Finally

{{A/N: This is a very long chapter and it may be a bit stupid and boring but enjoy it anyways! TWT}}

I stood there in utter shock unable to speak. My heart was was racing and pounding so faster and so loud a ringing sensation sent shivers down my spine.

"What is happening?"

{{Flashback}}

I take a large gulp from my pouch of water as I get closer towards what I hope is a dungeon. I continue to fly in the sky  with the deadly sun beating down on me. I had to use my scarf to cover my face to provide me shade despite the struggles of breathing but it's better to have shade as of in this moment.

It has only been two days since I last saw Diae and them. I hope they will forgive me and one day will be happy to see me. Especially Diae, she really will turn out to be a lovely lady. Not too long after I was able to see a tall building that appeared to look like a tall pillar. My (e/c) eyes widen in surprise as a wave of relief rushes over me as I quickly fly faster towards the pillar.

"Finally! After many long weeks possibly few months! I finally made it! I can finally conquer a dungeon!" I cry out in joy as I draw closer and closer to the Dungeon.

As soon as I arrive in front of the Dungeon I land onto my feet feeling the warm hot yet soft sand against my feet. I fix the scarf and wrap it around my neck gently fix my (h/c) hair. I take in a deep breathe before I place my hand on the dungeon.

"This is it. I either make it out alive or I don't. No turning back. I can't leave if I don't complete the dungeon."

I close my eyes taking in all of the happy memories I had made in Sindria. Even memories of Sinbad and I together were melted into my head. I hug myself knowing I was so afraid of never seeing them again. I let out a small tear trickle down my cheek as I quickly shove the doors open and make me way into the dungeon. Soon enough I was sucked in and the doors slammed shut behind me and quickly faded into the wall.

As soon as I look around taking in my surroundings the insides were nothing like what it looks like outside.

"Woah..."

The walls were made out of white stone with waterfalls levitating along the walls. The floor made out of a cool yellow stone with red stones into shapes of diamonds and spades. I'm finally here.

I'm finally going to take on a Dungeon!

"I'm here... I can finally do this!" I cry out in joy as I look around in awe with tears of relief streaming down my cheek.

"I'm finally going to take on a Dungeon like I promised my mom. Mom... I'm finally here. I promise to complete this dungeon," I hug myself tightly wiping the tears away.

I quickly make sure to fix my bag and then I notice a large pair of doors made out of the same white stone but had a strange shapes that looked like music notes adorn along the door. I place my hand on the door and as soon as I did the door began to slowly open with a loud rumbling sound shaking the room a little. Once the door opened up it opened up large enough for me to squeeze through.

I continue to walk forward onto a bridge but then I all of a sudden the bridge began to shake and broke down I urgently began to run forward.

"DON'T DIE! DON'T DIE! THIS IS A GOD DAMN FUCKING AMAZING SURPRISE!" I shout loudly as I rush forward and at the last minute I jump across to grab onto the left over broken bit of the bridge.

I pant a little bit as I lift myself up and continue onward throughout the dungeon. I haven't come across anything too difficult or scary. I solved a few puzzles and was able to make it through what I think were some death traps.

Now I was just walking down a long hallway with different types of instruments some I don't even recognize.

After a while, I walk forward into a room with multiple doors.

"What is this?" I was standing there in disbelief.

Is this a joke?

I was growing so impatient.

"Hey you!" I jump in surprise in the sound of someone's voice. I turn around to find a girl with long blonde hair in a strange dress in a shade of yellow and a young man with white hair besides her.

"May I ask how you go into this Dungeon?" The girl asks with a gentle smile on her face.

"I could ask you the same thing," I retort back at her as I stand up straight grabbing onto my bag.

"Hey don't talk to her like that. You don't even know who we are," The guy spoke up with his hand in front of the girl.

"Once again. Same here. You don't know me," I furrow my eyebrows as I turn away from them trying to concentrate on which door to go through.

"Why you!"

"Enough Ian! Let her be," The girl grabs onto the guys hand holding him back from pulling out the sword behind his back.

"But Julia," Ian calls out to her but she just shakes her head.

"Can both of you shut up?" I scold them in irritation trying to listen to the doors.

I walk to each door and listen closely to each one.

The first one was utterly silent

The second one was a little strange it sounded like a bunch of leaves.

The third one was filled with the sounds of lively music.

The last one had smooth music but for some reason it gave off a hint of relaxation.

It's too relaxing.

"What are you doing?"  Ian asks making me just sigh as I face them both.

"I'm (y/n), just a traveler and dancer. I just entered the dungeon for personal reasons. What are you two doing here?"

"We are here to complete the dungeon," Julia states as she smiles to Ian.

"We are here to complete it so that Julia can come back home with powers to redeem to her father," Ian responds as he nods in compliance.

"That's a lame ass excuse," I said without hesitance as I walk towards the first door.

"What?"

"You heard me," I state opening the first door which revealed an empty dark space.

"What do you mean?!" Ian grabs onto the hilt of his sword but I stick my hand out to him to stop him.

"Shut up," I glare at him and I take in a deep breath before singing a soft lullaby.

The room quickly lit up into a bright shade of blue and purple with lamps all adorn around the room and a magic circle was in the center of the large room. I turn to face the two who stood there in utter surprise.

"It was simple to know that you have to make sound in this room. Are you coming along or staying behind?" I ask them as I smile winking to them before entering the room.

As soon as the other two enter the room I close the door behind me as I walk in behind them. I walk towards the center of the room with the other two and soon enough a bright light consumes us.

"What the ?!" I shout in response covering my eyes from the brightness of the light.

The light slowly fades away and now we were standing in the middle of a large room. The floor was a large bright red carpet and tarps and curtains where strewn around the room.

"Why well well well?! Don't we have some interesting performers to entertain me today!~" A high pitched voice echoes throughout the room.

I quickly pull out of my bag a dagger that I had in hand ready to attack whoever it was until it was soon taken out of my hands and Ian's sword was also taken as well.

"Now play nice. Playing with such dangerous things isn't very nice!~" The voice was closer.

I click my tongue despite my heart racing a little.

"Don't have such a scary face~ I'm not that scary~"

Soon enough a large red curtain in front of us lifts up and to reveal a lovely giant blue woman with a giant window behind her. Lovely golden and white instruments and vases around her body.

(A/N: Please just imagine here with blue skin! TWT)

"What brings you here to my amazing dungeon? I haven't seen anyone enter it in years," The giant woman states with a amused smile across her lips.

"I am guess you're the djinn of this dungeon," I state still not letting my guard down.

"My my so you do know but do you really? What you seek in sight isn't all the same in the sight of those who can't see with those beyond," The djinn responds with a more wider smile.

"I see you are a djinn of poetry and riddles," Julia states with the same sweet smile across her cheeks.

"Oh sweet child you flatter me but no such flattery will hand you the moon in which gifts the night," The djinn states back to Julia who's brown eyes widen in awe.

"So I assume you all are here to complete my dungeon?"

"Yes," Julia and I said in unison.

"Before I start my trial may I ask for your reason? Be as honest as possible for judgement shall speak for itself," The djinn states as she strums the strings of her instrument.

"I am here to bring honor to myself. To prove to my father that I do have strength and that I am worthy of being a knight instead of a lady. A princess meant to be protected. I want to prove to my father that I can be my own person without his approval and the need for knowledge and looks," Julia states with pure intent of wanting to complete this dungeon.

The djinn kept her smile plastered on her face which it was hard to read her true thoughts. She then turns her soft golden eyes towards me.

"You want my reason. I'm here because of a fairytale my mother used to tell me as a kid. I want to complete this dungeon. I want your power. I don't need it but I want it. I want to be able to change the world. Even if it's just a little. It's better than nothing..." I state with a strong passion as I stare back up at the large blue woman.

"Give me your power!" I command her.

She smirks at my response.

"You two seem to be both intelligent woman so why don't I put it to the test. I will give you three riddles if you answer all three correctly then you will have my powers and complete my dungeon but if you don't then you will stay here with me and listen to my music for life and suffer," The djinn smirks despite how sickly sweet her voice was.

I didn't hesitate to nod but Julia looks back at Ian who just stares back at her. She was a little nervous but she tried her best to hold it back and nods.

"I accept," She says softly.

"Great!~ Now let's begin with something easy~" The djinn claps her hands together and chuckles.

"First riddle: You measure my life in hours and I serve you by expiring. I'm quick when I'm thin and slow when I'm fat. The wind is my enemy."

There was a moment of silence as me and Julia both think of what the answer might be. Suddenly it clicks.

"A candle," we both state in unison.

"Easy right?~ Next one, What is it that given one, you'll have either two or none?" The djinn asks as she levitates around us with a wicked gleam in her eyes.

You can be given one but you can have two or none? Is this something of physical form or is this something given to you in a mental form?

Emotions?

"Grace?" Julia answers.

"Wrong~ What about you? What do you think it is?"  The djinn was ready to just take us and make us suffer.

"A choice," I answer. If something isn't an emotion then it was to have been an action of emotion of some sorts.

"Correct!~ Now the very last one. This one is very very hard. I am going to give you 10 seconds so listen very closely~," The djinn chuckles as she licks her lips.

"At the sound of me, men may dream or stamp their feet. At the sound of me, women may laugh or sometimes weep.Who am I?"

This one is easy! I know this one!

"Music!" I shout quickly with a wide smile across my face.

"Music can express so much emotion. Joy or sadness. The answer has to be music," I state without a second thought.

"Correct!~" The djinn smiles as music play in joy and triumph.

"You both did well however you little lady," The djinn approaches you and extends her large blue hand out to you.

"What?"

"You are worthy of my power. I am Maram the djinn of Music the lost forgotten 90th djinn. You are now my master. You are worthy of my powers. Come," Maram says with a warm smile.

I felt tears stream down my cheek. This was such an easy dungeon but that doesn't stop me from feeling joy.

I have gone through so much and now I have the power of a king.

I nod as I walk towards her hand and I extend my hand out to her placing it on top of her large blue finger.

"Why don't you choose a weapon or object of choice as a vessel," She points around the room to reveal treasures of all shapes and sizes and value.

My eyes fall onto something that catch my eye.

I walk towards a gold box. I open it up to reveal simple golden accessories with simple tiny gold coin charms. I search around for something I knew I would never take off.

"This will be your vessel!" Suddenly I was soon surrounded by light forms in the shape of butterflies.

"The ruhk seem to like your choice master. You now have my power!" Maram shouts in delight as she is soon sucked into one of the coins on the anklet. There on one of the coins was the magic circle.

"I can't believe it," I said to myself as I smile down at the anklet and I quickly clip it around my ankle and shake it hearing the small chimes of  the coins.

"Congratulations on completing the Dungeon (y/n)," Julia says as she approaches me. I look over to her to see a smile on her face but I can tell she had a hint of dismay on it. Ian's face may have been blank but I can tell he really wanted Julia to complete this dungeon. I take a deep breath and I walk up to Julia taking her hands into my own.

"You don't need this. You don't need magic. You don't need a djinn to prove your worth Julia," I began to speak to her staring intently into her soft brown eyes.

"What are you saying?"

"I'm saying you are worth much more than you think. You don't need anyone's approval but your own. You are a very wise lady. I may be one to speak but someone will treasure you deeply and show you how much you truly are worth," I hug her tightly comforting her. This reminds me so much of when Sinbad would comfort me. Bring up my self confidence.

Sinbad...

"I..." Julia's voice broke a little as she hugs me back and began to cry into my shoulder.

"You are worth so much more Julia. Your father is an asshole for not  being proud of a smart and brave daughter like you," I reassure her as she continued to cry on my shoulder.

Not too long after we were quickly teleported out of the Dungeon and it quickly began to disappear. Julia and Ian chatted with me a little while longer before heading back to where they were from. As for me...

"It's safe to assume you don't know how to use your powers yes?" I heard Maram's voice in my head.

"Yeah sadly," I state honestly as I laugh nervously.

"You really are hopeless. I should have chosen the lovely blonde girl~" Maram coed making me pout in frustration.

"What the hell?! Woman you chose me!"

"I'm regretting my life choices!"

"Well what now?! I can't go back without knowing how to use my powers!" I pout contemplating what to do.

"Why don't you do some training? How about you head to the Reim empire?"

"Reim? Why Reim?"

"Well they have the Coliseum and also they have the warrior training there as well," Maram informs me.

"But I'm not a good swords man. I am a better spears man than swords man," I sulk.

"I see then shall we try the Kou Empire?"

"Oh fuck no," I said deadpan.

"What?! But they have strong warrior training there as well!"

"Are you crazy woman?! Do you know what they've done to this god damn country?!"

"Yes but you need to learn how to use your new powers! I didn't give such a petite woman my powers to use for nothing!" Maram scolds me.

"I..."

I have no choice do I...

As much as it might be safer in Reim I want to be able to reach my full potential.

And soon.

I adjust my bag around my shoulders and then quickly flew up into the air and towards the direction I knew would change my life choices.

I promise once I am done training in the Kou Empire I promise to come back to you...

Sinbad.
