Weasley vs. Weasley...

POV: Hermione...

My left leg began to twitch and shake as my legs were crossed. The ball of my left foot couldn't control itself as it bounced up and down rapidly under the table, causing the table to even shake now...

Malfoy suddenly and swiftly placed his hand on my right thigh holding it firmly to stop. We both looked at each other simultaneously as he smiled through his words...

"Relax, Granger. I've got this... trust me..."

He began to trace his hand... taking a risking chance to slowly reach upwards and I was about to smack him, but to his luck, he had already removed it.

The doors opened again as I knew it was Ronald.

I turned around and to my horror, I saw that he was not only with just his lawyer, but with his new fiancé Lavender Brown. They kissed as she said goodbye to him to wait for Ron outside the courtroom.

I whisked around in my seat gasping and closing my eyes trying not to cry. However, I found the strength to inform my lawyer...

"I can't believe he brought her here... To our divorce! We aren't even divorced yet and he's already engaged to her! How can he be so cold?!" I sniffed in disgust as Draco voiced his opinion making me laugh...

"Oh no, that's perfect! Now I can physically use the purple prostitute as propaganda evidence in my act of proving his infidelities and turmoil of her whore homewrecking ways!" He paused looking at me through his mischievous smirk as the wheels kept spinning in his head... "Magenta's repulsive...  I do not have a clue what is wrong with that so-called husband of yours... if you were mine, I'd parade you around as my trophy and take you home and never let you leave our bedroom..."

I blushed at Malfoy's provocative words, that made me actually feel better. I softly laughed as he smiled and laughed with me. It was the first time we ever shared a laugh together. It was the first time he ever made me smile. Our eyes both gazing into each other, putting a bookmark into our memory boxes to remember this moment.

"All rise... in our honorable, Minister of Magic Shacklebolt presiding."

One of the important witches spoke, as we all rose in our seats to seeing Kingsley apparating into the court room, standing directly at the podium before us.

"You may take your seats..." Kingsley softly spoke in a brotherly way towards the wizengamot and us being the magical litigation before him.

"Our case number, five thousand two hundred and twenty-four proceedings of the termination of the Weasley marriage of Mrs. Hermione Jean Granger Weasley and Mr. Ronald Bilius Weasley..." Kingsley looked in our direction again as Draco and I rose again to properly address The Minister in respect, with Ron and his lawyer following suit.

"Weasley versus Weasley... in agreement to conduct in the removal of their marriage and to continue with the division of their assets, as well as personal matters regarding child support and visitation and or custody agreements to our satisfaction."

Malfoy spoke for me.

"Yes, Minister."

I looked at the hatred jealous glare of Ronald darting his eyes at seeing who my lawyer was. I couldn't tell what was more red, his hair or his face...

The rest of the afternoon our proceedings went moderately and decidedly smoothly. Malfoy truly was incredible and I thoroughly enjoyed watching his passions in the courtroom. He fought for me unlike any man has ever done.

That is until, Ron didn't want to give me our house, but Malfoy of course, wouldn't stand for it. And his defensive cunning barrister ways, came out even more so, at full speed ahead... Malfoy proved I needed a home for our children to raise. That they needed a stable home to have familiarity. They were born and raised there and after what Ronald had put our family through, the least he could do was let them stay in their home with their mother.

Kingsley granted my wishes, as well as the wizengamot sitting behind them as they voted in my favor.

Next was the hardest part...

"Minister, my client, Mrs. Weasley, would like to request full custody of her children with visitation from their father. Mr. Weasley, has caused their family so much grief over his indiscretions with his known mistress Lavender Brown, for more than seven years. His reckless abandonment of his family, proves his incapability of responsibility in his duties..." Malfoy was then interrupted by Ron's annoying lawyer, who looked like a crazed version of the muggle actor, Tom Cruise when he was in the movie, The Firm...

"Objection! Minister! My client, Mr. Weasley, says he was forced into another relationship outside of his marriage because of neglect from his wife. And my client suggests joint custody ." The tiny Tom stated.

"That is blatant disregard of taking responsibility for the fact that he was married! That's a cop out! If there is a problem in your marriage, you try to at least fix it with your wife! You tell her your issues... You don't go looking in other areas for your own selfish pleasures! What Mr. Weasley has done and what Lavender Brown has done is despicable! Lavender Brown is here today, to prove my point of flaunting disrespect! She's with Mr. Weasley as they are now engaged! Ron hasn't even given his wife the decency of respect to give her disclosure in private! He's parading his home wrecker even before the divorce documents have been sealed, it's disgusting and disrespectful to my client who has been nothing but a supportive wife and mother to him and his children for over thirteen years! I have known Mrs. Weasley for more than half of my life! She is a brilliant witch, who gives her all in everything she does!" Malfoy yelled in my defense as the wizengamot cheered in his speech for me, making me smile.

He then turned to face me and winked at me, that we were on the right track... I couldn't believe what Malfoy had just said about me. I was surprisingly and honorably shocked...

Kingsley was quiet for a moment as he then came to his final words.

"All in favor of Mr. Ronald Weasley, having joint custody with Mrs. Hermione Granger Weasley?"

I looked in utter panic at the witches and wizards before me, about to change my life forever...

Not one hand raised.

"The court agrees Mrs. Weasley to full custody of Layla and Hugo Weasley. With visitation every other weekend with Mr. Weasley. Or as sees fit with the schedule of her liking... Does that satisfy your needs Mrs. Weasley?" Kingsley addressed me. I spoke happily, "yes." I heard Ron squirming in his chair in aggravation. Too bad...

"Now, is time for our legal documents to be signed, to end the marriage of Weasley versus Weasley and magically seal our agreement proceedings."

Kingsley waved his wand as our parchment of divorce laid down on my table before of me. I signed my married name for the last time returning to my original glory. Malfoy signed his signature next to mine, as my wizarding barrister witness.

I watched a heated Ronald signing our divorce documents and his lawyer, waving the paper back to Kingsley.

"This adjourns our trial of Weasley versus Weasley. Ms. Granger has been granted her maiden name and her wishes. Thank you and good evening." Kingsley hit the gavel and we were finally finished. Feeling an instant relief, I hadn't felt in honestly over fifteen years... counting the entire time Ron and I had been together of dating, marriage, and having children.

Ron angrily stood out of his chair glaring at me and Malfoy in fury as he left.

I wanted to hug Malfoy for everything he did for me. But I went against it. We stood gathering our belongings to leave into a new chapter in our lives.

"Well Granger, you're a free witch now. Congratulations." Malfoy picked up his papers and smirked at me.

"Draco, I can not thank you enough for what you did for me today." I expressed my gratitude from my heart feeling my eyes stinging.

"It was my pleasure, Hermione..." Draco suddenly grew a delicious grin and spoke again...

"Hey! Look at us!" He announced pausing leaning forward.

"We're on a first name basis..." Draco seductively lingered, raising his right eyebrow coming flirtatiously closer to me and smiling.

I laughed replying, "after twenty years!"

He arrogantly chuckled at my response, "We should celebrate! Come on, let's go have a drink at the Leaky Cauldron." Draco asked as my heart honestly fluttered.

"Oh, Draco. I'd love too... But I have to get home to Layla and Hugo. They're waiting for me. I made a special dinner for us..." I drifted seeing Draco looking honestly disappointed.

Then I couldn't believe the next words out of my mouth.

"How would you like to join us for dinner? That can be our celebration and it's the least I can do for what you did for me today."

He smiled putting his hands in his fancy pockets.

"I'd be honored to have a meal cooked by the Hermione Granger. And to meet her children..." He stopped for a second looking as if he were reminded of something... "Hermione, would you mind if I brought a guest with me? I remembered..."

My heart dropped into my stomach. But why Hermione? Why would you care if he brought his significant other. Of course he's not single...

Draco grinned looking at his feet and laughing bringing his delectable face back to mine as the light shone onto his handsome features. Making me realize I had held my breath for a moment, while watching him.

"I'm not married anymore, Hermione... And I am not seeing anyone. My guest would be my son, Scorpius. He's coming home from visiting my parents tonight." Draco informed me obviously reading my thoughts. My face heated in utter embarrassment...

"Well that's more than fine Draco. Of course you and your son are more than welcome to join us. How about six o clock?" I asked him as he nodded with his reply, "that's perfect, we'll see you then."

Draco lifted his hand to shake mine. I brought my hand to touch his again gettting lost in his captivating handsome trans... he chuckled asking me "Where do you live Hermione?"

"OH! Sorry! I pulled my hand away from his quickly, explaining our quaint home in London. And the instructions to apparate to its exact location.

"We look forward to it Hermione." Draco then leaned forward and gave me a sweet sensual kiss on my cheek saying good bye.

I smiled blushing profusely and grabbed my purse and wand walking towards the exit doors...

I continued walking backwards waving goodbye to him, And like a complete tosser, I almost tripped over my feet.

He apparated to my side grabbing hold of my waist... just in time to keep me from falling on my arse.

Draco held me in his arms, us as one... leaning inches away from each other's lips...

"You better watch yourself there, Hermione." Draco sinisterly teased me. He began to look deeply into my eyes with his oceanic passionate views, lowering himself temptingly closer... about to take another chance to kiss me.

"I'll see you in a few hours, Draco!"

I panicked... pulling away from his tempting grips and ran out of the door...
