Chapter 1 - Five Years Later

Rose POV - Age - 44
I wake up and even though I'm alone in my bed the engagement ring on my finger is enough to make me happy. I sit up to see a note on the bedside table on his beautiful handwriting.

~Made breakfast for everybody. Lunch bags for everybody as well. Went home to do the same for mine. Be back for dinner and a surprise. Love you Alexis.~

I perk up and as quickly as I can I get ready for my day and I go downstairs to find my kids already there.
-Hey kids.
Amber-Mom. This one is for you. I was setting it apart so nobody eats it. Is just a little bit of everything.
Aldo-Where's dad?
-At his place for his kids. What did he cook?
Amber-Everything except oatmeal and cereal.
I start grabbing one bite of everything in my plate. A fried egg, a boiled egg, sausage, bacon, tortilla of egg with vegetables, toast with butter, a pancake with honey, avocado cream and then I gulped down my orange juice. I sigh happy before I realize my kids are all looking at me.
-What?
Laughter and noise fills the kitchen again as they keep eating their own.

Alexis POV
I sit at breakfast with my kids and I, as usual, speak first.
-So, who of you agrees with our families living together?
They all whisper between themselves before they get to speak in their own turns.
Dylan-I agree on it. Is going to be hard and weird but is not life threatening for us. We need to have a library on the new house. I need my law bookshelf.
Annabelle-The more the merrier besides, is cheaper if we all live together. Maybe.
Isabelle-We need our medicine books too.
Mirabelle-The people at the charity events can help us with the moving.
Phoebe-Is good but I rather wait for after to have an actual opinion about how it will be. I hope Spot likes the place.
Ethan-We just need some time to adjust.
Ari-Upside, more options for me to hairstyling. Badside, more sisters to have.
Asta-We will get a bigger garden.
Akila-And no silence.
Kelly-I can finally have mommy again. I like her, she's nice to us.
Falcon-She is our mother.
The two youngest agree with their eldest triplet before I speak again.
-I'm speaking to her at dinner. That means you four are in charge of the house and that all of you are at home by dark.
Dy-Yeah we know.
-Alright then. I'm going to work. Tomorrow we'll set the rules for the new house. Within our family standards.
Dy-Standards.
-We need more. Four bathrooms are not enough for 23 persons. 10 to 12 should be enough.
With that last comment I leave the house and take a taxi to her house. My car is there.

Work finished early today so I go home and to my desk. I take out the plans for the new house. Four floors, a basement and an attic. Very good.
The first floor has the common areas. Kitchen, living, laundry, a toilet, dining room, there is a bedroom here, wich will be used as office or library as needed and then the door to the basement or the stairs for the second floor.
Down the basement is a just an empty space, dusty and a bit of old dirt.

Up to the second floor there are three master bedrooms, each with a personal bathroom and walk in closet. One for us, one for the boys Dylan, Ethan and Aldo. The other room for the girls Phoebe, Kelly and Amber.

The third floor has three master bedrooms. One for the triplets Ari, Asta and Akila. One for the twins Emma and Gemma. The other for triplets Falcon, Fox and Hawk.

The fourth floor has another three master bedrooms. One for the triplets Annabelle, Isabelle and Mirabelle. One for the twins Molly and Polly, the other for the twins Lilianna and Lucianna.

Each room has their own bathroom wich is used by two or three persons.
After that is the attic. Is where we will keep the memories like old toys or photo albums.
I admire at our work, as hard as it is for me to imagine, my twelve year old Ari thought of this house mostly by himself based on what we needed and what I asked. I was curious when he asked me to let him help. He had a bit of trouble at first but then he was overflowing with ideas. Some good, some bad, some decent and this one.
I only started this project two years ago, got engaged six months ago and soon after we move we will be married and living together.

Some months later
Summer vacation
Rose POV - Age - 44
I laugh as I hold my fiancee in my arms.
-Are you sure we got everything?
Al-Yeah, I'm driving your house, you're driving mine and the eldest will drive the cars and the last of the moving.
-Don't forget the other kids and all the cars.
Al-How many cars we have all together? About ten or so.
-Thank the heavens we have our maid at the house already with the pets ahead of time.
Al-And don't forget the drivers and staff that we got to help move and then take the trailers away.
We laugh again at our own expense before we are finally interrupted by the youngest ones.
Emma-Dad, can we go with you on the big car?
Fox-Can we, pretty please?
-Of course you can. You little boys are coming with me while dad takes the girls on his trailer.
They laugh excited before we hear the whistle and soon after when everybody comes around Alexis speaks loudly.
Al-You too hired drivers.
When they come he starts again.
Al-Listen up everybody. The ride is long and with the amount of traffic we have we got drivers. One on the front opening up way for all of us to follow and one on the rear signaling the traffic that our family has passed. That way we won't get separated and therefore lost. I am taking a trailer. Rose will take the other. Amber and Dylan will take our cars.
He hands the keys as he goes.
Al-Annabelle, Isabelle, Mirabelle, Lilianna, Lucianna, Phoebe, Molly and Polly. Underage drivers will have a staff member with you for legal reasons. Ari, Asta and Akila go with Dylan. Ethan, Aldo and Kelly with Amber. Any questions before we leave?
Everybody shares looks before they rush to their own cars. We kiss goodbye and I help the boys into the truck. I look at the others and is just Alexis with the first driver last so I hop in the truck.

Author's POV
The traffic is not stopped by the lead driver but by seeing two trucks followed by 10 cars before the next closing driver passes by. All the drivers are amazed by the amount of people moving together. They don't know how many but they know is a lot.

Alexis POV - Age - 45
I smile as the girls amuse themselves when I start driving.
Em-G look, everything looks so small.
Ge-Yeah, we're now the big and powerful twins.
They become silent on the first curve so I speak.
-Don't be afraid. Is just a slow wide curve. I'm good at this stuff. Look at mommy's truck behind us.
Ge-Oh, mommy's truck.
Em-She's behind us.
They get excited again and they even laugh when because of the curve they don't see her and so, she was so slow she was falling behind. After a little bit more they fall asleep when they exhaust their games.
All in all the trip takes two, almost three hours to arrive at our new home from the edge of town to the coast of town on the opposite side. I chose to build near the ocean as some of them love the ocean and is isolated and has plenty of space for our pets too.

Dylan POV
I sigh relieved when I see the house but it quickly turns to annoying as I see how both mom and dad maneuver the trucks into reverse so they go out easily. I have to wait.
Ari- Can I get down yet?
-Not yet kids. We all have to wait for dad and mom first.
They pout but stay in place and after a very painful waiting we're finally free to start the end of the move. Since the rooms got ready beforehand for the most part this move is the big furniture of the common areas, recently washed bedclothes to put on the beds tonight, dry food and our most personal stuff.

Boys room - 21 - 14 - 10
Dylan, Ethan and Aldo
Dy-This is our room. You don't mind sharing do you?
Al-I guess I don't.
Dylan and Ethan share a look before they start unpacking and helping Aldo with his boxes.
Dylan dresses all three beds, Ethan fixes the bathroom while Aldo folds the clothes. They are silent.
Girls room - 21 - 15 - 8
Amber, Phoebe and Kelly
Amber-Here we are. Who wants the window bed?
Ke-I want it.
Her answer is so cheerful that they let her take the bed. Amber grabs the middle bed while Phoebe grabs the bed by the door. They talk about small stuff to get to know each other and they laugh as it goes.

The day goes on and on in a hectic matter before finally, a bit late into the evening, everything is settled and set. Everbody leans tired on the living room. They lay on the couches and some others in cushions on the floor.
Ale-We will all go to sleep after eating.
Ro-Did you manage to cook anything?
Ale-No. I ordered pizza. Should be here soon.
Am-How much money did you spent?
Dy-How many did you order?
Alexis ignores their questions as he stands to the knocking door. There is a bit of noise before he comes back with several pizza boxes and some plates.

Ale-We have 2 pepperoni, 1 extra cheese, 1 meat lovers 1 Hawaiian, 1 thin crust pepperoni, 1 stuffed crust pepperoni, 1 veggie pizza, 1 italian cheese bread, 1 crazy bread and sauce, 1 stuffed crazy bread, 1 caesar wings, 1 cinnamon bites, 3 pepperoni calzone and 3 cheese calzone. For drinks we got one Pepsi, one Sprite and two waters. I will serve from the youngest to the oldest.

With that and our exhaustion dad walks by all of us serving us in the spot, then mom and then himself. Mom serves the drinks for us and we eat for the most part in a lazy conversation about everything and nothing. Mostly about how delicious the pizza is.

We are adapting to our new family and lifestyle.
