The Tree of Good and Evil

In the book of Genesis there is a very important part about the creation of sin; it is one of the first lessons the Bible teaches us. God created two people named Adam and Eve and gave them a beautiful garden to live in. The garden was called the Garden of Eden; and, it had hundreds of trees with a surplus amount of fruit growing on them. God gave Adam and Eve all the fruit they could ever ask for, and in return he asked one thing: that they didn't eat fruit from the tree that gives the knowledge of good and evil. This was not a very hard task for someone who could eat any other fruit from the garden, it wasn't like they were being starved.

The Lord God commanded him, "You may eat fruit from any tree in the garden."
~Genesis 2:16

"But you must not eat the fruit from the in which gives knowledge of good and evil. If you ever eat fruit from that tree you will die."

~Genesis 2:17

Most would think that it would be easy not to be tempted to eat the fruit; but, one thing can, and will tempt us to do anything against God's will. If you haven't guessed already who I'm talking about then I will tell you. Satan the devil.
He took the form of a snake and told Eve that by eating the fruit then she could become like God. Eve saw that the fruit from the tree was beautiful and promising; and, by eating it she could become wise. So she took off a piece and went to Adam to share with him. Remember that Adam did not take it out of force, he took it because he wanted to; therefore disobeying God's commands. This started the beginning of sin and contributed to the making of our sorry excuse for a world that we live in. In all honesty, we all have to admit that this world is a pretty messed up place. People bomb places for pleasure, kids get kidnapped, shooting is all over the news, etc. this is Satan's doing; he is the cause of the horrible things being done. Whenever I see something like that on the news I pray for the victims and the one that the Devil has chosen to victimize. If that makes sense.
It is our jobs as Christians to help spread the word of God and help him lessen the sin in this world. Because one day, we are going to our true home in heaven.

Hello everybody! I hope you all have had a wonderful day so far. I'm so truly sorry for not updating in a while, I'm not going to make up an excuse though. It's really bad how I haven't been reading my Bible as much as I should. Do you all remember when I created a challenge back in the first chapter of this book? I said to read the Bible at least two days a week, and I said I would do it on Monday and Thursday. How many actually did it? Post in the comments if you did or didn't. Also if you're worried about being embarrassed that you didn't do it, don't worry. I haven't been either. So I am the first one to say that I haven't been worshipping as much as I know I can. It's okay, God will forgive you and your sins even when you don't want to forgive yourself. May the Lord guide you in your path to be a true Christian. God Bless you forever and always.
