(Y/n)'s POV
I stood in the hall, filling my bottle with water. Dirty Mind by 3OH3 blared through my headphones, yet my head was in the clouds as I thought about the half haired male from this morning. I pulled my bottle from the fountain and screwed the lid on it, walking back to my classroom briskly. My worry mainly being someone spotting me and saying something. I made it back and went to my small space that was filled with sketches. I looked at the size measurements for the boy I had been recently working on items for.
“Hey Mei!” I whispered to the girl, slipping my headphones down my neck. She smiled and made her way to me.
“Yeah?” I hummed, knowing I had her get the measurements of the student for me.
“His boots don’t have anything to help his body temperature, do they?” She shook her head, a bright smile on her face.
“You’re keen on noticing things! I mean, you’ve made the rest of his outfit!” I smiled, a small blush dusting my cheeks.
“Eh… He could have gotten boots from another student. That’s all." Mei shook her head.
“Nope! Hey now that we’re in class, go ahead and tell me about your soulmate~!” She giggled, moving me out to her bigger space. I grumbled, not in the mood to talk about boys, while I have boots I could make. She gave me paper and a pencil, seemingly reading my mind. “Okay! Boy. Now!” I rolled my eyes, my sketching started.
“Well… He was tall… And you know that picture of mine I carry? He had a scar right there!” Mei tilted her head and I blinked in question as I looked up, slowing my drawing to see her.
“What picture?” I looked at her stunned. Coulda sworn I showed her.. I know I havent spent 6 years without showing her.. I made my way back to my class jacket in my stall, going pale as the picture wasn’t in any pockets of mine.
“S-s-so… He has a scar over his left eye! And gorgeous red and white hair!” Mei seemed concerned at my stuttering before visibly becoming excited, bouncing in place.
“You’re describing-!”
“There you are (L/n)!” I stood straight as Power Loader walked over.
“S-sorry sir!” He shook his head, giving me a small smile.
“No need, listen, we have a student here needing help, his quirk lost control, and he’s wondering if we had any fireproof clothes around here. And we all know that’s your specialty.”
“O-oh! Yeah, of course. I believe I have some! Is he here? Did you give him my name?” He nodded.
“Yeah, said ‘(L/n) should have just what you need.’ so he’s waiting.” I sighed and grabbed the paper with my 1/3rd done sketch and shuffled past my teacher. I swiftly made my way to my stall, grabbing a top and bottoms made from my fireproof material.
“Mei?” I asked, walking back to her stall.
“Nope! For once, you get to take the clothes to a student!” My face dropped and I almost dropped the clothes.
“Fuck you.” I muttered, grabbing them back up and as I walked towards the door, I took a deep breath, letting a nice resting bitch face proceed to take the lead. I opened the door, holding out the clothes, looking to the side.
“You! Cat girl!?” I dropped the clothes and turned to the sound of his voice, I tried my hardest to scowl, but it didn’t work, a look of confliction instead too over.
“M-my names (L/n) (Y/n).” My voice was dull as I recalled his earlier interaction.
“I’m sorry… Uh thank you!” He grabbed the clothes and handed me back the pants as he walked away uncomfortably. I stared at the back of his head, half tempted to plead for him to just.. Come back. I shook off the feelings inside and shut the door, bringing the pants back and looking over my sketch. I quickly erased some stuff and scribbled more and better details down.
~Timeskip brought to you by my uncreativeness~
Lunch just couldn’t get here fast enough, and I sighed in satisfaction at the now completed boots. “So he’s a class A-1 kid?” I nodded in understanding as Power Loader confirmed silently.
“Thanks for working overtime to help the hero course, but he didn’t ask. Is Mei getting to your head?” he grimaced, I knew he loved her overconfidence, but because of it she’s a troublemaker.
“No sir! I was thinking about his other additives.” He smiled, clearly proud of his students. I grinned happily, enjoying knowing I’m making him proud. My grades and the way I act could..have possibly gained me the nickname ‘Teachers pet’. But oh well, I want to be a helper. A hero of sorts, I’ve seen what people roam this world. I put my headphones on properly and pressed play, almost scoffing at the song that played. Crush… Tessa Violet. I closed my eyes, flinging the boots over my shoulder, holding them securely. Walking out the hallway I let a smile form, seeing as most of the kids had already rushed down to the cafeteria. I hummed the song happily and upon seeing the door, I was prepared to greet Aizawa.
“Hello Aizawa sir!” I quickly huffed at the absence of the teacher, and sighed walking to his podium to write down who they belonged to.
“Who are you? Why are you in here?” I sneered, turning towards the voice, only to let out an audible groan.
“Why the fuck!” I dropped the boots seeing a raven haired female holding what appeared to be a pink heart, and by her was the nuisance who I already swore was my soulmate. I laughed dryly at the situation. But looking up at her face I noticed it was full of sheer embarrassment and anger.
“I asked who you were and why you’re here, and I’d appreciate you refrain from cursing.”
“Oh yes your highness! I’m some mere slave from the support course, here to deliver some boots to.. Uh, hero name Shoto.” Her look of complete appalled, told me I struck a nice little ol cored with her. “Now, may you please point me to his seat so I can ever so graciously leave your humble little ol quarters so you can carry on?” I gave a slight curtsy, keeping eye contact.
“That’s me.” The duel haired boy spoke up finally, causing me to actually gasp before I shook it off and grinned more, retaining character again.
“I am so sorry! It must be your quarters! I should know that a mere peasant wouldn’t understand royal marriages!” I put my hand to my face in mock horror as I dropped the boots at the podium and walked towards the door. “Enjoy the body heat leveling boots.” My voice dripped with clear venom as I shut the door before leaning on the wall, laughing a bit. “Oops! Must get back into goodie two shoes mode! Classes await and I need my best sweet smile!” I laughed, overly enjoying my little class A drama act. I skipped happily to my next class, happy that I got to practice my happy, petty voice, yet my appetite was very much lost. She was pretty… I sighed, smiling. I mean it’s totally possible he’s not even my soulmate. He’s attractive though. Perfect for each other. Both tall, gorgeous, and by her look and his father, rich. Can’t say there's a match made in heaven that’s better. My teacher greeted me, confused by my absence of food. Yes, I tend to eat lunch in the classroom, but he understood normally.
“(L/n)! Where’s that bright smile and food, girl?” He asked loudly, causing me to chuckle.
“Partially in class 1-A’s room…” I muttered, yet not missing his attentive ears.
“Something happen? Did you get bullied?” The tall blond sat by me, his mustache framing his frowning mouth. I opened mine to speak before I closed my mouth. He had been by far my favorite core class teacher, couldn’t hurt.
“Nope! Just.. think I found my soulmate? Though, he hasn’t found me...” He let out a deep sigh, letting me know he 100% gets it.
“How about some gossip?” I rolled my eyes, smiling gently.
“I’m not telling you who! Tell me about yours…” He laughed a bit as I shoved him.
“Fine. But you already know him.” He grinned as I turned to him, more surprised that I knew this person..
