Samantha's P.O.V.

"The city is under attack. All citizens report to the closest bunker possible. This is not a drill, I repeat, THIS IS NOT A DRILL!"

'Okay, okay, keep calm and just...'

BOOM!!

'...JUST RUN!!!'

I was just getting ready to run out of the building when I felt a sudden shake.

The building was 20 stories high, and I was on the top story to try and get to my apartment when the attack began. The elevator was out of order and I soon got lost in the chaos. Once the crowd cleared I tried to get to the stairs when the shaking of the building caused me to fall. I heard the sound of the brick in the 10th story breaking apart. I glanced out a window and saw that everyone got out okay. The building shook violently and lurched to one side.

I knew what was happening next.

The building lurched to it's side and began to fall. In that instant, everything seemed to slow down. I closed my eyes and braced for impact. Before I hit the ground, I heard the sound of breaking glass and soon felt myself in someone's arms. I, however, refused to open my eyes. I soon felt the one who was carrying me land. I opened one eye to make sure I was really on the ground, then opened the other eye, and got out of my saver's arms.

I looked up and I saw a black jackal. He wore black gloves and shoes with a trim of silver on them. He also wore a silver mask that had only one eye visible, as the other one was covered by a black lightning bolt. The eye I could at least see was a bright yellow color. He also had some kind of dark red glowing gem fused to his chest that, to my assumption, was allowing him to levitate.

"Are you alright?" he asked

"Y-Yeah, I'm okay. Thank you for saving me" I replied

He only nodded and began to hover away before he stopped and turned around.

"If we meet again, what do I call you?" He asked

"Samantha" I answered

"And what would your name be?" I asked

He paused, but then answered

"You may call me infinite"

With that, he turned around and flew off...

...and I didn't look away until he was out of my view.
