Megaplier (Me x Markiplier) ~ High School Dream: Part One
Yes, this is a one-shot between me and Markiplier. Yes, I do like him, so don't judge me.
Also, this is the first part of this one-shot. So, get ready for the next part in a few days to a week!
Now, on with the story!
--------------------------------------------------
I walked quietly into my biology class, my bag slung over my shoulder and my books in my hand. I was staring at my feet with my hood on my OFF hoodie up because I knew my crush was in this class. In fact, I had every class with him. It was annoying, yet amazing at the same time.
His name was Mark Fischbach. He had short black hair that seemed to have a new hairstyle everyday and beautiful brown eyes. He loved to wear plaid button-up shirts or just t-shirts and jeans. He also had cute little glass, like I do. Oh, how much I wanted him to like me back.
Another thing, we sit at the same table this hour. This was fourth hour, so our lunch was next. I couldn't wait to hang out with my three best friends in the world, who didn't have any classes with me. Their names were Lyss, Keegan (who's a girl, just if you were curious), and Abby.
I sat down next to Mark just as the bell rang. I took off my hood, knowing that the teacher would get pissed if he saw me wearing it. Mark looked at me and smiled friendly. I returned it with a small smile of my own. We both looked at our teacher, Mr. Crossing, as he walked into the room wearing his suit and black tie with his slicked back hair. I personally hated him because he seemed to hate me, but everyone else thought he was cool.
"Today, we'll be dissecting a baby pig. You will pair up with the person sitting at your table. One of you come up here and get one of the pigs, please," he said, his hands behind his back. I looked over at Mark, who had glanced at me too. He smiled again and said, "I'll go get it. Get your notebook out so you'll be ready to take notes." He got up and walked to the front of the classroom and I stared after him, daydreaming. I snapped out of it quickly and dug around my bag for my biology notebook.
When he came back to the table carrying the dead pig, I had my notebook open and pencil in hand. He placed the pig on the tray and picked up a knife. I shuddered as he cut the middle of the pig's stomach. Mark saw me shudder and smiled up at me (I'm taller than he is by like, two inches). "Forgot that you don't like the dissecting stuff. You can look away if you need to," Mark said in his beautiful voice. I looked away, glancing at my bag and examining it out of boredom. My thoughts floated and rested on the fact that Mark had remembered that I hated dissected animals. I just felt so bad for them! But, I found it sweet that he remembered this about me since I had told him at the beginning of the year (we were a bit over half-way through the school year now).
"Okay, can you take a few notes now?" Mark asked me. I turned and looked directly at my notebook and nothing else; I resisted the instinct to look at the pig's guts and wrote down what he said.
After we were down, we realized that we had ten minutes left in class. We awkwardly sat in silence for a while before he finally took a deep breath. I looked over at him and he was looking at me. "Um, Megan?" he said nervously; I've never heard him like this before.
"What's up?" I answered calmly even though my mind was racing. He took a minute before replying as though he was gathering his thoughts. Then, he spoke.
"You know how the prom is on Friday? Well, I was wondering, well, if you w-wanted to go with me?" he said, tripping over his words a bit. I stared at him for a minute before shaking my head and smiling. "I would love to go to prom with you," I said, happiness filling my voice. I pinched myself quickly, wondering if this was a dream. I felt a small spark of pain and my smile widened. But, I think Mark was smiling wider than me.
"Okay, let's meet up here at seven," he said, relieved. Just then, the bell rang and everyone rushed out of the classroom to get to lunch. Mark waited for me and we left the room together. In the rush of the hallway, Mark managed to get a hold of my hand. I looked down at our intertwined fingers and smiled again. This was just too perfect.
We got into the lunchroom and Mark followed me to where my friends and I sat. At the table, Keegan and Abby sat on one side and Lyss sat in front of Abby on the other; my spot was next to Lyss. They had already gotten their food and were digging in. I brought my own lunch because I dare not eat what the cafeteria served. "You can just eat some of my lunch, I've got plenty," I told him as we walked towards my friends.
Lyss looked up at Mark and I as we were walking towards them and she nearly spit out the food in her mouth. She gestured at Keegan and Abby, her eyes still on Mark and I, and soon all three of them were looking at us. I felt myself go bright red as I sat down next to Lyss and Mark sat down next to me. "Uh, guys, this is Mark, as you know. We're going to prom together," I said, eyeing them suspiciously. Each began to smile from ear to ear. Then, Lyss, being like an older sister to me, cleared her throat and reached in front of me to shake Mark's hand. "Hello, Mark. We've hear a lot of good things about you. I'm Lyss, and those two are Keegan and Abby as you might already know," she said, introducing them. He shook her hand cautiously, as though he didn't exactly trust her.
"We hope you'll be good to her," Abby said with a devilish sort of grin. Well, we did call her Lucifer for a reason.
"Leave him alone guys. He's cool," I said, smiling at him. He smiled back and we all ate our lunch, laughing and joking as though we were always friends.
