The next day ~
3rd POV
All guards in training marched up the hills to Nahakra village. The fun that they had at the Carnival lived in their memory's, especially in Laurence's memory's. Laurence quietly marched up the hill with out talking to anyone. His face was still flushed with red when he left Lucinda's house that morning. His heart increase on beating every time he thought about what happened yesterday night and today in the morning.
"...Garroth..." He thought quietly in his head, as he placed his hand on his lips. The wind blew gently on his fiery orange hair, making the day a bit chilly. "Is... Was that a joke? Was he playing with me?" He softly spoke, turning his head slowly to see Garroth with his full suit of armor. "Sigh" sighing in disbelief, he continues marching on the paved road. "I like you Laurence."
Garroth voice haunted in his head, making shivers go down his spine. But shivers weren't the only thing that gave Laurence a heart attack, an arrow was shot from the forest and aimed right on his back. A smile came across from the person, and their green and blues eyes twinkled. The person ran as fast as it can while Laurence screamed in pain and agony. "GAH!" He shouted, falling to the floor with blood sliding down.
"L-Laurence!!" Shouted Dante and Azura, running back to him. "Laurence stay with us!" Dante says kneeling down, moving his bangs to the side. Now Azura, she ran to tell the captain about Laurence and everyone ran for him. "Medical supplies stat!" Dante shouted as he saw Laurence's blue eyes fading to white. Azura ran to one of the horse and got out the medical supplies, with a wild rush she bumped into Garroth. "G-Garroth! H-help L-Laurence... H-HES HURT!"
As she grabbed his hand and ran where a bunch of guards were swarming around Laurence and Dante. But as they almost made it, Garroth stopped, staying in place while Azura is pulling with all her might. Azura looked up, noticing that Garroths eyes were wide, and his body froze in place. To Garroth, when he heard Laurence is almost dead, he froze still, not able to move, not able to walk, just stuck in place.
"Garroth! SNAP. OUT. OF. IT!" As she pulls him, snapping her fingers, kicking him, punching him, slapping him, but nothing. It was no use, she let go of his arm and went running to where Dante was. "What took you so long?" Dante said, hands bloody, eyebrows narrowed down seeing that she was slow. "Garroth..." She mumbled under her breathe, taking out the medical supplies. Dante didn't question what Azura had said, so he continued on slowly pulling out the arrow.
All of a sudden, they heard a metal clank onto the ground, Azura turned to see Garroth on his knees, crying. She stood up, giving the rest of the supplies to a guard next to her. She ran to his side and hugged him. She felt tears rushing down his face on her shoulders, "There, there, Garroth. Be strong, please. Help us, help Laurence, if you care so dearly about him then go. Go help him, Garroth!"
She looked into Garroths eyes, whipping them away from his face, and then started to blush. Garroth looked at her, smiling and sniffling. "Thank you Azura." Standing up, rushing next to Dante, leaving Azura with pink cheeks. Even though they've been friends for a long time, Garroth only thinks of Azura as a friend, but Azura thinks more then being friends with Garroth.
Ever since she lived in O'khasis, she has met Garroth at the age of 7, she had loved him. She stood there, face heating up, eyes relaxed, as she regretted that she had the chance of kissing him. She walked next to Garroth, putting her hands on his shoulders, and helped them get the arrow out of Laurence. "He patched up, and taking a rest."
One of the guards say to the three of them, putting back the medical supplies. "Whos going to carry him then?" Azura asked, looking at every single guard. "I will." Garroth stepped out, picking up Laurence bridal style. There everyone started to continue on walking, while Garroth put on his helmet. "That arrow came from the woods, since, well the archers didn't do it." Dante grumbled, frustrated on how who shout Laurence.
Azura looked at Laurence, moving his bangs to the side and getting a good look at his wound. "Well I think we should leave you two alone, Azura come on." Dante motioned Azura to go straight ahead, leaving them both alone. Garroth looked at Laurence, he was peacefully asleep in his arms. "Who would of done this to you?" As he sigh and stared at him.
Something in Garroths mind started to flicker, telling him to move Laurence's hair, so it could look short. He carefully moved Laurence's fiery orange hair, picturing his hair in a different hair color, then all of a sudden, a picture appeared in his mind along with a memory.
"Come on Gar!" As a boy with brown hair looked straight into the boy with blond hair. His blue eyes, filled with happiness and glee, seeing small Garroth. Sadly, his blond friend wasn't happy, he was crying. "Garroth!" The boy ran to him, with his arms wide open, pulling Garroth into his arms. "What's wrong?" As Garroth buried his face into his chest, feeling his tears stream down his face.
"My mama... MOMMY!" Garroth screamed in pain, holding onto the boys embrace, not ready to get away from the warmth of hope he has left. The small brunette looked at him with disbelief, but gave it all to comfort the one he cherished the most. The one that he cares for as a brother, and the one he loves. "First I lost Vlyad.... Then... THEN I LOST MY MOMMY!" He shouted, and let go of his friends embrace, running behind a tree.
The boy followed him, sitting next to him upset. He didn't want to see his friend upset, he wants him to be happy. "Garroth, please don't cry. I can't stand seeing you like that." Giving his best friend/lover an embrace. "Why... Are you so...nice to...me?" Garroth asked, looking into the brunettes light blue eyes, the eyes he has fallen for when he sees him. "Because I love you and don't deny that you don't like me." As he looks at his face, "because I know you like me."
Garroth started to shake, knowing that he was to close to his face, mostly inches away. "No I d-don't!" Garroth pouted, but then looked up at the brunette. "I love you..." Garroth mumbled under his breathe, blushing. The brunette smirked, getting closer to small Garroth until someone was calling out his name. "Laur! Come on! We have to take a picture with the whole family!" A girl called out, which made Laur jumped.
"Come on Gar, you need to see my pet I was talking about!" As he pulled him to where the ocean was viewed. "Ungrath! Where are you?" Laur called out, until he was tumbled down by a girl with fiery orange hair. "Brother! Ungrath is with daddy! Come on let's go..." She looked at Garroth with wide eyes, "who's he?" She asked, looking at Garroth, amused how cute he looks with her brother. "This is my friend Garroth or what I call him Gar."
As he stepped Garroth in front of him. "Ah! I see! A friend, well you know what daddy says, friends are family too!" She clapped her hands, until she stopped and went upset. "Until we leave back to our village, you'll never see each other again." She mumbled, but put on a smile.
"Well don't be shy, come on! I'll take a picture of you and Laur!" He then grabbed Garroth hand, standing together side by side. "Um no. Something wild in this picture!" Laur's sister said with a smile. "You mean like this?!" As he picked up Garroth bridal style, making Garroth blush. "THAT'S IT!" She squealed in excitement, ready to take the picture. "Now say cheese!" She said, giving thumbs up.
And there, Garroth freaked out. As he opened his eyes to the sound of snapping fingers. "Garroth? Are you okay?" Dante said, looking at a blushing Garroth. "Ah, I'm fine Dante." Rubbing his neck, and quickly putting back his hand under Laurence. "Hold on Garroth. We're almost there!" Dante pats his back, then running back to Azura. Garroth looked at Laurence, surprised and confused why that image came in his head. "I didn't know I had a friend that long. I guess the lost of my mummy and baby brother consumed me." As he looks up, he smiles at the sky. "Hi Vlyad, hi mummy." Tears rolled down his face, making him conflicted to stop. "Laur, eh? That almost sounds like Laurence..." He looked down at him, staring at his fiery orange hair, and remembering his emerald green eyes. "No...it can't be..." As he continued to march down the hill. He replayed the image over and over, until he just gave up. "I'll think of it later, besides maybe my mind is playing tricks on me. For now,I got to focused on caring Laurence down the hill. He then, with out any of the guards looking, kisses Laurence on the check. "I love you...Laurence♥" heating up his heart, like a chocolate candy.
"I love you, Garroth♥."
"I love you too, Laurence♥."
As they both whispered in each others ears after Laurence's sister, Cadenza, finished taking pictures of the family. But as the memory couldn't get through the full names, Garroth only knew one name...
Laur?
