#19 - We're always busy!
Hey.
This guy, he is a good friend but because of high school I may not be able to see him as much. I can't hang out with him after school because we're always busy, with either music (for me) and soccer (for him). I don't wanna lose him as a friend though! Help please.

1. Social media
Darling, wake up and look around you! You're in the age of the Internet. Technology has enabled us to communicate with our friends, no matter what and no matter where!
Is he on snapchat? Facebook? Kik? Whatsapp? ADD HIM! You can keep in touch with him in this way. So even if you're both busy, hit him up with a message and just talk like old times.
2. Weekends
I doubt that you're always busy on the weekends. There's so much free time and I'm sure you'll be able to find a moment when you're both free. Ask him to chill and stuff, it shouldn't be that hard! So, maybe ask him when he's free and set aside a time, eg. Saturday night, to do something together.
3. School (?)
I don't know if you both go to the same school, but if so, you can sit next to him in a lesson you have together, or have a quick chat over lunch break. I'm sure you bump into him pretty often around the block, and a smile or a quick 'hello'! if you're in a hurry can let him know that you still want to be his friend.
4. Study Buddy?
I'm sure that amidst all your co-curricular activities (music, soccer), you have school work. If you take the same subject(s), why not invite him over to study with you? You can even invite one or two other friends to join in. Study groups are a great way of bonding...and getting work done.

I think if you let him know that you don't want to lose touch, and he agrees, you'll both make an effort in terms of making time to hang out. It shouldn't be that difficult. Being busy doesn't mean that the friendship will disappear. Plus, you'd be pretty surprised at how quickly you can rekindle a good friendship after months, or even after years.
Good luck!
