Lafayette's POV (changing it up if ya know what I mean 😏)

"Ohh! This is so exciting! We get have dinner with royalty!" John exclaimed, jumping up and down.

"Calm down John, remember that this 'royalty' is trying to steal Y/N away from us." Alex said placing his hand on John's shoulder.

"W-what do you mean?" John asked with a blush on his face.

"You read the letter out loud and you didn't notice anything that might indicate that the king had feelings for Y/N?" Hercules said, looking at John very disappointingly.

"No?" John answered, very confused.

"IL A MIS UNE FICHUE VIRGULE APRÈS CHÉRIE!" I shouted, all three boys staring at me. (not sure if this is right... idk French) ((look up da translation))

"What's got you so worked up Laf?" Alex asked, smirking at me.

"I think he's got a case of j-e-a-l-o-u-s-y. Jealousy!" Herc announced as John laughed.

"I'm not jealous! He doesn't deserve Y/N. There are many other men that are better for her." I said defending myself.

"Yeah.... like you." John giggled as I gave him a death stare.

"So what? What if I like Y/N, huh? Any of you gunna stop me?" I said, crossing my arms.

"I would, but I've got someone else on my eye." Alex snickered as I laughed. It was obvious about who he wanted.

"John, your too gay to be with her. What about you Herc?"

"I-I'm not gay! I-I..." John argued, red growing on his freckled face.

"Whatever you say John. Look Laf, Y/N and I aren't ever going to end up together. She and I don't, click, I guess. We're just friends and we know it." Herc butted in.

"So you're all leaving me to face the king alone?"

"Well, he does think that you and Y/N are courting. Plus, he-"

"Guys! I think this is the one!" Y/N yelled from her room. She ran out in an elegant F/C dress, and I hoped I wasn't blushing. She was beautiful.

"How do I look?" She asked, her soft smile brightly glowing on her face. Herc, Alex, and John looked at me with a smirk. They knew what I was thinking.

"You look beautiful, mon amo-i! Mon ami..." I replied as she grinned.

"Thanks Lafayette! Now hurry up! We don't want to be late now, do we?" She asked, running off. That girl is always in such a rush, I wonder how she ever has time to actually do anything.

The rest of us got ready and before I knew it we were already in our way. I pulled Y/N aside before we left. There was something I needed to talk to her about.

"Hey Y/N?" I asked, as her sparkling E/
C eyes lit up.

"Yes Lafayette?" She asked with a smile.

"We really need those plans soon. I'd at rather.... leave sooner than later. Ok?" I asked, trying to hold in my french.

"Oui Lafayette, I will." She said, making me smile. It's quite hard to pick up French.

We made our way towards the heavily guarded castle, to go through the large doors once again. We were headed towards a separate area of the castle. The dinning room. (Idk I wanted to make it intimidating, but there's nothing scary about a dinning room....)

Y/N led us all, somehow seeming to know where she was going, through many corridors and large doors, until we finally reached our destination. Opening the door, the king was the only one in the room. He had a wide grin on his pale, pathetic face.

"Y/N! I see you've made it." He said, not even acknowledging the rest of us.

"Hello again, your majesty. May I please excuse myself for a moment? I forgot to do something at home, and I'll need a bit of privacy to do so." She replied, probably trying to find a way to leave and take those plans.

"Of course, why don't your friends and I have a little chat until you return?" He suggested as she left. I wished her good luck and turned to see a very angry looking king.

"Which one of you is currently the center of her affection?" He asked, glaring at us all.

"What?" John asked, clearly confused.

"Which one of you is currently courting her?" He re-asked as I stepped forward.

"Me." I answered, giving him a death stare.

"I have something to ask of you, my good sir..." He began as I turned towards the others. What would he want to ask me?
