning both duellists can use Action cards. However, you can only have one Action Card in your hand unless you use it right away. We have also decided to let both duellists use Speed Spells and Normal Spells as this is a Turbo Duel, so as a result no one will have to pay a hefty cost at using Normal Spells. So, without further ado, let's get this duel on the road!"

"ACTION SPEED FIELD...ON!" Everyone screamed.

"Let's duel!" Yugo and Yusei shouted, as they sped onwards on their vehicles.

Yugo kept his focus on the road, but a small holographic image of Yusei appeared on his Duel Runner screen. That way, they would be able to talk to their opponents instead of trying to look backwards.

"You can go first, Yusei," Yugo said. "I wanna see what you've got!"

"Be careful what you wish for! I draw!" Yusei said, drawing his card. "First off, I summon the Tuner Monster known as Blue Expense Falcon in attack mode!"

(Blue Expense Falcon - 800/800)

"And now I activate its special ability: you see Yugo, this card allows me to Special Summon an additional monster, as long as that monster is a level four or below Dragon-Type monster. With that being said, I Special Summon Bright Star Dragon in attack mode!"

(Bright Star Dragon - 1900/1000)

"Now I'll activate HIS special ability: it allows me to double my Blue Expense Falcons level, so he's now level four! And now, I Tune my Blue Expense Falcon to my Bright Star Dragon!"

As Yugo watched on the screen, Yusei's Falcon exploded into four bright green rings as they enveloped his Bright Star Dragon. The dragon began to glow and was now four bright stars floating in-between the rings.

"Let's rev things up!" Yusei cried out. "I call upon the Crimson Dragon to bring forth its most brightest follower, where we can win this duel by the wings of destiny! I Synchro Summon!"

Above him, a dragon made purely out of crimson fire burst through the clouds and slammed into the ground behind him, creating a flash of light that nearly made Yugo go blind and lose control of his Duel Runner.

As the light died down, Yugo could see the shining form of a dragon with a thin white body, arms and legs. It's tail was whip-like and was razor sharp at the end and it's wings were delicate and flexible. It gave off a loud roar, as its body sparkled with silver dust.

"Behold...the Stardust Dragon!" Yusei shouted.

Everyone in the stadium cheered at the appearance of Yusei's signature dragon as it flew ahead of Yugo. They were all chanting Yusei's name, and for a moment it reminded Yugo of the time when he and Celina were duelling each other on the tracks before the memory restart.

"Then I end my turn with two facedown cards," Yusei said, two holographic cards being placed facedown on the field. "Let's see if you can get around this!"

Stardust Dragon...Yugo had heard about this monster from some of the other duellists in town. Apparently, it was Yusei's most treasured monster. He practically grew up with it. Earning the title that he has, it must be because his dragon must have a very handy ability. But Yugo was not too worried about it, since Clear Wing could negate any monster effect that Yusei would throw at him, as long as it was level five or above. And Yugo was staring at a level eight monster right now.

"Yugo, never underestimate your opponent!" Rin would probably say right now. "Never, ever think that it would be too easy! It's true that Clear Wing could negate any ability of a higher level monster, but effects like that can only get you so far!"

I know Rin, Yugo thought deeply. That's why I'm gonna be careful and not rush into things. Let's show this guy who the real Turbo Duellist is!

"Then I'm up then! Let's see how well you can keep up with me!" he said with a smirk, drawing his card as he sped up his Duel Runner. "First things first, I summon out the Speedroid monster known as Horse Stilts!"

(Speedroid Horse Stilts - 1100/1100)

"And thanks to his special ability, I can summon an additional monster from my hand as long as it's a WIND type monster. And I can't think of anything better than my trusty Speedroid Tri-Eyed Dice!"

(Speedroid Tri-Eyed Dice - 300/1500)

Suddenly, Yugo heard a low growl from his Extra Deck. He looked down to see the astral form of his ace's head looking at him. Yugo could tell that it was eager to come out and take on Yusei's dragon, and he was agreeing with it completely.

"Alright buddy, let's show em' the power of Synchro Summoning!"

Yusei frowned at that statement.

"I Tune my level three Tri-Eyed Dice with my level four Horse Stilts! Together, they'll create a whirlwind of wind and destruction with its graceful yet sharp wings!"

Yugo's Dice monster exploded into three emerald coloured rings that surrounded his Horse Stilts, which blazed with crystal light.

"Spread those wondrous and beautiful wings. Strike down our enemies at light speed! I Synchro Summon! Behold, the dragon that governs the skies of New Domino City! The mighty Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"

With a loud battle roar, Clear Wing soared into the sky, spinning around three times before soaring down right next to Yugo, it's mint green and blue wings as sharp as ever, it's zebra patterned tail whipping with that golden spike on the end.

"Synchro Dragon?" Yusei asked in bewilderment. "That doesn't sound good."

"Oh, don't worry, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon is good," Yugo smiled slyly. "Your monsters chances of escaping my Synchro Dragon? Hmm, not so much!"

Just then, Yugo saw an Action Spell swiftly approaching him on the track. Ever since he entered the Friendship Cup Tournament when Action Spells were introduced to the people of New Domino City, Yugo had been steadily getting the hang of them. Plus, thanks to Yuya and Zuzu, he had learnt how to use them better.

Yugo leaned to his right, and instantly snagged the card off the track, smiling at what he had picked up. "I activate the Action Spell known as Assault, which boosts my Synchro Dragons attack strength by six hundred points until the end of my turn, and that's six hundred more reasons why your Stardust Dragon is about to go bye-bye!"

(Clear Wing Synchro Dragon - 3100/2000)

"And now, HERE I GO! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon! ATTACK!" Yugo shouted, pointing his left finger at Yusei's monster.

Clear Wing shot up into the air, an emerald aura surrounding it as it began to spin again and again through the air.

"SPIN STORM SKY STRIKE!"

Clear Wing suddenly dropped downwards, gaining speed as it aimed towards Yusei's monster. Yugo thought he had actually done it, but then again his over-confidence got the best of him.

"I activate the trap known as Synchro Vision!" Yusei cried out, revealing his trap. "Now Yugo, when this card is activated, I'm allowed to Synchro Summon a monster from my extra deck simply by using monsters in my hand!"

"From your hand?!" Yugo exclaimed. "Oh boy!"

"I Tune my Level One Mono Synchron with my Level One Sonic Chick! Now it's time to up the speed of this game, because I Synchro Summon this: Formula Synchron!"

Suddenly, a race-car like monster appeared on the field, revving its engine like it was ready to speed up to catch Yugo.

(Formula Synchron - 200/1500)

"And since he was summoned, I get to draw a card from my deck!" Yusei said, drawing his card.

"What was the point in that?" Yugo demanded, looking at Yusei through the speed counter screen on his Runner after looking at the monster Yusei just summoned. "That monster doesn't have enough points to stand up against Clear Wing Synchro Dragon. Plus, that monster gets sent back to the extra deck after this turns End Phase. Why summon him now?"

Yusei smirked, and Yugo swore that he didn't like it one bit. Just then, Yusei started to speed up until he completely sped past Yugo.

"The key to winning a duel like this isn't about skill anymore - it's about speed. And I just got a whole bunch of it! So without further ado, let's rev. It. UPPPPPPPP!" Yusei screamed as what looked like the image of a red serpentine dragon appeared on the back of his jacket, his Duel Runner bursting with scarlet red flames as it continued speeding up to the point where it went over the maxed-out speed limit.

"What the-?!" Yugo spluttered in shock at the speed. "How are you going that fast?! Better yet, what are you even doing?!"

"I'm doing this: I Tune my Level Two Formula Synchron with my Level Eight Stardust Dragon!" Yusei answered quickly, just as his Formula Synchron burst into two emerald rings. "You see Yugo, Formula Synchron is a Tuner-Synchro monster that I can Tune wth my monster during your Main Battle Phase! And I'm about to bring out a monster that not even your Synchro Dragon can stand up against!"

"Synchro Summoning during my turn?!" Yugo exclaimed in shock at the idea. "That's not just impossible! That's insane!"

"Some things aren't impossible, and I'm about to prove it!" Yusei said back.

(2 + 8 = LV10)

Just then, the wind picked up as he sped forwards, making him look like a comet just as his Stardust Dragon began to glow as the green rings reached it. Yugo saw Yusei pull something out of his extra deck, extending it outwards to his right.

"Let the spirit of all duel monsters now spread its wings and soar to new heights, where it can be transformed by the winds of destiny, where it can become all powerful! GO, ACCEL SYNCHRO!"

"ACCEL SYNCHRO?!" the crowd and Yugo all exclaimed in shock and confusion.

Just then, to Yugo's utter astonishment, Yusei and his dragon just vanished. Everyone gasped at what just happened. Yugo, on the other hand, just looked around wildly, thinking where the heck Yusei and his dragon had disappeared to. Then to his complete and utter shock, Yugo saw a green light pulse behind him, and Yusei shot out of it, a large white glowing mass hovering above him as it soared into the air.

"Appear, SHOOTING STAR DRAGON!" Yusei bellowed.

The mass began to become clearer, revealing a very large dragon soaring in the sky, briefly blinding Yugo as it glowed brightly. It's wings were more sharper than what Stardust Dragon had, as well as two extra ones on its shoulder blades. Its head was armoured and its tail was more whip like.

(Shooting Star Dragon - 3300/2500)

"Well, I'll be!" the announcer said in surprise. "In all my years of being a Turbo Duel host, I have never seen a monster as magnificent as that! Once again, Yusei Fudo has wowed the crowd with a new summoning technique!"

"No way," Yugo muttered, looking at the new dragon in awe. "I've never seen a monster summoned that way before. And I thought I knew Synchro Summoning better than most people."

"And now Yugo, this duel just got a whole lot serious!" Yusei told me. "So if you want to duel and beat me, then bring it and give it your best shot!"

Yugo smiled at that. Oh, how he loved a challenge. "I wouldn't have it any other way! Let's do this! Since my dragon isn't stronger than your dragon anymore, I'll call off my attack. Then, I'll end my turn with three facedown cards before passing the handle to you. And since it's the end of my turn, Clear Wings attack power goes back to normal."

(Clear Wing Synchro Dragon - 2500/2000)

"Then it's my move then," Yusei announced, drawing his next card. "And I think I could do with bringing out some more reinforcements - I activate the Speed Spell known as Angel Baton! With it, so long as I have two or more Speed Counters, I can draw two cards from my deck but then I have to discard one of them. So I'll draw these two..." He drew two cards. "...then I'll discard this from my hand: my Quilbolt Hedgehog. Then, I Normal Summon my Junk Synchron in attack mode!"

(Junk Synchron - 1300/500)

"And thanks to his ability, I can bring back a level two or lower monster from my graveyard: like my Sonic Chick!"

(Sonic Chick - 300/300)

"And next up I'll activate my Quilbolt Hedgehogs ability from my graveyard: an ability that allows me to summon him back to the field since I've got a Tuner monster out on play!"

(Quilbolt Hedgehog - 800/800)

"And now it's time for some more Synchro summoning! I Tune my Level Three Junk Synchron with my Level Two Quilbolt Hedgehog and Level One Sonic Chick!"

"Let's bring out a new super charged warrior! I Synchro Summon! Come out and show some speed: Stardust Charge Warrior!"

A monster with a lookalike head of Shooting Star Dragon appeared, his armour glowing silver and cosmic blue, with several bladed wings on his back.

(Stardust Charge Warrior - 2000/1300)

"And since he was summoned this turn, I get to draw a card," Yusei said, drawing his card, bringing him up to two cards that he could use against me.

Damn, Yugo thought to himself. Yusei sure knows his thing with Synchro summoning. Well, two can play at that game.

"I activate my trap card: Tuner Cry! This let's me select one Tuner monster from my deck and then special summon it to the field, as long as it's a level three or below Tuner! So come on out, Speedroid Gum Prize!"

(Speedroid Gum Prize - 0/800)

"And thanks to Tuner Cry, if the selected Tuner monster can be used for a Synchro Summon, then I can summon out that Synchro monster right away! So I'll go ahead and Tune my Level One Gum Prize with Level Eight Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, to pave the way for an even mightier dragon!"

"You've found a way to Synchro Summon during my turn too?" Yusei asked in surprise.

"That's right!" Yugo said in a singsong voice.

(1 + 7 = LV8)

"Behold and watch as the essence of my new monster take shape! Watch as it is forged by raw power! I Synchro Summon! Take flight, Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon!"

The crystal version of his ace monster appeared, glowing with sparkling stardust as it hovered above him, roaring defiantly at Shooting Star Dragon and Stardust Charge Warrior.

(Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon - 3000/2500)

"Impressive, but not strong enough to stand up to any of my monsters," Yusei said. "Not when I play this card: United We Stand! With this card, I can give my Stardust Charge Warrior and extra eight hundred attack and defence points for every monster on my field. Since I've got two monsters on my field, that means my Charge Warrior gains sixteen hundred more attack and defence points!"

(Stardust Charge Warrior - 3600/2900)

"And now I activate my Shooting Star Dragons special ability! With it, I can check the top five cards of my deck for Tuner monsters, and then Shooting Star Dragon can attack as many times as the number of Tuner monsters I draw." Yusei then said.

Yugo briefly considered using his Crystal Wing Synchro Dragons special ability, but he wanted to see what Yusei's dragon could do. Yugo knew that this was a monster summoned by a form of Synchro Summoning that he had never heard of before. It could be able to fend off against his monsters ability, so he wanted to play it safe.

Yusei drew his five cards, and then nodded. "I've drawn three of them: Debris Dragon, Nitro Synchron and Turbo Synchron. That means my monster can attack three times, which means that-!"

"It changes nothing!" Yugo shouted, pointing up at Crystal Wing. "I've forgot to mention another one of Speedroid Gum Prizes special abilities: when it's used for a Synchro Summon, the Synchro monster summoned with it gains an extra one thousand attack points until the end of this turn. So that means my Synchro Dragons new attack power is four thousand!"

(Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon - 4000/2500)

"Doesn't bother me one bit," Yusei shrugged. "I reveal my trap card: Synchro Might! With it, I can give my Shooting Star Dragon an extra four hundred attack points for every Synchro Monster on the field! Since I'm counting three on the field, that means my Star Dragon gains an extra twelve hundred points!"

(Shooting Star Dragon - 4300/2500)

"Now then, let's take that monster of yours out! Shooting Star Dragon, attack his Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon with Falling Star Slam!"

His dragon pounced into the air like an actual shooting star. It then burst into three separate dragons that each glowed a different colour: one in bright red, another in ocean blue, and the third in golden yellow. They each fell down towards Yugo's dragon, but he wasn't going to let his dragon go down that easily.

Just then, Yugo saw another Action Card on the field coming towards him. He instantly grabbed for it, relived at what card it was.

"I activate the Action Spell known as Miracle! Not only does this save my monster from being destroyed, but I take half of the battle damage!" he shouted, playing the Action Spell right away.

Yugo: 3850 LP
Yusei: 4000 LP

"You stopped your dragons destruction once, but this second attack will change all that," Yusei shouted. "Shooting Star Dragon, ATTACK!"

Yugo flung his arm outwards to his left to grab yet another Action Card. "Not with the Action Spell known as Evasion! This stops your monsters attack!"

Shooting Star Dragon stopped, but still hovered above Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon.

"The third time is the charm, Shooting Star Dragon!" Yusei pointed at Yugo's monster. "Attack him one last time! Falling Star Slam!"

His monster rushed towards Yugo's monster, but the young duellist had other plans on his mind.

"I activate Speedroid Tri-Eyed Dices special ability from my graveyard!" he shouted, collecting his monster from his graveyard and showing it to Yusei. "By banishing him from the game, I can negate your monsters attack! Slam him back, Crystal Wing!"

His monster nodded, spinning around in a circle and smashing its tail into the head of Yusei's monster, making it fall back like Yugo had hurt its pride or something.

Yusei had other plans. He looked up and sped upwards onto the side wall. Yugo frowned, until he saw the Action Card hovering above the wall. Yusei sped up and actually leaped off the wall, grabbing the Action Spell.

"I activate Wonder Chance!" he said, just as his dragon caught him in its huge arms and placed him back on the track. "This gives my monster one additional attack this turn, and I'm using it on Shooting Star Dragon!"

Yugo growled in annoyance. "Just great."

"Let him have it, Star Dragon!" Yusei yelled. "Falling Star Slam!"

His dragon shot forward one more time. If Yugo didn't stop this attack, then he won't stand a chance against his other monster. Luckily, he did have a card in his hand to help him with that.

"I activate the Quick-Play spell card: De-Synchro!" Yugo shouted quickly. "I can select one Synchro monster on my field and split it back into the two original monsters I used to Synchro Summon it! So I get two monsters, and you get no target!"

Just as Shooting Star Dragon was about to collide into Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon, it split apart into two different monsters: Clear Wing Synchro Dragon and Speedroid Gum Prize, both in attack mode. Shooting Star Dragon missed both of Yugo's monsters and flew back to Yusei's side.

"Fine then, but I still have Stardust Charge Warrior to activate his special abil-"

"Not on my watch you won't!" Yugo screamed, thrusting his finger outwards and pointing at Clear Wing. "Clear Wing, YOU'RE UP!"

Clear Wing Synchro Dragon roared loudly as it flashed wildly. Instantly, whatever Stardust Charge Warrior was planning to do stopped completely.

"What are you doing to my Warrior?" Yusei demanded.

"Whenever a level five or higher monster activates its special ability, once per turn, Clear Wing can negate that ability and instantly DESTROY that monster!" Yugo declared.

"AH, NO WAY!" Yusei exclaimed in shock.

"Oh, yes way! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, you know what to do! REVERSE REVENGE!"

Clear Wing sent a blast of clear white energy towards Yusei's Stardust Charge Warrior and instantly blasted it backwards before it exploded into thousands of particles.

"And now I activate my second facedown: Battle Of Synchro Spirits!" Yugo shouted. "Now Yusei, since we've both got a Synchro Monster on both our fields, this card forces them to attack each other!"

"Why do that?" Yusei asked in confusion. "That makes no sense. My Shooting Star Dragon has more attack strength than Clear Wing Synchro Dragon."

"Just watch and learn! Clear Wing, attack Shooting Star Dragon! SPIN STORM SKY STRIKE!"

Clear Wing sprung into the air, spinning once again as it began to dive downwards.

Yusei growled. "I'm not liking where this is going."

He saw another Action Card so he sped up the wall and grabbed it, just like the others. "I'll play this: the Action Spell known as Battle Pause! This card ends the Battle Phase of this turn, so all monsters immediately end their attacks!"

To Yugo's utter disappointment, Clear Wing stopped its attack and flew right beside Yugo as he sped after Yusei.

"Phew, after an intense Battle Phase like that, I need to cool down!" the announcer cried out with her microphone. "After what everyone thought was Yusei's biggest move yet, he ends this Battle Phase with one last effort! And now both Yusei and Yugo have two highly skilled monsters on their field, with both players having very little cards in their hands. Who will rein supreme in this duel?!"

Yusei's face appeared on the screen in front of Yugo. "I had a hunch about what you were planning. When you destroyed my Stardust Charge Warrior with your Synchro Dragons special ability, I'm guessing that it gained some attack points?"

Yugo nodded. "That's Clear Wing Synchro Dragons ability: when it destroys a monster with a level five or higher status wth it's Reverse Revenge ability, it would gain the original attack points of that destroyed monster. That was what I was planning: Clear Wing would've gotten a serious attack power of forty five hundred attack points, which was more than your Shooting Star Dragon. You're lucky that you managed to end your own Battle Phase before that happened."

Yusei nodded. Then he surprisingly smiled. "You're one tough kid, you know that? Only guys from either the Slums or the Satellite duel like you do. I've had my fair share of tough opponents in my life, but I've never faced someone like you in a duel before. And I can tell you and your dragon have a close bond."

Yugo looked to his right, seeing Clear Wing Synchro Dragon look up at Yusei as it flew steadily next to its master. It then gave a loud triumphant roar, which Yugo understood.

"Clear Wing says the same thing," he said, smiling back at Yusei. "So, what are you going to throw at me next? I'm ready for what you throw at me, so bring it!"

Yusei smiled even more at that. "The only thing that's getting thrown at is the pavement, since I'm placing one card facedown. You're up, Yugo."

Yugo nodded, drawing his next card. "I play this card: Pot Of Desires. This card lets me banish the top ten cards of my deck, and then draw two more cards. Then I play this: Card Of Sanctity! Yusei nodded, drawing his new additional cards. When Yugo looked at what he drew, he admitted to himself that he drew some pretty good cards, but he was not so sure if they could be able to stand up to Yusei's Shooting Star Dragon. He looked at his side of the field: Clear Wing Synchro Dragon and Speedroid Gum Prize, plus one facedown card on his field. He was gonna need some more help, and that meant-

A searing pain flared in Yugo's head, making him cry out and clutch his head with both hands, groaning as the pain intensified. Luckily his Duel Runner was on Duel Mode (auto-pilot settings), otherwise he would've crashed. Clear Wing saw its master in pain and gave Yugo a low growl, asking him a question.

"Something...something is wrong..." he wheezed out, feeling very out of breath. "Yuya...he's in trouble..."

Yusei frowned at Yugo, and slowed down straight away until he was riding next to the white suited duellist on the left. He gave Yugo a worried look when he saw the rider clutching his head in pain.

"Hey, are you alright pal?" he asked. "Talk to me! What's wrong?"

"My head...something...is wrong with Yuya," Yugo groaned.

Yusei instantly perked up at this. He looked sideways at the announcer, who looked just as confused as everyone in the stadium. Yusei pressed something on his Duel Runner, and instantly the live feed on both Duel Runners were turned off.

"I've turned the live feed off," Yusei said. "Now we can talk privately. You say something is wrong with your brother? You can sense that something is off?"

Yugo didn't know how Yusei knew that he and Yuya shared a mental link with each other, but he was in too much pain to even think about that right now. "He's cornered...he and our older brother, Yuto...they're in trouble...there's someone else with them..."

Yusei nodded, and was about to say something when they heard a huge explosion from behind them. People screamed in terror and the next thing Yugo knew, a huge black mass was coming straight out of the fire as it sped towards the two duellist.

"What in the world is that?!" Yugo exclaimed.

"I have no idea, but I'm guessing we're about to find out!" Yusei said with a serious tone.

And they did find out. Coming out of the fire was a pure pitch black Duel Runner with blazing red stripes that flared with actual fire. On either side of it were what appeared to be wings that stretched out at four feet long. The driver of the Duel Runner was a black hooded figure, wearing what appeared to be a cloak of some kind. Yugo could see that he had long strands of dark brown hair, but it was hidden completely under that hood. I heard him laugh madly, and it seriously creeped Yugo out.

Through the red haze of pain, he saw the rider removing his hood and revealed to Yusei and Yugo his masked face. It looked like the front face and eyes of a black dragon and the owner just looked at the two riders like prey.

"How exciting," he said in a monotone voice. "Too bad that I have to crash this duel."
