It's been couple of weeks since that happened, the Squad start to see Zero differently but Y/N isn't. He still talk to him and sleep with him for warmth and comfort since it's a instinct after all.

Zero is glad as he stroke Y/N's hair slowly and gently, he feel himself start to drift away everytime the Doctor injected him and experiment him with the rock called Phantom Ruby.

But whenever he sees Y/N, he feel himself. Y/N is the only one that keep him sane, he does love his Squad but they start to hate him. He can't blame them though.

He almost hurt Y/N...but here he is instead of being afraid of him or even hate him. He still talk to him, sleep with him and even hang out with him.

He love them, he love every each one of them. After all his the one who adopted them and help them from this cruel world. He feed them, he protect them, he made them feel safe, his the one who even tried to take the hits from his former boss so that they won't get hurt.

And even when he turned into a mercenary they joined him, help him and always there with him.

Even though they all hate him, they didn't leave him, their always there. He guessed they still love him after all.

A small smile appeared on his muzzle finding it amusing.

Their idiots...his idiots...

He stroke Y/N's hair again and look at his squad.

Uno isn't sleeping in the bed as usual but sleeping on the floor. He said once that the floor is comfortable to him than the bed, he seems to get use to sleep on the floor.

Duex is sleeping in the bed with his head hanging down at the edge of the bed, his a heavy sleeper. He fell off once from the hammock and still fell asleep, Quatre and Cinq decided to draw in his face that time.

Trois seems to be normal of them sleeping on the bed normally, she's even a morning person but he always wake up earlier than her.

Quatre and Cinq, the twins are always sleeping in the same bed piling at eachother and their inseparable.

And Y/N, his little brother. He love him, whenever his busy his there to keep the squad in line, his like a second in command. Y/N admires him and he doesn't know why.

Zero smiled and stroke Y/N's hair and sees Y/N stir but continue his slumber.

Their the only ones who can keep his sanity, and after this he will make them pay for what they did to them.

Until he came...

"Doctor! A intruder appeared!" Cubot yelled making Eggman stopped what his doing and take a look as well Zero.

"ugh, who is it this time?!" Eggman said in frustration and annoyance as both mini bots look at eachother then at them.

"It's Shadow the hedgehog sir" Orbot said as Zero raised a brow but Eggman have his eyes widen.

"WHAT?! WHERE IS HE?! QUICK SEND THE BOTS!" Eggman commanded as the two mini bots quickly push some buttons, Zero approuch one of the security cameras looking at it with his eyes narrowed until his eyes widen.

He sees Uno get thrown across the room hitting the wall aggressively, before Uno can get up a black hedgehog with red stripes suddenly appeared grab his neck. Zero's eyes widen.

In that moment he immediately took off. "hey! Where are you going?!" Eggman shouted at Zero but he ignore him and continue to run as fast as he can. He feel himself panicking, his heart beating too fast as he force his legs to run even more faster.

He quickly took a sharp turn and stopped at the room, but his eyes widen with his pupils shrink.

Trois is laying on her stomach in the floor, there's blood flowing out from her back where she got stabbed.

Duex is sitting in the corner of the room with splash of blood on the wall and slides down to where his head is, his skull must have crack open from the strong impact.

Quatre is laying on the floor burn marks in different parts of his body and even burned his fur. Especially his face where his eyes is, it's all burned.

Cinq is laying on the table where chemicals are spilled and the containers shattered, his right arm is gone and blood running out, there is also a large piece of sharp glass stabbed on his chest where most of the blood coming from.

He then sees a thud making him look and sees the hedgehog dropped Uno which he fell on the ground with a crack neck.

Zero's eyes widen even more, the hedgehog look over his shoulder slowly as Zero sees his dark red eyes starring at him with no emotion. Zero frozed, he can't move, he still processing this, it's too much for him.

The Hedgehog turn around to face him properly. Hands clenched to fists starring at his blue and yellow eyes with his own red eyes.

"Chaos Spear!"

In that moment he felt it in slow motion, he can't move away, a yellow glowing harp thing is heading towards him. He can't move, why can't he move? Is it because his...afraid? No he can't be scared, he can't.

He have to move, c'mon just move, jump out of the way or get out of the way. But it's too fast the thing is too fast.

But then...

*THUD*

Zero went pale, he look at Y/N's body that just fell down, he sees red...

Red coming out and from his forehead, red liquid spilling out. Zero's face darkens as his eyes shrinks like dots.

The Hedgehog look suprised at the sudden action from the young Jackal, he clenched his hand feeling a bit hesitation for a moment. Before shaking his head and look at the older jackal still starring in disbelief.

The Jackal fell to his knees, his shakey hands reach for the younger and bring him closed, he sees his face.

His eyes still wide open, his dull (P/C) pupils are small. Blood running down staining his face. The body is cold.

"..no.." Zero finally said as he tried to find his pulse but he felt nothing.

"no...no" he then tried to hear his heart beat, still nothing.

"F*ck, no no no no" he keep mumbling as his voice breaks, tears threatening to come out and one thing came into his mind is CPR.

He began doing CPR thinking it can help but he knew it won't, but he can't help it. He can't, he just can't lose him he already lose enough.

The Hedgehog stared watching the older jackal trying to do a freaking CPR even though the young Jackal is already dead. The hedgehog clenched his hands into fists. He turn around and left, he decide to spare his life...he cause enough damage all he have to do is to sabotage the lab and leave.

The jackal didn't notice the hedgehog teleport away his still busy with Y/N, when his body is still limb and cold he breaks.

Tears start to run down his muzzle hugging the Y/N closed to his chest, blood staining him but he didn't care.

Y/N is the one he care about, he raised him, he care for him, taking hits for him, feeding him, he love him.

Zero tighten his grip on Y/N as quite sobs can be heard, surrounded by the ones he raised, he worked hard for.

All vanish in a instant.

Soon his sobs quite down, he slowly loosen his grip on Y/N, His eyes glared in pure rage and hatred, gritting his teeth.

The world is cruel.

The world hate him.

The world take everything away from him.

And now...

He'll kill them all.
