Garroths POV

I woke up to bigglesworth flapping wings. "Hey there buddy..." As I raised my hand up. He then landed on my hand snuggling up on my hand. I then looked around my surroundings to see that there was the armor. Wait a minute, I'M NOT WEARING MY ARMOR! "Good morning Garroth! I see you've noticed that you don't have your armor on. Well you were shivering so I had to take your armor off." Lucinda explained to me. I looked at her hair which was the color of a pumpkin, her eyes was the color purple, and her outfit was to knee level. "Where are we again?" I asked rubbing my eyes. "This is my house. Right now were outside Pikro Village. They don't allow *ahem* witchcraft or magicks users in the village." She sadly said. My mind was a bit uneasy but its sad. Now a days villages don't allow witchcraft or magicks users in. A memory popped up as it was the reason why I left Okasis. I ran away because I didn't want to marry the daughter of Scales wind. I ran to become a guard, and the only application to sign up for guard training is in Pikro Village. "Lucinda, by any chance is signing up for guard training is in this village?" I asked her. "Why of course Garroth. I can get you the application if you want." She offered. I shook my head as I put on my gloves. "No Lucinda, you might get hurt by the guards if you enter. Now please tell me where I'm going to go sign up for guard training?" I asked. She handed me a bowl of cereal and smiled. "Here some breakfast, you need it. The sign up is by the well in the center of the village. Good luck Garroth." As she walked down stairs with me to a saddled up horse outside. "Now you better go before there's no more applications." As she gave me a quick hug. I rode the horse like a real guard would. I galloped a lot till I made it to the entrance. "Guard training is that way." One of the guards pointed to the well. I tied my horse up on a fence post and ran to the well. I made it on time because the man called out for the last application. "Aren't you a lucky guy. Well what's your name kid?" He asked. "Garroth." I answered to his reply. "Here's the paper and good luck. When your done give it to me." I walked over to where my horse was at. "WAIT! I NEED AN APPLICATION!" Someone shouted. He ran to were I was and bumped into me. "Gah! Watch where you going man!" I replied. "I'm so sorry! I-I just didn't want to be late getting the application." As I saw him stand up and reached his hand to mines. I some way he's a bit cute, if I had to say. I stood up with some help from him. "Actually I got the last application. I'm sorry." As I hung my head down. "Oh...thank you for telling me..." As his fiery orange hair flowed in the wind. "Here's your paper to." As he handed over two sheets of paper. Wait a minute! Two sheets of paper! "The man must have give me two papers! You can join to be a guard!" As I handed him the second paper. With that he looked really happy. "Thank you... My name is Laurence. Laurence from Meteli." As he introduced himself to me. Laurence? Why does that name sound so familiar? Why does he remind me of someone? "My name is Garroth. But I cannot tell where I'm from." I said. "Ah, I see. Your one of those guys that keep secrets. I mean you look mysterious by your armor. I can respect a fellow new in training guard. Who knows. I might know you but from somewhere." As he shrugged his shoulders. "Shall we finish this application Laurence?" I handed him a quill. "We shall!" As he started of writing information.

A few minutes later

"Sorry for the mix up there gentlemen. Anyway welcome to how to become a guard. This training will start by going to Scales wind. After that you will head to Okasis guard head quarters for the Jury of Nine to train you even more. Now first things first, you two are going to be partners til the Jury of Nine judges you by combat skills to put you into a group of four. You to will be staying together in a room. Make your self comfortable." As he gives us a room key. "Thank you sir." I said to him. "What now Garroth?" Laurence asked. I looked at his green emerald eyes, I feel like I can see a light shade of blue but the emerald is out masking the blue. Why do I feel like I know him from somewhere. "Well I'm going back to get my stuff. You can do you." As I walked out of the village. "Come on Garroth! We have to get to know each other some how! Can I come with you! Please I have no where to go!" He pleaded. I sighed and held out my hand. "Come with me." He grabbed my hand and we galloped to Lucinda's place. He wrapped his arms around my waist. I can feel myself blushing knowing Laurence is really that close to me. "Garroth, have I met you some how? Because I can swear I've heard you voice before." Laurence mentioned. Oh he as well feels the same. "No. I don't recall meeting you where I used to live." As I galloped even faster. "Oh alright. Just asking." He sounded upset. I can't blame him, I swear I've seen him too. The whole day me, Laurence and Lucinda did a lot of activities til dawn. "I can't wait to see my star again! Laurence laid on the grass outside. "Star? What do you mean?" I asked him sitting next to him. I took off my helmet to feel the fresh wind breeze blow my hair. "Our names match a certain star, like for example there's my star." He points to the one up above. "So your name is Garroth so your star is right there." Laurence pointed to the star next to his. He gasped for a bit as his eyes widen open. "What's wrong?" I asked. "Every star has a partner, to love, to protect. Our star is in a rare state." He add. I looked up to see what he was talking about. Our star was in a group of three. "I wonder why its on that stage?" He asked. "Don't know but whatever happens at least I know we're friends." As I stood up, but suddenly fell down on top of his lap. My face was filled with fluster as I looked into his eyes. "Garroth... Are you okay?" He asked softly. My heart started to beat fast, but in my head words rushed in left to right. "I-I think I'm alright! W-What did YOU think!?" As I nervously spout out words. He laughed for a bit giving me a warm smile. "Just asking...we better go before Lucinda will ask why were in this position." As Laurene picked me up bridal style, and then placed me on the ground. "T-Thank you L-Laurence for catching me." As I blush a tint of pink. "Come on let's go inside Garroth!" As he drags me up the stairs. Maybe this will be fun being with Laurence at Guard training? Laurence... why do you seem so familiar?
