Third Person's P.O.V. 

When he walked back to their shared apartment that evening, Seokjin groaned to himself to hear his mother's voice coming from inside the living room and knew for a fact that something ugly was probably about to occur as he cursed himself for even telling her how his 'omega' had been reacting around Taehyung the last few days.

It had already been a long troublesome day, and he had heard that Taehyung had gotten in trouble...exactly like he had predicted he would. He cursed himself for trusting that pink-haired powerpuff too.

However, he felt his heart take a dive out of his chest when he saw Taehyung's father sitting exactly opposite to his mother as he stepped inside the living room.

"Oh...Jin-ah, come in" his mother's voice was way too cheery than Jin could expect "we were actually waiting for you."

He frowned to see the scene, Jungkook sat pretending to not really know about anything that was going on...Jimin sat by his side with a smirk on his face...Hoseok looking equally fascinated while Taehyung sat not meeting his eyes.

"What's going on?"

"Come here" his mother patted to the seat between her and Tae's "Mr. Kim were kind to let me know about everything...and honestly, I don't have any problem with it at all."

Jin blinked at her, not really following her "problem with what?"

"It's ok I understand...I say it's actually good for both of you, you've known each other for such a long time and are comfortable around each other...besides, I'm feel way more assured with him claiming you than any other unknown alpha."

The words made Jin go blank for a moment "wh-what?"

"You've been feeling symptoms of heat Jin-ah...you'll need an alpha to help you through it-" "B-But mum...he...we..."

"If your omega has been reacting to him even without him actually presenting as an alpha, it is evident that you've imprinted on each other Seokjin" Mr. Kim's voice was stern but not harsh "as a purebred his alpha can sense it's mate...it's a natural phenomenon, there's no use denying it..."

Jin looked from him to Taehyung who sat staring at him, his eyes filled with a weird sense of query and confusion just like his own. Yet Jin couldn't lie about the fact that he felt that same kind of pull towards Taehyung as he had been feeling the past few weeks.

"I believe it will be a smarter decision for both of you to not meet other people for the next few days...and stay together."

And honestly Jin couldn't believe what had just happened...neither of them could really register at the moment the fact that somehow in their silent stares and quiet understanding they had suddenly agreed to become mates.

The reality struck him next morning when he woke up to feel Taehyung checking on him.

"Your face is all flushed and red again" long fingers brushed across his brow to rest on his cheek "do you feel feverish?"

Jin sat up blinking at Taehyung, suddenly cringing at how different the other sounded right now as he softly spoke to him, very unlike the loud buffoon the Taehyung he knew usually was.

"No...I'm fine" Jin spoke gulping as the thought of actually agreeing to become his best friends' mate made his insides feel all wrong and right and funny and weird all at the same time!

He woke up, had a shower and went to the living room to see that Jungkook had already left for his classes. However, he was about to choke on his own spit when he saw a line of dishes put together in a rather fancy way to be arranged as breakfast.

"I can't cook...but I guess I wanted 'eating together' look nice" Taehyung tried to clear his throat, yep the situation was hella awkward between them and he too would have to agree that...he had no idea why it was so awkward though, they had practically been living together for a long time now.

"Tae...this is..." Jin didn't know what to say to the gesture which felt too sweet and fancy for them, he was almost sure that this trying to act all sweet and fancy when they weren't even dating each other wasn't really going to work out "very unnecessary".

And Taehyung nodded instantly, looking like a quiet obedient kid all of a sudden and very unlike the loud arrogant jock he often was.

Jin had stayed awake till late last night, denying his mother's suggestion to spend the night with Taehyung and to his completely judging gaze at her, she had sprightly replied sharing a bed leads to sharing scents which makes mates feel even more comfortable around each other.

But unlike in their friendship, it turned out that they're bad trying to work a 'romantic' relationship.

"Why the hell would you order for me?! You know I never like it!" "Why are you overreacting? It's what couples do! My bad I was trying to be thoughtful!" Taehyung blared back at a grumpy Jin.

"I don't wanna have that shitty sub!" "I chose it from your 'frequently ordered' list!"

"So what huh?" Jin snapped, countering him "I don't want you as my mate! You're so bossy!" "Fine! Here!" Taehyung handed him the phone and plopped back down on the couch, hands folded stiffly over his chest "order whatever the fuck you want...I just lost my appetite."

And yet an hour later when Taehyung had already chosen to sulk in his room all alone, he could hear soft footsteps padding up to his door and a quick knock before those footsteps were leaving just as quietly.

He'd always find a paper bag left at his door, with a 'sorry' scribbled in hasty handwriting...it wasn't a habit he had picked as an omega but it was the usual way Jin would try to make up after a fight. Taehyung had been living quite a while with him to know all these little habits of Jin.

But yeah, even Taehyung would have to agree that they were utterly awkward when it came to 'acting' as mates but they were really good as they had been all these years.

And he had a feeling that it was actually way worse because it was a person like Seokjin, who either did things without thinking at all or thought too much till he ruined all will to do the thing!

Taehyung had been trying to look for a chance to kiss the other, and honestly staying at home alone all day it wasn't that hard to get a good chance but Jin seemed to be an idiot who just wouldn't get the hint.

But then again it was also Jin who could do the most shocking of stuff without flinching at all.

Like this evening, it was day two of their staying in and they had gotten bored enough to choose to watch a movie together, sharing a bowl of popcorn and passing the cola while they tried to watch the movie.

"They say alphas' have impressive size..." Jin spoke making Taehyung choke on the drink, however that didn't stop him from carrying on "but you aren't an alpha yet so-" "What are you trying to say?"

"Nevermind" Jin shrugged "I saw you naked when we went to the beach...there isn't much to guess..."

"That was eight years ago! I was ten!" Taehyung blurted feeling offended as he turned towards Jin.

"I can still guess" Jin shrugged again, making Taehyung flip out with insult.

"You can't" he grumbled

"I can" Jin grinned, enjoying being the tease

"You don't have to...I'll be more than glad to clear your doubts"

The room fell awkwardly silent at that and Taehyung grinned turning to Jin now to see his face glowing crimson.

"Why so shy all of a sudden eh? Cat got your tongue baby?"

"D-Don't call me baby...it's too cheesy..." Jin tried to sounded firm despite the red ears and faltering speech.

However, it was still a couple more days till Taehyung's birthday and as customary of normal eighteen year olds, they denied to abide to the suggestion Mr.Kim had given to them about staying indoors and away from other scents that could trigger either of them in a negative way.

"I think you're overreacting Jin" Jungkook placed a steaming bowl of jjang ramen before the other as he pulled the chair next to Jin to take a seat.

"Why do you alphas always say that?! Do I look like some stupid bitch who throws a fit for fun?!" Jin was fuming again, his anger flaring at his best friend now although he too knew that the aggression he held was meant for someone else...another headless alpha actually...

"Then stop throwing a fit at every fucking thing!" A voice from inside the room caught their attention and Jin huffed annoyed, making a face even though he knew Hoseok couldn't see him.

Jungkook sighed choosing to have his ramen instead since he knew he could say nothing that would help to calm Jin down till the omega decided he wanted to calm down. More importantly, he knew Jin had reasons to be anxious.

"How can you eat when my life is literally turning up-side down?! I am about to have my first heat and apparently 'my alpha' is a fucking piece of shit!!"

And Jungkook had to put the chopsticks down as he bit into his cheek "fine...what do you want me to say huh? Yesterday you said you don't want to do this with him...told him it could never work between you two" he was getting worked as well now seeing how stupid both Jin and Tae were being the more their wolves got aggravated and they tried to severely defy those natural instincts to look tough "if you were so eager to be claimed and feel insecure all the time like he's 'your alpha', why do you keep lying to yourself huh!?"

"Ohmygod! Are you seriously taking his side now?! You're supposed to be my best friend Kook...not stand up for that asshole! He isn't in his right mind!"

"I'm not taking anyone's side! I just can't understand that if you really don't like him why'd even agree to get mated!? Are you sure you're in your right mind as well?!"

Jin grumbled, angry pout flourishing as he complained "well, it's not my fault that he's been acting like a fucking dick since the moment we agreed!"

It was one day till Taehyung would turn eighteen, one day till they'd actually be mated and yet they were cribbing and quarrelling like kids still!

And despite not really wanting to, Jungkook had to ask the same usual question again "what did he do now?"

With that began the long list of issues...beginning with Taehyung being bossy...rude...annoying...blah-blah-blah and ended with the fact that he had gone out without informing him but wouldn't let him go out at all...and Jungkook sighed to realise that these two were worse than children, internally judging if all those articles he had read about 'fated mates' were actually pure hokum.

Well, he got his answer the very next day.

Apparently, they had another fight but this one went a little overboard with Taehyung using his alpha voice to make Jin listen to him. It was actually the result of bad timing since the further he neared the time he'd present, Taehyung's instincts began flaring up, his alpha shaking off the restraints to claim full dominance and being his mate, Jin acquired all his attention as well as agitation first hand.

He doted on the omega so much that it made Jin feel almost cornered, the alpha in Taehyung making the omega in him slip into submission and Jin being new to all of this felt terrified of the entire situation.

And feeling angry due to being repressed and commanded, Jin had decided to do as he pleased, choosing to attend a frat party without even letting Taehyung know.

"Whaat?!" Taehyung yelled into the phone cursing at Jin's stupidity as he grabbed at the keys to rush out of the apartment.

He had found himself outside the party within fifteen minutes, groaning and cursing at himself to see booze and crack being passed around happily while loud music played and people enjoying the rush as well as the high. But even the hard stench of alcohol wasn't enough to drown out the high that he felt the moment he caught that sweet scent of ripe strawberries piercing into him and overpowering his senses.

"He's upstairs" Hoseok had informed passing by with a smirk as Taehyung found himself hurrying through the staircase, it was close to twelve, his wolf almost ready to take control.

He hadn't really planned it to happen like this, he really wished he could take Jin back to their apartment and let himself calm down and let him see how he had actually arranged for them to spend the night.

It was a special night after all...even though they had their thousand differences.

But Taehyung's head hurt and mind blinded with rage to see the scene before him, his wolf rioting against the human side to trace different scents around his mate. He barged into the room to see Jin surrounded by a group of people and in pure reflex broke upon them.

"Wait...oh shit! Taehyung wait! We weren't trying to hurt him...fuck! Man! Calm the fuck down!" Yoongi tried to help the other break out of the haze the wolf had his head wrapped in, the haze of possessiveness over his mate as he instinctively went to shield Jin from their eyes.

His eyes began glowing with speckles of red that was slowly spreading out to engulf the brown, and Yoongi realised what was happening.

"Guys...I think we should really leave" he spoke gesturing the boys around to move quickly before the wolf took over and broke upon them in attack, the clock showed it was only mere minutes till twelve "we're leaving...not enemies you know...I swear we were trying to help him".

A snarl cut through the air to make them close the door behind them to leave the two alone.

Taehyung's gaze fell on the omega, Jin was shivering on the bed.

It was evident that he was actually reacting to Taehyung, even when he wasn't around Jin had felt his alpha's need to dominate and slipped into submission making the others get worried about why was he reacting like that all of a sudden.

Taehyung leaned to check him for wounds and felt assured not tracing any, but it was becoming a difficult struggle for him to hold onto his sanity with every passing second.

"Jin..." he felt the profound command in his own voice, his chest feeling heavy and mind swirling under the wolf's control. He knew although they had chosen to spend it together but Jin's loud agitation towards for the past few days had made him realize that maybe they weren't really ready to become mates at all...but he also knew how he felt about the other...n right now how his wolf was seeking but one scent...one body...its only mate.

Before he could complete the sentence he intended to speak, Taehyung felt his sanity blur out as need for his mate being the sole thought in him. His body felt as if it was on a drive of its own as he found himself growling out, pain running through his bones as if snapping to make space enough to hold the strength and grandeur of his purebred wolf and felt his canines grow to full size as his entire body went through the rush of changes that took over the moment his wolf bared itself for the very first time.

Soft whining caught his ears and he could sense the call his omega was giving off to the wolf in him as he felt his mate go into needing...his supple body ripe and ready for his alpha's knot.

Taehyung could see Jin writhing on the bed, his clothes clinging on him with sweat and the wolf growled low in his throat as he approached where the omega lay, vulnerable and in pain.

Iridescent blue eyes struck against his blood red ones as Taehyung hovered over the omega, his insides brimming with hunger of a different kind as he smelt the slick the omega was producing...a clear sign of arousal and plea to mate.

"A-Alpha" the word was a breathy moan on Jin's lips as he felt Taehyung nosing and licking and nibbling around his clothed body, the wolf scenting the omega as well as coating himself in his mates' scent.

He popped all the buttons on Jin's shirt all at once to put his tongue against one erky nub.

"Say it again" Taehyung's voice was a deep hush before he closed his lips around the nub and sucked, making a whine erupt out of Jin whose hips jerked as he tensed feeling pleasure coursing through him in waves.

"Alpha...t-touch...me m-more..."

Taehyung unbuckled Jin's pants next, impatient in his need as he pulled those off to reveal the bare beauty his omega was.

He pinched and rolled another nub in his fingers while bringing his mouth slowly down, leaving a pattern of pecks along the way and licking at Jin's navel before he ran his tongue over the omega's member.

"Mh-hmngh-ahh" Jin's mouth fell open, and so did his knees as he revealed his hole dripping with slick to the alpha.

And of course the alpha took the opportunity, dragging his tongue over Jin's balls to lick a stripe over his drenched hole, strawberry slick filling his mouth as he did so.

Jin felt the alpha getting a little more rough and a little more impatient with every passing moment. He felt Taehyung flipping him over and felt him prodding his hole with his fingers, slipping two in without any issue at all as he began pumping them inside him.

"So fucking wet" the alpha growled at the back of his throat and Jin whined feeling him moving his fingers in a scissoring motion.

It was when Jin sensed him pull his fingers out to replace it with something bigger and harder that Jin felt his breath hitch.

"Ahngh!" 

He flinched, eyes pressing close as he clasped at the sheets with all his strength to feel Taehyung forcing into him and not stopping till he bottomed out. He could feel him still over him, breath tingling his neck as he nosed and licked at his neck.

"Ahn-mhmm..." Jin felt him give an experimental thrust, before he began moving...slow soft thrusts led to more rough ramming making Jin screw his eyes close in the pleasure pain he was currently going through. His body felt like it was floating, contentment filling his entirety as Taehyung's heavy earthy musk added with tones of mint covered him.

However, Jin felt his heart skip a beat when he felt Taehyung's member swelling inside him and he fumbled as pain shot through him anew to feel stretched too much. But it was when he felt fingers grasping at his chin to push his head to a side that he felt fear flash through him but it died out soon as he realised what the alpha sought to do.

But he saw Taehyung halt, red eyes searching his as if asking permission to put his mark on him and despite all the quarrels and fights Jin gave him a light nod to assure, no matter how much he argued, he too agreed that he would choose him as his mate...any day.

Taehyung needed no other incentive as he captured Jin's mouth in his and Jin kissed him back, moaning in his mouth when Taehyung resumed his thrusts. The kiss sloppy, wet and greedy but it was enough to make Jin reach his high, his body tensing as he felt Taehyung's member nudging at that sensitive bundle of nerves constantly.

"Breathe in" the words were soft and quick but very much needed because Jin felt all air rush out of his lungs the moment he felt Taehyung's knot forcing into him, and his canines tearing into his neck all at the same time.

Jin could hear his own whining and whimpering as his nails dug into Taehyung's back as he held onto him, needing the assurance and attention. He could finally breathe right when Taehyung retracted his canines, and licking and lapping at his mark to seal it...finally claiming him as his mate.

It was late into the night, the air calm and cool around them now after their wolves had retracted and they had gotten the chance to revel in their newly forged mate bond when Taehyung felt Jin still lying awake on his chest, his lashes fluttering against the moonlight that seeped through the thin slit in the curtains sway against the window.

"What?" He asked blinking at Jin to see him silently admiring him.

"Do you feel it too? The flash of memory?" Jin's was too calm as he inquired and Taehyung nodded, a smile lingering at one corner of his mouth "I remembered the first time I met you...and the way you grabbed my hand to tell me that I'd be your first friend-" "Because I had chosen you" Jin completed the memory, a smile curling up on his lips as well.

Taehyung chuckled, his fingers still gently threading through Jin's soft hairs "you knew already that I was yours..."

Jin giggled, eyes twinkling with glee as he moved closer to peck at Taehyung's mouth "and I, yours."
