I had so many plans for us:
pumpkin patch dates and carving nights,
carnival kisses at the traveling fair,
gingerbread building contests, and
Christmas light drives.

All of these wishes passed with time.
I never experienced them with you,
the person I loved.
I feel like I should have.
I just watched time continue on
and you not love me during it.
