Chapter 10 - It Can't Be True
^*^ Tamaki POV ^*^
Stepping on the slightly wet cobblestone, I made my way home. It was raining lightly, but for some reason, I didn't want a lift home tonight; my home wasn't too far from school anyway. Hands in the pockets of my blazer I walked on, with one small thought in the corner of my mind.
(Y/N). This past time that I had known her, she had never failed to amaze me. From her pure heart which was so willing to forgive to her determinedness to help others. When she would talk to the others, and she would smile so dazzlingly. Something tingled within me which I couldn't lay my finger on, but it was nice whatever it was.
Opening the doors to my oversized house, I walked towards the staircase, however a maid halted me halfway.
"Master Tamaki! Where have you been all this time? And you're soaking wet! Please allow me to-"
Raising my hand, I quieted her, before smiling kindly. "It's fine. Please, don't worry yourself." Leaving her behind, I slid off my blazer and carried it. I climbed the stairs and entered my room. Sitting on my bed, I rested my head in my palms.
Why can't I stop thinking about her? She's constantly there in the back of my mind. Groaning I flopped face down onto my bed. There was knock at the door, and a maid shuffled inside. It was my favorite maid, Yuki. She was a fairly old woman who had been working here since before I was born.
"Master Tamaki, I have your evening tea here." She placed a small tray on the table next to my bed, and looked up into my eyes. The edges of her eyes crinkled in concern. "Oh dear, what's got you looking down son?" She came and sat down on my bed next to me.
"Have you ever had a certain somebody stuck in your head and you don't know why?" I asked her, sitting up and sighing. She thought for a minute before replying, her dark gray hair swinging backwards, her grey-ish eyes shining behind her glasses.
"Oh, many times I suppose. Why do you ask?"
"There's this... person who I met recently, and I just can't seem to stop thinking about her- I mean them."
"Oh Master Tamaki, do you perhaps have... A crush?" She leaned sideways to me, mocking me. I turned red and shook my head vigorously.
"I do not!" I folded my arms, but the heat on my cheeks continued to rise.
"So who's the lucky girl?" She teased me further, "Is she pretty? What is it about her?"
"N-Nothing! I told you, I don't have a crush." I shouted, but she knew I wasn't particularly angry. I never am around her. She laughed and shook her head.
"I'm not too sure, but I'll tell you; there's nothing wrong with having feelings for another at your age. I wish I was still young, make the most of it. I'll leave you to find out what it is by yourself." She stood up and roughly patted my head, before shuffling out of my room and closing the door behind her. I could hear her humming grow distant down the halls.
Holding my cup of tea, I looked down into the dark liquid. I remember when (Y/N) served me this kind of tea at the host club the other day. Shaking my head, I cleared her from my thoughts. Did I, Tamaki Suoh, the Host Club King really have a crush? No, I couldn't, it was impossible. Slamming my teacup down in denial, I buried my face into my pillow. But hiding my face couldn't hide the reality and my feelings from myself. Why was I thinking of her? Why did I get embarrassed while talking about her. Realisation washed over me like a wave of epiphany.
I, Tamaki Suoh, had a crush.
*** The Next Dayy***
Walking down the familiar halls, I was on my way to my the last lesson of the day before free period. Today had been fairly calm, nothing much had happened, not to mention the lessons I had today were boring. I wasn't bothered about the work, my finals barely meant anything; I'd just be forced to take over my father's business anyway, so I didn't do much. Mainly I daydreamed. Soon enough it was over.
Arriving at the host club, I opened the door, however (Y/N) was the only one here so far. She turned round when she heard me come in, and waved happily. I waved back before hurrying off to the backroom. She called my name confusedly but I closed the door.
Viewing myself in the mirror, I realised my cheeks were dusted pink. How could I face anyone with a face like this? I'm so obvious. If I don't go back out soon though she'll come looking for me. Inhaling deeply, I puffed out my chest and walked back out, only for it to come out as a kind of sigh from my lack of courage. (Y/N) looked back up and came over to me.
"Tamaki, are you okay? You look a little flushed." A look of concern on her face, she raised her hand to my forehead. I blushed more. "Hmm, you're not too hot... You'll be fine. Try not to overdo yourself today, yeah?" She smiled, before turning her back and walking back over to the tea set she was managing.
"Yeah.." I mumbled, touching the spot where her soft fingertips had been.
"Maybe you'd feel better if you had some tea?" She looked at me from over her shoulder, and I was about to reply, but the other hosts arrived, cutting me off.
(Y/N) went to greet everyone as she usually does. She's so kind, and is always happy to see all of us, I don't know why I ever doubted her. I'm terrible. Grinning, she was talking to Haruhi, seeming very enthusiastic. They laughed, and I found myself smiling a little too.
"Boss? What's got'cha looking like that?" Snapping out of my daze I jumped to find Kaoru sitting to my left.
"Isn't it obvious? He's making goo-goo eyes at Haruhi." Looking to my right I found Hikaru, rolling his eyes.
"I was not!" I protested.
"Well then, was it (Y/N)?" They pressed, and I shook my head vigorously. Think of an excuse, fast!
"No! I was just... remembering something that made me smile and I so happened to be staring at them at the time!" Wow, good one Tamaki. They're definitely gonna see through that one.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever boss. See ya round." They walked off, and I looked around the room nonchalantly.
However, something caught my eye. Hikaru and Kaoru both had their arms around (Y/N)'s waist. Honey had given her a cookie he had made, and she had tried it.
"Let me try some." Kaoru took her delicate hand and lifted the cookie to his mouth, taking a bite.
"Oh, you have a crumb right there." Hikaru leaned in and licked (Y/N)'s cheek. Scowling at them, I walked over to them.
"Tamaki, you came over, are you feeling better now?" The twins loosened their grasp of (Y/N) as I came over. She came and looked up at me, as I was taller than her. I smiled down at her.
"Yes, I suppose so." I ruffled her hair, and she smiled.
"Great! Want me to open the doors?" She began walking over to the doors, and took a large step to catch up with her. I lifted her by the waist, and set her down to the side. She looked at me confusedly.
"This is daddy's job, you can do it when you're older." She sighed and nodded.
"Alright Host Club King, go ahead." She stood back and folded her arms. I smiled before turning back and opening the doors.
I, Tamaki Suoh, the Host Club King, had a crush, and I had no idea how it would work out...
Hey Readers!
Not too sure about this chapter... It's not my fave. Please tell me if you guys want more of certain characters. I feel this book is mainly Tamaki and the twins oops. I'm gonna try to get the others in but their characters are slightly harder for me. Feel free to request things to happen with characters and things, I'd be happy to write it ( Unless it's smut -_- 'cause I'm awkward like that ^-^)
Anyway Enjoy :*
