Chapter 4
You sat in silence, face consumed in red as you pushed your food around your plate. You could feel your brothers eyes on you as you sat at the table eating. Inko was quiet as she looked at you and proceeded to grin. "So (Y/N), you and Kacchan..."
"Mom please don't..." You muttered, your face reddening.
"(Y/N) you should have told me! I promise I won't make a big deal of it, but this is big! Your first boyfriend!" She blurted.
"Kacchan isn't- We're not-" your speech dissolved into growls as you hid your face on the table.
After you kissed Bakugou he was stunned, looking at you like you'd backhanded him. Inko and Midoriya had frozen in place and you took the opportunity to shove him out the door and close the door between your family and him. At this point you were sure he hated your guts.
Leaving most of your food untouched you pushed away from the table with a weak smile. "I'm not that hungry tonight. I'll see you guys in the morning." You said briefly, turning to leave without watching for their reaction.
"Oh, well, goodnight (Y/N)! Don't spend all night texting Kacchan!" She teased.
You forced a laugh then locked yourself in your room, sinking against the door and growling as you hid your face. "Dear God I'm dead! I'm so fucking dead! That's it, I'm just going to die. Right now. I'm never leaving this room again." You groaned. "Kacchan is going to kill me!"
A light rap tapped against the door and you heard Izuku speak quietly. "(Y/N)? Are you okay?" He asked.
"I'm fine." You muttered. "Just dying..."
"Can I come in?" He asked.
"At your own risk."
You moved away from the door and flopped in the middle of the floor. Izuku opened the door and looked at you, his expression twisting with faint laughter. "You okay?"
"Not really. I kissed Kacchan. When we arrive tomorrow, I will be dead. He will kill me... such is fate."
You buried your face and growled, ready to give up on life. "Hey Izuku! Make sure I get buried next to mom. That is if my body is still in tact and not a pile for ashes!"
"Oh come on (Y/N), it's not that bad!" He tried to say, but you looked at him with a lame expression.
"Yeah well you didn't forcibly kiss Kacchan. I did." You grumbled.
"Just avoid him until it blows over." Izuku suggested.
"But he's going to bring it up at some point!" You complained.
"He can't be that petty."
"This is Kacchan we're talking about." You retorted, raising a brow. "He isn't known for his cool head."
Izuku sighed, rolling his eyes. "Well if you die I promise we'll give you a nice funeral." He assured.
"I leave it all to my cat!" You shouted as he closed the door.
"You don't own a cat!" He replied.
"Dammit! Then buy a cat and leave my will to it."
There was silence beyond the door and you sighed. Standing up, you changed into some more comfortable PJs and slithered under your covers. You tapped away at your phone until eventually you fell asleep.
When you woke the next morning, you dressed yourself numbly and wished Inko goodbye as you trudge alongside your brother.
"You don't look too good." Izuku said.
"I've accepted my fate." You said, straightening your posture as you tied back your hair.
Izuku laughed, nudging you. "Welcome to the club. I call it Kacchan's Hitlist."
"How conveniently named." You teased. "Please, allow me to join."
The two of you laughed before smiling. A sweet sounding "Hey" rang in the air and you turned to see Uraraka jogging up to meet you. "Good morning!" She chirped, grinning a sunny smile at you. "How did you guys sleep?"
"Well enough," Izuku replied.
"Sleep is for the weak." You joked. "You?"
"Oh I slept well! Do you mind if we walk together?" She asked.
"Of course!" Izuku blurted. You snickered and nodded.
Together the three of you entered the school, talking nonchalantly. You enjoyed having a girl friend to talk to. After years of only having Izuku around, you felt it was about time to have a chick around.
As you entered the classroom, you shuddered and you could tell. Kacchan was already there, staring at you the instant you entered. Uraraka seemed to sense it as she glanced between you and Bakugou. "Are you alright?" She asked gently, placing a hand on your shoulder.
You turned robotically and walked straight towards your seat. It went swimmingly until you fell flat on your face, tripping over something that protruded into the aisle. You didn't bother looking back, instead scrambling to your feet and swinging down into your desk. Yanking at the collar of your jacket, you hid your face and lectured yourself about tripping up. Luckily you wore shorts beneath your skirt, just in case.
Izuku took his seat next to you and Uraraka took her, still speaking to him long after you secluded yourself from the world via sweater town. Population: you.
As the class settled down, you revealed your face again and looked forward, expecting to see Aizawa sensei but instead seeing the famed All Might.
"All right students, today we are going to further test your abilities by having you guys engage in roleplay simulation of heroes and villains."
Wow, how fun...
You never really enjoyed the thought of roleplay, thinking it was just glorified acting with a fancy name.
"First, head to the locker room and suit up. We'll be meeting at the same location as the entrance exams so hurry up and change. I'll finish explaining there." All Might concluded, clapping his hands together. "Go!"
You were starstruck by All Might, almost forgetting how to move while everyone else filed out of the room. Slowly you made your way to the locker room with Uraraka by you. You opened your locket and found a fancy looking suit which design was only familiar by dream. "Oh my God it's the exact same!" You gasped, snatching the costume and holding it against you.
Quickly you changed, pulling it over you excitedly then looked in the mirror. The suit was skin tight, with a skirt and attached at the waist. The skirt fell just over your knee. Over the span of your suit, thin, angular lines climbed your body, all the color of gold. It also lined the trim of your skirt.
The arms of the suit wrapped all around to the fingertips, covering all the way you to mid neck in the base black material. You also had a small black mask that when applied over your eyes caused your eyes to match the color of your trim. Finally you pulled on a pair of black ankle boots.
"This is exactly like I wanted!" You squealed. "One last test!"
You took a deep breath and your body disappeared, melding into the air with you. Not only did the suit remained on your body, but it seemed to disappear with it. When you returned the lines had turned white and your grinned.
Looking up, you looked at Uraraka and held back a squeal. For the torso and her thighs the suit was fitted black, pink climbing up her stomach and taking the collar of her suit. She seemed to have a belt like objects around her waist and her knee down was protected by large pink boots that matched the bulbous orbs that surrounded her wrist. Her shoulders were covered in twinning patches of pink. Her face was protected by a futuristic looking helmet, also themed pink, and you smiled.
"It looks perfect on you!" You said, nodding in approval.
"Yours looks amazing as well (Y/N)! You look amazing in that suit!"
"Thanks!" You grinned. "Come on! Let's show Izuku!" You suggested, pulling her out of the locker room. You ran the entire way to the meeting spot and nearly crashed into another student on the way in. It was a boy with half and half hair, his costume like a normal dress shirt and pants except for his left side being completely covered by ice.
You quickly located Izuku and shoved Uraraka ahead of you. "Bro! Look at how cute her costume is!" You shouted at him, smiling like a proud mother.
"(Y/N) not so loud!" Uraraka begged.
"But you're just so damn cute!" You gushed, clapping your hands around your face.
"Your costume looks good too." Izuku complimented. You recognized his costume after watched mom work on it forever. It made you happy to see he wore it rather than get a new one made.
"Okay!" All Might interrupted, sending a glance your way. "The this will work is that four people will play a game of heroes and villains using the cityscape. Two heroes, two villains. The goal for heroes to get to the villains' weapon and disable it, or disable the villains. The villain's goal is to protect their weapon or, like the heroes, subdue their heroes. Teams will be picked at random and the villains have 10 minutes to prepare for the heroes. Is everyone ready?"
After a chorus of yes, All Might revealed a bracket displaying the teams and who they played. As you scanned your way up to the first fight, you felt your heart stop as you read your pairing.
"Oh God!" You muttered, slowly growing more and more red. "Why does life hate me?!"
"What's wrong (Y/N)?" Izuku asked.
You pointed to the first pairing in sheer distaste before shrinking. "Why, of all people, am I paired up with Kacchan?!" You whined.
"Now (Y/N), when you one day become a hero you will not get a say in who happens to be around when trouble arises. This is also something I wanted to emphasize in this training. Bakugou, (Y/N), head into the city and hide your bomb. Uraraka and Izuku stay here. You may discuss tactics if you want but what you do is up to you. Now go!"
You groaned and trudged to the building, Bakugou soon at your side. You avoided his gaze, instead taking to air and looking about the building. Once returning to the front, you lifted the bomb, finding it exceptionally light. "What do you think you're doing?" Bakugou barked, following you as you moved throughout the building.
"Well did you plan on leaving it at the front step for them to find?" You muttered.
He fell quiet before snapping at you again. "And you didn't think to ask me what I think about what I want?"
You shot a look and him and growled, "Stop sounding like a butthurt bitch and just find somewhere to stand. I'm going to hide the bomb then encase it."
"Excuse you but this is my grade as well as yours and I'm not going to have you fuck it up!"
You stopped and thought for a moment, deciding to set down the bomb in a shaded corner. You took some materials that were laying around and used them to cover the bomb. "Izuku is going to expect I was smart and put it as far and difficult as it can go." You muttered to yourself. "So I'm leaving it about three quarters instead and I'm camouflaging it."
Looking down at your boots, you pried one off and jogged down two floors. Throwing it to the ground, you made sure it looked like you dropped it. "This is going to throw him off, thinking I've blended into air and he'll be looking for my other tells when I'm adapted to air."
You whipped around and pointed at Bakugou. "What you're going to do is-"
"You can't order me around!" He growled, shoving past you. "I know exactly what I'm going to do."
His expression seemed sinister as he walked past you. You grabbed his shoulder and with a venomous tone you hissed, "Bakugou, if you harm my brother I will not hesitate to return the favor to you."
He laughed obnoxiously. "You wouldn't. I'm on your side." He smirked.
Your grin curled in a twisted manner and you spoke with a monotone and serious stature. "You see, the thing is about villains, they won't hesitate to betray the people 'on their side.'" You patted his back in a belittling way and brushed past him. "I'm just playing the part..."
Yep. He hated you.
