"Even from a distance, you glow in your glory"
Adetola Adeniran.
With Bruno Mars' hit song, Uptown Funk, blaring through my earphones' speakers, I strolled casually on campus and headed to my hostel, but I stopped in my tracks when I saw this light.
The familiar light that always caught my attention and doubled my curiosity. Sometimes I'd see the light when I'm at the school's cafeteria, sometimes at the motion ground, sometimes at the amphitheater entrance, and sometimes at a random spot. Within seconds, it's gone.
When I saw it, I thought this was just a mere illusion, like other times because it never lasted, but this time it did. I watched from a distance, you were at motion ground, with a phone raised high in your hands, to take a picture of some girls, I presume are your friends and a wide and charming smile on your face.
They changed their poses while you clicked numerous shots, the smile not wavering a bit, and for a minute, my lips curved up into a smile.
When they felt they had taken enough pictures, they made you strike different poses, most of which showcased your little curves while taking pictures of you. Few more poses later, the three of you picked up your belongings and left the motion ground. I watched you all go, but my eyes were focused on you, the smile still not leaving my face.
I heard some girls laugh loudly, and I shot my head towards that direction; they looked at me like they were mocking me in their minds. I felt embarrassed a bit, so I looked away, hoping to see you, hoping to see the light, but like every other moment; it was gone, you were gone.
