Unknown Relative
It's been a few months since Peter's last living relative, May Parker, had died. She was on her way home from work one day, when a semi truck collided with her car and she died on impact.
Peter was crushed when the police showed up at his apartment. He had lost so much in his few years of life but he knew he couldn't let his aunt's death send him into depression.
He packed up as much as he could, making sure to take some of May's belongings, and he left. He fled his apartment two months ago, and had been living on the streets ever since.
No one knows that Spiderman is homeless. No one knows that Peter Parker is homeless. He had managed to hide from the police and social services as they try to hunt him down to stick him in an orphanage.
The cops had absolutely no lead on where Peter was, until one day, when everything changed.
Peter sat in his alleyway with his back against the wall and his legs stretched out in front. He wasn't hungry or thirsty since people tended to ask Spiderman how they could repay him and he always responded with, 'Maybe a bit of food?'.
He didn't realize that he had dozed off, until he was surrounded by cops, and a social service worker was shaking him awake.
"Peter Parker, you need to come with us." The worker said.
Peter didn't have time to argue since he was lead to a car and ushered inside. He couldn't help but think about what would happen to him in foster care.
Would he ever get adopted or would he just live in an orphanage forever?
Would he get abused in his foster home?
Will he ever be loved again?
Would he ever-
His thoughts were interrupted when the social worker began to speak.
"Listen, Peter, we understand why you ran. Thinking that you lost your only living relative must be scary."
Peter was confused. Thinking that he lost? May was dead. She was his last relative. What else is there to it?
"What do you mean?" Peter asked.
"We've found one of your relatives Peter. It's your great-grandfather."

The Avengers were all sitting in the common room together. And by all the avengers, I mean Natasha, Steve and Bucky. The rest of them were going to be away for the next few months. Stark was on a business trip, Wanda and Vision went on a romantic getaway. Sam, Clint and Rhodey were overseas, and no one knew where Bruce and Thor were.
Bucky was watching the news, while Natasha was reading and Steve was sketching. It was a peaceful yet pleasant afternoon. Their relaxation was interrupted when the doorbell rang.
"One minute." Bucky called. He got up and walked over to open the door while Nat and Steve continued their activities.
When Bucky opened the door, he was met with a cop and a social services worker.
"May I help you?" Bucky asked confused.
"I am looking for Mr. Steve Rogers." The social worker said in a monotone voice. The cop was expressionless as well.
"STEVE! There's some robots at the door for you!" Bucky called out to the living room. Steve cane walking over.
"Hi, I heard you'd like to speak with me?" Steve asked.
The social worker didn't seemed dazed whatsoever that The Captain America was standing right in front of her. Instead, she just read her paper.
"Mr. Rogers, we would like to inform you that you have a great-grandson named Peter Parker in need of a home. His great-grandmother is the late Peggy Carter, his grandfather and grandmother are the late Henry Carter-Parker and Jules Carter-Parker, his parents are the late Richard Parker and Mary Parker. He used to reside with his Aunt and Uncle, the late May Parker and the late Benjamin Parker. You are his only living relative therefore by the law, he is required to live with you until the age of 18. We will have workers drop him off tomorrow morning at 9 am." The worker said and her and the copper walked off without waiting for a reply.
Steve shut the door and walked back into the living room. He had a shocked and pained expression on his face.
"What's wrong Steve?" Nat asked.
Steve looked puzzled before answering. He turned to Bucky.
"You remember Peggy right?" He asked.
"How could I forget! You too were lovebirds!" Bucky exclaimed.
"Well it turns out she's dead." Steve said bluntly.
"Oh Steve I'm so sorry..." Nat replied.
"But that's not it. She also gave birth to a girl named Jules, who was apparently also my daughter, and she had two boys named Richard and Benjamin before she and her husband died, but then Richard got married and had a kid named Peter, but then his mom and dad died, so he went to live with his aunt and uncle, but then they died too and now the kid is coming here at 9 am to live with me!" Steve said running out of breath at the end.
Nat's jaw dropped. Bucky screamed.
"YOU AND PEGGY FONDUED!?"

Peter was extremely nervous. Today was the day he was going to meet his great grandpa. He was already informed that it was going be Steve Rogers aka Captain freaking America picking him up.
He really hoped Steve would like him. He knew that he would need to tell him about Spiderman, since like he's an avenger, but he was a little scared to say the least.
A knock on the door of the social service room brought him back to earth. Steve then walked in and looked down at the boy.
"Umm hello, I'm Steve." He said while holding out a hand to Peter.
"I-I'm Peter..." Peter said nervously and shook Steve's hand. Cap looked shocked at his strong grip.
"I guess I'm your great grandpa huh?" Steve said with a bit of a chuckle.
"I mean it'll be weird calling you that since you're only like 30 or something." Peter chuckled too.
"Well I'm actually 101, but let's go with 30." Steve said bringing the kid in for a hug. He had just met the boy and he already felt a strong connection for him. Peter was feeling it too.
Steve brought Peter back to the tower and showed him around. The last stop was to go and meet Nat and Bucky.
"We're here!" Steve called out.
That was then followed by sounds of squirming and sprinting over to where Steve and Peter stood.
"H-hello." Peter said shyly.
"Hi there Peter, my name is Natasha, it's a pleasure to meet you." Natasha smiled softly, something very uncommon for her.
"And I'm Bucky! I've been Steve's best friend for over 75 years!" Bucky cheered, bringing his pal in for a squeeze.
"Alright Buck that's enough." Steve chuckled.
"Why don't you go make yourself comfortable for a bit Pete, and I'll start up on dinner?"
"Okay! Bye Natasha! Bye Bucky! Bye great grandpa Cap!" Peter said as he ran up to his room. While he was in there, he thought of ways to tell them he was Spiderman.

Once dinner was finished and put away, the heroes sat in the living room watching the evening news. A video of Spiderman cane up, and Peter found this the perfect opportunity to tell them. Sadly for him, it was JJ presenting it.
"In this video you can see Spiderman being a menace! He is dangerous and should be taken off the streets! I know a hero when I see one, like Iron Man or Captain America, but this masked vigilante is no hero! Just a menace!"
Peter rolled his eyes and shut the TV off.
"Why'd ya do that Pete?" Steve asked.
"I hate how JJ always talks bad about Spiderman." Peter shook his head.
"Well I mean when he wears a mask all the time, you would expect people to grow suspicious." Natasha shrugged.
"But he's a hero! I love him! He's better than any of us! He saves people all the time! He doesn't deserve this bullying!" Bucky fangirled.
"I don't disagree with you at all. He is a hero. He does what the avengers don't make it in time to do." Natasha agreed.
"I agree too. Without him, New York would have much more crime." Steve nodded.
"So you all like Spiderman?" Peter asked hopeful.
"I mean yea I guess so." Steve nodded.
"Good... because well, I'm Spiderman." Peter said quietly.
All of the avengers' mouths dropped open. They were speechless. Peter thought they didn't believe him, so he took off his sweater to reveal the high tech suit that he had made himself underneath. He also shot a web at the wall to prove it even more.
"Oh my god! I get to live with Spiderman!" Bucky freaked out. Peter chuckled. Natasha just nodded in respect for the young hero.
"But Pete, you're so young...how?" Steve asked confused.
"Well when I got bit by that radioactive spider, I just got these powers." Peter shrugged.
"But aren't you a little young to be a superhero?" Steve asked concerned.
"Aren't you a little old to be a superhero?" Peter retorted.
Bucky burst into laughter and so did Natasha. Steve just shook his head and chuckled. Peter laughed with them.
Peter was happy here. He had a great new life ahead of him. He was finally loved again, and he knew this would be forever...
Well, forever until Parker luck takes over and ruins this for him!
Yay! I hope this one was a bit happier? I've been getting asked to make more happy chapters but like I just find it easier to write sad stuff. Is that bad? Oh well. Anyways thanks for reading!
