Infinite is on his knees, glitching nonstop, he lift his head a bit glarring at them all.

He tight his grip on the cement, he hate it. The way that red wolf stare at him. The way they all stare at him

The stare of hatred and anger in their faces, he want to rip their faces off.

"Impossible...i cannot be defeated!" Infinite said with anger trying to get up but his legs failed him to do so, he can't feel his legs, he hated it.

"Wrong Loser! The things that can't be defeated are heart-" Sonic began as Infinite glared at him.

'shut up'

"Soul-" Sonic continued, but the more the hedgehog talk, it makes Infinite want to strangle him.

'shut the f*ck up!'

"and the bond of friendships" Sonic said as he look over at Gadget and the wolf nodded in agreement.

"the things that you and your counterfeit cronies lack" Sonic finishes as he glared at Infinite.

Infinite's anger grew more.

they don't understand.

He once have them, but more than friendship, more than trustful soldiers.

"brother!" a child yelled out as a toddler struggled to stand up, the smaller child hugging the toddler with tears starting to come out.

Infront of them is a brown bear mobian with a satchel in his hand, glarring at them.

"next time do it right! Or I'll do it much more than a punch you hear me?" the bear said in a threatening tone.

The small child whimpered as the toddler holding his mouth that have been bleeding because of the punch, one of his teeth fell out and it's bleeding nonstop.

The toddler can't speak so he only nodded fearfully. The bear scoffs before leaving, not even leaving a coin for their payment.

"b-brother.." the smaller child whimpered as tears running down from his face, ears pinned down and starring at his older brother with his E/C eyes.

The toddler look at the smaller child still covering his mouth and use his other hand to patted the child's head.

He then hold the child's hand and walked away from the alleyway, the child sniffed and whimpered staying close to the toddler.

The older child heard a noise making him look over and sees children at his age all playing, eating, having fun, laughing and sleeping under their parent's protection.

The older child felt envy inside of him tightening his grip on the smaller child making the child look at him in a confused manner.

"b-brother..?" the child asked stopping the older one and look at him, his grip soften and slightly tug him to continue on walking.

They keep walking until they reach a dark alleyway.

The two children entered and already heard them.

"can you keep them down!"

"I'm trying!"

"your not even trying to!"

There are 5 more Jackals in there.

2 that are closest at his age, 1 that is middle and twins that are younger.

The twins are laughing trying to run away from one of the oldest, while the only girl in the group is watching in annoyance while the middle one is just sleeping on the makeshift bed that is made of cardboard.

"huh? Zero! Zero's here!" one of the twins said which cause them to stop and look except for the one that's sleeping.

"Zero! Zero! Your back!" the other twin said as the two oldest sees Zero covering his mouth, even noticing the small blood running out to his jaw.

The girl and the boy Jackals immediately knew something is wrong, the other look at the girl as she nodded.

" Y/N come here. Quatre, Cinq come. It's time for bed" the girl said as the two twins groan.

"but it's morning!" one of them complained.

"it's afternoon" the girl said as the two twins groan once again.

Y/N went closer to Zero doesn't want to leave him, he felt his head being petted on as he look and sees Zero petting his head gently and stared at him, two different colored eyes stares at innocent E/C eyes.

The smaller jackal slowly nodded and let go of Zero and went to the other three to get ready for bed.

The other oldest boy look at Zero with arms crossed.

"...he didn't give it...does he..?" he asked as Zero is silent before nodding.

The boy sigh walking over to Zero.

"alright, let's see what we have here. Let go of your mouth" he said as Zero hesitated before uncovering his mouth.

The boy cringed at the sight, his mouth is bloody, two of his teeth fell out as blood and saliva are mixed and even drooling out of his mouth.

The boy take off his T-shirt and use it to wipe the saliva and blood. His very careful and gentle.

Zero flinches when he reach to where his missing teeths are which are swelling badly.

The boy have a bit trouble because there is a teeth that is suppose to fall off but still clinging in his gums.

Sadly they don't have fresh water so the boy ripped small part of his shirt and place it to the broken teeth.

"keep it there for now, it will be hurtful but I think it's a only way to not make the gums swell too much" the boy said as Zero nodded keeping the cloth that is now stained but saliva and blood.

"i just hope it won't become a problem" the boy said, he isn't a doctor. He isn't even a dentist, his just relying on his guts.

Zero is just silent before walking over and sit down leaning against the wall.

The boy just look then sigh.

"don't worry...we can find more small jobs to earn enough money to feed, Duex can probably carry luggages, Trois can take cleaning the dishes at restaurants. And I can probably do a delivery, I think" the boy said thinking hard.

Zero on the other hand feel useless, he hated it. He hate to feel like this.

He look outside the alleyway and saw a child eating as much as they can and even have fun like there's no care in the world.

Zero's hands clenched into fists.

"what do you think?" Zero snapped out of his thoughts to look at the boy confused.

He blink and sigh.

"I said I can probably take two or three jobs to-"

The boy stop and look at Zero.

"Uno" the boy named Uno stopped when Zero gave a warning.

"but Zero! We can't keep up with this, we can't keep on stealing and do what those grown ups want us to do!" Uno said as Zero shakes his head.

"...they won't accept us..." Zero said.

"and why not?" Uno asked.

"because we're jackals!....we're treated like a piece of trash! A ripped of version of wolves and dogs!" Zero said to Uno angrily as Uno blink then his ears slowly lowered down.

"...we are represent as dirty and criminals...they won't even help us.." the jackal said starring down as Uno is silent.

"...well then we just have to prove them wrong! " Zero stopped and look at Uno confused.

"we'll prove them that Jackals are strong and superiors!" Uno said with a smile and look at Zero.

"we'll show them, we'll show them that we can also be useful!" Uno continues with a determination look. Zero look at his suprised as Uno look at him with a smile.

"and you will be our leader! You'll lead us to success and we'll always follow you!" Uno said with a smile, Zero stared at him and look behind as he sees Trois taking Y/N, Quatre and Cinq to bed, Duex still sleeping.

Zero look back at Uno seeing his bright smile. Showing how much he trust him.

Zero is silent for a moment before a small smile appeared on his muzzle.

"...I'll make you all stronger...I promise..." he said as Uno's smile grew bigger.

He'll make them stronger...but not only that...he'll protect them, he'll love them...he'll make sure to have a life that they always wanted. A normal life.

Infinite hit his fist on the ground.

He have stand up.

He can still defeat them.

He frozed, he felt the Phantom Ruby.. It's making him.

He grunted, he look at his hand and sees his hand fading.

'No...no.. No...'

He can't, he have to.

He tried to stand up, but he only felt himself start to float and he feel his body begins to dissapear.

"Wait!...no..I...I can still fight!" Infinite said as he tried to reach for them, this is all their fault.

It's all their fault.

He wanted to ripped their heads out, tore them apart, burn them alive, He...

His body fades away as the Phantom Ruby dash off to the tower, Sonic and Gadget look where it went as Sonic blink.

Something flash in his eyes at that moment, he thought he sees someone, not Infinite he saw someone different.

Sonic quickly shake his head and focuse about that later, for now him and the others have something else to deal with, he look and glared at him...Eggman.
