This is the epilogue and then this story will be completed!

4 and a half years later

It was graduation day. University graduation! Hiccup and I ended up at the same college and the past four years had it's ups and downs. I no longer talk to my mom. I've completely removed her from my life. Hiccup and I had moved into an apartment together our second year at school. Hiccup had gone for architecture and design. I went for Chemistry and Exercise Science. So basically a lot of nutrition and fitness. 

We were getting ready and I put on a navy blue dress with lace on it. The shoulder part was see through, and it went about mid-thigh. I put on my heels that were the same color and walked to the bathroom. I pulled out my make-up bag and put my hair up in a bun as I did my make-up. I brushed my hair and put a small portion of it up. I curled the rest in loose curls. I walked back to the bedroom and grabbed my silver purse that went over my shoulder. 

I headed to the living room and Hiccup was waiting for me wearing dress pants and a navy blue dress shirt, and he had his black converse on. He asked if I was ready to go and I nodded. We headed out the door and grabbed our jackets if we needed them. We got into the car and I looked at Hiccup. 

"Are you okay?" I asked him grabbing his free hand. He nodded. 

"I'm fine." He said. 

"You sure? You look nervous." I said. 

"Yeah, just graduation and started our lives after. It's nerve racking you know?" He said. I smiled a little. 

"Yeah, but we'll be doing life together. You know that." I said. He smiled and kissed my hand.  

We arrived at the school and parked and got out. We were heading inside and went to the office to get our caps and gowns. We put them on and went to join the other students. Stoick was there and Hiccup was a little surprised to see him. They talked for a moment and Stoick had to go sit down. Hiccup and I went with our class and we were lined up to get our diplomas. Hiccup's name got called and he walked up the steps to receive his diploma to the loud sound of his father. 

"THAT'S MY SON!!!" Stoick shouted. Hiccup looked embarrassed and I smiled. 

I was a few people after Hiccup and I headed up to get my diploma to hear Stoick shout for me as well. 

"THAT'S MY FUTURE DAUGHTER-IN-LAW!" Stoick shouted. I smiled as I walked down the stage and saw Hiccup with his head in his hands. I sat down in my chair again. 

They finished up with the graduation and Hiccup and I were by a tree and had asked a friend to take a couple of pictures of us. Stoick came up to us and gave us a hug. He wanted to take us out for dinner and we agreed. Hiccup wanted to take me out for a bit, he gave Stoick the spare key to our apartment so he could go there for the afternoon. It was about 2:00pm, and Hiccup and I returned our caps and gowns and went somewhere to get something small to eat. We went and hung out at a park for a while and then Hiccup told me he had a surprise for me. The sun was starting to set. He blindfolded me and said that Heather would bring me to where I needed to go. Heather took my hand and led me to where we were going. I guessed Heather knew when to show up since she was there when he mentioned her bringing me to where ever I was going. I heard the car and asked Heather if Hiccup was leaving and she told me would be too. But had to wait a bit. She lead me to her car and helped me in. We drove to wherever it was we were going. 

Heather helped me out of the car and I could smell water. We must be near the beach. She lead me to a spot and then stopped. She waited a few minutes and I heard her phone go off. 

"Okay, are you ready Astrid?" She said. 

"Have been the whole time." I said. She took off the blindfold and I opened my eyes to see a pathway in front of me. It was lined with candles all the way, further then I could see. 

"Go ahead." She said smiling. I smiled back and took a few steps. 

As I walked about a quarter the way down, I then noticed some things hanging on both sides of the path. I walked closer to them and smiled when I realized they were pictures of Hiccup and I. The first one said 'The day we met' with a heart. It was a simple picture of us just smiling together. I continued down the path and looked at the pictures and read some that had notes on them. 

'Our first date.' 

'Our first Valentine's Day.' 

'The day I said "I love you." ' 

And more. I smiled more as I walked along. It was started to get a bit darker and I made it to a big willow tree. I looked down and saw a white gazebo with lights on it. I saw Hiccup waiting for me. I smiled and continued to walk toward him. 

Hiccup's POV 

'Calm down. Calm down. It's okay. Why are you so nervous. It's just Astrid. You'll be fine.'

Astrid's Pov 

I got to the gazebo and Hiccup greeted me with a smile and a single red rose, he put the rose in a tall narrow vase on the ledge. 

"M'lady." He said taking my hand and letting me step up into the gazebo first. We faced each other and he held my hands. He met my eyes and I was smiling at him. 

"Astrid," he said. " I don't even know where to start. From the day we met in the hallway at school as I helped you pick up your books to today, graduating from university with you. There hasn't been one moment where I thought twice about being with you. You are everything to me Astrid. I love you. I can't imagine being without you. I want to grow old and have a family with you. I promise to always take care of you and protect you, because nothing can keep me from you." He said to me.

 My smile grew and Hiccup got down on one knee. He pulled out a box and opened it and I gasped slightly at the ring I saw. I covered my mouth with my hand. 

"Astrid Marie Hofferson, will you marry me?" He said. I stood there for a moment slightly shocked at what was happening. After a few minutes I nodded and moved my hand. 

"Yes! Of course I'll marry you, Hiccup!" I said. He smiled and put the ring on my finger. He stood up and kissed me. I hugged him, wrapping my arms around his neck and feeling his around my waist. We stayed like that for a moment and I looked at his eyes and kissed him again. 

"I love you." I said. He smiled and kissed me again. 

"I love you too." He said.

 After a little while he handed me the rose and I took it. We held hands and started to walk back along the pathway. I noticed all the pictures were gone and figured Heather had to have stuck around to take them down. Thinking about it she probably had been hiding and taking pictures the entire time too. Hiccup and I got to his car and got in. We went and met his dad for dinner at a fancy restaurant. 

Later that night, Stoick left to go back home and Hiccup and I went back to the apartment. We walked inside and I took off my shoes.

"My feet are killing me." I said putting them in the closest. Toothless and Stormfly came and greeted us and Hiccup got them some food. I went to the bedroom and put my purse on the desk. I looked at the ring on my hand and smiled. I felt his arms wrap around my waist and smiled. He kissed my cheek. 

"Can you help me?" I said. "Can you undo my zipper." I asked. Hiccup smiled and let go of me.

He unzipped my dress and slowly removed it from my shoulders. It fell to the ground and I stood there in front of him half dressed. I turned and faced him and started to undo his shirt. He took it off and looked at me. I kissed him and it quickly turned into making out. I ran my hands up and down his back and he took off the rest of his clothes and mine too. He kissed my jawline and my neck. I started to breathe a bit heavily. Hiccup stopped and took my hand and went to the bed with me. He sat down and I sat on his lap kissing him. He laid back and turned so he was on top. I smirked at him and he kissed me again. He moved his hands and lips up and down my body. We went a lot further that night.

5 years later 


Hiccup and I had been married for 4 years now, we got married a year after graduation, and I got pregnant right away with twin girls, Rowan and Rayna. I was 24 when I had them. They were beautiful, both of them had my blue eyes and blonde hair. They had lots of freckles like Hiccup and their face shape, nose, and eye shape were Hiccups too. Hiccup and I are 27 now, the twins almost three years old and I just recently had our third child. A son. Aiden. He was about 5 months old and his sisters adored him. 

It was getting late and Hiccup was reading in bed. The girls were asleep in their bedroom and I had finished feeding Aiden and was laying him in his crib. I shut off his light, closed the door and headed to our bedroom. I changed into my pajamas and got into the bed. Hiccup put his book down and leaned over and kissed me.  I smiled. 

"How were they?" He asked. 

"They were fine." I said. "The girls are pretty well behaved and Aiden doesn't do much yet." I said. He smiled and kissed me again. "How about you?" I asked. 

"Working on a new design for work." He said. "But I don't want to talk." He said kissing my neck. 

"Mmm. Figures." I said smirking. He looked at me. 

"I love you Mrs. Haddock." He said. I laughed a little. 

"I love you too, Mr. Haddock." I said kissing him. 

This was our life. A home, three kids that we loved, maybe more someday. But we were happy. We were together, and that's all we could really ask for.
