Parent Phan

    "It was a warm night, mid June and I was just sitting there, alone at the library. I was still in college, so I was studying for finals. Then I heard the door open as a gorgeous stranger walked in. His hair was all curly, you could tell he hadn't put much effort into it. He had beautiful brown eyes that just pierced my soul. His shirt was black,his hoodie as well. He looked at me, gave me a smirk, and I fell head over heels for him." Phil spoke, every time he spoke of the first time he met Dan his eyes lit up. "Good night children.I love you two."

"Good night papa. I love you." His Daughter spoke first then his son. He tucked them into bed and returned back to the main room, his husband waiting for him. "They asleep?" Dan asked retrieving some beer from the fridge then leaning into kiss him. "Not quite asleep, but in bed."

"Then I guess we have some time to ourselves."

"I guess so."

Phil was lying on Dan's chest watching 'The Great British Baking Show' then Dan began to speak, "I should go check on the kids." When Phil didn't respond Dan knew he was asleep. He picked Phil up, and carried him back to their room. When he lied  Phil down he woke up just enough to say 'goodnight" and 'I love you.' Dan went and checked on the kids, both were asleep. He went back into the room and lied down. Phil snuggled up to him and he fell fast asleep, he remained asleep until, "Dad?" His daughter was standing there next to the bed.

"Yes Emilia?"

"I can't sleep."

"Okay honey, One second." He tried to get out of bed without awaking Phil, and failed. "Where you going?" He spoke worried something was wrong, "Emilia can't sleep, I'll be right back."

"Hurry, this bed is cold without you."

"I know babe, I'll try." With a slight chuckle, and after placing a kiss on phil's forehead Dan went back to the children's room and tucked Emilia back in, bringingher warm milk, checking for monsters under the bed, and closet, and she went back to sleep. When he returned to the room Phil was asleep one again,he quietly crawled under the covers, and phil immediately snuggled up to him. "I love you, Bear."

"I love you too."

Dan re-awoke to  a mess of limbs tangled around him, "Good morning handsome" Phil said awaking Dan even more. Dan pulled the covers up closer to his face and made a groaning noise as he pulled the covers over his head as if he was a five year old. "We should go wake up the kids..."

"I guess." They both got up to awake the children Phil began on his usual saturday breakfast of  chocolate chip pancakes. Dan awoke the children, Emilia didn't wanna wake up, James on the other hand got straight up, got dressed, and headed into the main room and began to talk to his father. After some coaxing and a promise of extra pancakes Emilia got up, and got ready. Dan headed back to kitchen, he walked up behind Phil, put one hand on his hip, and grabbed the spatula out from his hand. "Look at you flip pancakes like a boss." Phil spoke trying to be sexy.

"You do it better," Dan giggled, he gave the spatula back to phil and put the now empty hand on his hip as well. Dan then leaned around Phil's shoulder, kissed him on the cheek, and went to sit down with the kids. They were watching 'The Disney Channel' Dan was laughing harder at the jokes then the kids, and Phil chuckled a bit every time he heard Dan laugh. "Emilia, can you set the table please?" Phil asked as he began to place the pancakes onto a large platter. Phil reached up and grabbed four plates and laid them on the counter. Emilia came by, picked up the plates and grabbed the forks from the drawer. "

"Papa?" James spoke up, "Anything I can do to help?"

"Not at the moment, but you can help your father clean up." Phil spoke.

"Who said I was cleaning?" Dan asked as if he were insulted.

"I cooked today, and cleaned up yesterday. It's your turn."

"I guess that's fair." Dan spoke in a lower, sader voice. Phil chuckled and placed the pancakes on the table. He ran over to Dan and James, he picked up James as well as grabbed Dan's hand in his open one. "Let's just sit down and have a nice family breakfast." Phil said dragging Dan and carrying James to the table. They all sat down at the table and ate Phil's signature chocolate chip pancakes, milk, a handful of terrible jokes, and Phil's extremely bad puns.

After breakfast Dan and James cleaned up, and Emilia went with Phil to try and find a board came for them all to play. Emilia came running into the main room carrying a board game. She laid the game down on the coffee table. The game was titled 'Trouble'.

"Trouble? Again Emmy?" Dan asked.

"It was her turn to choose the game, and this is what she chose." Phil was standing up for his daughter who was simply sitting on the ground with a big smile on her face.

"Fine then. Let's play!"

They all sat around in a big circle, and played the game. James did end up winning,and Dan being the sore loser he is, he got really mad and almost flipped the table. He was pretty angry till Phil leaned over and kissed him. He immediately calmed down. "I love you."

"I love you too papa"

"Hey kids!" phil spoke enthusiastically, "Wanna stay with Grandma tonight? I'm sure she misses you" The kids responded with an overwhelming  yell of "GRANDMA"

Dan smirked, "You're devious lester."

"I know bear."
