Dear Lily,

You felt weak. When you saw that boy getting bullied, you realized that you weren't able to help. And the following reasons why:

1. You needed to help yourself.

2. You were hesitant to even reach out, because you were afraid that you might end up hurting both of you alike.

3. You only talked to that boy once, but did that matter when he was struggling to live?

4. Your ex-friends were taking his videos, and you weren't quite sure if you would be able to step in and be part of the live show.

5. Jake was part of the gang that bullied him. Jake, Lily. Out of everyone, it was Jake, and his presence made you more reluctant. 

Standing amidst the crowd, watching blood drip down his nose, you simply stared at the gruesome sight, afraid and weak, just because someone you once loved was looking at you with every fist he slammed against the boy's nose bridge.

You weren't any different from him.
