Chapter 12
Bakugou left not too late after eating with you. For a little while you sat in front of a pile of dishes and just talked. He was cautious to let you summarize fabricated stories before he attempted to respond to Inko's questions. By the end of it all, Bakugou only left because of a text received from his worried mother.
You stood and walked him out, smiling and joking as you ushered him out. "I'll see you at school tomorrow Kacchan." You hummed wistfully, smiling almost too broadly.
"Yeah, okay (Y/N)." He muttered, rubbing at his neck as he left. "See you tomorrow."
You closed the door with a grin ghosting your face. A red glaze brushed your cheeks as you moved lightly through the air, almost too lightly...
"(Y/N)! You feet are disappearing again." Inko chimed, smirking at you.
You yelped as your feet went back to normal and you picked up your socks. "Izuku, help your sister with the-"
"No worries, I got this handled." You assured, taking the pile of dirty dishes into your hands and moving them towards the sink.
You hummed as you rolled back your sleeves and ran water into the sink. You scrubbed each dish perfectly clean then toweled them off and placed them neatly back in their place. Throwing the rag back over it's hook you danced across the floorboards back to your room. You could feel Inko's eyes on your back as you close the door to your room and sat at your desk. You stared at your phone for a bit. Hoping it would light up for some vague reason, then sighed and flopped on to your bed.
You were so happy and you couldn't pinpoint why. You just kept smiling as you repeated the same jumbled thoughts in your head. A light knock grabbed your attention before Izuku poked his head inside the room. "Uh, (Y/N), can I come in?" He asked.
"It seems you already have." You lolled sarcastically, laying on your bed and propping your feet up against the wall. "But sure."
He stepped into the room and closed the door behind him. "Hey, there's something I wanted to ask you after seeing all... that."
"All what?" You asked, raising a brow as you looked at him from upside down.
"All that stuff with Kacchan. The giggling... the smiling... you were blushing the entire time."
You sat up instantly and shook your head. "Nuh uh, no way! I was not blushing! I probably just had too much hot sauce is all."
"(Y/N), we didn't have any hot sauce... you ate it all last week." Izuku refuted.
You face flushed red again and you crossed your arms again. "Well I don't care. I wasn't blushing."
Izuku forced a laugh as he sat in your desk chair and looked at you. "Okay, don't hate me for this, but I have a hypothesis about this."
You narrowed your gaze as you looked at him. "That depends completely on your hypothesis." You sneered.
You could almost see the fear in his grin as he forced another laugh. "Wow! Relax (Y/N), I promise it's nothing too big. Just wondering..."
"Go on..."
"I was thinking, after seeing how you two acted tonight, that maybe you and Kacchan really do have feelings for each other?"
You calm expression was replaced with something sinister and embarrassed. "Izuku, you have ten seconds to run before I track you down and murder you."
"W-What?! (Y/N) calm down! I promise I won't-"
"One, two... ten!" You lunged at your brother and he cried out as he scrambled to escape you.
Barely missing, he escaped the room and slammed the door behind him. You growled to yourself as you walked back to your bed and curled up beneath the sheets. Soon training would start, but you wouldn't be able to start immediately since you were injured. You decided you'd just follow Izuku and watch his god training until you were well enough to use your quirk again. But his words still lingered in your head though.
You and Kacchan having feelings for each other? Sure. When pigs fly and you win a race. The thought still nagged at you though, until the very moment you fell asleep.
Do I have feelings for Kacchan?

"What do you mean you're coming with me?!" Izuku yelped.
"I mean I'm going with you. I can't train until I'm all healed so I'll just intrude on you and see what exactly turned my wimp of a brother into a powerhouse." You said bluntly.
"But you said Recovery Girl cleared you!" He protested.
"I said I was okay enough to walk. I still have to be careful running, sprinting is not possible right now, weight lifting has to be monitored extremely close and only twos set of ten reps maximum. Hell, I'm not even allowed to use my metal or fire aspects right now and she said to avoid my air quirk because it might effect my healing with a shifting body."
"Why don't you visit your mom?" He asked.
"I can't spend all day with mom, I don't have enough intel yet, so in other words you're stuck with me until I'm fixed up."
"I really don't think-"
"Young Midoriya!" A familiar voice boomed.
You jumped in shock as suddenly All Might appeared before you. Izuku seemed flustered as he tried to speak but All Might spoke over him. "Now that break is starting it is the perfect time for you to finally master One for All! Of course this will be hard, you will endure great pain and sacrifice but you shall-"
"No way." You cut in, looking between All Might and Izuku in turn. "No way! This totally explains everything!!! The random meetings! The not freaking out and fanboying when you saw him! You're training with All Might aren't you!!!"
Izuku shushed you desperately as you laughed at the irony. All Might seemed frozen as you keeled over laughing. "Oh my fucking god I'm telling everyone!"
"W-Wait (Y/N)! You can't!"
You took a breath and calmed yourself. "Huh? Why? It's not illegal or anything." You mused. "Or is it something else?"
Izuku looked at All Might and they exchanged looks back and forth before looking back at you. "Young Midoriya, are you certain about this?"
He nodded and took your wrist. "Follow me, we need to talk somewhere more private."
You winced and tried to pull your wrist away, his grip too tight. All Might took you by the collar, as well as Izuku and launched into the sky, making you screaming. Izuku choked back a chuckle as you clung to All Might's wrist. As you landed on top of a building, you fell to your knees and rolled on to your back. "Don't ever... do that again..." you gasped.

They both stared at you expectantly as you processed everything. You closed your eyes and thought for a moment before nodding. "Yeah, I get it." You said bluntly, opening your eyes so you looked at All Might. "This makes sense now."
Izuku sighed in relief. "So you're understand everything. Please don't tell anyone! Only a select few people know about All Might's weakness and One for All."
"To be honest, I'm not surprised it turned out like this. Do you know how rare it is to develop a quirk past the age of four? It almost never happens." You switched your gaze to All Might, or as you could know call him Toshinori, and smiled. "Thank you for choosing Izuku. You about saved his entire life's dream. Mine too."
Izuku seemed confused and you went on. "When we were kids Izuku and I would talk about being the best heroes in the world. About how we'd go to UA together and become the most badass heroes ever, but when the doctor's said Izuku would never get a quirk that all went askew. I promised myself I'd only become a hero if Izuku did too. So I kinda owe it all to you."
Toshinori laughed and pat your head a bit too roughly. "I don't think I could've chosen a better suitor. Thank you for being understanding."
You narrowed your gaze and laughed. "Well it's not like I could've done anything else anyway. I can't exactly go and spew your secret without getting locked up and the key disappearing. Honestly."
Izuku smiled and you did as well. "Well, I'm gonna leave you guys to train then. I can't be useful by watching so I'll visit mom and head home."
"Are you sure? You don't have to go." Izuku offered.
"I'm sure. I've had years to practice with my quirk. You just got yours so I'll let you practice it by yourself. Besides, I owe mom some flowers."
Izuku smiled and you did as well. You moved to the stairs and left the building the mundane way, walking through the city you'd memorized. You hummed to yourself as you thought over the new information. You didn't mind it as much as it would bother any normal person. More than anything you were just happy that it had happened in the first place.
You walked with a jump in your step as you made your way to the flower shop. The store front held boxes of daisies and buttercups, all flourishing with color and vigor. The store owner's quirk was Grow, meaning no matter the season or the plant it would flourish with beauty and health. She's grown to remember you after your regular visits.
Even as you walked in the door, she looked at you and grinned happily. Her hair was dyed purple with brilliant green eyes. Her skin was dark like roasted hazel. Today she wore a blue bandanna on her head and a matching apron over her caprices and t-shirt. "(Y/N)! Welcome back!" She chirped. "You look like hell... I guess the news wasn't exaggerating."
"Hi Violet." You retorted. "How's the store been doing?"
"Awesome! Some guy the other day almost bought out the entire store. I wonder what he did wrong. Are you getting the usual?"
You giggled as you nodded, looking about the store though you knew you most likely wouldn't buy anything else. Violet swept over to the lilies and began to cut you some fresh flowers as you gazed at the beautiful array of blooms. As you walked among the rows, you froze at a box of rose. Nothing particularly was wrong with them, but you felt the need to stop at them. Your hand extended towards them, picking a rose between it's thorns and plucking it away.
Violet's head whipped around as she sensed the separation and she looked at the rose in your hand. A sly smirk stretched across her face as she watched you. "You know, if it's only the one rose, since you're such a loyal customer, I could throw it in free of charge." She offered.
Your face flushed red as you looked at her and you tried to cover. "What, this? Oh no no, I didn't mean- well I was just looking and... whatever... sure."
You placed the rose on the counter and Violet snickered as she took the lilies and wrapped them expertly in a folded boutique of tissue paper. With a wave of her hand the thorns disappeared from the rose and she handed it to you separately. "Someone on your mind?" She asked, raising a brow. "I don't think you've ever given the roses a second glance before."
"N-No. They just looked really nice today." You blurted, paying for the lilies and taking the boutique. "See you next week!"
Violet waved at you and you returned the gesture. "Remember I have a sale going on Friday to Sunday! Half off all boutiques! Tell you mom I said hi!"
"All right Violet. See you later."
As you let, you twisted the rose in your fingers, watching as the crimson petals danced around one another. The hue reminded you of a pair of eyes you adored but you brushed away the thought. Walking the streets, you made your way to the cemetery within only a few minutes.
You sang quietly as you followed the same battered path to her grave. But when you looked up, someone stood over her grave already. They just stared at it silently, not moving or speaking as they watched it. A hoodie over their head hid their identity but you didn't fear approaching them.
It didn't seem like anyone dangerous so you walked forward without hesitation. They seemed to notice your footsteps as you proceeded. Kneeling at the gravestone, you looked at a boutique that already sat there, a collection of beautifully colored flowers. You placed your own tribute and reached your hands above your head to untie your hair and grip the ribbon in your fingers.
Putting your hands together, you closed your eyes and prayed. After moment of silence, you opened your eyes again and looked at the gravestone. The person still hovered over you and you finally spoke up. "How did you know her?" You asked bluntly, not bothering to look.
"Mom of a friend of mine. I didn't get to see her much before she passed, but I thought I should pay my respect."
You recognized his gruff tone and you looked up at your favorite Explodo King. Smiling, you looked at him and motioned for him sit. "Wow Kacchan. I didn't ever think I'd see you here. How'd you know where my mom was buried?"
"I've seen you here a few times, and knowing your last name made it easy."
You nodded and looked back at your mother's name. "Well, I appreciate it." You said sweetly.
For a moment it was quiet until Bakugou's biting tone interrupted snappily. "Who gave you a rose?"
