Areum's POV

Did Jungkook ask me to meet him because of the second heartbeat, like the ones I have? Or is it because we were staring at each other in between his concert, and he had skipped a part of his choreo.

As Hana and I were going to leave for home, I told her to go home by herself and told her that I had some to go shopping in the opposite direction of our houses.

She said okay, and left me.

I was waiting outside the building where the fan sign was taking place.

As time passed by I felt more nervous.

Will it go well?

After everyone had left, I went inside the building and went the backstage.

Near the opening to the backstage stood a man, who I think is a bodyguard of BTS or security.

Well, I go to him, and he asks me if I am Areum.

I nod my head.

I wasn't ready to speak anything because of my nervousness. I could feel my second heartbeat.

Then the man tells me to go inside, as Jungkook was waiting for me.

I smile and nod, and head into the room. I saw Jungkook with one of his hands on top of a table and the other on his waist, and his legs crossed.

I was so nervous, that my palms became wet due to so much sweat.
There were also so many butterflies in my stomach.

I then head towards Jungkook. He saw me coming towards him and he moved his hand from the tabletop, and held his hand in front of me, for a handshake.

We shake our hands, and he smiles, and says, "Hi, Areum, please be comfortable around me. No need to be nervous, I won't do anything to you."

I guess he noticed my wet palms.
I then speak, "Hi Jungkook. Well, I know you won't do anything, but I am nervous because you are like a stranger to me, I have just met you 2-3 times before and talked only one time at the fansign and, now we are here."

He chuckles. He then gets serious and speaks, "Well, do you believe in soulmates thingie?"

He knows about that?!

I said, "Well, I don't believe in all of this psychology and spiritual things, but some things which are said to be happening when soulmates are around, are happening to me, only when you are near, and when our eyes are in contact."

Well, since I entered this room, I couldn't make any eye contact with Jungkook, because I was nervous as heck, and if we make eye contact, we wouldn't speak anything and just stare into each other's eyes.

Then Jungkook says, "Well, I also do not believe in all of that stuff, but I have also heard about that spiritual stuff, but I never believed it, and I don't believe in love too."

My eyes then lit up, I was feeling a little bit comfortable around him, because we both didn't believe in the same things, and we were kinda similar.

I said, "I also don't believe in love. But I guess we are soulmates according to all of that spiritual stuff and all."

He then smiles and says, "Well I also think that we are soulmates."

His face then turns serious. What's with his mood swings?! He says, "But, don't take the next thing, which I'm gonna say, in a rude way."

I say, "Okay"

He then says, "We can't fall in love. Am sorry. This might cause a lot of problems, and it might be harmful to both of us, so I think we shouldn't be involved in all of this. And I don't want to fall in love, because I hate all of that."

I understand him.

I say, "Yeah, I know. It is for the best of both of us. I understand you."

I then rub his back in an assuring way, and he doesn't move at all, and I don't know how I got that much confidence. It felt like, I knew him very well, and from a lot of time back.

I then asked, "So can we just be friends?"
He smiled and said, "Yeah! Of course, why not? Well, can you give me your phone number, so that we can be in touch, as we are friends now, and also soulmates, I guess."
I chuckle, and say, "Yeah yeah, why not? Here you go."

After giving him my number, we talked for some time, and then I had to leave because it was getting late.

I bid him goodbye and then left.
