Chapter 9 - Just a quick nap

Your POV:

Without hesitation, Tamaki ran up to me and grabbed my shoulders.

"(Y/N)! You're safe! Where did you go? This shady twin didn't do anything to my sweet daughter did he?" I laughed at his antics.

"Tamaki, I'm fine, don't worry about me." I smiled, ruffling his hair. Tamaki then stood up straight, towering above me once more.

"Anyway, everyone's been waiting for you two. Lunch just isn't the same without you guys." He mumbled the last bit. Still smiling, we followed him back to the dining hall, and sat down at the table. I took the seat at the end next to Kaoru, whom Hikaru sat opposite. Everybody glanced up as we sat down. Smiling at them, I waved a greeting.

"Where have you guys been?" Kyoya asked, pushing his glasses up as he raised his head. I was about to answer before Hikaru jumped in.

"Nowhere really, just took a stroll around. (Y/N) hadn't seen the whole place yet so I thought I'd show her round." With a charming smile on his face, he took a chip off of his twins plate and plopped it in his mouth. I don't know why he was hiding the fact that we spent lunch together, we're just friends. It's not like we ran off for some romantic date halfway through the day.

"Aw (Y/N)-chan if you needed showing round me, Usa-chan and Takashi could have shown you." Honey grumbled, folding his arms.

Glancing over at him fondly, I replied, "I'm sorry. Maybe you can show me round another time, yeah?" He grinned and nodded, before continuing his lunch.

Lunch passed, and after the next lesson, it was free period. And free period means host club. Yawning, I left my last class, in which none of the host club were in, and trudged towards the music room. Remembering I only got around six hours or less of sleep last night, I sighed. 'I can't wait until I get home and can sleep.' Dreaming of my bed, I pulled the door handle down and entered the host room.

Nobody had arrived yet, so I scurried into the back room and changed. When I came back into the room, most of the others were here and setting up. Twisting a lock of my hair subconsciously, I walked up to Kyoya.

"Need any help?" I offered. He nodded, and passed me a tray with a tea set on.

"Go and make some tea for the guests before they arrive. And, please try not to spill it on yourself this time." Blushing from embarrassment, I nodded, and hurried off to prepare the refreshments. Even if the work is tedious and bothersome, I enjoy hanging out with the host club, and I hope I can become better friends with them all.

After making the tea and filling a small jug with milk, as we were using English tea today for some reason, I walked over to the hosts. They were all lining up to welcome the guests. Tamaki walked up to the large doors, and threw them open, revealing a large huddle of excited girls. In unison, we recited our regular 'welcome to the host club' and ushered the guests to their tables. This whole procedure was becoming more and more natural every day, and I kinda enjoyed it.

Walking over to Kyoya's table first as he was entertaining today, I offered him and his guests tea, of course with him embarrassing me in front of them. Dusted pink, I walked off to the other host's tables in turn. After the last table I visited, which happened to be Honey and Mori's, I let out another huge yawn. I clasped a hand over my mouth and apologised instantly. Honey simply laughed at me.

"(Y/N)-chan, are you tired? You can borrow usa-chan for a nap if you like?" Sweetly, he offered, holding the pink rabbit up to me.

Smiling I told him it was okay, and that I should probably finish working first. He nodded, and continued talking to the girls.

After my host club duties, I place my tray down and went back to the backroom. Sitting down on the couch heavily, I sighed, relieved that the day was over. I felt the tiredest I had all day, and I was beginning to feel extremely groggy. Laying my head down on the arm of the sofa and lifting my legs up so that I was comfortable, I rested my eyes.

'Just five minutes.' I whispered tiredly.

"(Y/N)?" My eyes fluttered open to see Mori standing there. I sat up quickly.

"I was just resting my eyes, I promise!" Flustered, I tugged at the end of my dress and pulled it down as it had ridden up slightly. Mori looked away slightly. I was so embarrassed.

Mori pulled out his phone and showed me the time. It was about an hour after I fell asleep. He then went back into the main room. I heard a muffled conversation, which I could just make out as 'did you find her' 'yeah' before footsteps came towards the door.

Tamaki burst in, and ran towards me. Without giving me time to brace myself, he dived towards me and enveloped me in a death-grip.

"Daughter I thought I lost you!" He cried. "We thought you left but your mom came and asked us if we had seen you. Then we panicked, and looked all over for you. I guess none of us thought to check here until now. But I'm glad you're safe."

"Is my mom still here?" I asked Tamaki, as he was the only one left here. Mori had left to collect Honey or something.

"Uh... I don't really know.." He laughed nervously as he scratched the back of his head. "But I think most of the host club members have left now."

"How come you haven't left?" I asked.

"Uh... Well, my dad's never really home because he's busy so there's not much point is there? I'd rather spend time with you guys, so I stayed until I found you." I smiled and nodded. Tamaki's brilliant blue-ish violet eyes were trained on his hands, and his blonde hair flopped messily over his eye. He was such and interesting and intriguing person; I wanted learn more about him. I hoped I could.

Remembering that I was still in my maid outfit, I stood up, and picked up my bag which had my school dress in. Tamaki looked up at me as I rose to my feet.

"I'm just gonna change." He nodded, and I went into the changing room. Halfway through changing, Tamaki spoke.

"Uh... (Y/N)..."

"Yeah." I replied, beginning to pull my dress over my head.

"Do you like working at the host club?" Zipping up my dress, I pulled the curtain the side and walked out, confusion on my face.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"You know, do you like being around all of us so much. I know it can get a little crazy with all of us... We can all be a little, what was that word Haruhi used again? Oh yeah, obnoxious. And sometimes I'll have my eye on you while talking to guests, and you'll look really tired out. You don't have to do this if you don't want-"

"Tamaki." I halted him sitting down next to him again, "I love being around you guys. You may be loud, but I like it, it's you. You're all so unique and interesting, and I really wanna learn more and get closer to you guys. You lot are my closest friends in this school right now and I wouldn't trade the world for it. So the real question is more like, do you guys like having me around? I hope I'm not an inconvenience with my lack of experience. I know I mess up sometimes..."

Tamaki looked at me with what seemed like disbelief.

"Of course we love having you around. We've all grown to love you, and never doubt that." I nodded and smiled.

"Thank you." I replied, before receiving a message from my mom. Tamaki walked me to my car, and said goodbye, before I left.
