School is crazy! and i've been helping out a lot with a family that i'm close with and it's basically like a job. So that's been nuts too!

It had been about 3 weeks and I woke up one morning to the smell of bacon coming from downstairs. I sat up and noticed Hiccup wasn't in bed. I smirked a bit. I stretched and got up and headed downstairs. I went to the kitchen and saw Hiccup at the stove making breakfast. He turned around and smiled. 

"Good morning Milady." He said giving me a kiss on the forehead. I smiled. 

"Good morning." I said. I walked over to the fridge and opened it and grabbed the jug of orange juice. I poured myself a glass and sat down at the table. Hiccup made up two plates with eggs, bacon and toast. He brought it over and set it in front of me. I thanked him. 

He put his plate down and grabbed a glass and poured himself a glass of orange juice. He sat down beside me and we began to eat. After we were done we cleaned up and loaded the dishwasher and ran it. I went upstairs and had a shower and than got dressed. I brushed my long blonde hair and thought maybe it was time for a cut. 

"Hey babe, do you think I should cut my hair?" I called to Hiccup. 

Hiccup was in the other room getting dressed and came to the bathroom. 

"What? No! why?" He said. I laughed a little. 

"Not like a short hair cut. Just like a little below my shoulders. It's so long and the ends are all split and dead. My hair grows fast anyway." I said to him. 

"Hmm. I don't know. I think it would look nice. It's up to you really." He said. I smirked as I tied my hair into a braid. 

"Okay, I'll think about it." I told him. I walked out of the bathroom and gave him a kiss on the cheek and headed downstairs. He was behind me. 

I was wearing a pair of black leggings and one of Hiccup's shirts. I was about to go sit down when Hiccup said something. 

"I'm gonna take Toothless and Stormfly for a walk. Do you wanna come?" He asked. I sighed a little. Knowing it would be difficult for me. I was doing a lot better and no longer needed a wheelchair or crutches. But I was still kind of slow when it came to walking. I thought for a minute. 

"Sure. I'll come." I said I grabbed my shoes and sat on the steps and sighed realizing I couldn't get them on. Hiccup smirked and came over and helped me. He kissed my cheek and helped me to my feet. I grabbed my sweater and put it on. Hiccup put the leashes on the dogs and we went for a walk.  

After a couple of hours we returned back at the house. My feet were killing me and Hiccup helped me take my shoes off. He helped me to my feet as well and I headed upstairs. I sat on the bed and opened up my book and began to read it.

Later that night, I went to our bedroom and undressed. I looked in the mirror and sighed a little. My stomach was so big. I had a bunch of stretch marks and none of my clothes fit me anymore. I grabbed a nightgown and slipped it on over top of my head. I walked over to the bed and sat down and picked up my book and started reading. 

Hiccup came up a few minutes later. He let the dogs into the room and they went to their beds. Hiccup went and changed into his pajamas and joined me on the bed. He leaned over and kissed my cheek. I looked at him and smiled. 

"I love you." He said. I smiled and kissed him. 

"I love you too." I said. I looked at the clock and it was 10:30pm. I sighed. "We should sleep." I said. 

"Why? It's Sunday tomorrow." Hiccup said. I smirked. 

"Yes, and I'm pregnant with two babies who don't let me sleep half the time." I told him. He smirked and kissed me again. 

"Alright, milady. Goodnight." He said. 

"Goodnight Babe." I said.

I was tossing and turning a lot and felt a sharp pain. I looked over at the clock and read 2:30am. I sighed. I stared at the ceiling and put a hand on my stomach. I felt a sharp pain again and groaned a bit. I pushed myself up to sit up, I reached over and turned my night table light on. I looked down and my eyes widened. 

Blood. A lot of it. 

I nudged Hiccup. 

"Hiccup." He didn't move. "Hiccup, wake up." I said pushing him a little. "Hiccup!" He sat up finally. 

"Astrid. What's is it?" He asked. 

"Something's wrong. I'm bleeding." I said scared. His eyes widened and looked to where the blood was. He got up and got dressed quickly. I was trying not to scream from pain. He grabbed a bag and shoved some of his clothes, and my clothes. He put it on his back and came to my side and picked me up bridal style and brought me to the car. He raced out of the driveway and was on the way to the hospital when we heard sirens. 

"You've got to be kidding me!" Hiccup shouted and pulled over. 

I was in the passenger seat and trying to hold back my pain. The officer came over to the window. Hiccup rolled it down. 

"Are you award you're speeding sir?" The officer said. He noticed me in the passenger side. 

"Yes officer. My girlfriend here, she's pregnant with twins and she's bleeding. I need to get her to the hospital, fast." Hiccup said. I let out a painful scream. "Please officer." Hiccup said. The officer nodded. 

"Let me lead you. Stay at my speed." He said. Hiccup nodded and rolled up the window as the officer went back to his car. The officer pulled out in front of us and put his sirens on and we followed on the same speed as him, so he could lead us to the hospital. 

We got there and Hiccup parked and helped me out of the car and picked me up and brought into the emergency room. The nurse looked up. 

"My girlfriend is bleeding, she's pregnant with twins. Please help her." He said. The nurse opened the door and Hiccup carried me back to a bed. Nurses were on me right away. 

They paged a doctor and he came as soon as possible. He looked me over. 

"We need to do and emergency c-section." He stated. "Get her ready." He said leaving to get ready himself.

After about 15 mins I was being rolled down the hall to the O.R. and Hiccup was beside my bed and I wouldn't let go of his hand. We got to the room and Hiccup let go. 

"You can't come in sir. This is an emergency. We can't allow you in the room." One of the nurse said. Hiccup nodded and kissed my head. 

"No! Hiccup! Please!" I yelled as the doors closed between us. They brought me into the O.R. and gave me anesthetic to put me to sleep. They started on the c-section.

Author's POV 

Hiccup paced back and forth and finally took a seat on a chair. He sighed. His shirt was covered in blood. He threw something against the wall across from him. There was another guy there, maybe a year or two older and saw him. He walked over.

"Everything okay man?" He asked. 

"What do you think?" Hiccup said. 

"What happened?" said the guy.

"My girlfriend had to have an emergency c-section for our twin girls." Hiccup told him. "They wouldn't let me in the room with her." He said. 

"I'm sorry. That's too bad. My name is Kaden." He said holding out his hand to Hiccup. Hiccup made sure his hand didn't have blood on it before shaking his. 

"Hiccup." He told Kaden. 

"Interesting name." Kaden said. Hiccup smirked. 

"Yeah..." Hiccup said. "Why are you here?" He asked. 

"My girlfriend is having emergency surgery too. Except not for a baby. She was in a bad accident and her parents were killed on the spot, so they called me. I guess I was the first one in her list of names to call." He said. 

"I'm sorry." Hiccup said.

"Don't worry about it. You have you're own girlfriend to worry about right now." Kaden said. 

Hiccup was about to respond when he heard his name being called. 

"Hiccup Haddock?" A nurse called. Hiccup looked over and stood up. 

"Sorry Kaden. I gotta go. It was nice to meet you. Maybe I'll run into you again." Hiccup said. Kaden nodded. Hiccup picked up the bag and walked over to the nurse. 

"Will you come with me, the doctor wants to talk to you." She said. Hiccup nodded and followed her to another room.

This took me like forever to write :P

I might not update for a couple of weeks because I have my last week of classes this week and than finals. But than I have 3 weeks off and can write LOTS!!!!!
