Sindria

{edited!!!!}

"WOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

Lamia jumps off the ship like a crazy child and begins to run about in excitement.

"Calm down Lamia. You might blast my ears and make me deaf," I scold her but I end up laughing a bit as I pick up our bags that I weigh over my shoulders as I walk down to the docks.

The liveliness of Sindria was...

a bit extreme.

Everyone was so nice! So enthusiastic! So outgoing! They had so much charisma! It kind of hurts me a bit. I guess people show what kind of ruler they have and what their lives are like.

"We should head to the palace soon so we could get you two settled in," Ja' far said with his arms in his sleeves.

"Thanks for everything. I really do appreciate your hospitality," I smile at Ja' far who had a small pink tint form on his cheeks which was adorable making me giggle before I bow to him and I walk over to Lamia grabbing her shoulder.

"We need to talk."

I pull her aside hiding behind a pile of large wooden boxes.

"So what did you need to tell me?" She pouts a bit from me taking her away from her fun.

"Well..." I bit my lip before I lean closer into her ear whispering everything.

"YOU WANT TO LEAVE?!"

I quickly cover her mouth in a panic shushing her.

"SH! Keep your voice down!" I shout-whisper as she muffles and squirms in my grip. She nods to me as I pull my hand away from her mouth.

She looks up at me with a bit of confusion and sadness on her face.

"Why leave?"

"Because there's somewhere I need to go before I can settle down," I state bluntly before sighing as I rub my temple in distress.

"But what about Sinbad?" She asks looking up into my eyes with hope glittering in her bright green orbs.

"We don't speak of that man."

She pouts as she places her hands on her hips.

"Oh no! I see how Sinbad looked you! You know there is something there!"

"Lamia..." Her eyes widened in surprise as my voice become cold.

"You don't actually believe that love exists, do you? No man can't ever be satisfied if you don't fulfill his needs. Women are objects."

Tears grew in the corner of her emerald green eyes as she sniffles a bit. Before she could say a word I walk away from her without looking back as I approach Ja' far who questions me but I told him off and he respectfully said no more. Soon enough we make our way towards the palace.

"You are to be King Sinbad's personal mistress." Ja'far hands me a gold ring with the insignia of the Seven Seas to show recognition of my place.

"What?! I never agreed to this!"

"Neither did I but King's word is absolute," Ja' far sighs in slight distress.

I sigh taking the ring but never put it on. Ja' far leads me down a long lavish hall with lit torches along the way with flowers of all shades and colors.

"Your room will be next door to King Sinbad's room so you can attend to the king whenever he needs you."

I stay silent.

"Lamia has her own citizenship and freedom but has decided to become a dancer for when we have any of our festivals and celebrations," Ja'far says trying to perk up the mood and he succeeded. I smile after hearing the news.

"That's good. She would never give up her passion for dancing," I laugh softly to myself.

"This will be your room," Ja'far stops in front of a pair of large wooden doors with beautiful designs of leaves and tribal patterns around the rim of the door.

"If you ever need anything, you can come to me," Ja'far smiles to me as I sent him a simple nod.

"Alright, then I shall leave you for now. Lamia will be here later to come to get you for tonight's festivities."

And with that Ja'far gave me a simple bow smiling and walks off down the hall. I take a deep breathe as I grasp onto the doorknob opening it and walk into the room that was now mine and was very luxurious. Gold and silver cover this room with deep red curtains and royal blue carpet and see through sheets hanging around here and there.

"Gods..." I put my stuff down and began to renovate the room a bit moving things here and there and took down some extra furniture around the room.

[Timeskip]

After about a few hours I had finally finished cleaning and was laying down on my bed reading until I had gotten a subtle knock on the door.

"(y/n)! It's me, Lamia! Are you ready?!" I sigh and put down the small brown book I was once reading and walk over to open the door to see Lamia in an adorable red dress with a simple white dress under and red sandals that were outlined with gold.

"You look really pretty Lamia."

She laughs and spun around showing off her dress. Her body was too overbust but curvy enough to fit into the dress. I did always envy her energy and how oblivious she was to life. It was also a red dress. I snicker a bit but I cover my mouth to hide it.

She totally has the hots for that Fanalis.

"Thanks!~ Hey! How come you aren't dressed yet?"

I  gulp as I felt a little shiver down my spine as I smile wryly slowly close the door on her.

"Haha, thanks for dropping by..."

BAM!

Lamia kicks the door open.

"OH NO YOU DON'T! WOMAN YOU ARE GOING TO THE PARTY AND YOU ARE GETTING DRESSED!"

She chases me around the room and forces me to dress me into a gown and somehow magically brushes and tie up my (h/l)(h/c) hair into a ponytail that lays along my shoulder.

"There! Now we're ready."

I felt really shy and embarrassed at the amount of skin that my chest was being exposed. Lamia hugs me from behind holding me tight.

"I know you will look beautiful in his eyes."

"Excuse me?" I turn back at her in confusion as she snickers and looks back at our reflection in the mirror nuzzling into my cheek. "I know you want to try escaping tonight but... why don't you stay? Stay with me and our new family. Just for a little bit longer."

I felt my heart break slightly from this bitter exterior as I took a moment to think about what she said. I pull away from her and led her to the door making our ways down the halls.

"Let's go join everyone else alright?"

She was a bit taken back but the loud music and sounds of cheers soon fill our ears. Her attitude became slightly brighter as she felt victorious and took my hand and ran down the halls dragging me along with her. I let out a laugh as we finally made our way to join everyone else.

[Later that evening]

"May we have a toast to our two new family members!" Sinbad lifts his cup of wine in the air with a wide smile across his face as he gave a toast.

The large crowd cheered in excitement making me open my eyes in relief and joy.

"Such a wonderful family..."

"Yep," I yelp a bit as I look over my shoulder to see Sinbad behind smiling at me holding up two gold cups in his hand.

"I don't drink."

He laughs leaning the cup closer to my hands.

"Then I'm glad I played safe and have water in this one."

I sigh taking the cup and sent him a simple smile.

"Thank you, I really mean it, Sinbad. I don't know you too well but you have done a lot for me and Lamia just by helping us leave that hell of a place," I stare intently into his golden eyes that always made my heart race.

"I am only doing what any normal person would have done," Sinbad lets out a hearty chuckle.

I felt a small wall break because I had let out a real laugh. "Then I suppose we both have different interpretations of normal."

I took a sip from my cup ignoring his piercing gaze that stared daggers into me.

"Sindria, I pledge to make this place my home," I smile softly. I take a big swig finishing my cup and hand Sinbad my empty cup. As he extends his hand out to take my cup I brought his hand to my lips kissing his knuckles which caught him by surprise.

"Good night my King Sinbad~"

And with that, I turn in for the rest of the night.
