Our Child: Septiplier
I've never written a story like this... but I recently read a one shot book by Otakuchan431 and it had a story where Jack and Mark had a child and stuff and it brought me to tears. So I was inspired to write one! Enjoy! ^-^
Mark's P.O.V.
I heard a familiar sound from upstairs. Jack was hurling his guts out. I walked upstairs and creaked the door open to the bathroom. My nose was immediately filled with the putrid scent of Jack's vomit. Jack flushed the toilet, standing up wearily.
" Oh, good morning Mark!" the Irishman chirped.
" Mornin' sweetness." I replied, sipping on my cup of coffee.
Jack grabbed a toothbrush and toothpaste. He scrubbed his teeth, and spit out the foamy residue.
Poor Jack was 36 weeks pregnant. He was feeling gradually less and less okay. After all, only 15% of men survive their pregnancies. But Jack wanted to raise a child. So I agreed.
I snapped out of my daze when he placed a kiss on my lips, and waltzed out of the bathroom.
I walked out of the bathroom, turning the corner to walk down the stairs. I saw Jack's frail hands grip tightly on the railing.
" Do you need help Jack?" I asked softly.
He turned around wearily.
" I'm okay Markimoo!" he replied, trying to stay positive.
I think we both knew that he wasn't going to survive his pregnancy. We just didn't want to believe it. We kept going on without bringing up the issue. How was I going to tell his 20 million fans? How was I going to raise Amanda by myself? I needed Jack. I loved him too much to let him go.
I felt tears sting the corner of my eyes. I pushed them back. Jack needed me to be strong right now.
" I'm not hungry..." Jack mumbled.
" Jack..." I sighed, " You gotta eat. I'm worried."
Jacks baby blue eyes looked into my brown eyes. I saw that his eyes were glassed over with tears. He let out a choked sob and hugged me tightly. I felt hot tears race down my face too. I hugged my husband, feeling him burry his face in my shoulder. He screamed in pain and sadness. He knew that he wasn't going to make it. I knew he wasn't going to make it.
" I've tried so damn hard Mark! I just wanted to raise my own child!" he sobbed, gripping my shirt.
I wailed pathetically, clutching his back. My sobs and Jack's filled my ears. We both loved each other so much, and we both wanted to just have a family together. But... we couldn't.
Suddenly Jack screamed loudly. I jumped in fear, hearing my husband's stomach churning scream.
" MARK! HOSPITAL NOW!" Jack cried, doubling over in pain.
I grabbed his hand, pulling him out to the car. I opened the passenger door and practically threw him inside. I raced over to the driver's door and hopped in. I threw the car into reverse and flew out of the driveway.
Jack's screams of pain filled the car. Tears pricked my eyes as I heard him wail.
" Jack. I need you to breathe. In and out. In and out. In and out." I said, trying to stay calm.
Jack's shaky breaths filled the car as he tried to breathe. I leaned over and rubbed his back.
" Mark... I don't want this to be the way I die." Jack whispered.
" Don't talk like that." I answered softly, " You're gonna be fine."
I felt hot tears roll down my face as we neared the hospital.
" I'm sorry!" I cried, trying to wipe away the tears.
Jack's shaky fingers came over to my face and wiped away my tears. The simple gesture of kindness made me sob even more.
I pulled into a parking space, trying to get under control. I opened the door to Jack's seat, and I grabbed his hand. He stood up shakily, grabbing my shoulder for support. I helped to walk him into the emergency room. The automatic doors opened, and I was immediately overwhelmed by the sterile smell of the ER. Immediately upon entrance, three doctors took Jack from my arms and wheeled him away. His baby blue eyes looked back into mine as they wheeled him away.
With tears still falling from my eyes, I went to the front desk. The receptionist looked up and her eyes nearly doubled in sight. She poked her friend next to her and her friends eyes widened.
" Umm... hi Mark!" she chirped.
Shit. A fan. Not right now!
" We can get you and Jack checked in right here..." she mumbled, clicking away at the computer.
I tried to control my tears, but they just kept flowing. I felt like a complete idiot. In front of two fans and all.
" Uh... I'm gonna need Jack's date of birth, address, and the reason that he's here." she asked.
" He wa-s born o-n Feb-ruary seventh nin-teen ni-nety. His adr-ess is XXXX Elm Street, and he's here be-cause... we ar-e hav-ing a ch-ild." I stammered, my grip tightening on the counter.
" Congratulations Ma-" she was interrupted by her friends phone.
The song 'Bitch I'm Fabulous' blared out from her phone.
" Sorry! I gotta take this." she exclaimed.
She scurried out from the desk, cussing at her phone.
" Congratulations Mark!" she repeated, laughing a bit.
" Thanks..." I muttered.
" So, if you follow me, I can get you a sterile grown and hair net so you can be with Jack." she said smiling warmly.
" Thanks uh..." I said, peering at her name tag.
" My names Amanda!" she said happily, " Anyways, just come this way and I can get you the gown and stuff."
She came out from behind the desk and led me down the hallway. People rushed by us. Doctors, patients on beds, etc. I was snapped out of my daze when Amanda handed me the gown and hairnet.
" So, Jack is in room... um... 17! It's down that hallway and to the left." Amanda said happily.
" Thanks Amanda. You've been a great help." I said wearily.
" Well Mark. It was such an honor to meet you! You're an amazing person, and don't stop being you. Tell Jack congrats too. I love you guys so much." Amanda said, rushing in to hug me.
I hugged her back tightly. She pulled away, clearly flustered.
" Sorry! I shouldn't have... I was just so-." she cried.
" It's fine." I said, placing my hand on her shoulder.
She smiled before turning to go back to the front desk. I ran down the hallway towards room 17. I quickly tossed the gown and hairnet on and walked into the room. A nurse saw me enter and grabbed my shoulders.
" Seán has requested you to be here. I assume you're Mark?" she said, talking a million miles an hour.
" I'm Mark..." I replied, trying to crane my neck to see Jack.
" Listen..." the nurse said, lowering her voice, " Jack's in critical condition, and we don't think he's going to make it."
Tears filled my eyes as I looked away from her.
" I know he can make it." I whispered.
She pat my shoulder and went back to assisting the doctor. I walked over to the side of the bed where Jack was.
" Mark!" he cried, tears flowing down his even paler face.
" It's okay Jack. I'm here. Breathe for me." I said, trying to stay calm.
Jack shakily tried to breathe. I looked down and immediately regretted it. The bed and floor was covered in Jack's blood. I gagged, feeling vomit come into my throat. I pushed it back down, coughing slightly.
" Mark... it hurts so bad." Jack whimpered.
" You're gonna be fine. Everything's fine." I replied, grabbing Jack's shaky hand.
" Talk to me Mark." Jack whispered, " It makes me feel better."
" Okay Jack." I responded, squeezing Jack's hand, " I met a fan at the front desk. Her name was Amanda. She was sweet and very funny. She was also very respectful to me. She didn't demand a picture while I was in the hospital-"
" That's common sense though." Jack laughed.
" You'd be surprised." I giggled, " But, she really did want us to be happy. She said congratulations to you and me. Isn't that sweet?"
" Yeah... she sounds amazing." Jack answered.
As soon as Jack said that, the door creaked open. I saw Amanda walk in. Her jaw dropped as she saw Jack and I. She was holding a thing of Starbucks coffee.
" I... I have the coffee." she stammered.
" Jack, that's Amanda. The girl I just told you about." I said, gesturing to Amanda.
" T-t-top of t-he morn-in' 'Man-da!" Jack stuttered, waving to Amanda.
Amanda beamed, adjusting her hairnet.
" I can't believe this is happening!" she exclaimed under her breath.
She handed the coffee out to all the nurses, a smile still on her face. Jack and I just looked at each other, beaming. It was so uplifting to see a sweet teenager be so excited.
" If only I was a nurse!" she exclaimed to one of the nurses in the back, " I could stay with them!"
Amanda turned to leave, but stopped when Jack spoke.
" Doctor... could Amanda stay?" Jack asked softly.
" If you really want her to..." the doctor replied.
Amanda's jaw dropped.
" Seriously?!" she exclaimed, " The Jacksepticeye and Markiplier invited me to stay!"
Jack smiled wearily, squeezing my hand tightly.
" You're just such an energetic person, like Jack. He couldn't resist." I joked, smiling at Amanda.
" Thanks Jack... you're amazing." Amanda answered, hugging her arms tightly.
" FUCK!" Jack screamed, gripping my hand so tightly his knuckles turned white.
" Shh. Jack you're okay." I cooed, pushing his sweaty green hair out of his face.
I saw Amanda's hazel eyes widen. She looked like she desperately wanted to help Jack. She mouthed, ' It's okay Jack." under her breath. Tears pricked the corners of her eyes.
I looked down at Jack, seeing his eyes squeezed shut in pain. I looked back up at Amanda. She mimicked Jack's actions. Her eyes flew open.
" DOCTOR!" she screamed, " Jack's going to die! He needs to be more propped up underneath his back! That position can damage his spinal fluids!"
The doctor peered up at Jack.
" You're right Amanda. Nurses! I need you to prop up Seán's lower back with something." the doctor demanded.
My eyes looked into Amanda's. I beckoned for her to come here. Amanda's eyes widened as she stepped closer to the bed. I pointed to the space next to me. She nodded and came closer to me.
" I need you to help Jack too. You seem to know what you're doing." I whispered to Amanda.
She nodded, and looked down at Jack.
" Okay... um... hi Jack! I'm Amanda. The girl you let stay. I just came over with Mark to help you feel better. It's something I'm good with. I need you to picture Mark's face." Amanda said, gaining confidence as she went along.
" Ok-ay." Jack responded, his breathing heavy.
" Think about how Mark makes you so happy! Think about his chocolate brown eyes, his raven black hair, his perfect nose, his million dollar smile, everything." Amanda said, her voice even and calm, " Think about how much he means to you. Think about how he makes you happier than anything in the whole world!"
Jack's breathing started to become slower, and more controlled. Amanda stood on her tiptoes and whispered in my ear.
" It typically helps if you rub Jack's back, hold his hand, give him a kiss, anything. Any touch from a loved one will help him. I'm gonna keep talking to him, and you join in if you want. But focus mostly on soothing him through touch." Amanda whispered.
I nodded in response. I began to rub Jack's back softly, earning a loud sigh from Jack. Amanda shot me a toothy grin.
" Jack... what's something that you love to think about?" Amanda asked.
" Mmmm... probably either Mark, my job, my loving viewers, or the child we're about to have. Those things make me so happy." Jack responded, looking at Amanda.
Amanda smiled brightly.
" Awesome! So... you're adventure on YouTube is something that 20 million people have followed with you through. Isn't that incredible? I followed you and Mark since... well for you Jack, I've been with you since about 3k, and Mark since 2k. You guys are such amazing people! I've always loved getting up everyday and seeing what you guys put out. It made my day here a lot more bright! When I was on break, it was straight to your guy's videos!" she exclaimed, clasping her hands.
Jack's jaw dropped.
" Since 3k?!" he exclaimed, " Jesus Christ 'Manda!"
Amanda smiled happily, patting my shoulder.
" Yep! And also, don't get me started on how adorable your guy's baby girl is gonna be! I'm so excited to see this beautiful child of yours. She's going to be the best thing that's ever happened to you two. And I'm just so thankful I get to be here with you guys for it." she told Jack happily.
" Yeah, she's gon- HOLY FUCKING CHRIST!" Jack screamed, grabbing the sides of the bed tightly.
" Seán. Mark. Your child was just born. She's being cleaned off, then brought right back to you." The doctor exclaimed, standing up.
Jack was panting heavily, grabbing mine and Amanda's hands.
" Thank you both!" Jack exclaimed, " HOLY SHIT MARK WE HAVE A DAUGHTER!"
Tears poured down jacks face as he hugged me tightly. I pulled away from the hug and kissed Jack passionately. I turned around and hugged Amanda tightly.
" Thank you so much." I whispered in Amanda's ear.
I pulled away, seeing tears roll down Amanda's face too.
" Congrats Jack and Mark!" she exclaimed again.
The doctors had just finished cleaning Jack up.
" We are going to take Jack into a room for him to stay in. You two may take off your gowns and hairnets once we leave the room. There's a trash can outside. You may then come into the room that Jack's staying in." The doctor said drearily.
" Thanks!" Amanda and I said in sync.
" Bye darling." Jack said, waving to me, " OH! And bye Amanda!"
Amanda waved back at Jack. The two of us looked down at our gowns and saw that they were covered in Jack's blood. I gagged, and ran over to a trash can. I threw up loudly, and stumbled away from the trash can.
" These are kinda gross, lets get 'em off." Amanda giggled, peeling the blood covered gown off. I followed, taking off the gown and hairnet. We tossed them in the trash and jogged to catch up to Jack's hospital bed that was wheeling down the hallway.
" Oh, hey guys!" Jack said cheerily.
" Hey love." I cooed, rubbing his forehead.
Jack smiled softly, looking at Amanda.
" You were amazing. I can't thank you enough." Jack said happily to Amanda.
" No problem. I was so glad I could help you two." she answered gleefully.
" I'm so excited to see Samantha!" I cheered.
" Hell yeah!" Jack and Amanda answered in sync.
We all laughed loudly, and entered the room Jack was staying in. Two nurses helped Jack to stand, and helped him into the bed.
" We will bring Samantha in shortly!" the nurses said.
They left the room, just leaving us three by ourselves.
" So... Amanda! We don't know you very well, so tell us about yourself!" Jack said, yawning softly.
" Well. I'm Amanda. I'm 14. I live at this 'child care' place, but it's basically an orphanage. They name it that to get it past the American government. Kids come and go every now and then... but not me! I've been there for 14 years." Amanda said, her smile fading as she talked about the orphanage.
" What's the 'child care' place called?" Jack asked, cocking his eyebrow.
" Um, it's called Mrs. Petunias Child Care Association. It's a Hellhole." she groaned.
" Sounds like it..." I replied.
The doctor walked in the room with Samantha in their arms. She handed Samantha to Jack.
" Oh my god..." Jack whispered.
" It's our baby girl!" I cried, feeling tears fall from my eyes.
I held out my finger, and I felt the baby grab it softly. Jack and I were in tears, just holding our baby girl.

" This is the best decision ever!" Jack said excitedly, holding Sam in his arms.
" I know. She's going to be so excited. I hope. I wonder if they told her." I replied.
Sam made a gargling sound as she looked up at Jack. Her big blue eyes were scanning our surroundings. We were on a country road with nothing accept trees and farms around us. I reached over and ruffled her black locks that were starting to grow. She giggled and started to eat my finger.
" Sam!" I exclaimed, pulling the car into the a parking space.
I pulled my finger out of Sam's mouth as I opened the door. Jack opened the door with one hand and stepped out. He grabbed my hand and we walked up to the door. We walked inside and we heard screams and laughter of young children.
" Um... hi! We are here to see Amanda." Jack said to the receptionist.
" Oh... her. Right away sir. Please go into this room and wait while we get her." she answered Jack.
I smiled at Jack happily. I opened the door to the room and Jack and I sat in the two chairs by the desk.
" I wonder if she's excited?" Jack said, booping Sam's nose.
Sam giggled and grabbed Jack's hair.
" I bet she is. I wonder if they told her who were are, or if she's gonna be surprised!" I replied.
Jack and I both turned around as we heard the door creak open. We saw the receptionist come in first, followed by Amanda. Amanda looked at Jack, then me, then Sam. She didn't say anything. She froze in complete shock.
" Come here Amanda." the receptionist growled.
Amanda stumbled over to her seat.
After tons of paper work, talk about the responsibilities, gathering Amanda's things, and boring stuff, we took Amanda home. As soon as we walked out of the orphanage, she screamed.
" OH MY GOD AM I DREAMING?!" she yelled.
" Nope!" I said happily.
" I can't believe this." she cried, breaking down into tears.
Jack hugged her tightly.
" Now we are all one happy family." I said.
Now it's just me, Jack, Sam, and Amanda against the world. Forever.
