YWSL OC Pairing Week Day 2: Ghost

Pidge: Normally, Lamia and Elluki would never meet, given that Lamia lives in the The Vampire's Servant and is shipped with Xander, while Elluki is an immortal in The Mage and the Princess that is shipped with different people over the centuries.

Lance: However, Reina decided that it would be funny to use them in this, as they have different personalities. So yes there is now an Elluki x Lamia pairing. Ellukia or Ellumia.

Also, while Lamia could have been a politician, she doesn't

Lamia stepped out of Starbucks with her mocha, sighing. She had to head to work soon, where she was a film editor at Nintendo Studios, a film studio that specialized in anime. It's newest show, Fire Emblem, was the hottest anime airing, and so Lamia had to put in several extra hours to ensure that the next episodes were released on time.

Lamia sighed and shook her head. She walked towards her job, minding her own business until she heard someone hit a trashcan. She moved her head to the left, only to see a man cringe. He seemed normal- okay, he didn't. He had pink hair, blue eyes, pale skin, and a black cloak on with a purple shirt and black pants underneath with boots. His belt was merely rope with jewels on his hip.

And Lamia could see right through him.

"What the-" Lamia muttered, rubbing her eyes without spilling her mocha. She was wondering if waking up early was finally taking its toll on her mind, if stress was getting to her, or if one of the twins at Starbucks (Mostly Soka because Aiko wasn't evil or crazy) put something in her drink.

"Are... You okay?" Lamia asks as she steps closer.

The man looks up at her, shocked. "You... Can see me?"

Lamia nods. "Yes."

The man moves, and suddenly he's floating in front of Lamia, smiling. "Finally! Someone I can talk to!"

Lamia steps back, shocked. "Whoa whoa whoa! Personal space, my friend!"

The man pouts but complies. "Alright. What's your name?"

"Lamia. Lamia Lyric. And yours?"

"Elluki. Elluki Clockworker."

Lamia nods, but then remembers that she has to get to work. "I... I have to get to work soon...."

"May I come with you? I have nowhere to go..."

Lamia bites her lips, but then comes up with a plan. She takes out her earphones and looks at Elluki. "I'm going to put these in, but I'm not going to listen to music. That way you can talk to me, and I can respond by shaking my head or something. At least, if you want to describe your story. If not people might call me crazy."

Elluki nods. "Sounds fair, Lamia."

Lamia puts in the earphones and starts to head to work, sensing that Elluki was nearby. Given that it was early, not that many people were up, but it was better to be safe than sorry.

"I was a police officer months ago," Elluki begins as he walks near Lamia, passing through objects. "I was investigating a case that involved a cult, and while raiding the headquarters, I was ambushed. The next thing I knew, I was out of my body, and my body was gone. The raid failed, as some of the members escaped with the evidence, and I was declared missing. I tried to talk to everyone I came across, but no one could hear me. I gave up and began to look for my body, which us where you found me."

Lamia was completely and utterly speechless. What could she say to that? "I-I'm so sorry that happened, Elluki," she whispered.

Elluki smiles weakly. "It's okay Lamia. I've accepted it."

"How?" She asks.

Elluki shrugs. "Because I had to."

Lamia frowns, but says nothing. She stops. "This is where I work."

"Isn't this where the Fire Emblem series was created?" Elluki asks excitedly.

Lamia nods. "Yeah." She enters and heads to her workstation. She sits down and begins to work, editing. She can hear Elluki gasping and whistling, but blocks it out.

"Lamia, what's this?"

Lamia turns to see Elluki holding up the script. She gapes. "Put that down!" She hisses.

Elluki grumbles but puts the script down. He starts to ruffle through stuff. "Also, I can interact with the physical world," he says casually.

Lamia curses. "Stop it, Elluki."

"Why?"

Lamia opens her mouth, only to hear, "Lamia?"

Lamia turns to see one of the voice actors, Isa, leaning on the wall near her desk, eyes filled with concern. "Who are you talking to?"

"N-No one," Lamia assures.

Isa narrows her eyes. "Hmmm. Then why was the script flying?"

Can Isa see Elluki?!?!?

"It fell off the shelf," Lamia fibs.

"Who's Elluki?"

"A name I made up for a potential character. I occasionally talk to myself."

Isa doesn't seem to buy it and leans forward. "I know you may not want to talk about it, but can we talk about it at my place after work?"

Lamia wanted to say no, but she knew that Isa would never let it go. "Alright."

Isa nods. "Okay. See you afterwards." She walks away and heads to the booth. Once she was out of sight, Lamia turns to Elluki. "Stop trying to get me in trouble!"

"But I'm bored!" Elluki whines.

"Then watch what I'm doing!" Lamia hisses.

She knew it was going to be a long day.

---------------

Lamia dreaded the end of the workday. Who knows what Isa would say? Eventually, Lamia turned in her report, grabbed her stuff, and exits the building with Elluki, where she sees Isa leaning against her car (a Bentley Continental GT convertible), drinking a latte. She waves to Lamia cheerfully.

Lamia waves back and enters the car, seeing Elluki do the same. A second later, Isa enters and buckles up, with Lamia doing the same. "Ready?" Isa asks.

"Ready as I'll ever be."

Isa nods and pulls out of the parking lot, heading to her apartment.

Surprisingly, Isa was talking about characters in the latest season of Fire Emblem, Thracia 776. She ranted about the incest and how she had to voice some of the characters involved in said incest. Lamia sighs, not looking forward to editing it. This continued until they got out of the car and into Isa's studio apartment, where Isa makes Lamia jump.

"Are you telekinetic?" Isa asks.

"WHAT?!?!?!" Lamia shrieks.

"It's a serious question," Isa replies. "I saw the script fly into the air and flip through pages, and you were the only one in the room."

Lamia sees Elluki standing behind Isa, trying not to laugh. Lamia looks at Isa. "No, I'm not. Why would you suggest telekinesis?"

"Because," Isa replies, "there's magic in the world."

Lamia scoffs. "Yeah right."

"I'm serious. Watch."

Isa stares intently at Lamia, and a second later, her appearance changed into that of one of the characters, Lachesis. She bows. "Now do you believe me?" Isa says in Lachesis' voice.

"WHAT THE-"

"This is my ability," Isa explains as she returns to normal. "I have the ability to mimic others. At first I thought 'mutant'.... But some mages had the ability to change their appearance. And then one of my brothers, Asa, summoned fire with his hands, confirming magic."

"How do you know for sure?" Lamia asks skeptically.

"He joking yelled Elfire and nearly burnt Kai, another of my brothers."

"Oh..." Lamia replies. "No, not telepathy."

Elluki gets bored and picks up a mirror. Lamia looks at him, and without thinking, yells, "ELLUKI!"

Isa whips around to see the mirror. She tilts her head. "I can see something in the mirror..." She looks at Lamia, wide eyed. "You can see ghosts?"

Lamia sighs and looks up. "Yes."

"That is so cool!" Isa yells.

"Not really. This ghost is mischievous."

"Hey, at least you didn't summon a demon," Isa replies.

"What do I do about Elluki?" Lamia asks, still overwhelmed and not hearing what Isa said.

"I don't know. Maybe leave him at your apartment to read?"

"Boo," Elluki grumbles. Lamia sighs and looks at Isa. "Elluki says Boo."

"Maybe let him tag along?"

"Maybe," Lamia replies. She looks at Isa and Elluki. "We'll just have to see how this goes...."

-------------

The next few months go by swimmingly. Elluki and Lamia always went to work together, where they would talk (when no one was around, of course). They talk about the weather, literature, their lives, their plans for the future. Afterwards, Lamia would go shopping, and Elluki would help by suggesting things that seem... Odd. Lamia found it endearing that Elluki put tea in his cereal due to his hatred of milk.

It was a rather mundane life that Lamia and Elluki enjoyed. And both secretly wanted it to continue, but never voiced it.

They would also occasionally visit Isa to learn more about magic and the supernatural. While ghosts are invisible to most, sometimes they appear as smudges on mirrors if they had been kicked out by magical means. Elluki grumbled at that, muttering that it seemed stupid until Lamia pointed out that was how Isa was able to notice his presence by that smudge.

As for the presence of magic....

"There are several theories," Isa mutters. "Some say that an explosion in Ireland ushered in magic. Others says New York and San Francisco. And a few say Japan."

"That's broad," Lamia mutters, still trying to wrap her head around the magical society that Isa was a part of. Sort of. Really only to skim information and basically ignore them to avoid getting in their squabbles.

"It is. As for those with powers, there's no consensus. Maybe we are descendants of those who can wield magic. Maybe we are reincarnated from magical worlds to defeat a great evil. Or some mischievous person created alternate universes that they create to weave a story for their own amusement."

"You're making my head hurt," Elluki mutters. He writes that on a whiteboard and holds it up for Isa to see. Isa laughs and shakes her head. "Whatever."

Isa stretches and gets up. "Alright, I'm going to The Angel's Bar. Going to talk to a friend of mine about a paintball tournament we're going to enter."

"May I tag along? I need a drink," Lamia says.

Isa smiles. "Of course." She puts a jacket on and motions for Lamia and Elluki to follow.

On the way there, Lamia kept looking back at Elluki. She found herself doing that, as she fell in love with him two months ago when he made her laugh. She, however, that it could never work out. He was a ghost, and was once married. He never talked about his former spouse, Kiril, and Lamia wasn't sure if Elluki was gay, bi, or pan. It was better to keep these feelings for herself. It could never work out.

Eventually, they reach the bar. Isa heads straight for it to talk to Anabiel, the tatted bartender interested in the paranormal. Elluki follows, lamenting about his lack of ability to drink. Lamia stays to check her emails, and moves when she feels a hand grab her.

"Don't move," a voice says, and Lamia's blood runs cold.

That voice sounded like Elluki.

Lamia turns to see Elluki - or rather, his body, but with red eyes. She freezes, completely confused.

"LAMIA!"

Lamia gasps as she sees Elluki runs towards her. He stops, confused. "My body...."

"I'm surprised that you didn't recognize me," Lamia's assailant laughed. "After all, I am your sister in law."

Elluki gasps. "Irina!"

Irina smiles. "That's right. I was shot by an officer, so I took over your body. However, that didn't kill you. I want you to suffer for allowing Kiril to die."

"He died to save a child!" Elluki yells. "He died to save a life, something you could never understand!"

"Regardless... I'll make you suffer. Starting with this woman," she says as grabs Lamia's hair and yanks hard.

"Don't harm Lamia!" Elluki blurts out. Irina stops, and Lamia watches with wide eyes. "Please, Irina. I know that I have caused you and Kiril pain. But Lamia has nothing to do with this fight. If you let her go, you can end my life right now."

"Why would you do that?" Irina asks.

"Because I love her," Elluki confesses. "And she deserves do much better than me."

Lamia's eyes widen. No....

Irina lets go of Lamia, causing Lamia to fall to the ground, gasping. Irina pulls a blade out and approaches Elluki slowly.

Lamia looks up to see Elluki close his eyes, accepting his fate.

No.....

Without realizing it, Lamia gets up and runs to Irina and Elluki. She stands in front of Elluki-

And blocks Irina's blade with a sword of her own that summoned from darkness.

Everyone's eyes widen, and Lamia can hear Elluki gasp. She shakes her head and applies pressure against Irina's blade. "Elluki may have messed in the past, but he has a good heart," she hisses as she steps forward. "He has compassion. You don't, Irina. As such... You are the evil that must be dispelled." She suddenly swings her sword into a circle, disarming Irina. She kicks Irina, knocking her down. She moves to attack, but Irina kicks her and gets back up. Lamia stumbles, and looks at Elluki. "ELLUKI, RUN!"

She sees Elluki snap out of his stupor, and he nods-

Only to run straight at Irina and dives through her. A scream is heard, and suddenly Irina's soul tumbles out of Elluki's body. Lamia runs at her and stabs her, killing her. She dissipates, and Lamia starts gasping, attempting to regain her breath. She feels arms wrap around her, and she leans against the warm body hugging her

Elluki presses a kiss to her head. "Thank you for saving me...."

Lamia smiles and closes her eyes. "That's what lovers do."

Elluki tenses, and Lamia laughs. "Relax, Elluki. I like you too."

Elluki relaxes and holds Lamia tighter. "Good. I'm sorry... For not talking about Kiril, or Irina. I still feel... Raw, because I feel guilt. I could have saved him."

Lamia turns and cups Elluki's cheek. "It's okay. We all have our demons. I'll give you all the time you need."

Elluki smiles and kisses Lamia. "Thank you... Lamia."

Reina: And years later they have Luna and Lucian.

Pidge: .......

Reina: Anyway, that was day 2. The ending sucks because I wrote it when I was tired.

Lance: I liked how Lamia yelled at Elluki for messing with the script.

Reina: He wound up spoiling the end of Thracia 776 for himself, lol.

Keith: Haha

Reina: Technically Irina can never die in Evillious, but this isn't Evillious. Also, Elluki does love Lamia and has moved on from Kiril, but is upset because Irina blames him for Kiril's death. (Elluki wasn't even there when it happened because he was at work).

Pidge: What about that whole reincarnate from different times?

Reina: That was a concept for Isa that I threw away because it was OP.

Pidge: Oh

Reina: Yeah. That wraps this up.

Reina, Pidge, Keith, and Lance: Until next time!
