Video 9 - Sister Location (ErrInk)
"Ay, Fin-Gaf is back!" Error said, pumping his fist before lowering it, "Sh*t. It's this stupid game again."
"We both screamed like babies last time, so let's try not to get scared this time," Ink said.
Just then, the game loaded in, drawing the two's attention. It showed the interior of an elevator, shaking violently as it went downwards to who knows where. Two pictures of animatronics were on the walls.
"The graphics look better," Error commented.
"And it's like shaking too, that looks neato," Ink said.
"Welcome back for another night of intellectual stimulation, pivotal carrier choices, and self reflection on past mistakes."
"Oh, great, we're just hopping right in then," Ink said.
"I'm honestly worried about this, because of Dream and Killer crying earlier," Error said, "Will it really be that bad?"
"They're the worst ones here, so hopefully it's not too bad," Ink said.
"We're committed to creating a unique and fulfilling work experience. One part of that commitment is ensuring that you don't get tired of the voice that you are hearing right now."
"Oh, the games cares about us!" Ink said, "It's totally a trap."
"Yup."
A yellow tablet popped up on the screen with a keypad on it.
"Oh, hello there," Ink said, moving his mouse over it.
"Using the keypad below, please select a new companion voice. For male, press 1. For female, press 2. For text only, press 3. For other options, press 4."
Error stared at it for a moment before sighing, pointing his hands at the screen while stating, "There's no numbers."
"Yup," Ink sighed, "Called it, he was lying to us!"
"It seems you were having some trouble with the keypad. I see what you were trying to type and I will auto correct it for you."
"Certain death?" Error asked.
"Thank you for choosing Angsty teen."
The two snorted.
"This game," Ink wheezed out, leaning on his side while covering his face.
Just then, some distant sounds of movement played, making the two perk up.
"So I'm guessing we're going to get the tablet soon?" Error asked.
They simply watched as a loud buzz filled the air and the elevator stopped. But then the words 'Night 2' filled the screen as some nice music played in the background.
"I can jam to this," Ink said, snapping his fingers while wiggling in his seat a bit.
"The elevator stopped, you know the routine. You can get off now, or whatever. Stay here if you want."
"Oh. My. Gosh." Error wheezed, covering his face, "This cannot be the actual game, right? The one that made Dream and Killer cry. No way."
Ink clicked the red button and then clicked on the vent opening, the screen showing the inside of the vent.
"So funny story. A dead body was found in this vent once."
"How lovely," Error said.
"Okay, so, not that funny... but it's a story."
"Speak for yourself, I found that hilarious!" Ink said.
"Is there something I need to be concerned about?" Error asked, turning to his boyfriend.
"Nope, not at all!" Ink joked, "On a completely unrelated note, ignore the smell from the basement."
"Okay then, that seems legit and not at all a murderer," Error said, crawling through the vent.
"Okay, let's start with your nightly chores."
The screen changed to the inside of a main room.
"You should check on Ballora and check that she's on her stage, but... whatever."
"Hey, he said whatever, we should leave while we can," Ink said, tugging on Error's arm.
"This game just has a creepy setting, I don't think anything is going to happen," Error said confidently as he clicked on the sun.
"Huh, I guess Ballora has better things to do. Let's zap her. That should be fun."
"Well, it does look creepy, but I don't trust the creator of this game," Ink mumbled as the two completely ignored the story and only focused on the game-play.
The zap was quick, but was immediately followed with creepy sounds that neither heard because they were talking.
"He just used cheap jumpscares the first time around, he probably is just going to resort to that again," Error said, moving to the other side, "And this is probably a tutorial anyway, it's teaching me what to do when they leave their stages, zap them. We can even attack in this."
"Do you think we just light up near the windows and zap them if they get close? Maybe the cameras are ahead," Ink said as Error crawled through the vent.
Neither payed attention to the story whatsoever.
Neither of them had expected it when the office suddenly went dark, the two glancing at the screen in confusion.
"I don't recognize you."
"Oh, okay then, I think the real game is starting now," Error said.
"You are new. I remember this... scenario, however. It's a strange thing to want to do, to come here."
"You're here, aren't you?" Error asked.
"I'm curious what events would lead a person to want to spend their nights in a place like this, willingly. Maybe curiosity? Maybe ignorance."
"An elevator," Error said.
"Pft," Ink snorted, covering his teeth.
"There is a space under the desk; someone before you crafted it into a hiding place, and it worked for him. I recommend that you hurry, though. You will be safe there."
"I'm not going to do it," Error said, crossing his arms and turning away, "I don't trust it."
"Just try not to make eye contact. It will be over soon. They will lose interest."
"I'll do it," Ink sighed, leaning over and grabbing the mouse to click under the desk, "Oh, this was a mistake. It's a vent."
"A straight path to escape from their stages to us! Don't trust anyone in this game!" Error said.
"Wait, there's a cover," Ink said, clicking on it once for it to move over slightly, but not moving further.
"I think you have to click it a bunch," Error said, "Stupid game design."
And so, Ink moved the cover slowly, clicking it constantly to slowly move it across the screen, neither realizing that the box literally said that they would have to click and drag it across.
"That took forever," Ink muttered.
"I have a feeling the game creator is just going to try and scare us," Error said.
The two were not naturals at this game.
Distant sounds of thumping against metal filled their mics, growing closer as the two just watched in confusion. When Error ran his mouse over an eye, the two jerked in their seats slightly as he shot it into the corner.
"Someone is inside."
"Oh, yeah, I'm not liking this," Error said, "Not at all."
"You think I'm enjoying this either?" Ink breathed out, "This game is terrible, and I think we should both quit while we're ahead."
"Is it the same person?"
When the sounds of metal hitting metal played, Error nodded frantically, grabbing Ink's hand and leading his lover out of the room as quickly as possible. Neither of them wanted to deal with the jump scare they knew was going to happen eventually, so they booked it while they could.
They didn't want to scream like babies again.
